I Froze Up (live From Webcast)

I Froze Up Lyrics
You're the light wiping out my batteries
You're the cream in my airport-coffees
I don't know why I stick with you
If I had a choice
Like lambs into the slaughter
Like cows to the storm above
You're the Genie of my lamp
I could have in anyone
But one day I froze up
But one day I froze up
But one day I froze up
But one day I froze up
Like this...
Oh, little boy...
Little boy, little boy
Oh, little boy...
Little boy, little boy
If you try to strangle the skylark
Try to cut it up, to see how it works
Stalactites and stalagmites
Rows of never open doors
Coz one day I froze up
Coz one day I froze up
Coz one day I froze up
Coz one day I froze up
I did...

He Cried

I need you
Simple words
But words which had never been heard
By the soul
Stoned to death
But still living
And so he froze where he stood
And he looked to the ground
And he cried
He cried
Ride our minds
If you must
But theres always a line you dont cross
Time is short
Dont be cruel
Oh you dont know the power
In what youre saying
Oh ...
And so he froze where he stood
And he looked to the ground
And he cried
He cried
People where
I come from
They survive without feelings or blood
I never could
Was stoned to death
But Im still living
So he froze where he stood
And he looked to the ground
And he cried
He cried
So he froze
And he looked, and he looked
To the ground
And he cried
He cried

Climatic Sorcery

When frost's all on our winder, an' the snow's
All out-o'-doors, our 'Old-Kriss'-milkman goes
A-drivin' round, ist purt'-nigh froze to death,
With his old white mustache froze full o' breath.

But when it's summer an' all warm ag'in,
He comes a-whistlin' an' a-drivin in
Our alley, 'thout no coat on, ner ain't cold,
Ner his mustache ain't white, ner he ain't old.

Broken Windows

I kick stones, kick stones, kick stones through windows.
I kick stones, which somehow got home.
But i'm not proud, that i'm a broken window.
And i'm not proud, that i can't look through broken windows.
Froze in college, you said it was the wilderness
Froze in college, you said it was the wilderness of...
I kick stones, kick stones, kick stones through windows.
I've kicked stones which somehow got home.
But i'm not proud, that i'm a broken window.
And i'm not proud, that i can't look through broken windows.
Froze in college, you said it was the wilderness
Froze in college, you said it was the wilderness of... frustration.
frustration.
It was the wilderness of...
I kick stones, kick stones, kick stones through windows.
I kick stones which somehow got home.

Never Enough

Seems the world needs a change in its attitude
It doesnt seem like theres much that a man can do
They try to sell the earth on a wild crusade
Then complain about not bein paid
How can some people have the nerve, hell hasnt froze but its on the verge
Its gone way past the point of greed, how many lifetimes will we need
Chorus:
cause its never enough, they keep on takin till they take too much
cause its never enough, it wont be long until they run out of luck
Weve been bought and sold for a thousand years
And all I got to show is a six pack full of tears
And all the while the fat cats they watch from the hill<
Nothins changed, it never has an never will
You better strap on your sharpest spurs
For the ride of your life, cause its gonna hurt
You cant say you didnt ask for this
Its too late to find somebodys ass to kick
Chorus
(instrumental break)
Whos got the money and who gets the rent
By the time its all over, you aint got a cent, hey, hey
How can some people have the nerve, hell hasnt froze but its on the verge
Its gone way past the point of greed, how many lifetimes will we need
Chorus repeats 2x

Though he'd walked a long way,
But his toes were just froze to the marrow.

Christmas Present

Your eyes, now close
open the heart
I'll send my love,
Don't froze!
Love, do never fight
just..let it be..
..Recieve..
Then, filled
don't send it back
To others,
those in need
as little present
would you try to wrap
and share it, please?

The Rose Dies When It Melts

The rain -
It froze on it's journey.
The deep red rose sparkles like glass.

And my heart...
will never melt.

The sun appears.
The leaves cry.
The trees cry.

But my tears are frozen -
And the rose dies when it melts.

