In Tintagel Graveyard

Who brought flowers to this grave?
I, said the wren.
I brought them as seeds and then
Watched them grow.

No, said the wind. That's not true.
I blew them across the moor and sea,
I blew them up to the grave's door.
They were a gift from me.

They came of their own accord,
Said the celandine.
I know best. They're brothers of mine.

I am Death's friend,
Said the crow. I ought to know.
I dropped them into the shadow of the leaning stone.
I brought the flowers.

No, said Love,
It was I who brought them,

With the help of the wren's wing,
With the help of the wind's breath,
With the help of the celandine and the crow.

It was I who brought them
For the living and the dead to share,
I was the force that put those flowers there.

Love Has Brought Me Around

Dont come to me with your sorrows anymore
I dont need to know
How bad youre feeling today
I declare Ive had my share
And Ive heard it all before
Its time for me to be stealing away
Let those rain clouds roll out on the sea
Let the sun shine down on me, hey, hey
Love has brought me around
Love has brought me around (yes, it has)
Love has brought me around
Love has brought me around
When my sky was full of gray
And my day was full of blue
There was nothing I could do
To see myself through
Now my head is full of springtime
And my heart is full of you
Good-bye lonely blue
It shall all come true
Miss november I detect a frown
Close your eyes and turn it upside down
Love has brought me around
Love has brought me around (dont you know)
Love has brought me around
Love has brought me around
I know you know what
Ive got to say is an old clich? anyway so they say
Love has brought me around
Love has brought me around
Love has brought me around
Love has brought me around (yes, it has)

A Bouquet

He brought to me a sweet bouquet
that sparkled in the light.
I touched the hand that picked the flowers,
daisies all so white.
When he left I held them close,
afraid that I might cry.
If only I could keep them
and never let them die.
But tears that flow
and flowers that grow
can both be dried you know.

The thought of this brought a smile
and never brought a tear.
My first bouquet would last forever
between pages I revere.

A sonnet on the wind's promises.

The wind brought me a present yesterday,
a scent it carried for three hundred miles.
It brought the ozone's hue from Sanna Bay
and stirred a pot of thought that so beguiles

and conjures up the past with abject ease,
as if time skipped upon the childhood rope.
Atlantic salt and sand so surely please
each blessed visitor they filled with hope.

The wind blew from the North in Summertime
and though it cooled the ardour on the ground,
It brought that thought that some would call sublime
a memory of love that few have found.

The wind brought me a present yesterday
a timeless beauty, trapped in its bouquet.

Brought Down

I was seldom sober in nineteen hundred and fifthy-four
Hey baby, maybe cause my baby had a baby by me
And I was still drinking dry gin
While you cried no, no more
And you were lyin and a-cryin,
And your tears fell dying on the floor
And Im brought down,
And I dont think I can get up again
Brought down,
My heart is hurt again
You were the fine lady in the early mornings
That always painted her toes
And lookin towards the east
Youd say hello to the early dawn before they rose
And you were the love lady
That always hung up her finely pressed clothes
And sayin so long to the western sundown,
You taught me how it grows
And Im brought down,
And I dont think I can get up again
Brought down,
And you just hurt my heart again
Brought down
Brought down
Im brought down
Brought down
Brought down
Brought down
Down
Im brought down,
And I dont think I can get up again
Im brought down,
Im hurt, its bad

He Loves Me.........

Yesterday he brought me a rose
And it wasn't our anniversary
But he slapped me the day before
Thinking that I'm his adversary
Then he shoved me, then he kicked me
Then he punched me, but I bit my tongue
Because after all he's my man and he loves me
I'm not so sure and I might be wrong
I think he loves me, he brought me flowers
Sometimes he strikes me, he sometimes beats me
But last night, he raped me in the shower
This morning he brought me a dozen roses
He says he's sorry, but again he hurt me
Again he slapped me, and then he dragged me
But then he kissed me, and then he hugged me
Tonight is special, there are more flowers
There is flowers near my head, flowers near my feet
Again I felt the pain tonight it was so deep
There is candles on my side and people walk by me
Tonight is special and its my funeral
This morning my husband killed me
But after all he loves me.................

