Wildwood Boys
(j. dickinson-r. cooder)
This here was our situation
We was just young wildwood boys
New as the birth of the nation
The kind that the army employs
High riding rebs from missouri
Fought for the grey ? ? ?
Caught up by the battle and the fury
Back when just living was hell
After the battle was over
And after the union had won
It was quitting that made us the loser
So we kept doing just what wed done
Riding as comrads together
We looted the trains and the banks
Removing that carpetbag money
And sticking it hard to the yanks
Death always follows behind you
When you ride down that old outlaw trail
Someday a bullet will find you
Or youll rot like a corpse in some jail
Turning your back to the danger
Is a wager no man can afford
cause gold turns a friend to a stranger
Like old judas turned on our lord
Men are revered and remembered
While they lay in that coffin and rot
Some live in the legends of history
Most are forever forgot
The victory it goes to the strongest
And only the strong will survive
Survival is living the longest
But nobody gets out alive
The questions dont never get answered
And the rights, theyre remembered all wrong
The facts, they can get plenty confusing
So someday if you happen to be singing this song
Remember its just for the record
You cant change the handwork of fate
And tell em I lived for the moment
And I died when I tried to go straight

Survival Car
Dont you wanna ride in my
Survival car
We can take the long way home
Through central park
Funny how the ground can find my wheels
Im going where the road aint there
And only riding on the path we made
To union square
Doing like the young folks do
In west coast towns
Plowing like a banshee through
The overground
Funny how the ground can find my wheels
Im going where the road wont dare
And only riding on the path we made
To union square
Everybody hit the ground
I think I might have missed my calling
Everybody turn around
The lights about to change
You better stand aside
Why you wanna walk
Dont you want to ride ride ride ride
Dont you wanna ride in my

The comeback kid (song)
The comeback kid
~
I walked into am ambush I was overrun
Got caught out by feelings and thoughts
Led to into a limbo dance I became mystified
And this was just the beginning
~
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a comeback to behold
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a place to come back to
~
They say in every song there is a story
In every poem a tale is hid from view
The are many things we will come to say
And I guess that is just our little way
~
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a comeback to behold
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a place to come back to
~
Now where do we go from here
It’s a situation I am not used to
I’m all confused I have no clue
Can you take my hand, lead me from here
To where’ve you wish to
~
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a comeback to behold
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a place to come back to
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a comeback to behold
I forgot about love, then remembered you
What a place to come back to

Maybe Someday
Maybe someday youll be satisfied
When youve lost everything youll have nothing left to hide.
When youre through running over things like youre walking cross the tracks,
Maybe youll beg me to take you back.
Maybe someday youll find out everybodys somebodys fool,
Maybe then youll realize what it would have taken to keep me cool.
Maybe someday when youre by yourself alone
Youll know the love that I had for you was never my own.
Maybe someday youll have nowhere to turn,
Youll look back and wonder bout the bridges you have burned.
Youll look back sometime when the lights grow dim
And youll see you look much better with me than you do with him.
Through hostile cities and unfriendly towns,
Thirty pieces of silver, no money down.
Maybe someday, you will understand
That something for nothing is everybodys plan.
Maybe someday youll remember what you felt
When there was blood on the moon in the cotton belt.
When both of us, baby, were going though some sort of a test
Neither one of us could do what we do best.
I should have known better, baby, I should have called your bluff.
I guess I was too off the handle, not sentimental enough.
Maybe someday, youll believe me when I say
That I wanted you, baby, in every kind of way.
Maybe someday youll hear a voice from on high
Sayin for whose sake did you live, for whose sake did you die?
Forgive me, baby, for what I didnt do
For not breakin down no bedroom door to get at you.
Always was a sucker for the right cross.
Never wanted to go home til the last cent was lost.
Maybe someday you will look back and see
That I made it so easy for you to follow me.
Maybe someday therell be nothing to tell.
Im just as happy as you, baby, I just cant say it so well.
Never slumbered or slept or waited for lightning to strike.
Theres no excuse for you to say that we dont think alike.
You said you were going to frisco, stay a couple of months.
I always liked san francisco, I was there for a party once.
Maybe someday youll see that its true
There was no greater love than what I had for you.

