Silver Lining
My muffins are in the toaster
I got my raspberry jam
My grandfather was a sailor
That came onto this land
And he was looking for gold,
A pretty hand to hold,
Or some cards to fold.
At least, thats what I was told.
Silver lining
Silver lining, whered you go?
Turn on my tv
They got talking heads in space
Used to be so easy
To have a little faith
I used to rely on luck
I didnt feel so stuck
Could earn an honest buck
Without lookin round, like jon kruk.
Silver lining
Silver lining, whered you go?
I used to have hope
Now we got soap on a rope
I used to have dreams
Now we got overplayed baseball teams
We got grocery baggers, grafitti taggers,
Golf-ball shaggers, go team go.
Silver lining
Silver lining, whered you go?
My landlord knocks upon my door
Hes got that payday face
I swear to God he should be payin me
To live inside this place
Its filled with sharks and fins
Whose double chins say
Thicken your skin, child
If you want to win
Silver lining
Silver lining, whered you go?
I fix myself some herbal tea
Cause its healthier they say
Well, healthier aint half as fun
I take a cold beer anyday
I used to have dysfunctional fun
In the cancerous sun
With my co-dependent hon
Eatin greasy greasy hotdogs on a buttered up bun
Silver lining
Silver lining, whered you go?
Silver lining
Silver lining, whered you go?
[scat solo]
Repeat refrain. (x2)

So where's my silver lining?
I ofetn ly awake and wonder
while outside the stars are shining
well, on this earth someone sure loves me
and he's called my silver lining...
When i think of what he's like i see
his smile's mischivious, his eyes are loving
he's promised to love me all my life
and he's called my silver lining...
When i think of what his nature would be
so true are this thoughts & genuine each feeling
i sure hope he always stays that way
and he's called my silver lining...
When i think of what our relation feels life
he's my hero, he's protective & calls me his darling
he shares & cares, he understands my silence
and he's called my silver lining...
Well on this earth, someone sure loves me
and he's called my silver lining...
with dreams in my eyes, i'm waiting right now
so where's my silver living?

Silver Lining
They say every cloud
has a silver lining
and every true friend
a heart of gold.
In some moments
of distress,
we do not often see
what is there before our eyes.
Our judgement is clouded
and our worries conceal
what others try to give us
in hope and unconditional love.
The silver lining in our friends
is not always visible
and sometimes we are too blind
to see it there.

Silver Lining (A Tribute To Geometry)
Sent a note home to my mom
Expecting it to be a bomb
But my mom hates my teacher
And her whining
And the fact that I don’t care
Is silver lining
I have failed
And there’s no catching up
So I’ve decided I’ve had enough
And if you care then that’s just tough
The phone is ringing for my mom
Expecting it to be a bomb
But my mom hates my teacher
And her whining
And the fact that I don’t care
Is silver lining
I have failed
To the extreme
Passing this class
Is beyond my dreams
No motivation when there’s no catching up
And if you care well then that’s just tough
Sent a note home with me
Expecting me to drown in misery
But I hate her and her whining
And the fact that I don’t care
Is silver lining
I have failed
And I don’t care
She’s raining Hell
It’s so unfair
I am sick of her
And her whining
The fact that I don’t care
Is silver lining
I have failed
Beyond repair
This class is Hell
And I don’t care
I’m sick of her
And her whining
And the fact that I don’t care
Is the silver lining

Every Cloud has a Silver Lining.
If the days are long and dark is the night, it is not worth crying
For, Every Cloud has a Silver Lining
If the faith is low, making you low
Stop wait a step or two, to get up and flow.
Soar as an eagle and spread your wings
Take in your stride wat life brings
You’re one in a million, keep your fire burning
For, Every Cloud has a Silver Lining.

