I saw a man (in answer to Don Mattera)

I saw a man, whose life had been affirmed,
by the new black government,
who was constantly job hunting
and getting nothing.

He was utterly lonely on the street,
could not afford even to buy bread or milk,
nor to pay for a place to sleep

and while he was barely staying alive,
there was no way to even date a girlfriend,
even to have one
and you talk about lonely people,
about a sea of tears?
