Imperia
The day you drew your final breath
And parted from the earth
Is carved into the stone that bears your name
And date of birth
Oooooooooo...imperia
Oooooooooo...imperia
He was leaning over you with flowers
And his hand
Trying through the years to see the heart
Inside the man
Oooooooooo...imperia
Oooooooooo...imperia

Forever Tonight
Ive been waiting
All my life
For the moment
To be right
You and me
Tonite could be the night
A love fantasy
My heart keeps cryin

Forever tonite
I wanna feel
You in my arms
I wanna love you till
The emptiness is gone
Take my hand

Matchpoint Of Our Love
Its been a long, long while
Since weve been strung out on love
And theres no mask of a smile
That can hide what were thinkin of
From your heart I hear
Only distant echoes of empty love
I guess this must be the matchpoint of our love
Early in the game when you broke me
Just like a serve (matchpoint matchpoint)
We shoulda walked off the court
But we both didnt have the nerve (matchpoint matchpoint)
So we volleyed a while with small talk
And a smile and as push comes to shove
Id say this must be the matchpoint of our love
No one ever held me the way you did
No one could ever love me the way you did
How could love slip away from me?
In lifes lonely game love too often
Can let you down (matchpoint matchpoint)
And tho no ones to blame
Love is stil the only game in town (matchpoint matchpoint)
When its loves last play you can only say by the stars above that this
Must be the match point of our love
Da da da, da da da da da da (matchpoint matcpoint)
Da da da da da, da da da da da da (matchpoint matchpoint)
Da da da da da, da da da da da da (matchpoint matchpoint)
Da da da da da, da da da da da da (matchpoint matchpoint)

Asylum
Jimmy cream was keen, his brain wal always winnin,
I cant keep tabs on mine, its really quite a joke
I see him down the road, I ask if hed be willing
To lend me 15p - Im dying for a smoke
Dont arrange to have me sent to no asylum
Im just as sane as anyone
Its a just a game I play for fun - for fun.
I told em - look! - I said Im not the way youre thinkin,
Just when Im down, Ill be a clown, Ill play the fool.
Please dont arrange to have me set to no asylum
Its just a game I play for fun - for fun.
Will he take a sailboat ride?
He is very likely to,
Will he feel good inside?
He aint very likely to,
Will he tell you hes alive?
He is always trying to
But nothin, no nothin, does he say
In the morning when the days begun
- hello good morning, how are you?
And in the evening or the noonday sun
- what a lovely afternoon!
Well Ive been living next to you
Bluesy monday is the one day that they come here,
When they haunt me and taunt me in my cage.
I mock them all, theyre feelin small, they got no answer
Theyre playin dumb but Im just lauging as they rage
Dont arrange to have me sent to no asylum
Its only a game I play for fun
Ive been foolin everyone - everyone.
Will he take a sailboat ride?
He is very likely to
Will he fool good insidie?
He aint ever likely to
Will he tell you hes alive?
He is always tryin to
But nothin, no nothin does he vere say
In the morning when the days begun
- do you think it looks like rain?
And in the evening or the noonday sun
- you know I nearly missed my train
Well Ive been living next to you my friend
But what kind of friend are you?
Is it the beginning or the sorry end?
Will I ever see it through?
Ive never been insane
Oh whats the game?
I believe Im dying...
Hes mad, mad, mad...
Not quite right...
Oooooooooo..............

Do You Remember?
Little richard sang it and dick clark brought it to life
Danny and the juniors hit a groove, stuck as sharp as a knife
Well now do you remember all the guys that gave us rock and roll
Chuck berrys gotta be the greatest thing sthats come along
(hum diddy waddy, hum diddy wadda)
He made the guitar beats and wrote the all-time greatest song
(hum diddy waddy, hum diddy wadda)
Well now do you remember all the guys that gave us rock and roll
(hum diddy waddy doo)
Elvis presley is the king
Hes the giant of the day
Paved the way for the rock and roll stars
Yeah the critics kept a knockin
But the stars kept a rockin
And the choppin didnt get very far
Goodness gracious great balls of fire
Nothins really movin till the saxophones ready to blow
(do you remember, do you remember)
And the beats not jumpin till the drummer says hes ready to go
(do you remember, do you remember)
Well now do you remember all the guys that gave us rock and roll
(do you remember)
Lets hear the high voice wail (oooooooooo)
And hear the voice down low (wah-ah ah-ah)
Lets hear the background
Um diddy wadda, um diddy wadda
Um diddy wadda, um diddy wadda
They gave us rock and roll
Um diddy wadda, um diddy wadda