Someday
Someday, rested from hours of sleeping
Well stay safely behind what were keeping
Youll seem warmer than I had remembered you
Lying so close Ill be able to feel you breathe
I could never leave
One day, when I am able to love you
Ill come back from wherever Ive been to
Ill see you looking the same as you always have
Lovely, so lovely, Ill cling to the love you give
So Ill start to live
Someday is coming
If I believe it
Someday always brings the good life you knew ...
Ever back to you
(*) how I need you
Someday, all I can give you is someday
Someday, all I can offer is someday
Please say that youll be waiting when someday comes
Promise me this and a kiss, to keep what you are
Always close to me
Repeat (*)

Presidential Stand
the world economy has gotten out of hand
president OBAMA is the first to take a stand.
he told the republicans: i will do whatever
i have to do 'with or without you'.
we can not stand idlely by and see our nation die.
there will be controversy on what will
and what will not work. but if we do nothing
to help the economy.
'it will show we failed in our history'.
the president has problems galore
and different solutions he has in store.
he is doing what no president has done before.
by grabbing the bull by the reins
and riding it all the way.
will he fall or will he stay?
we must help him make the corral smaller
so that he does not fall to the ground.
then no solutions will be found.
our nation and all the world is watching him
and if we don't help, it's a crying sin.
what will it take for this nation to see
he's the first black president in our history.
it seems like he's fighting a losing battle
with very little support from his peers.
who are still living in fear.
the politicians think:
what if i help and it does'nt work?
i will be the political jerk. i will get so much slack
and there won't be any turning back.
but! if his plans do succeed, on his plans i can feed.
i can ride the waves to the top, and knowing that i will not flop.
the public always remembers the bad
and very rarely the good.
either way it will go into our history books.
of the stands that we took.
i would prefer to be remembered as the afterthought
briefly in their minds, rather than not at all.
because i did'nt have the gall
to stand up for something thats right
and help him to continue the fight.
so it is up to all of us, and 'in him we'll put our trust'.
no one person can do it all by themselves
and we know this very well.
for everything that he has fought
as politicians we should all give our support.
we must do whatever it takes
to help the country, before it's too late.

Outlaw
(coverdale/lord/marsden)
When I left my home
I was not much more than a child,
My mother started crying
She knew that I was born to be wild
cos I was looking for the bright lights of the big city,
A red hot town where the girls are pretty
I took to the highway,
Chasing my dream down the line
Heading out for trouble,
Never finding my peace of mind
cos I been run out of town so many times before
An usually kind of places where I cant go back no more
Outlaw - born outside of the law,
Just another outlaw,
Man on the run will always take chances for fun
I never find it easy trying to keep the feeling alive,
Ive always been a dreamer,
Dreamers find it hard to survive
When theyre living in the bright lights of the big city,
A red hot town where the girls are pretty
Outlaw - born outside of the law,
Just another outlaw,
Man on the run will always take chances for fun
Outlaw - born outside of the law,
Just another outlaw,
Man on the run will always take chances for fun
Outlaw - born outside of the law,
Just another outlaw,
Man on the run will always take chances for fun
Born outside of the law,
Just another outlaw,
Man on the run will always take chances for fun
Outlaw, outlaw,
Man on the run will always take chances for fun

Right To Cry
He kept it all inside - alive and screaming
Tears were not his style, his pride was leading
I watched the light dancing on the sea
As it turned to grey
Oh, how I wish that the tide would soon return
Someday, someday
Ive a right to cry
Thats not giving in
Scars from you and i, scars we kept within
Theres a right to cry, its not giving up
With my right to cry, now Ive had enough
Its hard to break the bones of life, of living
A side youll never show, let go, dont need it
Hold on, hold on, hold on
I can see in your eyes and I know how youre going to feel
I watched the light dancing on the sea
As it turned to grey
Oh, how I wish that the tide would soon return
Someday, someday
Ive a right to cry
Thats not giving in
Scars from you and i, scars we kept within
Theres a right to cry, its not giving up
With my right to cry, now Ive had enough

Legacy Of Kings
Out in the fields
The full moon is rising
Enlightens the name on our shields
Blessed with pride
Steel on our side
Were horsemen of thunder
The ground starts to shake as we ride
Side by side
Stormbringer led us into the unknown
On wings of glory we will carry on
Legacy of kings c legacy of kings
Forever to surrvive, were
Riding on the winds c riding on the winds
Unchained and free, alive forevermore
Deep in the night
We circle around them
The honor compels us to fight
All for one
All hewed with steel
In the toil of the battle
Our enemies fate will reveal
And be sealed
The chill of the wind keeps on calling our names
Theres no turning back now, keep hold of the flame
Legacy of kings c legacy of kings
Forever to surrvive, were
Riding on the winds c riding on the winds
Unchained and free, alive forevermore
Now we are here
And there is nothing left to fear
The secrets of steel
The path of glory will reveal
Legacy of kings c legacy of kings
Forever to surrvive, were
Riding on the winds c riding on the winds
Unchained and free, alive forevermore

