Bungle In The Jungle
Walking through forests of palm tree apartments ---
Scoff at the monkeys who live in their dark tents
Down by the waterhole --- drunk every friday ---
Eating their nuts --- saving their raisins for sunday.
Lions and tigers who wait in the shadows ---
Theyre fast but theyre lazy, and sleep in green meadows.
Lets bungle in the jungle --- well, thats all right by me.
Im a tiger when I want love,
But Im a snake if we disagree.
Just say a word and the boys will be right there:
With claws at your back to send a chill through the night air.
Is it so frightening to have me at your shoulder?
Thunder and lightning couldnt be bolder.
Ill write on your tombstone, ''i thank you for dinner.
This game that we animals play is a winner.
Lets bungle in the jungle --- well, thats all right by me.
Im a tiger when I want love,
But Im a snake if we disagree.
The rivers are full of crocodile nasties
And he who made kittens put snakes in the grass.
Hes a lover of life but a player of pawns ---
Yes, the king on his sunset lies waiting for dawn
To light up his jungle
As play is resumed.
The monkeys seem willing to strike up the tune.

No Place To Run
Joey rides the subway
Fast from east to west
On the street hes number one
Some say that hes the best
Got something going on
In a honkey tonk down town
He is expected
Word has got around
The other-side of midnight
Or in the combat zone
Meeting no resistance
Joe stands alone
Night riders prowling
Out into the night
Theres someone else out there
And theyre looking for a fight
Between the rain soaked buildings
A distant whistle blows
Fate lies in waiting
Its hand it never shows
* heart beating like a drum
Out in this wasteland
And theres no place baby for us to run
(in) jungle land (baby)
Jungle land, jungle land
Jungle land. jungle land
Under the railway arches
Someone calls his name
Streams out the words
Come on boy this aint no game
One flash of bright cold stsel
In a strangers hand
Kids dance away like shadows
Theres no one to command
Joeys got his name
Pairited on the wells
On the side of buses
Subways and tenement halls
(repeat *)

The Royal tiger of India
Stressful chattering of birds,
monkeys jumping from one branch to another.,
fluttering wings of birds,
running around of animals,
a sudden unrest in the jungle,
the news spread like forest fire,
there comes the majestic
yellow and black striped beast,
walked slowly on the dried leaves,
the best catwalk if one could luckily see,
the bold and the beautiful,
its the tiger on the scene,
the Royal tiger of India indeed,
unruffeld by noise around.,
unquestionable the king of jungle,
the wildest cat on earth,
unsocial solitary beast,
make every soul to fear for life,
be it a bird, animal, man or a beast.

The Jungle
Dense shrubbery so profound
McCaws and Monkeys playing around
While a lions roar, shakes the ground
and hyenna's are laughing like circus clowns
The hissing sound of a giant snake
competing for food by a dirty lake
confronted by crocs, lousy fate
Too late...can't escape
All the Zebras with their camoflouge
strolling the plains with their antorouge
unknown to the Tigers, whom they quietly pass
going down to the lake, where the snake just was
A mountain Gorilla with his family
teaching survival seems an eternity
avoiding poachers, killing their kind
following the silverback's conyving mind
Now the Elephants roam the land
keeping their young close at hand
strolling in herds, towards the water
using their trunks as a long grass cutter
The birds prance because they are free
they can seek safety up on a tree
they can perch on a branch and outwardly see
if an enemy is near, so they can flee
The lions march in a healthy pride
after grabbing a deer, whom by their jaws, just died
they will take their nap by the lakes other side
waiting on victims whom no longer can hide
Dense shrubbery so profound
McCaws and Monkeys playing around
a lions roar trembles the ground
and from within the jungle, echoes the sound.