True Dancing Souls

Our souls want to dance forever
not now. for you must see
Fate brought us together
too soon, he did

Finish your journey with her
and waiting I’ll be
For fate brought us together
too soon, he did

On future days we’ll be forever
our lives as one.
For fate brought us together
too soon, he did

Our lips touch, our souls dance
bounded we’ll be soon
For now wait we must because
Fate brought us together
too soon, he did

Soul mates forever but not for now
we wait, for time will come.
For fate brought us together
too soon, he did

Friends for now but forever we’ll be
wrapped by the music.
For fate brought us together
too soon, he did

For eternity or forever I’ll wait
one day we’ll be
Together happily without her
For fate brought us together
too soon you see

Fate brought us together
too late he did
For years ago we met
yet now we see our love

Fate brought us together
too late he did.
Not speaking one word,
we saved our lives

Fate brought us together
too late he did
We share now our memories
As our souls join
together they dance eternally

Our love now stays strong
our patience grows weak
No worries my love for
Fate brought us together
too soon but not too late

Pardon My Heart

Its a fallen situation
When all eyes are turned in
And a love isnt flowing
The way it could have been.
You brought it all on
Oh, but it feels so wrong
You brought it all on
No, no, no, I dont believe this song
You brought it all on.
Its a sad communication
With little reason to believe
When one isnt giving
And one pretends to receive.
You brought it all on
Oh, but it feels so wrong
You brought it all on
No, no, no, I dont believe this song
You brought it all on.
Pardon my heart
If I showed that I cared
But I love you more than moments
We have or have not shared.
You brought it all on
Oh, and it feels so good
You brought it all on
When love flows the way that it should
You brought it all on.
It feels so good
It feels so good
You feel good.

Engineer Life

i have nothing to bring you
always words, which sometimes i think over with regret,
there was a time when i first met you, i brought you bars of
chocolates, which you set aside, and i thought you prefer flowers
which i brought the following night when you needed to see me,
only for a while you smelled the petals and put those flowers in a
vase, and they looked so pretty with limited light from the window
city lights, and you did not say anything, but i know what you wanted
i opened my heart, i unwrapped my body with all its drippings,
i give you my lips, i brought you all my sighs,
my manifold sorrows, my misgivings about a life that has no eyes
for me, and then i give you words again,
you have felt the whole of me, and you love me and i love you
in return,
quid pro qou,
just that brief moment, and then both of us are gone
because life has constructed for us two paths
that never once again shall
meet.

To Face The Storm

i am he who plowed and who swept,
that held your tears in trembling hands.
that carved your voice into the willow,
that whispered to stars in your name.
i am she whose back twas arched,
who brought you from the land unknown.
who suckled your hunger and filled you with awe,
who held your hand on walks of amazement.
and i am the tint and the hue of change,
the anvil and the forge....
that brought you from the shores of webbed feet,
to the ache inside the howl of the moon.
i am the lover that took your longing,
and entered your secret garden...
i am the wind that blew the curtains,
the sweat that glistened on your body.
now i am the urn, the casket, and the flowers,
words spoken in silent mourning...
but whose soul lies in perfect rest,
and whose is left to face the storm?

Graves

I dreamed one man stood against a thousand,
One man damned as a wrongheaded fool.
One year and another he walked the streets,
And a thousand shrugs and hoots
Met him in the shoulders and mouths he passed.

He died alone.
And only the undertaker came to his funeral.

Flowers grow over his grave anod in the wind,
And over the graves of the thousand, too,
The flowers grow anod in the wind.

Flowers and the wind,
Flowers anod over the graves of the dead,
Petals of red, leaves of yellow, streaks of white,
Masses of purple sagging…
I love you and your great way of forgetting.

I Owe A Debt To Spring

Oh, I owe a debt to spring,
She brought me wild flowers
And hardy daffodils
Beautiful velvet green carpeted hills.
She brought the mist of April showers,
With the promised bloom of May flowers.
Birds came back to sing,
Oh, I owe a debt to spring...
Seeing the colors of a rainbow dancing
Across the sky,
Spring came in with a lullaby.
I owe a debt to spring for
The love you bring,
To me my love,
To me.