Intro
(Rustling about)
(Church bells ring)
(Deep breaths)
(Breath) Children of the beast's embrace
To scorn and hate the human race
(Breath) Consume the light that hugs the Earth
And aid the womb (Breath) in giving birth
To a group that will appear
(Breath) And guide you through this final year
The dark armies then will come

The Village
When a new life turns towards you
And the night becomes a bay
We shall remain forever
Everyone who meets his way
Oh, our love is like the flowers
The rain and the sea and the hours
Oh, our love is like the flowers
The rain and the sea and the hours
When the rain falls to the sea
Theyll be waiting for you and for me
And the sky reflects our image
Trying to sleep right through our lives
Oh, our love is like the earth
The sun and the trees and the birth
Oh, our love is like the earth
The sun and the trees and the birth
I am still here two days later
Same place, same time
And Im stuck here two years too long
Same place, the wrong time
Oh, our love is like the flowers
The rain and the sea and the hours
Oh, our love is like the flowers
The sun and the sea and the hours
Their love died three years ago
Spoken words I cannot show

Death
To the souls who live beneath our feet
To souls burdened by the dreadful dirt.
When I think of thee my heart beat
My soul to the ground, I feel thy hurt.
Through sympathy I think
Thou know the end of mirth
And life here and what it's worth
Please! speak to me so I may give birth
To thy anguish above on beautiful earth.
Me received no reply but a deep buried sigh…
For the leaden stone covers thy head
The squalid worms live in thy bed
I see thou drink from the roots of flowers
and thy see each one to its final hours.
As time passes
Slumber do thee too
Under the pure white snow
where frigid frost freezes thy bones
into an icy blue
I feel your pain can never move;
a pain no living soul can ever know….
Suddenly I hear a voice murmur from inside of me...
Thou speak quietly while we sleep in peace
And in our memories thou silent voices cease
Till we see a name carved on grave's cement stone
Thou souls beneath remain unknown
My Love reaches the depths of death's dark seat but my life lives upon my light feet... never again will I love, but always shall I live? I hope...
To the souls whom I love beneath my feet
May I tread softly and saunter sweetly as if life's a treat.
Till the death's knight comes again to ravenously eat
My flesh away, then only and then
I swear our souls shall meet again.....

See You On The Other Side
Voices, a thousand, thousand voices
Whispering, the time has passed for choices
Golden days are passing over, yeah
I cant seem to see you baby
Although my eyes are open wide
But I know Ill see you once more
When I see you, Ill see you on the other side
Yes, Ill see you, Ill see you on the other side
Leaving, I hate to see you cry
Grieving, I hate to say goodbye
Dust and ash forever, yeah
Though I know we mus be parted
As sure as stars are in the sky
Im gonna see when it comes to glory
And Ill see you, Ill see you on the other side
Yes Ill see you, Ill see you on the other side
Never thought Id feel like this
Strange to be alone, yeah
But well be together
Carved in stone, carved in stone, carved in stone
Hold me, hold me thight, Im falling
Far away. distant voices calling
Im so cold. I need you darling, yeah
I was down, but now Im flying
Straight across the great divide
I know youre crying, but Ill stop you crying
When I see you, I see you on the other side
Yes. Ill see you. see you on the othe side
Im gonna see you. see you on the other side
God knows Ill see you, see you on the other side, yeah
Ill see you. see you on the othe side
Im gonna see you. see you on the other side
God knows Ill see you, see you on the other side, yeah
I wanna see you, yeah, yeah, yeah, see you on the other side
God knows Ill see you, see you on the other side, yeah
Im gonna see you. see you on the other side

Life Giving Force
the earth is a bouquet of flowers
it bears good news
adam bears good news
adam is a bouquet flowers
he is earth exemplified
life giving force of earth
which inch of earth has
not really teemed with life?
those who had passed away
are in the flowers, in the trees -
standing tall
adam is a bouquet of flowers
earth exemplified
the beauty of its life giving force