Riding The Rainbow
(words & music by weisman - wise)
Im riding the rainbow, hitting the highway to happiness
Oh yes, Im looking to find someone whose meant to be mine
Im living to love
And loving to live
Ive got a heart
Im longing to give
Im riding the rainbow, Ill follow that star to where you are
Im riding the rainbow, heading for heaven and happiness
I guess somebody somewhere, someday will teach me to care
But being alone,
Dont bother me
Im free to have fun
Its fun to be free
Im riding the rainbow, Ill follow that star
Im riding the rainbow to where you are

I Need Your Love
Something deep inside of me
Keeps holding on to your memory
How Ive tried to find someone new
But everywhere I look its you that I see
Dont you know that my whole life has changed
I cant look at the past without feeling the pain
And at night all alone I just cry
And I hope, and I pray youll be
Back by my side
I need your love
Every day seems forever without you
I need your love
Tell me that youll come back to me
All my friends tell me
Ill be ok
That someday Ill forget you
And Ill love once again
But someday seems so far away
And I know I wont make it without you in the end
Tell me how can I go on this way
Knowing that someone else could be
Taking my place
Tell me where in the world would I be
If I wake up each morning and youre not here with me
I need your love
Everyday seems forever without you
I need your love
Tell me that youll come back to me
I need your love
Every day seems forever without you
I need your love
Tell me that youll come back to me
I need your love
Every day seems forever without you
I need your love
Tell me that youll come back to love me

Find Out
Ive seen em doing battle
Ive heard in times of war
Still I keep on going
Though its different than before
Theyve been riding high
Up where the cold winds blow
Miles above that highway
Where the rest of us all go
To find out
You have to find out
Its good to find out
Before you open your mouth
Find out
Now dont you find out
You better find out
Before you fill in the blanks
Go find out what it takes
To make a boy break down and cry
Go find out his young mistake
Is a premature goodbye (its a privilege you can buy)
Find out
Where it goes
Find out
Faster roads
Find out
It never grows
Find out
For yourself
You never tried to find the time it takes
To work it out
Its not a waste to taste
The sweat it takes
To work it out
Work!
You dont need a battle
You dont need a war
You dont need any lessons
To find out whats in store
You been riding high
You felt the cold winds blow
Now get back on the highway
Where the others have to go
And find out
And maybe when you do
Youll even find out
You havent got a clue
Unless you find out
Its never like they say
Your gonna find out
Youll take it all the way
Go find out what it takes
To make a boy break down and cry
Go find out his young mistake
Is a premature goodbye (its a privilege you can buy)
You never tried to find the time it takes
To work it out
Its not a waste to taste

You better find out.

Outlaw
I'm a stranger in town and my guns never cold
I'm a gambler so bet on your life
You'll never live to grow old
I deal in lead I won't step aside
Where trouble's waitin well so am I
I live for the fight the thrill of the kill
Paid in gold for the blood I spill
Outlaw outlaw outlaw ride
Into the West a gun by your side
Hell and glory honor and pride
A gun will decide where the outlaws ride
The law of the West was the law of the gun
Shoot and be fast live on the run
Stay alive be fast on the draw
Live by the gun or die by the law
Outlaw outlaw outlaw ride
Into the West a gun by your side
Hell and glory honor and pride
A gun will decide where the outlaws ride
Shot through the heart in the blink of an eye
Buried up on boot hill
Life is cheap when the bounty is high
So be ready to kill
The law of the West was the law of the gun
Shoot and be fast live on the run
Stay alive be fast on the draw
live by the gun or die by the law
Shot of whisky I'll be on my way
Back in the saddle pull on the reins
Spurs to the beast over the hill
Another town one more kill
Outlaw outlaw outlaw ride
Into the West a gun by your side
Hell and glory honor and pride
A gun will decide where the outlaws ride

Love Has Remembered Me
Written by: myles goodwyn
Love wont remember me
Its been so long
And thats what Ive told myself
But you proved me wrong
You opened up my eyes
And helped me to see
That love has a way of finding
Those in need
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered, love has remembered me
I felt so all alone
And at times afraid
That love had foresaken me
It just seemed that way
Then you walked into my life
And you turned my whole world around
Ours is a true love
It cant be found
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered, love has remembered me
Love wont remember me
Its been so long
And thats what Ive told myself
But you proved me wrong
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
It seems too long since weve been together
Love has remembered me (love has remembered)
Its been so long, seemingly forever
Love has remembered
Love has remembered
Love has remembered

