Noise is the most impertinent of all forms of interruption. It is not only an interruption, but is also a disruption of thought.

Occluded
Occluded by dust,
And well traveled orbits
Beyond the known space-
What rankles after midnight
Each being labors alone;
Coming and going a lonely way
The ending of life like a faint surprise
And even less interruption,
To others-
Back to the bingo, the pool halls,
Lottery tickets, and soccer games,
Finish the beer, the haircut, the lovemaking,
Death's another ritual, we must partake.
Mechanically we remove the blood,
Paint the face, bedeck with flowers.
Lower the body, down into wood:
(The small interruption does us good) -
But hallelujah- it's not our time, yet.

There is but one way for a president to deal with Congress, and that is continuously, incessantly, and without interruption. If it is really going to work, the relationship has got to be almost incestuous.

We were now, as I before mentioned, upon this St. Joseph's trail. It was evident, by the traces, that large parties were a few days in advance of us; and as we too supposed them to be Mormons, we had some apprehension of interruption.

Take Me Away
Take me away
with you, where there is,
no interruption,
no idleness,
no waiting for someone,
no avoiding.
where i can sleep
without waking up,
where there is
no gravity,
where infinity stops.
there is
no race,
no hate,
no rudeness,
take me away
with you
there unknown road...

I Dont Sleep, I Dream
Im looking for an interruption,
Do you believe?
You looking, did my dreams
Be prepared for anything
You come into my little scene
Hooray hooray hip hip hooray
Theres one thing I can guarantee:
You wont have to dig, dig too deep
Said leave me to lay, but touch me deep,
I dont sleep, I dream
Ill settle for a cup of coffee, but you know what I really need
Are you looking to drive my dreams?
You here to run my screens?
You come, deliver my demons
Hooray hooray hip hip hooray
Are you coming to ease my headache?
Do you give good head?
Am I good in bed?
I dont know, I guess so
I dont sleep, I dream
Ill settle for a cup of coffee, but you know what I really need
Im looking for an interruption,
Can you believe?
Some medicine for my headache
Hooray hooray hip hip hooray
Im pitching for a new direction
Pinch me when I wake
Dont tell me my dreams are fake
You leave me to lay, you touch me deep,
I dont sleep, I dream
Ill settle for a cup of coffee, but you know what I really need
Leave me to lay, but touch me deep,
I dont sleep, I dream
Ill settle for a cup of coffee, but you know what I really need

Do It Until It Numbs Productions
Sorry for the interruption!
As a reminder,
If you have not gotten the message by now...
Do not alarm yourselves.
Most of you will be relieved,
Of never having to worry about it anyway.
Continue with your idle distractions!
Play on.
'This message has been brought to you,
By...
Do It Until It Numbs Productions.'

Drifting
The drift of water is like a stream
That drinks itself and has a dream.
When the ice has been bitten
There is liquid life and caution.
Where is the likeable fountain?
It resides in the square, near a mountain.
This will erupt, monstrous eruption
To keep fire and lava, interruption.

His soul was never up for barter
Death was but minor interruption

Being Pleasant
~One moment please.
Someone's at the door.~
NO!
Weren't you people here two weeks ago?
And didn't I tell you then,
I have no interest in signing up for your product?
What don't you understand?
Take me off of your list!
Scratch my name off of it...
Right now.
And do not bother to come back here again.
Do I need to repeat that?
Good.
~Excuse me.
Sorry for the interruption.
What were we discussing? ~
'How being pleasant to others,
Can go a long way.'
~I'm in total agreement.
Would anyone care for a refill or a snack? ~

Meditation
talking of fire and passion
watch a scented pistil
guiding the asteroids, did you
hear the flawless silence
after the cuckoo’s call, an interruption,
a suspended pause, then a
high pitched cascading note, moon
is still hanging out on the western sky,
it is dawn
sun is coming out from the hazel bed
violence must cease
clouds are meditating

The Wrong Brush
From his horse he has had a vision,
A diverted interruption, we used to say.
No suffering there, their pain is rules,
Ones to explain to the masses.
Taking the wrong brush, colours fall
From the palette, so commanding,
Rousing no feeling, in every small atom,
Very close to feeling the vibration.
The very tears close and open,
To imagine a dramatic great man
Requires an artist’s touch of the pen,
Instead the art of writing is complete.

Why Are Suicides?
Be prepared to listen to others' woes.
It is a service to the human force.
Without sympathy or commitment,
You can still listen and sooth the grieved.
Interests and patience must be mustered.
Enough, you can appease the narrator.
Interruption and interference
Withheld, you are set to cleanse the teller.
To an allegation, or a gossip,
Or one's bragging, listening be withdrawn.
With silence and non-verbal sympathy
And wholly presence, listening will cure.

Moment Alone
Moment alone staring ahead
soothed by the sound of the rain
humor of a timely interruption
the haiku that could of been
patter off the gutters
puddles sloshing under tires
the earth refreshed and fragrant
even the flies are content in their hovering
damp sea foam moss on the trunks of trees
poetry so easy it almost isn't fair
anticipating far off vehicles
unknown faces friends to be found
memories gained
nothing lost
all exists immortal
within the mind of the eye

Looking, Walking, Being
"The World is not something to
look at, it is something to be in."
Mark Rudman
I look and look.
Looking's a way of being: one becomes,
sometimes, a pair of eyes walking.
Walking wherever looking takes one.
The eyes
dig and burrow into the world.
They touch
fanfare, howl, madrigal, clamor.
World and the past of it,
not only
visible present, solid and shadow
that looks at one looking.
And language? Rhythms
of echo and interruption?
That's
a way of breathing.
breathing to sustain
looking,
walking and looking,
through the world,
in it.

No. 51
To me that man seems like a god in heaven,
seems--may I say it?--greater than all gods are,
who sits by you & without interruption
watches you, listens
to your light laughter, which casts such confusion
onto my senses, Lesbia, that when I
gaze at you merely, all of my well-chosen
words are forgotten
as my tongue thickens & a subtle fire
runs through my body while my ears deafened
by their own ringing & at once my eyes are
covered in darkness!
Leisure, Catullus. More than just a nuisance,
leisure: you riot, overmuch enthusing.
Fabulous cities & their sometime kings have
died of such leisure.

The Intruder
AS I sat, to sift my dreaming
To the meet and needed word,
Came a merry Interruption
With insistence to be heard.
Smiling stood a maid beside me,
Half alluring and half shy;
Soft the white hint of her bosom-
Escapade was in her eye.
'I must not be so invaded,'
(IN anger then I cried)-
'Can't you see that I am busy?
Tempting creature, stay outside!
'Pearly rascal, I am writing:
I am now composing verse-
Fie on antic invitation:
Wanton, vanish-fly-disperse!
'Baggage, in my godlike moment
What have I to do with thee?'
And she laughed as she departed-
'I am Poetry,' said she.