Watch Green Leaves
It is lovely to watch green leaves
The miracle of God has to be believed
Tree so barren gets fresh outlets
Tree was to be felled with regret
Why sudden lease of fresh breath
The time was near for shot sure death
Yet it has shown some sign of continuity
Life can be restored to its original quality
Human body thrives little longer
Medicines and food make it stronger
It can last some more years
Even though there is unknown fear
What happens when face turns pale?
All worries rush on face like fresh tale
Some change has taken place inside
Can’t be hold and difficult to confide
It is final warning to say good bye
Nothing may help even desperate try
Life is to be given up at the last
The changes may take very fast
Every object on earth has to perish
It has warranty and date to finish
However we may never ill wish or expect to end
It has to be parted with good bye to friends
It is difficult to get detached
We are emotionally attached
Little separation gives us pain with gloom
There is no choice, enough space or room
You can read worry lines
The face is marred by yellow signs
No one knows when leaf may fall down
With little swing from air it will be blown

Inscription For A Stone Erected At The Sowing Of A Grove Of Oaks At Chillington, Anno 1790
Other stones the era tell,
When some feeble mortal fell;
I stand here to date the birth
Of these hardy sons of earth.
Which shall longest brave the sky,
Storm and frost -- these oaks or I?
Pass an age or two away,
I must moulder and decay;
But the years that crumble me
Shall invigorate the tree,
Spread its branch, dilate its size,
Lift its summit to the skies.
Cherish honour, virtue, truth,
So shalt thou prolong thy youth.
Wanting these, however fast
Man be fixed, and formed to last,
He is lifeless even now,
Stone at heart, and cannot grow.

Symbolic Spring
Spring is like birth.
You finally come onto the Earth.
You bloom and grow like flowers.
As birth can go on for hours.
The color of you is red.
Like the roses in a rose bed.
Your first breath is a scream of doom.
Not everything has hit full bloom.

I passed by the place where you abode
I passed by the place where you abode
Where lofty trees and ivy-beds grow a lot
I left some flowers by the door
And I carved some verses on the wall
The sweet flowers field I plucked and banded
Will wilt and fade away unwedded
It shall not give birth to an heir
Which bears forth its reflection and glare
These lovely cups are doomed to die
While with riotous colors your door sill dye
Their beauty to captive your love serves
As my royal on their mission stand brave
Their soft silken balmy lap is a sacrifice
To entrap a higher beauty and my anguish to pacify

North America Internal Combustion Engine Era Diorama Rant
In a smoky diorama, under glass
At the corner of the century,100 million were asked
To choose between a facile man, who presented himself cleverly
Hiding his real designs
And a complex man, presenting himself poorly
Hiding his hopes and dreams.
As I peered through the screen
They chose the latter in their numbers. But
High office was awarded to the one
Who played a better legal game.
I shook the glass in disbelief, put it aside
Waited for a while, and picked it up again.
Four years on, the facile man
Was widely understood, to believe
That the problems of his nation
And of its interests in the world
Could be solved by war
And by threats of war
Economic pressure on the poor
And a heavy gag of fear.
This time the masses chose him, by a narrow margin
Or so it appeared, depending on
Assessments of mysterious reports
Of polling station irregularities
From somewhere called Ohio.
The glass steamed up
Got really murky
At this point.
I called in our resident anthropologist.
She studied the little creatures
And the chaotic scene they made
And she kindly interpreted:
That appears to mean that 50 million creatures
Adults of the species
Who live complicated lives, seem smart enough to survive
In an unforgiving system, to educate their kids,
And get their families fed
Somehow and nonetheless,
Expect a facile man
Who serves the combustion machine
To bring solutions to their table, even after
His comprehensive exposure
As a creature deluded by grandeur
And a heart of malign intent.
It must be in the packaging, the machinery of fear
The smog that obscures these tiny figures
And keeps them apart from each other.
Then a faint voice spoke, barely audible
Amid the constant hum and babble
From the margin of the tableau
'Screw this. I'd rather discuss the environment
Or the legacy of Vietnam, the finer points
Of human rights
The poverty trap and the soul's escape
With his opponents any day
Over a glass of wine.
I guess it's just me, and the other 50 million.
Unfortunately
I have some fixed ideas
That I can't shake from my head
About how imperia should be run
And for whom.
How does it feel, Colin Powell?
You could have been the first real black President
An American Mandela, who knows what potential you were hiding inside?
Instead, you will go down in the history
As the one who lied about mythical weapons
To enable an illegal war.
We'll always remember your absurd props
Test tubes and grainy spy photographs.
How does it feel, Colin Powell?
And all the rest of you sacrificial fools?
How does it feel to be played
By a man so unremittingly shallow
That it's news whenever he reads a book!
Of course I'm part of the non-gas-guzzling
Internationalist, humanist, French-speaking
Liberal elite. I live in exile up here on the coast
Judging y'all. Bien sur, I think I'm smarter than you.
But it don't matter who I am, or who might be screaming this.
Your crimes will stand, and with them you will fall.
All your imperial Presidents, your Secretaries of State and Defence.
Lucky for you
That you chickened out of the Hague Tribunal.
We'd have witnesses up to testify. Iraqi mothers
Whose children were slain by your 'shock and awe'.
Chilean mothers, Guatemalan, Salvadorean, Nicaraguan mothers
Angolan, Mozambican, Vietnamese mothers, whose children
Were maimed by your proxies, your landmines and your bombs.
We wouldn't have hung you by the neck, as you did Saddam.
We'd have you listening to their testimony, day after day
Until all your victims had had their say, for all the years it would take
Unless you die of natural causes first
Their voices echoing in your dreams
And through the soil of your graves.
And how does it feel, American mothers,
Last but not least, your sons and your daughters
Dead in their bloody uniforms
Crippled and maimed
Traumatised by their violent dreams, for the sake of a man
And his murderous team, that force-fed you with lies?
Let him know how it feels to you. It's your right
And one thing that he can't take away.'
That's what we seemed to hear through the glass
Rabbiting on without end, it seemed
A faint and lonely voice
Or was it two, or several. Couldn't tell.
Well, my patience is not infinite.
Bored with all this parochial talk
I threw the little box aside
The glass screen cracked on the sharp edge
Of one of my many garbage cans
Scattering the millions of figurines, all across the floor.
Oh well. Just too bad.
Someone will have to sweep up again.
And I resumed
The construction of life in other times and worlds.

