The mind has greater power over the emotions, and is less subject thereto, insofar as it understands all things to be necessary.

The Haunter
He does not think that I haunt here nightly:
How shall I let him know
That whither his fancy sets him wandering
I, too, alertly go? -
Hover and hover a few feet from him
Just as I used to do,
But cannot answer his words addressed me -
Only listen thereto!
When I could answer he did not say them:
When I could let him know
How I would like to join in his journeys
Seldom he wished to go.
Now that he goes and wants me with him
More than he used to do,
Never he sees my faithful phantom
Though he speaks thereto.
Yes, I accompany him to places
Only dreamers know,
Where the shy hares show their faces,
Where the night rooks go;
Into old aisles where the past is all to him,
Close as his shade can do,
Always lacking the power to call to him,
Near as I reach thereto!
What a good haunter I am, O tell him,
Quickly make him know
If he but sigh since my loss befell him
Straight to his side I go.
And if it be that at night I am stronger,
Go, too, by day I do:
Please, then, keep him in gloom no longer,
Even ghosts tend thereto!

G*d Unnamed
So many are reluctant, in their speech,
to make referral to the name of God;
as if to speak thus is to overreach
what may by human mind be understood.
Yet is it not the given power of mind
to do this very thing, and boldly seek
always the greater picture, there to find
the greater causes, and of them to speak?
Our consciousness is greater than the Sun;
it shines beyond the shadows of the mind;
in universal thoughts that look to One
a richer life this greater love may find.
Thus unnamed unity may head our quest;
for Goodness, Truth and Beauty there still rest..

No one can speak well, unless he thoroughly understands his subject.
An Apology
To finish what's begun, was my intent,
My thoughts and my endeavours thereto bent;
Essays I many made but still gave out,
The more I mus'd, the more I was in doubt:
The subject large my mind and body weak,
With many moe discouragements did speak.
All thoughts of further progress laid aside,
Though oft perswaded, I as oft deny'd,
At length resolv'd, when many years had past,
To prosecute my story to the last;
And for the same, I hours not few did spend,
And weary lines (though lanke) I many pen'd:
But 'fore I could accomplish my desire,
My papers fell a prey to th'raging fire.
And thus my pains (with better things) I lost,
Which none had cause to wail, nor I to boast.
No more I'le do sith I have suffer'd wrack,
Although my Monarchies their legs do lack:
Nor matter is't this last, the world now sees,
Hath many Ages been upon his knees.

Painting dreams...
Gazing at an empty page,
Thoughts and emotions run wild.
A portrait of words come to life,
Like dreams of emotions dancing.
Images of us live on in written words,
Stirring my mind and emotions.
A world of dreams built within the mind,
Forever floating upon the emotions of fantasy...
Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Sonnet: Life
In life on earth, contrasting things happen;
The highest on earth will be soon tumbled;
The greatest on earth will be too humbled;
All can’t have success and all can’t captain.
The higher we fly, greater will be fall;
The greater the care we ought to take then;
We are all human and we are mere men;
Though feeling secure, we await the call.
Life is in achieving great things may be!
The balance of mind and peace, you will need;
No time can any man control the sea!
Nature is far greater, supreme indeed.
Every man ought to learn his limits first;
Man is driven by curiosity’s thirst.

I tend to arrive in the rehearsal process with very strongly developed ideas about what I want to do. But I don't like those ideas to be things that are not subject to change, or subject to development, or subject to challenge.

Power Of Good-bye (Dallas' Low End Mix)
Your heart is not open
so I must go
the spell has been broken
I loved you so
Freedom comes when you learn to let go
Creation comes when you learn to say no
Walk away
You were my lesson I had to learn
I was your fortress you had to burn
Pain is the the warning that somethings wrong
I pray to God that it wont be long
Walk away
there's nothing left to try
there's no place left to hide
there's no greater power
than the Power of Goodbye
Your heart is not open so I must go
the spell has been broken
I loved you so
You were my lesson
I had to learn
I was your fortress
There's nothing left to try
There's no place left to hide
There's no greater power than the power of goodbye
Learn to say goodbye
I yearn to say goodbye
There's nothing left to try
There's no more places to hide
There's no greater power than the power of goodbye
There's nothing left to lose
There's no place left to hide
There's no greater power than the power of goodbye

Sonnet XVII
THe glorious portraict of that Angels face,
Made to amaze weake mens confused skil:
and this worlds worthlesse glory to embase,
what pen, what pencill can expresse her fill?
For though he colours could deuize at will,
and eke his learned hand at pleasure guide:
least trembling it his wormanship should spill,
yet many wondrous things there are beside.
The sweet eye-glaunces, that like arrowes glide,
the charming smiles, that rob sence from the hart:
the louely pleasance and the lofty pride,
cannot expressed be by any art.
A greater craftesmans hand thereto doth neede,
that can expresse the life of things indeed.

