Balloon

I'm a little balloon and I get puffed up
squeeze me and bend me it's never enough
Put your lips around me, blow me up
but if you prick me I will pop
I'm a little balloon full and firm
here is my aft and here is my stern
Here's my lips and here's my hose
put me down or I will burst
If you prick me I will burst

Lead Balloon

Kiss my ass! I said
And I threw my drink
Tequila trickling
Down his business suit
Must be the irish blood
Fight before you think
Turn it now
You cant cowtow
You cant undo it
Its his town
And that went down
Like a lead balloon
Lead lead lead lead balloon
He said sic her, rover
That went over
Like a lead balloon
Lead lead lead lead balloon
Lead balloon
An angry man is just an angry man
But an angry woman
Bitch!
I had to ask him for a helping hand
It came with the heart
Of a bonaparte
Of a frozen fish
Its his town
And that went down
Like a lead balloon
Lead lead lead lead balloon
He said sic her, rover
That went over
Like a lead balloon
Lead lead lead lead balloon
Lead balloon
Lead balloon, lead lead lead lead balloon
Lead balloon, lead lead lead lead balloon

A Balloon For You All

I want to give you, my dear friends,
A balloon of your choice and colour
So that you will play with it
Your sweet face blooming like a rose.

But you are overgrown
Overgrown like never before!
Some are like Goliaths and some resemble the unknown men from Kob.
Some look like overgrown convent girls and a few are like the Amazons.

I want to sell my balloons at any cost
For my balloons are about to burst any moment.
Once you begin to play with them
I am relieved a lot; who cares for your tears?

I tell a man with salt and pepper on head,
`Buy one balloon and play with it for a while`.
He laughs at me and chases a young girl.
My balloons begin to burst.

I whisper into the ears of a woman selling woes,
` A balloon for your happiness to return, please`
She looks into my basket of colours and throws back a sob.
My balloons begin to shrink.

As I walk along the beach of sand dunes,
The waves of my realisation recede to the depths.
My balloons burst within their little vacuums
As my heart longs for being one among them.

Float

Take a deepth breath and let it go.
Let the built up emotions pop like a balloon.

Blow up a new balloon filled with happiness and laughter.
For that balloon will float up in the sky.

Allowing you to be with the stars and shine brightly.

Balloon Of Whims

The balloon floats to the ceiling
the balloon bounces to the ground-
You are stuck in the middle
your emotions stir all around.
You can't run- you can't hide
from your feelings buried deep inside.
You just have to feel them through
even if they make you feel blue.
Then let them go up in the air
inside the balloon without a care.
This balloon of emotions has no whims
it will go anywhere it sees fit.
Miles up high balloon will fly
balloon cleansed of pain when you cried.

Last Chance

Well you take it all for granted,
So it should come as no surprise,
That your big balloon is gonna burst,
Right before your eyes.
Well you always call your mama,
Just for sympathy yeah,
But I tried to show you years ago,
So dont come crying to me.
Now its your last chance the night is over,
Last chance for love,
Well you can blame it on the bosanova,
You cant blame me when Im gone.
Well you call me up for favours,
You say that its my turn,
Well I think Ill stand on my hard earned drive,
And watch your bridges burn.
Well I saw my guardian angel,
He said I can refuse,
Well Id take the chance but its hard to dance,
With size 8 concrete shoes.<
Well you take it all for granted,
So it should come as no surprise,
That your big balloon is gonna burst,
Right before your eyes.

Hot Air Balloon

I saw a hot air balloon flying over my house:
Most of the time, it was as quiet as a mouse,
But, every so often, its burners suddenly roared,
And higher, up into the sky, it suddenly soared.

My excitement, I found hard to keep at bay,
As, a hot air balloon, you don't see every day.
A passenger balloon floating through the air,
For me, is so special, as the sight is so rare.

The sight of the balloon, filled me with delight,
And I stood watching it, until it flew out of sight.
My eyes were stuck to the balloon, just like glue,
As it floated across a sky of cornflower blue.

I wonder what it's like to float through the sky,
Watching the world down below gliding on by.
I've always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon:
I hope I will one day, and I hope that it's soon.

How much we inflate?

A child is born, carrying over gene
Love surrounds him with its arms
Child wants to reach every corner
Up in the air, flies a Balloon
Child cries to get one for its own
Carries it with delight, runs around.

