Channel 7 and Channel 8-
Just old movies, not so great.

In Russia we only had two TV channels. Channel One was propaganda. Channel Two consisted of a KGB officer telling you: Turn back at once to Channel One.

I Am Channeling Poe
Once upon a midnight dreary
'I've heard that before.'
I am channeling Poe.
'You don't have to channel po' no 'mo.
I think you have been very successful.
I make a suggestion you channel some dough,
So you can pay me back the money you owe.'
You have no sympathy for artists at all,
Do you?
'Why should I have sympathy,
For somebody channeling po'?
Do you know how many people
Right outside that door,
That have painted that picture too long.
Now...
IF you can channel up some fish and grits,
I'll give you all the sympathy you want.'
Are you here to bug me or what?
'You go right ahead.
Channel up all the 'po' you want.
I aint into it.
I know a few folks,
Who are not painting those kinds of pictures.
You told me earlier
You were home alone writing! '

Saturday Mornings
Wake it up it's 7a.m and ya know
get the milk fill the bowl with cereal
get the remote and turn on the television
first channel I see is channel 11
watching my cartoons early in the morning
it might look wack but this is not boring
I mean watching some Yu-Gi-Oh at channel 5
wash my face to feel more alive
take a shower after my show
getting fresh, out the house and off to SoHo.

Swimmer
I have to pass thi channel by swimming
And you to accord mark
whether and how far I have
Completed within the stipulated
Time within the prescribed line.
I have to pass this channel
With a sportsman spirit
That I have it.

In the greatest confusion there is still an open channel to the soul. It may be difficult to find because by midlife it is overgrown, and some of the wildest thickets that surround it grow out of what we describe as our education. But the channel is always there, and it is our business to keep it open, to have access to the deepest part of ourselves.

No News Is Good News
All alone we follow blindly
Force fed primetime
Previewed nightly
Why should anybody
Leave the safety of their homes
I wonder why
Only disasters flood the headlines
Other peoples miser are on
For the next three hours
Commercial free
And I cant take much more of this
We're all so wrapped up in it
Nothing will change
But the channel
So I turn it off
I see billboards on the horizon
I can imagine what they'll tell me
What to wear
What to drink
Where to eat
Its so easy not to think for yourself any more
So naive
You dont do anything anymore
And I cant take much more of this
We're all so wrapped up in it
Nothing will change
But the channel
We all give in
We all complain
We sit and wait for things to change
We're waiting
All along we follow blindly x 2
And i cant take much more of this
We're all so wrapped up in it
Nothing will change
But the channel x 2
So i turn it off

Television
Before that sacred holy flickering tv-screen
You're served commercials day-time fakes and tv-priests
You keep your VCR running almost constantly
Afraid to miss out on something happening on channel three
You zap from channel one to two look what they have done to you
You live from staged realities and fakes
Channel three then four and five you double check your tv-guide
Re-enacted lives to keep you awake
Life is served
Here every taste will find our satisfaction guarantee
On the never sleeping flickering screen
You keep watching this truly weird masquarade
The flickering screen enchants you your truly all enslaved
Nostalgia sports and comedies, cops cartoons and tragedies
Remote control at hand you sit enslaved
Washing powder and apple pies re-runs soaps and Jesus Christ
Anytime is time to zap the world away
Life is served...
We're your tellyvisions
You zap from channel one to two...
Nostalgia sports and comedies...
Life is served...

Channel Swimmer
Well it's cold down here in the water
It's cold down here in the sea
Who'd be a channel swimmer?
Only a fool like me
I've greased my body
and I'm heading over the ocean
These two arms are the only locomotion
I need
See me swim and see me float
I don't need no motorboat
or a yacht to get me there
I'll do the breaststroke
and the backstroke
I'll do anything
I'll be swimming when you're all asleep
I'll be swimming when you're all awake
I'll do the sidestroke
the other sidestroke
I'll do the butterfly
But I ain't gonna crawl
on back to you, no way
I see your face in every breaker
I see your smile across the reef
I came across the sea to take you
Don't make me out to be a thief
You'll be dreaming when you're all asleep
But I'll be drowning when you're all awake
I did the breaststroke
I did my best stroke
I did everything
But I ain't good enough
'Cause it's cold down here in the water
It's cold down here in the sea
Who'd be a channel swimmer?
Only a fool like me
Who'd be a channel swimmer?
Only a fool like me...
would forget he can't swim