A Tiger
Life as a tiger would be prowling around
Hunting swiftly without making a sound
Black and orange stripes falls across his skin
Little do you know about the roar it has within
The tiger quickly moves upon to his feet
Searching the jungle looking for something to eat
The lion might be king of the jungle
But the tiger kills and they still stay humble
The rare colours of orange and the black
If He sees pray he’s sure to attach
There eyes in night time can see twenty twenty
Black is the colour of death and it has killed plenty
People see tigers as quite violent creatures
But if you dig deep inside you’ll find some peaceful features’
The tiger tooth is white and pointed all around
The lion is called the king but the tiger should be crowned
So when you see a tiger
And you don’t feel very prepared
Just have a read of this poem
Then you wont feel that more scared

The Tiger- past predator: present prey!
Tiger, Tiger, poached for hide!
By Man’s bullets many died;
Bones and claws of thine are dried;
Poachers have thee crucified.
Past predator, now a prey!
Recklessly killed every day;
Thy extinction is so nigh;
Mortality of thine’s high.
Lord of Jungle, O Tiger!
Hast thou become much tamer?
Thy reserves have dwindled fast;
Wilt thou soon be thing of past?
Oh, what sinews, what muscles!
Victor of fiercest tussles;
Thou with agility stalk;
Despite weight, thou canst cat-walk!
No beast dare challenge thy might;
Thine eyes glimmer green at night;
Thou live in forests so dense;
Mighty beast- ’tis no pretence.
Frightens thy roar every beast;
Stalk thou grassland’s beasts for feast;
What strength fills thy graceful frame!
Jungle Lord, wherefrom thou came?

Where people live in the concrete jungle
Where people live in the concrete jungle
with apartments as their property
and no one knows of grass or flowers
or any natural life source
lorries drive the whole time with ton upon ton
of rocks and sand to construction sites that amazes.
Where people live in the concrete jungle
with apartments as their property
they see nothing of nature from their balconies
while just more and more arrives in the city,
disguised from the essence of existence,
with only the charm of the rays of the sun,
where people live in the concrete jungle.

Cat Up On The Cupboard
Hey cat, up there on the cupboard staring with your green eyes down on me,
Watcha doin' up there cat? Pretending that you are a panther, say?
Are you going to jump down on my head because I am your prey?
Better not you stupid cat, I'm bigger anyway
And I can beat you one-on-one though you'd be a tiger, say!
You jump on me you stupid cat and that will be your biggest bungle,
I will kick the nine-lives out of you though you'd be the jaguar of the jungle!

Deep In The Jungle
Haumbambayahumbambaheyahumbambayahe
You better start thinking, this is not a girl
Believe in yourself then you can make this a nice world
This is the place, that we're livin'in
Enjoy your life, be fair and you will win
Don't fake the truth and say there is nothing
Cause you know so well, there is something
I play no games, I don't tell no lies
I'm in a deep deep jungle, I can see it in your eyes
Haumbambayahumbambaheyahumbambayahe
I'm in the jungle
Haumbambayahumbambaheyahumbambayahe
I'm in the deep deep jungle
Haumbambayahumbambaheyahumbambayahe
I'm in the jungle
Haumbambayahumbambaheyahumbambayahe
I'm in the deep deep jungle
It was great, you know what I mean
I opened my eyes and it was a dream
It's dream, what I'm talking about
From left to the right and that's all without
Without pain, no gain another hit no brain
And by the way the shame it wouldn't be the same
I play no games, I don't tell no lies
I'm in a deep deep jungle, I can see it in your eyes

Concrete Jungle
No sun will shine in my day today
The hich yellow moon won't come out to play
I said darkness has covered my light
And the stage my day into night
Where is the love to be found
Won't someone tell me
Cause life must be somewhere to be found
Instead of concrete jungle
Where the living is harder
Concrete jungle
Man you got to do your best
No chains around my feet
But I'm not free
I know I am bound here in captivity
yeh-I've never known the happiness
I've never known what sweet caress is
Still-I'll be always laughing like a clown
Won't somebody help me 'cause
I've got to pick myself from off the ground
In this ya concrete jungle
I said what do you got for me now
Concrete jungle ah won't you let me be now

