Shattered Shards

looking in the
distance
suddenly a star
appeared.

Revealing a
face
so familiar
a face of
yester-year.

It burst into
a million pieces
scattering shards
through out the
universe.

Impossible to
retrieve
until this day
one small piece
remains missing.

Leaving me
wandering
forever searching
