Peculiar Situation
(clarke / hicks / nash)
We take walks in storms on rainy nights
When its cold I hold you close to me
When we dine you help me choose the wine
Its these things that mean so much to me
Aint this a peculiar situation
Were lovers but we dont make love
But when these things mean so much to us
Well, thats all right
I dont think your father is too rich
And I know your mother has good taste
And its not because youre beautiful
When youre busy you find time for me
Aint this a peculiar situation
Were lovers but we dont make love
But when these things mean so much to us
Well, thats all right
But when these things mean so much to us
Well, thats all right
You do well at things that interest you
When asked out you never turn away
If youre wrong you dont mind saying so
Not too proud to phone me when youre down
Aint this a peculiar situation
Were lovers but we dont make love
But when these things mean so much to us
Well, thats all right
Aint this a peculiar situation
Aint this a peculiar situation
Aint this a peculiar situation

The unity of all things
The unity of all things
is a belief which some
would consider pointless;
others might regard,
as insidious; suspect a lurking
hidden agenda; some
might says it’s useless and unproveable,
declare pathetic fallacy, and hurry on
to life’s more pressing details and specifics;
I can only say that there are things
so useful to the mind, although
they cannot be proved;
I’ll say that holding this concept,
this glorious possibility, in the mind
makes one more inquisitive, be it
journalist or writer, or simply
human being: seeking always
the causes of all things beyond
what they profess to be;
so too for poets, swimming in a sea
of metaphor – of all things joined
in one more radiant meaning which lights up
the life of every thing; as when
a housewife dusts and polishes
a room into a home; bestows
her being on our space;
the unity of all things
makes space for all things;
Creation promises some order;
behind the smaller things, the greater;
a place for grace, for ordered life,
for hope, and charity, and love;
a boundless place; a grace;
a graceful space.

A Most Peculiar Man
He was a most peculiar man
That's what Mrs. Riordan says and she should know
She lived upstairs from him
She said he was a most peculiar man
He was a most peculiar man
He lived all alone within a house
Within a room, within himself
A most peculiar man
He had no friends, he seldom spoke
And no one in turn ever spoke to him
'Cause he wasn't friendly and he didn't care
And he wasn't like them
Oh no! He was a most peculiar man
He died last Saturday
He turned on the gas and he went to sleep
With the windows closed so he'd never wake up
To his silent world and his tiny room
And Mrs. Riordan says he has a brother somewhere
Who should be notified soon
And all the people said,
"What a shame that he's dead
But wasn't he a most peculiar man?

You Are the Greatest
You are the greatest
My love you are the greatest
You make all things beautiful
To me your love is wonderful
Thou feedest me
When i am hungry
Giveth me waters
To quench my thirst
You put me first
Encourage me to be the best
You are the greatest
My love you are the greatest
You visited me
When i was in jail
You encouraged me to be
The head not the tail
You are the reason
I did not fail
You are the greatest
My love you are the greatest
You are my motivation
My source of power generation
Oh my savor
You are my heart desire
Truly you are my lover
May you live forever
You are the greatest
My love you are the greatest

Inspiration
Through you I find great inspiration.
All around such jubilation.
Far away from recriminations.
Inspiring lengths of grace.
Fear and doubt leave without a trace.
You always put me in a speacial place.
Inspiring me to do things right.
I want to be your courageous knight.
Commiting acts of greatness for your plight.
I'd never show you the smallest slight.
Your inspiration breeds my righteous fight.
I'll always be there day and night.
You always bring inspiring light.
So let us share the greatest life.
Our inspiration frees us from the strife.
The greatest tale of inspired love.
Bestowed upon us from above