Joy Inside My Tears

Ive always come to the conclusion that but is the way
Of asking for permission to lay something heavy on ones head
So I have tried to not be the one who ll fall into that line
But what I feel inside I think you should know
And baby thats you - you - you
Made lifes his*to*ry
Caue youve brought some joy inside my tears
And you have done what no one thought could be
Youve brought some joy inside my tears
Ive alwys felt that tomorroqw is for those who are too much afraid
To go past yesterday and start for today
I feel that lasting moments are coming fr and few between
So I should tell you of the happiness that you bring
Baby, baby its you - you - you
Made lifes his*to*ry
Oh baby, youve brought some joy inside my tears
Baby you have done what no one thought could be
You brought some joy inside my tears
You brought some joy inside my tears
You brought some joy inside my tears
Youve brought some joy inside my tears

You brought some joy inside my tears

You brought some joy inside my tears
You have done what no one thought could be
- no-body ever thought it would be
You have done what no one thought could be
You you you made lifes his*to*ry
- gotta shout about it baby
You brought some joy inside my tears

The Love Sonnets Of Proteus. Part IV: Vita Nova: LXXXV

THE SAME CONTINUED
These flowers shall be my offering, living flowers
Which here shall die with you in sacrifice,
Flowers from the empty fields which once were yours
And now are mine. No gold, nor myrrh, nor spice,
Nor any dead man's offering may suffice.
I love not flowers: but thus to deck a grave
Which has no need of things of greater price.
Life is the only tribute death would have.
--Ah, thou art dead. Mine is this fair domain
With all its living beauty and brave shows
Of lawn, and lake, and garden; mine the increase
Of the year's harvest, the slow growth of trees,
And that fair natural wealth we loved in vain,
Flowers, which shall never more adorn my house.

Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooh
Night, bring me my lover
Baby, night is sweet?

Do you want my lover, baby
Exchanging smiles and glances,
Just by to take my chances
Night bring me my lover, night
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooooh
Night bring me my lover, night
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooh
Night, bring me my lover
Youre the living cruel
To satisfy each other, thats the loving truth
One day is all I want belong to ? baby
Thats the way I found you, lover?
Each other
Nights brought us one another
Night bring me my lover, night
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooooh
Night bring me my lover, night
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooh
(Im so high) Im in love tonight
(so high) I think our love is so right

Gotta Bad Nose Job

Bah bah bah babbay,
You brought the Moon.
Bah,
Babbay...
You brought the Stars.
Bah,
Babbay...
You brought the Sun,
Right into my heart!

Bah,
Babbay...
And when I sleep.
Bah,
Babbay...
My dreams get to leaping.
Bah,
Babbay...
And you know...
I am up to pace the floor.

'Cause I know,
You know...
I gotta bad nose job!

Bah
Bababy...
You brought the Stars.
Bah,
Babbay...
You brought the Sun,
Right into my heart!
And you know...
I know,
I gotta bad nose job!

Bah bah bah babbay,
You brought the Moon.
Bah,
Babbay...
You brought the Stars.
Bah,
Babbay...
You brought the Sun,
Right into my heart!
And you know...
I know you know,
I gotta bad nose job!

Yes I know you know...
I've got that bad nose job!

'You wanna put some 'salsa'
On that 'lemon merange'?
Do ya!
For your rhythmic pleasure?
Do ya?
And seal it with a French kiss?
Do ya? '

Yes I know...
You KNOW,
I've got that bad nose job.
Bah babbay...
Yes I've got it.
Bah babbay...
Yes I do.
Bah babbay...
Yes I've got it.
And you know it too.

Yes I know...
You KNOW I've-got-that BAD nose job!

An August Day

I found myself standing in a cornfield
on a warm summer’s day.
A Sunday wind blew into my face
and carried me away.

It swept me high into the sky
until I was a cloud so white.
My whisper of hello echoed out,
which brought a flash of light.

The northern wind became annoyed
and brought darkness to the sky.
Roars of thunder shook the heavens,
which caused the clouds to cry.

Strings of jagged flashes fired down,
as the blackness held back the light.
“Sorry! I didn’t mean to wake you, ” I shouted,
which calmed the heaven’s might.

Tranquillity filled the darkness,
which led to its fracture by the sun.
Threads of light became beams,
leaving the day as it begun.

Hope is luminous, swift, vision & daring.

I'm down with despair and darkness around, hope is luminous; brought light.
I'm gasping for breathe and struggling to walk, hope is swift; brought breaths to run.

I'm devoid of courage and lack strength, hope is daring; brought reasons to fight.