Where's The Silver?
Colors, colors everywhere
Colors all around
Reds and purples and blues are there
But silver can't be found
I look around, and now I've found some yellows and some greens
I look until my eyes are sore, but silver can't be seen
I look unto the vibrant clouds, but there's no silver lining
Where is all the silver that the miners should be mining?
There are no silver bells a'ringing
The silver songbirds are not singing
The orange sun hangs in the air, but I can't find silver anywhere
I look for hours, look for days, look for silver anyplace
But there always seems to be another color in it's place
I've given up this useless search
There is no silver left to find
I dropp my head and start to cry
When out of my pocket falls a silver dime

Alf’s Twelfth Bit
BALLAD FOR THE TIMES' SPECIAL SILVER NUMBER
Sez the Times a silver lining
Is what has set us pining,
Montague, Montague!
In the season sad and weary
When our minds are very bleary,
Montague, Montague!
There is Sir Hen. Deterding
His phrases interlarding,
Montague, Montague!
With the this and that and what
For putting silver on the spot,
Montague, Montague!
Just drop it in the slot
And it will surely boil the pot,
Montague, Montague!
Gold, of course, is solid too,
But some silver set to stew
Might do, too. Montague!
With a lively wood-pulp ‘ad’.
To cheer the bad and sad,
Montague, Montague!

Dream Away
(d. warren)
When this world, the real that world youre living in
Just gets too much for you to take
When you find too many troubles on your mind then
Feel just like there is no escape
And it seems your heart has forgotten how to believe
Turn a page in your soul
Theres a place you can go
Close your eyes and let your heart fly free (fly free)
(chorus)
Dream away, dream away
Let imagination light your way
Take you as far as your heart can see
Dream..., dream away, dream away
To a place where hope is shining
Find your silver lining (find your silver lining)
Everything you need is just to dream away
Remember when (remember when)
The dream could take you anywhere (anywhere you want to)
Just to wish (yes) anything could be
When the father sol is one more star you could reach
Take a look in your heart
cause thats where dreams are where start
Anything is real if you just believe (believe...)
(chorus)
All it takes is faith to make your dream come true (ah ah)
And somewhere in this world therell be somebody
To share your dreams with you
(chorus)

Silver And Gold
Silver, silver and gold
Silver and gold, silver and gold
Ev'ryone wishes for silver and gold
How do you measure its worth?
Just by the pleasure it gives here on earth.
Silver and gold, silver and gold
Mean so much more when I see
Silver and gold decorations
On ev'ry Christmas tree.
Silver, silver and gold
Silver, silver and gold
Silver and gold
Silver and gold
Silver and gold
Wise men brought gifts to the mange I'm told
Mary was humble to see
Shepherds and kings there on bended knees
It's silver and gold, silver and gold
Feeling the world with their lives
Silver and gold how they shimmer on ev'ry Christmas night
On ev'ry Christmas night
Silver, silver and gold

A weeks end again
Another weeks end, may see a long lost friend
Monday comes too soon it seems
Searching for broken dreams
Can't take all this madness
I've had my share of sadness
So, today I will enjoy my day
Come what may
Tomorrow will bring it's own woes
Worry not, the silver lining may turn to gold
Hope for the hopeless dreamer, am I
Weaving dreams of silver and gold
Living and loving 'till I die

Silver Is Just A Shiney Grey
That jewlery you gave me,
I thought was so beautiful.
Silver and gold and presious gemstones.
You said they were a symble of your love.
But silver is just a shiny grey,
And you took your love away.
Bit by painful bit,
You asked for a break.
I saw it coming,
But it still hurts the same.
They say that there's always a silver lining
To every cloud.
Silver lineing is still a grey cloud.
Someday, somehow, I'll find out
Gold is just a shiney yellow.
But yellow is happy and sunny.
Someday I'll find my yellow tounged hero.

The Hardest Part
And the hardest part
Was letting go not taking part
Was the hardest part
And the strangest thing
was waiting for that bell to ring
It was the strangest start
I could feel it go down
It is sweet I could taste in my mouth
Silver lining the clouds
Oh and I
I wish that I could work it out
And the hardest part
Was letting go not taking part
You really broke my heart
And I tried to sing
But I couldn't think of anything
That was the hardest part
I could feel it go down
You left the sweetest taste in my mouth
You're silver lining the clouds
Oh and I
Oh and I
I wonder what it's all about
I wonder what it's all about
Everything I know is wrong
Everything I do just comes undone
And everything is torn apart
Oh and it's the hardest part
That's the hardest part
Yeah that's the hardest part
That's the hardest part