Aint That Peculiar
By william robinson, warren moore, marvin tarplin and robert rodgers
You do me wrong and still Im crazy bout you
Stay away too long and I cant do without you
Every chance you get you seem to hurt me more and more
But each hurt just makes my love stronger than before
I know flowers grow through rain
But how can love grow through pain
Chorus:
Aint that peculiar
A peculiarity
Aint that peculiar baby
Peculiar as can be
You tell me lies that should be obvious to me
But Im in so much love with you baby that I dont want to see
That the things you do and say are designed to make me blue
Its a doggone shame my love for you makes all your lies seem true
If the truth makes love last longer
Why do lies make love stronger
Chorus:
Aint that peculiar
A peculiarity
Aint that peculiar baby
Peculiar as can be

The coziest place in the world
The coziest place in the world
Is between the legs of a girl
Exploring the peaks of her breast
While tracing the coriolis in her navel
The sweetest scent in this life
Is to see a smile that's pure
Escaping the trap of the cynic
I've been arrested to become pedantic
The greatest goal I have learned
Is to look in her eyes and know
That between us engaged is one soul
Looking for someone whose not in us
I would give my fortune to you
While building one for myself
Become rich if it meant loving you
Meant all the things peculiar to me
What is a house if not for a family?
A hand without sharing a partner
Speaking is easy for someone
Who knows the hearing of listening
I would be the king if you want
But I shun the idea of a princes
Its Romance reality not Romance and Fantasy
Just a girl to be honest with me
For its truth that is the lost art of love
And when two hearts sing in a rhyme
Never skipping across the tragic line
Boldly meeting each other
without fear of their sorrows
They will come to a place where few go
Learning to walk the fires of faith
So they can eventually arrive at their place
Where few dare ever go
and when two minds understand and accept
their love becomes
the coziest place in the world

All Things Work Out
All Things will indeed fall in place, for our God is a God of Grace.
All fears God will erase away, giving you comfort along the way.
Replacing the fear He does erase, with God’s peace in its place.
Soon what seems so very new, will all be common place for you.
The Grace God bestows on you, in His time will see you through.
No matter what your heart may say, God will lead you all the way.
As your emotion wells up inside, in Christ Jesus you must abide.
For His Grace is sufficient friend, from the beginning to the end.
What seems today to be concern, is just one more means to learn.
God will help you to understand, the present task you have at hand.
God puts you on unknown roads, sometimes with very heavy loads.
God uses things you don’t know, within your world to help you grow.
He works out tasks big and small; and God helps you when you fall.
What seems to be a huge task, can shrink to nothing when you ask.
Going to God on bended knees, will put your troubled heart at ease.
Just ask God right where you are, for Christ, my friend, is never far.
Friend, any time, any place, you can call upon His Awesome Grace.
A Grace that reaches far and wide, filling you with His Peace inside.
Just let Christ Jesus fill your heart, in each and every task you start.
And all your fears shall melt away, as Christ is in your heart to stay.

The Greatest
[Intro]
(The the, the the, the the, the the)
Don't throw no roses on my grave, boo
That's not a soldier, it's more like an angel
You got no where to run, no one to pray to
Jesus and Moses ain't comin' to save you
(The greatest, the the the greatest)
I flow like a butterfly, I sting like a hornet
They won't let me have it
Not even if no one else want it
And if I try to take it
They wanna break me down and strip me naked
They write a brand new rule and break it
They lie, they cheat, they steal, they fake it
But I'mma make it, Lord I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
I can't sweat it, know I got to get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt, my name will survive
(The greatest the the greatest man alive)
(The greatest man)
(The greatest, the the)
I'mma make it, Lord I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The gratest man alive)
I can't sweat it, I know I got to get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt, my name will survive
(The, the greatest man alive)
(The greatest, the the greatest man)
(The the, the greatest man alive)
(The, the the greatest, the the the greatest man)
(The greatest man alive)
I'mma make it, know that I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
I can't sweat it, I know I gotta get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt my name will survive
(The greatest man, the greatest man alive)
It only gets harder
It always seems so far away
The sky's getting darker
Another storm is on the way
(The the greatest, the the the greatest, the the)
Another storm is on the way
(The the the the greatest, the the greatest)
(The greatest man alive)