Someday We'll Know
90 miles outside Chicago
Can't stop driving I don't know why
So many questions I need some answers
2 years later you're still on my mind
Whatever happened to the Uptown theatre?
Yeah it held the stars up in the sky
Is true love just once in a lifetime?
Did the captain of the Titanic cry
Someday we'll know
Why love can't move mountain
Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't there for you
Does anybody know the way to Atlantis?
Or what the wind says when she cries
I'm speeding by the place where I met you
For the 97th time
(Chorus)
Someday we'll know
Why love can't move a mountain
Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't there for you
Someday we'll know
If love is do or die for
Someday we'll know
Why it died so soon
Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't there for you
I bought a ticket back to where I came from
I watched my past crash in the sea
If I could ask you just one question
Why aren't you here with me?
(chorus)
Someday we'll know
Why love can't move a mountain
Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't there for you
Someday we'll know
If love is do or die for
Someday we'll know
Why it died so soon
Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't there for you
Someday we'll know
Someday we'll know
Someday we'll know

Im Catchin Hell
Written by chuck jackson and marvin yancy
Tonight, i, I just want to talk to the ladies, oh fellows your cool but girls
If youve got a good man, youd better keep him,
Oh I know youre saying right now, what does she know
Who is she to tell me about my situation, well, I dont know your situation
But whatever it is, you should try to stay together
You know that big argument that you had the other night, remember
Well, today its not nothing, just dont let him leave you honey
Cause then youll find out that it wasnt those real big things you loved about him
It was the real small things, go on and laugh but its true
You know, things that youve seen a thousand times around the house
But never paid any attention to, like helping with the groceries
And helping in the yard and painting and repairing and huh, paying the bills
But you know now, all I have is memories and regrets
I could have given our love a chance to grow but no
I had to challenge it and be heard (oh), let me tell you something
That female liberation stuff, I dont know, sometimes I dont think its worth it
And Im really feeling, feeling kind of bad yaul, Im catching hell living here alone
Hmm, I never realized, oh lord, that you mean so much to me
Im catching hell living here alone, I want you to come back baby
Come back cause heres where you belong, oh yeah
If I could replay, if I could replay that whole scene again, oh well
You know that I would never, never say it again, that our love, our love is at its end
And oh, you know that I would kind of ease on back, yes I would
And let confusion pass on by, I took moves well, oh yeah
Without one good reason why, Im catching hell, catching hell
Lord Im living, living, living here alone, alone, lone, I didnt believe it could be
You know all the pressure on me, all the time, oh, Im catching hell, well, well
Living here alone, lone, lone, lone, lone, lone, lone, to tell you the truth
To tell you the truth Im going out of my mind---, yeah, oh do you hear me tonight
I dont have too (this is my story) much more to say except
Somebody (hey, this is my song) told me that if youve got something
Thats good to you and you dont use it (sad, sad) you might lose it (sad, song)
(song, so sad) so girls hold on to your good thing (oh), (you gotta hold on a little bit now)
And dont let go, oh---do you hear me tonight, its so sad living alone
Living alone (hmm), hold on to your good thing, hold on, (well, well) oh yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah---oh, oh, oh, lordy, lordy do you know what its like
Catching hell, (somebody turn up the microphone, oh---), oh, no, no, no, no, no, no

Living On A Frontline
Bad days are coming
Back into my head
Theyre looking for trouble, is that alright
You know youve seen them before
And now theyre turning
Into the deepest nights
Shadows on the wall - dont surrender at all
Youre not alone this time
Do or die - youll always be on the run
Like a soldier in time - rain or shine
Aces high - youd better be on the ball
Dont move outta the way - stand for what youve gotta say
Were living on a frontline
Always trying not to go
Were living on a frontline
Its much more than enough this time
Were living on a frontline
Now you start searching
For a better life
Better not look back - go straight ahead
Just be yourself all the time
Do or die - youll always be on the run
Like a soldier in time - rain or shine
Aces high - youd better be on the ball
Dont move outta the way - stand for what youve gotta say
Were living on a frontline
Always trying not to go
Were living on a frontline
Its much more than enough this time
Were living - living on a frontline
Always trying not to go
Were living on a frontline
Its much - its much too much this time
Go ahead this time
Ah, were living on a frontline
Ah, its a bad game
Ive told you before
So stay away from the frontline
And your friends next door
You say youre lonely
But I dont want them no more
But one day - youre gonna see
Theyre gonna disappear
Were living on a frontline
Always trying not to go
Were living on a frontline
Its much more than enough this time
Were living - living on the frontline
Always trying not to go
Were living on a frontline
Its much - its much too much this time
On a frontline