Ballad Of Jingle Jangle Jim (Fun Poem 32)
This is the ballad of Jingle Jangle Jim,
the bravest man there has ever been.
Jingle Jangle was walking through a wooded jungle one day,
when from a bush he heard a maiden call out in distress.
‘Oooh there is a snake in the grass.’
Jingle Jangle being the brave sort,
just jumped over the bush to save the young lass.
He grabbed hold of the six-inch snake in the grass.
The biggest grass snake he ever saw.
He wrassled that snake here and there,
even got it in a scissor grip.
He grabbed it with both hands
and waved it about a bit more,
and then rolled repeatedly on the wooded jungle floor.
The poor little snake looked cross-eyed
at this Jingle Jangle twit.
‘Hey, you idiot, you could have killed me.
Now just what do you think you were doing? ’
Jingle Jangle looked at the snake for a minute.
‘Wait just a minute, snakes don’t talk.’
‘This one can and if you don’t put me down I’ll arrest you,
I‘m an undercover pygmy policeman you see.
I’m on a stake out to catch the thief
who has been stealing Farmer Giles,
beautiful, award winning blue-belles.
Now put me down you Jingle Jangle idiot,
or Ill arrest you for the said crime.’
Jingle Jangle dropped him right there.
The grass snake was as dizzy as hell.
He looked up at Jingle Jangle,
shook his little head.
’Farmer Giles can look after
his own precious bluebells
’cause I quite.
The story is not over just yet,
for Jingle Jangle Jim and the snake
did a moonlight flit
with all of Farmer Giles precious bluebells.
The moral of the story
is never ask a snake in the grass
to look after your precious bluebells.

Its A Jungle Out There
(pilger, polen, moloney)
Producer for bonnie: jim steinman
I hear you call it civilization
Its a jungle out there
Its a jungle out there
Unending nights of temptation
Its a jungle out there
But you just dont care
Each night you dress up to kill them
Down at the watering hole
You stalk your prey with high fashion
With self control, you play the roll
The lonely and the lonely heart hunters
The neon love life, oh it cuts like a knife
I hear you call it civilization
Its a jungle out there
Its a jungle out there
The sounds and shadows surround you
Youre swinging vine to vine
Below the nightmare it gathers
Its like a jungle, at feeding time
Clawing through the crowd each night
Oh you set your trap so carefully, a trophy for your wall
Someone has you in their sights
You are both the hunters and the prey, no winners at all
I hear you call it civilization
Its ajungle out there
Its a jungle out there
Unending nights of temptation
Its ajungle out there
But you just dont care
Unending nights of temptation
Its a jungle out there
Its a jungle out there
Civilization! oh!
Its ajungle out there
You call it civilization
Its a jungle out there
Its a jungle out there

Jungle Apparition
At first, the tiger merely strolls
The jungle paths he knows,
As if he has no plans, no goals,
Till inner hunger grows...
It's then another hunt begins,
It's then he's most alert,
It's then his instincts must convince
That now's the time to hurt...
He stalks new prey, perchance to live,
As carnivores before,
He seeks to steal and not to give,
As if it were a chore...
Yet Nature chooses what must be,
For lions, tigers, bears...
And each must serve his destiny,
His dreams and his nightmares...
He's a ghostly apparition,
His colours help him blur...
He won't find an intermission,
Till things were as they were...
With tricks like these, the tiger strolls,
The jungle paths he knows,
Yet now with plans, yet now with goals,
As inner hunger grows...

The Lord of Stripes
In my dreams
I take the paws
Of a lonely tiger
And together we dance
My love, I’ll find you
Ablaze in a funeral pyre
We swim together
The tiger and I
Through cities
Made of emerald
My love, I’ll find you
Ablaze in a funeral pyre
Lions watch jealously
As the king of the jungle
Is passed over
For the lord of the dance
My love, I’ll wait for you
Ablaze in a funeral pyre.

The Jungle Sneaks in the Yard
The jungle sneaks in the yard
and changes from cat to tiger
in a moment
taking less than a second.
Something rustles in the grass
and he crawls on his stomach
with golden eyes drawn wide
he jumps through the air in a bow.
Claws hit in and teeth bite
and with his prey in its mouth
he comes to me,
jumps in through the room’s window
and there’s a black brown snake
hissing out of his mouth
l’Envoi
and cat’s eyes leer murderously cruel
as if has forgotten about being a cat
and eat snakes for snacks
and with one leap
he takes his prey to the outside.

