London jostles with the public,
And the public has qualms with the Capital.
It winces from pressure so high
That those residents speak work of story
Incapacitated by greed of wealth and money.
You are a house-holder reputed to have stolen

I watched a small man with thick calluses on both hands work 15 and 16 hours a day. Perl was designed to work more like a natural language. It's a little more complicated but there are more shortcuts, and once you learned the language, it's more expressive.
