To try to raise a son from inside the prison walls is a very difficult thing. But I want to say to the world my son at 16 was the one who tried the most to get me out of prison.

Locked Inside Your Prison
Your love is like a prison wall
And its getting higher
I get so far and then I fall
I cant get through the wire
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Its as though Im doing time
And you wont free me
Let the punishment befit the crime
And say you need me
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Save me save me cant you see Im innocent
Turn the key that will set me free
Please let it end oh let it end
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Save me save me cant you see Im innocent
Turn the key that will set me free
Please let it end wont you let it end
Ill dig a tunnel to your heart
Let me remind you
Even gonna tear the walls apart
Until I find you
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison
Oh oh oh Im locked inside your prison

Born In A Prison
Were born in a prison, raised in a prison,
Sent to a prison called school.
We cry in a prison, we love in a prison,
We dream in a prison like fools.
Wood becomes a flute when its loved,
Reach for yourself and your battered mates.
Mirror becomes a razor when its broken,
Look in the mirror and see your shattered fate.
We live with no reason, kicked round for no reason,
Thrown out without reason like tools.
We work in a prison and hate in a prison,
And die in a prison as a rule.
Wood becomes a flute when its loved,
Reach for yourself and your battered mates.
Mirror becomes a razor when its broken,
Look in the mirror and see your shattered fate.
We live in a prison mong judges and wardens
And wait for no reason for you.
We laugh in a prison, go through all four seasons,
And die with no vision of truth.
Wood becomes a flute when its loved,
Reach for yourself and your battered mates.
Mirror becomes a razor when its broken,
Look in the mirror and see your shattered fate.

Stone Walls
Written by - Jim Croce
It's been too many years inside this prison
Too many years just for one little fight
He got what was comin'
And I think I served enough time
I'm goin' home tonight
That stone looks mighty cold
And the guard that walks that wall
Is just waitin' to get a convict in his sights
But if I can clear the top
You can bet I'll never stop
Cause I'm goin' home tonight
Chorus:
Because stone walls do a prison
Make iron bars a cage
Any man who says they don't
Never been inside
Cause in time the bars get closer
And at night the walls grow tighter
Do you feel like there's a shackle around your mind?
Now those guards are on my tail
I can hear those sirens wail
But I know that I'll get away and that I'll be alright
Cause I'd rather live on the run
Stand free in the morning sun
Then to spend another lonely prison night
Chorus

Roses Growing In Our Own Prison Walls
this is the situation,
soon you will find
you live in prison walls,
and those who see you
tell you
you have no God.
perhaps they say that
since they see no
icons on our walls
we bow not
to sunsets
we make no wooden
crosses
oh, let us tell them
we've grown roses in our prison walls
on the fertile grounds
of our heart
we speak to God
in our poetry
with all the silence and
gentleness
and patience of the
snail
we have gone beyond
wood, and stone,
and images,
we have passed through
all these walls
man-made as they are,
we have jumped over the
fences of
the flesh, and they who use
their eyes
in the middle of their own
human light
do not see
we, have, only,
hearts.
we, are, pure,
hearts.
we, are, love,
solitude,
in privacy with
our God.

There are many more serial killers living outside the prison walls than inside.
Two prisons
The world, I say, is a prison,
Where men and women,
Are kept to serve its jailor,
After completing their term,
They will be sent one by one
To another prison.

Sometimes 2
Sometimes walls are comforting and secure
while other walls seem like a prison make.
Sometimes places hold a comfort zone
while others hold an alien atmosphere.
Sometimes we feel not wanted
while other times we feel like home.
Sometimes we feel trapped by circumstance
and all the time we want to be free.
Sometimes a break is not a break
but just our prison walls make.
It is then we wish we were far away
in the comfort of our home.

A Prison of Solitude
A prison of solitude
To which I am thrown
The empty walls and rooms
The soundless corridors
The drawn-out night
What madness grows here
That no other does see
How lonely I find
The sleepless bed
The loveless air
The void of conversation
The dying romance of the candle
This isolation
This so complete nothingness
I am kept at distance
From a world I do not know
In this place of madness
A prison of solitude
To which I have been thrown

My University Degree
Sent to the prison, sending is a gift,
Like childhood and youth in a fit of glory;
My loves of this world are numberless,
Never does the ground grow beautifully.
May prison be admirable to the lame,
Love of this world is always alone,
Living gains enemies of the shredded earth,
To live you must acquire an university.
Inside you destroy the tremendous knowledge,
Gather a force of health and whole wisdom,
The wielding of the axe of education stings
Your arms and legs as you crawl through.