A Contemplation upon Flowers
BRAVE flowers--that I could gallant it like you,
And be as little vain!
You come abroad, and make a harmless show,
And to your beds of earth again.
You are not proud: you know your birth:
For your embroider'd garments are from earth.
You do obey your months and times, but I
Would have it ever Spring:
My fate would know no Winter, never die,
Nor think of such a thing.
O that I could my bed of earth but view
And smile, and look as cheerfully as you!
O teach me to see Death and not to fear,
But rather to take truce!
How often have I seen you at a bier,
And there look fresh and spruce!
You fragrant flowers! then teach me, that my breath
Like yours may sweeten and perfume my death.

In Tintagel Graveyard
Who brought flowers to this grave?
I, said the wren.
I brought them as seeds and then
Watched them grow.
No, said the wind. That's not true.
I blew them across the moor and sea,
I blew them up to the grave's door.
They were a gift from me.
They came of their own accord,
Said the celandine.
I know best. They're brothers of mine.
I am Death's friend,
Said the crow. I ought to know.
I dropped them into the shadow of the leaning stone.
I brought the flowers.
No, said Love,
It was I who brought them,
With the help of the wren's wing,
With the help of the wind's breath,
With the help of the celandine and the crow.
It was I who brought them
For the living and the dead to share,
I was the force that put those flowers there.

The Artists
you are the best artists
You hang my skin on the wall and drew me with ulna dip into my blood
You are great
You drew my face on your heart and paint it with love
You sew my name on your lip and pin it to the cloud
You background me with you in the distant future
Holding our seeds with smile of euphoria
You are my artist
You drew my mistakes on my chest and erase
It with your hand wrapping me softly
You blend our soul and mind and mount it as a kite flying the banner of bliss
You are beautiful
I've paint your heart with musk, your lip with honey and you skin with amber
We are both an artist
We carved ourselve with due
You clipped my eyes to the moon
I clipped the stars to you hair with galaxies of flower decorating our world
You my artist
You drew me with the world gazing at your statue hanging on the sky with flying nymphs sing songs of our artistic shadow

On My First Daughter
Here lies, to each her parents' ruth,
Mary, the daughter of their youth;
Yet all heaven's gifts being heaven's due,
It makes the father less to rue.
At six months' end she parted hence
With safety of her innocence;
Whose soul heaven's queen, whose name she bears,
In comfort of her mother's tears,
Hath placed amongst her virgin-train:
Where, while that severed doth remain,
This grave partakes the fleshly birth;
Which cover lightly, gentle earth!