Hall Of Mirrors
The young man stepped into the hall of mirrors
Where he discovered a reflection of himself
Even the greatest stars discover themselves in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars discover themselves in the looking glass
Sometimes he saw his real face
And sometimes a stranger at his place
Even the greatest stars find their face in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars find their face in the looking glass
He fell in love with the image of himself
and suddenly the picture was distorted
Even the greatest stars dislike themselves in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars dislike themselves in the looking glass
He made up the person he wanted to be
And changed into a new personality
Even the greatest stars change themselves in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars change themselves in the looking glass
The artist is living in the mirror
With the echoes of himself
Even the greatest stars live their lives in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars live their lives in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars fix their face in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars fix their face in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars live their lives in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars live their lives in the looking glass

A singular person
I like to think that
I'm a singular person
Just not singular in any
Outstanding way
I like to think tho', that
There's something special
In the little things I do
And in a few of the things I say
I'm a man of few words
But a bearer of many emotions
I love wee little birds
And great briney oceans
Rustic ol' bridges
And ol' magic potions
Pump organs in ol
Churches…Sunday devotions
Yep…I like to think
That I'm a singular person
A peculiar man
In my own peculiar way
Not really outstanding
In my prosin' and versin'
A man of few words
And I'll keep it that way

What We Are Really Trying To Achieve
what are we really trying
to achieve in a page?
it is like a room with all things
out of place,
towel on the floor, misplaced pen
in the bath tub
a cat inside the cabinet
behaving like
your skeletons,
your glass is on the window
like a crazy dog wanting to get out
from the frame,
what we have are misfits, pieces in chaos,
times interpolated, interlaced fabrics,
seemingly without a design
improprieties,
we have art, we put things in order
make them beautiful again
back to its ordered beginnings
in the midst of these storms
tornadoes that dispel our belief systems
we go back to work, back to art and
system,
we are tying to piece things
threads into a fabric of beauty
of thoughts in grace
of gentle dreams, of peaceful places
these are...and i
am.

All Things Are Simply Possible, Just By God's Saving Grace!
I aimed to accomplish one thing,
But turned to be yet another;
I thought I was unfit in life,
But God brought me out of all strife.
All things are simply possible,
Just by God's saving grace!
I travelled by a road I chose;
It led me to an alien place;
I thought I had a blunder done;
God gave me timely rain and sun!
All things are simply possible,
Just by God's saving grace!
I felt awful and depressed oft,
And life had turned quite meaningless;
To God, I cried in despair, ‘Lord! '
My strength returned reading His Word!
All things are simply possible,
Just by God's saving grace!
I saw the modern world of man,
Afilled by sin and wickedness;
I felt like asking God, ‘But why? '
Hope filled my heart anew from sky!
All things are simply possible,
Just by God's saving grace!
I found all earthly life futile,
And wished from heart to earlier die!
But God renewed my spirits high,
And made my earthly stay worthwhile!
All things are simply possible,
But by God's saving grace!

The Peculiarities
When does the bizarre become sane as white bones?
One who is hale and hearty shall desire peculiar ends,
Vanishing once formed from the mud of the egg.
It is the ability of the deformed that contrives a picture,
One absurd and abnormal creature has adorned the ether.
The children have crawled forwards and backwards
When religion has asked for the main order to be complete.
Concerning us is the safety of others, dealing with their dis-pleasures,
Mocking their hard-earned money and cash for their rules are futile.
Why do the bizarre speak of material ends?
Peculiar and truly ablaze are the victims of this tragedy,
For their ends are to meet with one another.

This is heaven to no one else but me
In this place
I am safe
Safe from other opinions
The expectance to have courage and grace
Here in this place
I can be afraid
Of the words I want to say
But never will
In this place
I can be honest to my heart
I can’t lie and say I’m fine
In this place called heaven
The heaven that is only mine.
A place of broken grace and
The place of unknown time.
