Born In Prison

Were born in a prison
Raised in a prison
Sent to a prison called school
We cry in a prison
We love in a prison
We dream in a prison like fools
Wood becomes a flute when its loved
Reach for yourself and your battered mates
Mirror becomes a razor when its broken
Look in the mirror and see your shattered fate
We live with no reason
Kicked around for no reason
Thrown out without reason like tools
We work in a prison
And hate in a prison
And die in a prison as a rule
Wood becomes a flute when its loved
Reach for yourself and your battered mates
Mirror becomes a razor when its broken
Look in the mirror and see your shattered fate
We live in a prison
Among judges and wardens
And wait for no reason for you
We laugh in a prison
Go through all four seasons
And die with no vision of truth
Wood becomes a flute when its loved
Reach for yourself and your battered mates
Mirror becomes a razor when its broken
Look in the mirror and see your shattered fate

Were born in a prison, raised in a prison,
Sent to a prison called school.
We cry in a prison, we love in a prison,
We dream in a prison like fools.

Reach for yourself and your battered mates.
Mirror becomes a razor when its broken,

Locked Inside Your Prison

Your love is like a prison wall
And its getting higher
I get so far and then I fall
I cant get through the wire
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Its as though Im doing time
And you wont free me
Let the punishment befit the crime
And say you need me
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Save me save me cant you see Im innocent
Turn the key that will set me free
Please let it end oh let it end
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Save me save me cant you see Im innocent
Turn the key that will set me free
Please let it end wont you let it end
Ill dig a tunnel to your heart
Let me remind you
Even gonna tear the walls apart
Until I find you
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison

The parrot

Cage in like in a prison
it walks up and down
and looks at itself in the mirror
and it gets food and water
and the days pass
and water and food it gets
and in its prison it has to stay
and it remembers the green woods
and the odours of bananas
and berries and nuts
and the blue sky
that is open and free
and streams
where the most delicious water flows.

It calls to its mate
and ask for salvation
and nobody and nothing comes
and out of the humdrum
it starts to imitate sounds
and its people
take it out of its cage
and scratches its head
and cuts its wings
and bring delicacies,
but back to its prison
it must go en its serve it sentence
until it dies.

I Shattered the Mirror

I kicked the mirror with my boot,
Then I finally saw how different I looked.
I loved looking at me.

So I kicked the mirror again,
I looked ever more different,
Just the way I wanted to look.

This time, I kicked the mirror,
Till it made sounds of sharp shattering.
I looked gorgeous now in front of this mirror.P

I wanted to be shattered again!
Post shattering, I screamed hooray,
For my shattered look became me and I smiled.

The reason I shattererd this mirror,
Was that this mirror was my own self-image,
This mirror showed me bad,
So the self-improvement,
Was a happy thing not sad.

Oh Mirror

Mirror, mirror,
On the wall
Who's the THINNIST
One of all

Oh reflection,
I know its not me
I'm just too FAT

AND UGLY

Mirror, mirror,
On the wall
Who's the SKINNIEST
One of all

Oh reflection,
Stand up straight
Suck in your GUT
Then I may not hate

Mirror, mirror,
Clear and bright
Please don't WATCH
As I starve tonight

Oh reflection,
I'm stuck in this body
With food to fear
And you to HATE

Mirror, mirror,
Broken and shattered
Don't stare at ME
With this body battered.

Uncle John

Years ago you climbed the mango tree
On an alibi to see both of them

They talked in the sala of your house
And went inside your room
After they kissed
You did not wait for reason
Before they
Can undress
You shot him dead
You spared her
Your wife because you loved her

15 years in prison
You were released to find yourself

In this bigger prison
Without love

All that you can find in her
And her children are barbed wires

Uncle John, tell me
Which do you prefer now?

No Exit

Journeying from the beginning
(of which there is no beginning) ,
travelling for millions of years
(which cannot be measured in millions or years) ,
I have come,
and go on.
No stopping.
Just the onward movement
into the illimitable.
For ever.

No need to blame the wicked,
their shadows are at their heels.
No need to fear for the good,
haloes of light enclose them in splendour.
No need to talk of escape.
Escape from this prison
is a doorway into the prison yard
and back again.

This prison is moving
and all-encompassing.
There is nothing outside it
to be escaped into.
There is no escape from.
There is only stopping.
Where there is stopping, how can there be movement?
If there is no movement, how could there be a prison?

Beauty's a Prison

Beauty’s a prison when love is gone
No matter which way you turn
Forget the freedom you once won

The window landscape’s no more fun
The TV still goes on to burn
Beauty’s a prison when love is gone

Time for bitter tears to run
You chill a glass of bitter spurn
Forget the freedom you once won

The sights have faded, the day is done
You go to bed to toss and turn
Beauty is a prison when love is gone

Beauty is a prison when love is gone
Forget the freedom you once won

Two prisons

The world, I say, is a prison,
Where men and women,
Are kept to serve its jailor,
After completing their term,
They will be sent one by one
To another prison.

A Raper

a rapers friend does not
know if he's shallow
or if he's bold
does any one know
that he could die in prison or get hung
for that little girl's life he took
with no sorrow in his heart
the raper does what he did
to go to prison was
his own fate his fate
is in his hands and not in that little girls
sorrow in that little girls eyes
how does she feel now shes free to haunt
the raper for all eternity thank you