One World
This song was first released on the one world album. it is the only album it has been released on.
Dont want to live in new york city, man
Dont want to live in tokyo
I want to stay in my own village, man
Is nowhere else I need to go
Is nothing that I want for myself
That I dont want for everyone
To work in peace to live in freedom
To look and never see a gun
Why are you calling this the third world
I only know that it is my world
Maybe someday it can be our world
Can you imagine one world, one world
My heart it hurts more than my belly
So hard to live in poverty
I want to work for my own living, man
Dont want someone to care for me
Dont want to speak to revolution
It starts to sounding like a fight
I give myself to evolution
One world will make it be all right
Why are you calling this the third world
I only know that it is my world
Maybe someday it can be our world
Can you imagine one world, one world
This world is made for everybody
This life is gift for everyone
This earth is bound to keep on turning
This day is flowers in the sunshine, sunshine
Why are you calling this the third world
I only know that it is my world
Maybe someday it will be our world
Can you imagine someday one world, one world
Why are you calling this the third world
I only know that it is my world
Maybe someday it can be our world
Can you imagine one world, one world

Someday She Is Going To Hit Back
Woman dont like it - hurting her this way
Someday she is going to hit back
The woman dont like me in her own way
Someday she is going to hit back
Woman dont like it - treating her like this
Someday she is going to hit back
The woman she dont love the lonely
Someday she is going to hit back
Woman dont like it - begging on her knees
Someday she is going to hit back
Oh please, please, dont desert me
Someday she is going to hit back
Woman dont like it - treating her this way
Someday she is going to hit back
There is tenderness in the heart of the lonely
Someday she is going to hit back
(solo)
Someday she is going to hit back (4 times)
Woman dont like it (4 times)
Someday she is going to hit back (4 times)
She feels so lonely
Woman dont like it
She feels so blue
Woman dont like it
He has lost her now
Woman dont like it
Oh... woman, you knew what she could do
Woman dont like it
Woman dont like it - says it has to stop
Someday she is going to hit back
The woman she says she doesnt love me
Someday she is going to hit back
Woman dont like it - the woman dont say a lot
Someday she is going to hit back
With one last kiss she leaves him lonely
Someday she is going to hit back

Somewhere With DEVO (studio Version Demo)
Shout shout
I'm shoutin' about the world outside
I'm shoutin' because you just can't hide
I'm shoutin' from the plain honest truth
I'm shoutin' there's so much we could do
Shout i'm shoutin'
And when you put it all together
And when you roll it in a ball
And when you watch another pyramid
As it's about to fall
Remember you were there
Remember if you care
All those who held their ground
When it all came down
Said shout shout
Shout well baby this one's for you
Shout for everything that you do
Shout until the battle is won
Shout we'll live to fight on and on
Are you ready?
Are you ready for inspection?
He's ready to die!
There's a place for us
Somewhere a place for us
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us somewhere
There's a time for us
Somewhere a time for us
Time together and time to spend
Time to look time to care
Somewhere someday
We'll find a new way of living
We'll find a way of forgiving
Somewhere someday
There's a place for us
A time and place for us
Hold my hand and we're half-way there
Hold my hand and i'll take you there
Somehow someday somewhere
(the femmes devo)
I'm a disco dancer
But i've got no place to go
(i'm a disco boy i'm a disco boy)
I'm a disco dancer baby
But my feet won't touch the floor
(i'm a disco boy i'm a disco boy)
Oh no
I've been sleeping twenty years or more
I remember long time ago
(i'm a disco boy i'm a disco boy)
Nya nya nya nya
Now i'm back to change your mind
Now i'm moving right in time
In a world that's turned unkind
I see what's going on behind my back
I'm a disco dancer
And i keep dancin' on and on
(i'm a disco boy i'm a disco boy)
Oh no
I'm a disco dancer baby

One Never Knows, Does One?
Mack gordon / harry revel
One never knows, does one?
When love will come along
Then so suddenly life turns out to be a song
One never knows, does one?
The moment or the place
Then right before your eyes
Someone occupies your embrace
Someday look and youll find
Two hearts were blest
Someday fate may be kind
Pray for the future
Hope for the best
One never knows, does one?
Thats just the way it goes
All at once you hear
Hold me. caress me
And then love may come
But when, one never knows