Grows to be a mesmerized Teen
Love grips him at his belly
Lover just wants to meet a partner
Spends money, buys a Balloon
Puffs a lot, Fills it, just to be blown
Balloon has to fly; lover has to be on the ground.

Another gap of years passes on
Love becomes a quest in mind
Restless Lover looks for a mentor
Collects the pieces of burst Balloon
Sarcastic laugh emerges from frown
Mockery, Mystery and History surround

Middle age, inner vibration cools down
Bow set Love penetrates the heart
Pain, when balanced, kills the predator
Emancipated soul looks at the Balloon
Smirk with acumen, not to mourn
To love from within becomes the bond

Silver lines twinkle thereafter
Love heals the whole self
Insight resonates unto the creator
Tied at one end, flies the Balloon
Hilarity reaches the top to crown
Learn to Inflate, in its scope, not beyond.

The balloon in the tree

There high up in the tree
was a bright Red balloon
how did it get there I mused?
Was it put there by a little boy
or did the wind pluck it from his hand?
it was stuck firm on a branch now.
When I came by the tree the next day
I looked up and it was still there
and it wasn't the only balloon
there was a blue one and a yellow one?
The following day the tree was covered in them
all different colours and sizes and shapes
the wind and rain couldn't pop them dead.
Every day more balloons were there in the tree
all different colours, shapes, and sizes,
the wind and rain wouldn't hit them at all.
I was the only person who knew of the tree
it became invisible to anybody else
the balloon tree was there just for me.
When a balloon died another took it's place
so the tree was always covered in balloons
throughout the years it stood proud and strong.
You may say I'm making this up or I'm mad
and there's no such thing as a balloon tree
but I know it's true so that's all that matters.

This is for Chloe, Holly, Katie, and Oliver.

Carefree

You don’t hear the word
much these days.

It floated into the mind
this morning in the middle
of a fit of glooms

call it grace if
you believe in grace

carefree
it comes without strings
like an escaping balloon
a blue balloon or
a thinks balloon

no documents to sign
no commitment
no promises, no-one to
forgive, not even
myself, not
even a solemn declaration
about giving up all other

all a bit easy, no wonder
it’s out of fashion

well you know what they
say, yesterday’s naff is
tomorrow’s edgy retro

so what
today I’m carefree

my blue balloon, you can
hardly see it against the
blue sky, looks as if
it wants to join it up there

wanna hold my balloon
before we let it go?

The Last Balloon

The last balloon is leaving, the last balloon from fear
The last balloon is leaving, form that line right here
Climb aboard, climb aboard you menfolk
You wont need any bombs or knives
Climb aboard, climb aboard you menfolk
Leave all that to your former lives
Drop it all
The last balloon is leaving, the last balloon of all
The last balloon is leaving, undress, discard, let fall
Climb aboard, climb aboard you women
You wont need any gems or furs
Climb aboard, climb aboard you women
Leave all that to the bad old years
Drop it all
The last balloon is leaving, the last balloon theyll fly
The last balloon is leaving and we wont qualify
Climb aboard, climb aboard you children
Move aloft, while youre fleet and fast
Climb aboard, climb aboard you children
Were weighed down by our evil past
Drop us all, you should drop us all
Drop us all and free your hand
Drop us all, you should drop us all
Drop us all like so much sand

The Partys Over

-introduced by judy holliday in her last film bells are ringing (1956), also starring
-dean martin and jean stapleton -charted by doris day at # 63 in 1957
The partys over
Its time to call it a day
Theyve burst your pretty balloon
And taken the moon away
Its time to wind up the masquerade
Just make your mind up the piper must be paid
The partys over
The candles flicker and dim
You danced and dreamed through the night
It seemed to be right just being with him
Now you must wake up, all dreams must end
Take off your makeup, the partys over
Its all over, my friend

The partys over

Its time to call it a day

Now you must wake up, all dreams must end
Take off your makeup, the partys over
Its all over, my friend
Its all over, my friend

