Yes, the Fish Music
A trout-colored wind blows
through my eyes, through my fingers,
and I remember how the trout
used to hide from the dinosaurs
when they came to drink at the river.
The trout hid in subways, castles,
and automobiles. They waited patiently for the dinosaurs to go away.

Change 'Premise' To 'Promise
The premise is there,
Based upon certain assumptions...
To us given.
Although the promise to deliver,
What had been expected is missing...
It would be in our best interest,
To conclude our investigation to be complete.
'But to move forward on a premise,
Leaves what is needed left circumstantial.'
There are the same letters in the word 'premise',
As there are in 'promise'.
Exchange the 'e' for the 'o'...
And no one would ever know the difference,
If the evidence is based upon circumstances...
That concludes our investigation.
Or if assumptions accepted as proof was used.
'So...
No one would ever know,
The evidence we have collected...
Is actually inconclusive? '
Look...
No one here is attempting to prove,
We are scholars or rocket scientists.
Change 'premise' to 'promise' and that's it!
There is no need to be bogged down,
With specifics and details.
This is not that kind of case.

The Dao Of Fishing
Does a trout know it lives in water?
A lake her own watery universe,
where survival depends on speed
and an ability to find sustenance
The trout prays to her fish god;
“Lord god I hunger…feed me”
As if magic,
a fat worm drifts down from above
Instinctively the eager trout greedily
gulps down the wiggler
She then feels something sharp
in her gullet, then something
pulling her upward
She struggles;
Twisting and writhing
She’s pulled to waters surface
where she desperately jumps
It’s no use; the pull is too strong
Giving up she relaxes,
as a green web scoops down
and roughly encircles her
She gasps for breath in this dry
hostile alien environment
She hears a strange sound;
“Dad, ain’t she a beauty”
A beefy hand grasps the trout
Something cold is thrust down her throat
She feels the sharp hook dislodge and pull free
She makes a weak attempt to wiggle free,
just as another beefy hand holding something
wooden strikes downward…
She’s losing consciousness, but fights the
looming blackness long enough to think;
“God why hast thou forsaken me”
Then silence…

An Eagle's Life
An Eagle soars high above,
Skimming seas, lakes and cove,
Piercing, sharp, an Eagle's eye,
Swooping down, did spy,
Swimming trout en route,
Mother Nature's food.
She swooped down and without a doubt,
The majestic eagle has just caught a trout.
With one swipe, her claw did grab,
A fleshy trout, hardly a flap.
First things first for my friend Ben
The moon is shining on the lake
where trout are rising after flies
this tells me that it’s time to fish.
The gentle art of casting flies
correctly as my father taught,
has filled full many a supper dish
A trout that’s fried in bacon grease
Has a unique taste all its own,
If I were hungry I would wish.
For a fresh trout upon my plate
A feast I would appreciate.
But first you have to catch your fish.

Mattering
I matter to weaknesses in my life,
These craters of joy are misspelt,
Like the enjoyment of a planet,
As we saw all that exists.
Let the world enjoy us at last,
Losing some of us in wars and battles,
Skirmishers must never have us,
Skirmishers must dine on their lice.
To find the geese is to find matters
Of the food and milk we eat and drink.
This fluid is milk and we are milk,
Filling our stomachs from too many cups.

Evidence Of Love
Evidence of love(chris farron, steve diamond)
When I look for the love in your eyes
You turn away
And theres nothing as loud as the words
That we never say
Look at us now
Standing on the edge again
Its not too late to try again
I need some...
(chorus)
Evidence of love
To keep on going
Show me some evidence of love
And Ill be here
I still believe we can see this through
Theres only so much I can do
And it doesnt make sense
Without some evidence of love
Theres a frozen look on your face
Is it saying good-bye
cause theres nothing as cold as the ashes
When the fire has died
Talk to me now
Tell me what youre missing
Talk to me now
And try to find your heart again
I need some...
(chorus)
Stand and fight
Gotta say whats on your mind, baby
So much is on the line
Heres a chance to make it right
Talk to me now
Tell me what youre missing
Talk to me now
And try to find your heart again
I need some...

Rainbow Trout
In the name of love she came
This foolish winsome girl
She was all decked out like a rainbow trout
Swimmin up stream in the world
And she said please, please, Ive lost my way
The current is too strong
In the name of love, kind sir I pray, in the name of love
So I took her by the hand, she took me by the will
She was all dolled up like a blue eyed pup
Looking for something to spill
And she said please, please, Ive lost my way
The current is too strong
In the name of love, kind sir I pray, in the name of love
In the name of love she came
This foolish winsome girl
She was all decked out like a rainbow trout
Swimmin upstream in the world
And she gave one flip of the rainbow tip of her tail
And she swam back down
And she said please, please, Ive lost my way
The current is too strong
In the name of love, kind sir I pray, in the name of love

To See a Doing of what Was Due to Come
I have never sought to share with anyone,
In the fighting of my own battles.
Nor have I ever sought to defend myself.
Against deceivers who pack their tongue with lies.
I don't even make attempts to try!
Why?
My back is protected and watched,
With a faith I trust too much.
And 'if' I am destined to face a fate,
I myself did not create.
That which has continued to protect me,
Would have long ago proven.
A faith I will never forsake,
Has been faking a power that I hallucinate.
And what I have witnessed most of my life.
Is just circumstantial evidence,
Of a doing thought achieved.
By those of misdeeds done.
With an affliction upon them of punishments,
Because to them they were due!
And I just happened along for no reason at all,
To see a doing of what was due to come.

Must faith be exactly that, the willingness and ability to believe in the face of a lack of evidence? If one could find the evidence, would then the faith be dead?

Sour Milk Sea
If your lifes not right, doesnt satisfy you
Dont get the breaks like some of us do
Better work it out; find where youve gone wrong
Better do it soon as you dont have long
Get out of sour milk sea
You dont belong there
Get back to where you should be
Find out whats going on there
If you want the most from everything you do
In the shortest time your dreams come true
In no time at all it makes you more aware
Very simple process takes you there
Get out of sour milk sea
You dont belong there
Get back to where you should be
Find out whats going on there
Looking for release from limitation?
Theres nothing much without illumination
Can fool-around with every different cult
Theres only one way brings result
Get out of sour milk sea
You dont belong there
Get back to where you should be
Find out whats going on there

REALLY! How Imaginative
People have stated,
They 'see' themselves...
Depicted in your writings.
Do you find that to be a compliment?
Or is that to you a coincidence?
Purely circumstantial is it?
'I find that most strange.
Since most of my writings,
Are focused upon the sexual preferences...
Of bees vacationing alone without their spouses,
In the Antarctic.
And doing 'odd' things with the polar bears there.
You know...
In The South Pole.'
REALLY!
How creative.
And all this time,
I perceived your depictions to have a human element...
Associated with them.
I see this clearly now.
Very vividly.
'REALLY!
How imaginative.'