The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner

From my mother's sleep I fell into the State,
And I hunched in its belly till my wet fur froze.
Six miles from earth, loosed from its dream of life,
I woke to black flak and the nightmare fighters.
When I died they washed me out of the turret with a hose.

His Silence

He still wears the glass skin of childhood.
Under his hands, the stones turn mirrors.
His eyes are knives.

Who froze the ground to his feet?
Who locked his mouth into an horizon?
Why does the sun set when we touch?

I look for the lines between the silences.
He looks only for the silences.

Cram this page under his tongue.
Open him as if for surgery.
Let the red knife love slide in

A Lingering Kiss Of The Buttterfly

indulge the sweetness of droplet dew
like you hold the smooth poison of every
froze, making the lurking dawn the
chill of the winter fog

come the moisturizing cream, dropp a
little while you go, the night close may not
for neither you grow in the meadow of
Oasis green in the middle of the
desert wind

oh! dried in every palm, tell as you
what you know, for nothing left
of the petal pad than a joy of the teardrops
pour, into the breathless cool of the season
greeting of thirst

Pestilential Solemn

From a deep slumber, a forever rest; lies abreast from me a lowly being.
T'was the same like before who showed no signs of fleeing.
He looked at me with his eyes he glared,
he looked at me with his nostrils flared.
He reached within me and grabbed my soul,
disappearing now into a world of cold.
An ethereal place where nightmare lurks,
as I wonder alone being the berkes.
I stood there edgewise as a crow flew to me,
he showed no fear, from what I could see.
He spoke with a voice so soft and ease,
'Weary traveler, let your trouble seize.'
I am stricken with angst as time before me froze
'What is now to come, but one of many woes? '
The crow before me, glisten and glowed;
forming a mirror, myself it showed.
Upon his chest a darkened hole,
and in his right hand beating, his heart and soul.
He reached with his left, grabbing my arm from the mirror,
my eyesight blurred for a second now is clearer.
He dragged me in as the mirror liquefied,
leaving me alone on the other side.
My body it burned as I looked upon my breast,
my heart was gone, a blackened hole upon my chest;
a beating in my hand with my heart in chains,
agony overwhelms as insanity now reigns.
A ghost beside me, a face like mine;
he laughed and jest as I am benign.
Time still froze while I lay restless,
lost in this dream, nonetheless.

It's All Coming Back To Me Now

There were nights when the wind was so cold that my body froze in bed if I just listened to it right outside the window. There were days when the sun was so cruel that all the tears turned to dust and I just knew my eyes were drying up forever.

I finished crying in the instant that you left and I can't remember where or when or how and I banished every memory you and I had ever made.

But when you touch me like this and you hold me like that

Year That Trembled

YEAR that trembled and reel'd beneath me!
Your summer wind was warm enough--yet the air I breathed froze me;
A thick gloom fell through the sunshine and darken'd me;
Must I change my triumphant songs? said I to myself;
Must I indeed learn to chant the cold dirges of the baffled?
And sullen hymns of defeat?

To stop that goodbye

There is a girl in Cape Town
who at a time I met
and entranced
a bit later we wed

and only God does comprehend
what made us part
and brought every thing to a end
and froze her heart
with polar snow
and still I do not know,

for she could smile
like a angel
and it was like
the sun rising
and we had a glorious summer

and all of my tomorrows
and yesterdays
I would have lived with her

but youth and passion
had its own way
and there was nothing
that I could do or say
to stop that goodbye.

demons
make my heart
grow legs
and the shadows, tales
the chime of the clock
beat out
the spread of goosebumps
head to toe
froze takes new meaning
seeks shelter
in the heat

i keep the radio on
to chase away demons

Where You Laughed I Cried

Where you laughed I cried
Where you lived I died
What you confirmed I denied
And all the words merely froze
To utter no sound nothing to disclose
It was me against you
Facing the wall of ‘I-owe-you'
But was there anything more to give
Was there anything more to receive
An Act stood open unfinished
The drama of a king and queen banished
And a tired playwright
Putting his pencil down
Merely lost in paper night
All he left was this wretched poem crown