Loony Balloon

The worlds spinning round like a looney balloon
Heading for a collision with saturn and mars
And were narrowly missing the man in the moon,
Spinning out of control crashing into the stars.
Have we all lost our gravity, reason and sanity?
Is this the price that we pay?
Have we now lost our way on this looney balloon?
Drift away, just drift away.
Its so easy to just drift away.
Drift away, just drift away.
Drifting away on this looney balloon.
The air is running out, the computers gone down.
The mechanic just panicked, hes nowhere to be found.
So automatic control is just spinning us round
No point screaming in space, you just cant hear a sound.
Now the pilots gone mad, he just jumped overboard
With a lunatic smile on his face
And he laughed as he cut the umbilical chord
Now hes drifting forever in space.
Drift away, just drift away.
Its so easy to just drift away.
Drift away, just drift away
Drifting away on this looney balloon.
Were out of control on this looney balloon
Narrowly missing the planets and stars.
Even optimists say that its all gloom and doom.
Weve got to get somewhere or hit something soon.
First class and economy, we all played the game
For selfish profit and gain.
So together well all go insane on this looney balloon.
Drift away, hey, just drift away,
Drifting away on this looney balloon.
Drift away, hey, just drift away.
Drifting away on this looney balloon.
Drift away, hey,
Drift away. drift away.

My life is like a hell

My life is like a hell
And poverty is its heartless guard
I keep on asking myself,
Is it because of a curse?

The days I have left behind
I don't want it back
The days that are ahead
Make me more worried!

I have got a life full of love to give
But there's no one to take it
So my heart seems to burst
Like a balloon with too much air!

God knows what's wrong with me
My efforts bear no fruit
As if I am drowning in quicksand
And there's no one to help!

An Awakening For Air..

a time comes
for an awakening

you look at yourself
as a stranger

you begin to dislike
what you have been drinking

or eating, you have starved
yet you do not want to eat anything

you float like a hot air balloon
you rise up to a sky

you burst and then you fall
without feeling anything

you awaken to the idea
that you have turned into air

that you belong to everyone
and yet you have no one.

That Big Yellow Balloon

'Mommy, I want that big yellow balloon, '
The baby boy cried.
Mommy walked the mall replying,
'I only see a red balloon.'

So the Mommy did drive,
And the baby it cried,
Then they reached a new store.
But the baby wanted that big yellow balloon,
The store did not have.

'Maaaaaaaam, I want that big yellow balloon, '
The baby yelled with his wavy shaped mouth.
The Mommy saw some red, white and blue balloon,
Driving by a July the Fourth party.

Now the baby bellowed louder,
Pounding his fists on the floor,
Saying, 'see Mom, all big yellow balloons are gone Mom.
Why did you wait so long?

Perplexed Mom asked the crying son,
What he meant by that,
Especially, when she had done,
All she could have done.

The baby proclaimed, 'now the big yellow balloon,
Has turned into a big orange balloon! ! ! '
He sobbed, 'you made it too late in the day Mom.'

Now Mommy asked, 'was that the biggest sunshiniest,
Balloon in the tall sky, that hung around all day long? '
'And you didn't get it for me, whaaaaaaawww.....,
The baby expressed himself.

The next day bought another appeal from the baby,
This time as he rode with the pilots of 'Sun Shines Airways.'
The cockpit shown his big yellow balloon, steady in front of him.
The pilots bought him the longest wads and wads of string.

This baby stuck the string to the cockpit window,
Where the sun was the biggest and yellowest.
And as the plane descended,
That string grew longer and longer.

The baby knew he know owned,
The biggest and 'yellowest' balloon,
As his grip grew stronger and stronger.
This baby's hand held it longer and longer,

His biggest yellow balloon,
Filled with helium.

Lollipop And Balloon Are Free

a lollipop a day keeps
the balloon fly away
a child
play makes the whole day
happy, where in the table
a lollipop is free
balloon
makes it easy to
taste the sweet honey the
lollipop that puff
in
the day i got free, the
lollipop flew it away, i
ask why, should i fly
when i chew, the
lollipop in me
yah!
make the best that it
could be, everything will be
fine, take the balloon and
let the air flew it away
make
yourself busy, like
a child that puff like candy
and fly up, up in the sky
where every balloon is
free.....

Framing The Sun

with your hands
you frame the sun
you stare at it
you know what
happens next

too much light
too small a grasp
too much sun
too small a mind

do you remember
how the balloon
burst? i shiver
to the sound of
your explosion

there are shatters
of memories
left on the ground
but not calling for help