The Wrong Child
Ive watched the children come and go
A late long march into spring
I sit and watch those children
Jump in the tall grass
Leap the sprinkler
Walk in the ground
Bicycle clothespin spokes
The sound the smell of swingset hands
I will try to sing a happy song
Ill try and make a happy game to play
Come play with me I whispered to my new found friend
Tell me what its like to go outside
Ive never been
Tell me what its like to just go outside
Ive never been
And I never will
Im not supposed to be like this
Im not supposed to be like this
But its okay
Hey those kids are looking at me
I told my friend myself
Those kids are looking at me
Theyre laughing and theyre running over here
Theyre laughing and theyre running over here
What do I do?
What can I do?
What should I do?
What do I say?
What can I say?
I said Im not supposed to be like this
Lets try to find a happy game to play
Lets try to find a happy game to play
Im not supposed to be like this
But its okay...okay

Jungle Trail
The treacherous tiger tip-toed
Towards the jungle trail...
Obedient to the tigers' code,
He knew he must not fail.
White tigers like to do their best,
As if they were like kings!
Let other creatures stare impressed!
Pathetic underlings!
That's why he walked as if on air,
As if the world were his.
So nonchalant, so debonair -
What more to life than this?
Yet hunger tamed his thoughts for now,
He dined on humble pie...
What future would the Fates allow?
What victim would pass by?
He licked his lips, expectantly!
He sensed new prey was near...
He crouched down low, so none could see,
Then everything was clear!
He pounced like lightning! Head to tail...
A nightmare not a dream!
Triumphant on his jungle trail...
Expert, yet so extreme...

In The Jungle
in the jungle you can sleep
with the commandments at your feet
where the devil lays his hand
you don't even need to think
I'm tearin holes without a sink
but I know just where I stand
lines from the story you put before me
I don't know what to choose
under the oak tree tin all around me
I don't know what to prove
yeah she felt you felt like hell
in the jungle you're in the jungle
you're in the jungle that's you
in the jungle you're in the jungle
you're in the jungle ooooooohhh
and I'll be waitin for a hit yeah
ain't gonna seem fair tonight
and I'll keep havin other fits yeah
because it makes me feel alright
alright alright ooohhh ooohhh yeah right ooohhh ooohhh yeah
so if you should need a hand
write down the address of the land
but I'm runnin out of time
I'll tell you when it's time to leave
you're never gonna get clean

Cold Hearted
(elliot wolff)
Hes a cold-hearted snake
Look into his eyes
Oh oh oh
Hes been tellin lies
Hes a lover boy at play
He dont play by rules
Oh oh oh
Girl dont play the fool--no
Youre the one givin up the love
Anytime he needs it
But you turn your back and then hes off
And runnin with the crowd
Youre the one to sacrifice
Anything to please him
Do you really think he thinks about you
When hes out
Hes a cold-hearted snake
Look into his eyes
Oh oh oh
Hes been tellin lies
Hes a lover boy at play
He dont play by rules
Oh oh oh
Girl dont play the fool--no
It was only late last night
He was out there sneakin
Then he called you up to check that you
Were waiting by the phone
All the worlds a candy store
Hes been trick or treatin
When it comes to true love girl with him
Theres no one home
Hes a cold-hearted snake
Look into his eyes
Oh oh oh
Hes been tellin lies
Hes a lover boy at play
He dont play by rules
Oh oh oh
Girl dont play the fool--no
You could find somebody better girl
He could only make you cry
You deserve somebody better girl
Hes c-cold as ice
Hes a cold-hearted snake
Look into his eyes
Oh oh oh
Hes been tellin lies
Hes a lover boy at play
He dont play by rules
Oh oh oh
Girl dont play the fool--no

Dark Forests
Dark forests...Northern...Sourthern Mountains,
Fierce tigers circle around the villages in broad daylight.
...To The red dawn of twilight
The skies shine bright
Protecting what is theirs
In the magic of the night
The tigers roam everywhere taking lives for food.
The Majesty of the tigers power,
The prey dare not make a sound.
The new kin tiger sprout every year
In the valleys low.
Male and female tigers come up and down the mountains in large groups.
There is a village near the tigers’ dens in the valley,
Where tigers often come and eat the villagers’ brown calves.
Rich young men dare not shoot the arrows at the tigers.
The Majesty of the Tiger lives forever
The Majesty of the Tiger
They only pretend to check for the tigers’ tracks in the forests.