Pasinga
English Channel,
Like red wine served in a plastice bottle;
But, how should i have known your muse?
Kingston upon Hull,
Bristol Channel;
But do watch the world around you and learn from it,
Because, the headmaster is now with a cane in his hand! !
The muse of the grasshopper!
With gentleness to ease your pain;
And like the cooking oil and salt at your kitchen,
But, how should i have known your muse?
Beamed to the innocent,
Ready by all for all! !
And like the beauty of Pasinga in the land of many Islands;
But, travelling on lottery was what your muse brought to me.

Funnel's hole
channel every entrance, push to the limit
and burst without hesitation all has to be
intact before the time of reckoning
shall we stop for everything and prepared
for nothing for if we begin the end is the
beginning of every start, and certainly the one
who displayed first will start the end
let no man stumble with me and let each
imperfection stand without me, is the word
is enough to show you the way, for as soon
as the race begin every beginning has to
obey to the rule
the hole is small but the funnel is huge
enough to fit, have anyone bring a stock
for the race is long and dusty; not everybody
enjoy the prize but each one is contested
one has to run to win and everyone wish to
get the tail, the channel is good and the way
is puzzling, be alert to make a win
the game is over, please let yourself be
summoned...

To A River In Which A Child Was Drowned
Smiling river, smiling river,
On thy bosom sun-beams play;
Though they're fleeting, and retreating,
Thou hast more deceit than they.
In thy channel, in thy channel,
Choak'd with ooze and grav'lly stones,
Deep immersed, and unhearsed,
Lies young Edward's corse: his bones
Ever whitening, ever whitening,
As thy waves against them dash;
What thy torrent, in the current,
Swallow'd, now it helps to wash.
As if senseless, as if senseless
Things had feeling in this case;
What so blindly, and unkindly,
It destroy'd, it now does grace.

In the TV channel every night
In the morning he still sleep
When I departed for work
And his granddaughter departed for campus
When evening we the struggle channel
The grandfather liked to watch a football
His granddaughter liked to watch sinetron
While I liked the broadcast that funny-things
I have been tired worked
Was not again that attract attention in the TV agenda
Apart from laughing to release nerves that strict
Now the grandfather of temples sleeps

Gone Is Inspiration
A thought!
A blurry thought in my head
and my pen is full of ink
I am dry,
I am sore
I can't channel my soul
before the words of my heart
would seep right through my
fingers
and possess my pen
but now I am blank
I am dry,
I am empty again
I hate the times when
my mind is still
and still I cannot channel
the artistry in me
the flame of inspiration
has died out
I am cold
I am stuck
my brain is paused
why is this so?
Pages beg
to be written on
keys plead for me to type
stories linger within
waiting for me
to give them life
but i cannot
I am frozen
and so are my words
so is the rhythm
the rhyme
the floetry
of my poetry
has flown off into
the sky
and with the birds
go my words
And I am here,
I am dry
Gone is inspiration!

Earth Dances
In excited rhythms thine speed slowly grows
enchanted motion, reflects in my entranced eyes
weaving bewitching charms in bodily fluent flows
dancing in my heart's globe, thy wind is my sighs
revolving as thou revolve, the mother of mine earth
thy music mine heart follows, mine blood through thine groove
my motion thy channel by the channel of birth
beats mine heart too, every beat thou moveā¦.

Reroute To Remain
It started as a whisper
Now try to dodge this roar
Unified is the most forceful way to go
Waste this one?
It's up to you!
We need this revolution
Destroy the pattern
Anything that seperates
across the times
Who dares to follow?
For years we wandered these circles
Hold on to whatever lie gets us through
Design new latitudes
Find ways to channel bliss
Us defined is to fragile to neglect
Reroute to remain
Reroute to remain
Never want to look back in greed
Can I please have your attention?
There are mountains to cross
For all that are willing
There are never ending treasures
That await you
For years we wandered these circles
Hold on to whatever lie gets us through
Design new latitudes
Find ways to channel bliss
Us defined is to fragile to neglect
Reroute to remain
Reroute to remain
Design new latitudes
Find ways to channel bliss
Us defined is to fragile to neglect
Reroute to remain
Reroute to remain