Shocked
Written: stock aitken waterman
1a:
Tell me Im only dreaming and Ill believe you
Cant see how this could be true
Surrounded by feelings I hardly recognise
I look for explanations Im taken by surprise
If you told me yesterday that I could feel this way
I would sure enough call you a liar to your face
Chorus:
Because Im shocked by the power
(shocked) ooh
Shocked by the power of love
I was rocked to my very foundations
Shocked by the power, shocked by the power
2:
Maybe this time tomorrow
Ill discover this aint really real
cos it struck me like lightning
Like a bolt out of the blue
Emotions inside me, all over you
Im high above the universe, losing track of time
And falling free
I cant believe that you are really mine
Chorus:
Rap:
Shocked, like the lightning from up above
Down from the heavens and it gave me love
From a man who respects me
Loves my mind as well as my body
No retreat and no surrender
Equal to you regardless of gender
Giving me love that is warm and tender
Thats why I gotta tell ya
You and I are of the same mind
It seems to me that were one of a kind
Its true to say that when love is blind
But then true love is so hard to find
You respect me and the things I do
It was meant to be
I was made for you
Open the door to my heart, its stopped
And Im shocked....
Chorus:
3:
Surrounded by feelings I hardly recognise,
I look for explanations Im taken by surprise.
cos it struck me like lightning,
Like a bolt out of the blue,
Emotions inside me, all over you.
Chorus:
(repeat & fade)

Melodie’s Song to Razel
The illusion of control is what you tried to spin on me,
Trying to control my mind until I couldn’t see,
The difference between my own feelings and deeds,
I felt real helpless I couldn’t defend,
Myself to the veryend.
But now I have regained my power to feel my emotions with my own mind,
Now my emotions are mine to find,
Without being controlled by you to the end of time.

We have also arranged things so that almost no one understands science and technology. This is a prescription for disaster. We might get away with it for a while, but sooner or later this combustible mixture of ignorance and power is going to blow up in our faces.

My Future
My God has greater plans for me,
More than what I can imagine;
His ways, no one can comprehend,
Nor forecast or predict.
My God of love who safeguards me,
Will not abandon, nor forsake;
He guides my life miraculously;
Why should I worry then?
Though things don’t seem to favor me,
God knows the reasons for delay;
The Maker does things in His time;
Why should I doubt His ways?
All seasons end and must begin;
God give me patience and mind’s peace;
I know I’m meant for greater things;
My problems then will ease!

Power Of Love
Mama don't mind, 'cause your Mama don't know
But if your father finds out that we're all alone
He's gonna change your mind and rearrange my bones
But the power of love is like a tidal wave
It can pick you up and knock you on the floor
make you do the things you never done before
Don't imagine that you're free
There's no escaping from reality
You're under the spell, under the power of love
Turn the lights down low, lights down low
And the hi-fi high, hi-fi high
Put the lock on the door, pull the curtains to
Don't want the world to know I'm getting close to you
Well you never see it never see it
But you sure can feel it sure can feel it
And if you get the taste, you'll get the hunger pains
You'll be hooked for life, never be the same
Everybody's gonna see
There's no escaping from the mystery
You're under the spell, under the power of love
That's the power of love, the power of love
The power of love, the power of love
The power of love, the power of love
So you're sitting in a restaurant
And you feel so nonchalant
When the waiter says "what'll it be"
You start to speak, then suddenly
A pretty girl walks 'cross the floor
You ain't thinking 'bout food - no more
The power of love is like a tidal wave
It can pick you up and knock you on the floor
make you do the things you never done before
Don't imagine that you're free
There's no escaping from reality
You're under the spell, under the power of love
That's the power of love, the power of love
The power of love, the power of love
The power of love, the power of love
The power of love, the power of love
Power of love, the power of love, the power of love-acap

My Baby Understands
Whenever my baby loves me
whenever my baby needs me
and he often does
Well I'm attracted by desire ooh
cause he's the master of the fire
and he teases just to tease me
and he pleases just to please me
My baby understands
my baby understands
my baby understands
my baby understands
Whenever my baby loves me
love me like he should
whenever my baby leaves me
leaves me feeling good
he loves me
needs me
wants me
oh yes my baby does
Whenever my baby leaves me
whenever my baby goes away for a while
like he does
No I never need to worry ooh
cause my baby loves me only
Well I'm capture by desire
cause he's the master of the fire
my baby understands
my baby understands
my baby understands
Yes my baby understands

Emotions
i am feeling empty inside
maybe! it's because the feelings that i hide?
at times it's a feeling of loneliness
and at times, it's loves and desires hidden away.
but with all this i have to say.
i will never change the sensations
of feeling different emotions.
love, joy, sadness, bitterness, sorrow, anxieties, and stress.
but closeness is the one i love the best.
to be close and to be inspired, is my lifelong desire.
to have someone to hug you and to tell
you that everything is going to be alright.
and that someone is there, when you're down and out
that is what emotions is all about.
i found love and it was bursting to be free
a love, so deeply hidden inside of me.
i saw the love in someone elses eyes
feelings and emotions that they could not hide.
i felt their exhileration, and each and every sensation.
i felt the pains that a heart must go through
to bring all feelings closer to you.
the heart and the mind work hand in hand
but it is the soul that makes the plan.
(is it the mind that tells the heart what is love, what is pain.
what is sorrow? or is it the heart that tells the mind these things?)
the soul is the one that instills all these things into us
and this is what we have to trust.
emotions is lifes key
it could make you a slave, or set you free.

Greater Than We Understand
Summer rains keep coming down
It's about to swallow up this town
You get the feeling that there's trouble ahead
Folks say they've never seen
The river acting quite this mean
No one can stop it when it needs to be fed
Look at the river
The powerful river
Greater Than We Understand
Awesome in anger
Crazy with hunger
Dragging us under
[Chorus]
But you have the power
The power to heal us
Greater than we understand
Righteous in anger
Awesome with wonder
If we reach out for your hand
Yeah
To many years since the lava flow
This old mountain's about to blow
Covering anything that gets in its way
Not a lot that you can say or do
When the mountain wants to roll over you
But gather up the ones you love and start to pray
Look at the mountain
The powerful mountain
Greater than we understand
Awesome in anger
Crazy with hunger
Dragging us under
[Chorus]
Yeah x3
But you have the power
The power to heal us
Greater than we understand
Righteous in anger
Awesome with wonder
Greater than we understand
Yeah
As far as you or I can see
Hard times there will always be
Thank God for answers to the trouble ahead