Coastline
Written by gerry beckley, 1980
Found on alibi.
I drive to the coastline
Looking for visual pleasures to catch my eye
The sun turns around hits me on the shoulder
I fly away
Due to the situation this morning
All in the worlds ok
I head down sunset north to santa barbara
We sail away
I could live in the walls of a prison
Where the warm summer winds would never blow
Then again, think of what Id be missing (as to the other side)
And how some do it Ill never know, Ill never know
I must have spent a lifetime as a sailor
Sailin the ocean blue
But every single waterway leads to you
To you
I could live in the walls of a prison
Where the warm summer winds would never blow
Then again, think of what Id be missing (as to the other side)
And how some do it Ill never know, Ill never know
Im headin out over an ocean of blue
The trailin wake far behind
Wont turn me down
And it wont turn me around
I could live in the walls of a prison
Where the warm summer winds would never blow
Then again, think of what Id be missing (as to the other side)
And how some do it Ill never know, Ill never know

Free
I saw you all lined up
at the totem pole
hovering
You
waved at me-
waved me away-
ignoring the Tsunami
washing over me
Ho Ho Ho
is what they called me
and I never unsaid
what I knew
wasn't true
and I let it lie.
Oh, Oh, Oh
I live within
the word prison
they created for me
and out of spite
and self-defense
I defy the prison
walls
and write this poetry.
My My My
that's sweet revenge;
I'll live
I'll live
writing more
poetry
and then
one day
the rubble
will
disintegrate
disintegrat e
into walls
no more.
And I'll be free
free, free, free.
Ho, Ho, Ho.

The prison accustomed
I came out of prison
After twelve year term
To find the world a prison.
The hell accustomed
Is preferred to the heaven
Yet to be accustomed.

Walls Of Red Wing
Oh, the age of the inmates
I remember quite freely:
No younger than twelve,
No older n seventeen.
Thrown in like bandits
And cast off like criminals,
Inside the walls,
The walls of red wing.
From the dirty old mess hall
You march to the brick wall,
Too weary to talk
And too tired to sing.
Oh, its all afternoon
You remember your home town,
Inside the walls,
The walls of red wing.
Oh, the gates are cast iron
And the walls are barbed wire.
Stay far from the fence
With the lectricity sting.
And its keep down your head
And stay in your number,
Inside the walls,
The walls of red wing.
Oh, its fare thee well
To the deep hollow dungeon,
Farewell to the boardwalk
That takes you to the screen.
And farewell to the minutes
They threaten you with it,
Inside the walls,
The walls of red wing.
Its many a guard
That stands around smilin,
Holdin his club
Like he was a king.
Hopin to get you
Behind a wood pilin,
Inside the walls,
The walls of red wing.
The night aimed shadows
Through the crossbar windows,
And the wind punched hard
To make the wall-siding sing.
Its many a night I pretended to be a-sleepin,
Inside the walls,
The walls of red wing.
As the rain rattled heavy
On the bunk-house shingles,
And the sounds in the night,
They made my ears ring.
til the keys of the guards
Clicked the tune of the morning,
Inside the walls,
The walls of red wing.
Oh, some of usll end up
In st. cloud prison,
And some of usll wind up
To be lawyers and things,
And some of usll stand up
To meet you on your crossroads,
From inside the walls,
The walls of red wing.

Incarceration Cause And Effect
bad choices usually
have bad outcomes
cause and event
crime and time
everyone is innocent in prison
is the perpetual not guilty plea
blame it on de man who taught
blame it on de man who fought
blame it on de fool who wanted to be cool
blame it on de location of a bar room stole
blame it on de hard drug pushed or alcohol
blame it on de police sting or sell out mole
prison incarceration in punitive prison
result of poor self choice made decision
locked inside can result in fatal incision
from this education few great have arisen

The mall turned prison
Man is building a great mall
With walls of territorial,
With walls of racial,
With walls of religions
And with that of linguistic
To ensure safety for himself
But found it turning a prison.

Jita
Oh my sweet Jita!
Think of your four years in prison then,
Then you will still learn more about life.
Think of the problems around youtoday and,
Of your expereinces in the prison;
For we are all in chains in this world! !
But the wind blows to where it will and
No one knows where the wind comes from.
