An Eagle's Life
An Eagle soars high above,
Skimming seas, lakes and cove,
Piercing, sharp, an Eagle's eye,
Swooping down, did spy,
Swimming trout en route,
Mother Nature's food.
She swooped down and without a doubt,
The majestic eagle has just caught a trout.
With one swipe, her claw did grab,
A fleshy trout, hardly a flap.

Yes, the Fish Music
A trout-colored wind blows
through my eyes, through my fingers,
and I remember how the trout
used to hide from the dinosaurs
when they came to drink at the river.
The trout hid in subways, castles,
and automobiles. They waited patiently for the dinosaurs to go away.

Eagle's song
Flying high in the sky, soaring
very high. High as an eagle
Yet only in my mind's eye.
Not giving up, yet continuing,
to try.
Gliding, through the gusty wind.
Until wings and the wind somehow blends together, as an acoustic, melodic strum, and births a song.
A gentle, distinct sound.
Is this the purpose?
A reason to the why,
Pressing through the storm, head lifted high
Eyes finally to see the sun piercing
behind the clouds. The eagle soars.

First things first for my friend Ben
The moon is shining on the lake
where trout are rising after flies
this tells me that it’s time to fish.
The gentle art of casting flies
correctly as my father taught,
has filled full many a supper dish
A trout that’s fried in bacon grease
Has a unique taste all its own,
If I were hungry I would wish.
For a fresh trout upon my plate
A feast I would appreciate.
But first you have to catch your fish.

The Eagle wasn't always the Eagle. The Eagle, before he became the Eagle, was Yucatangee, the Talker. Yucatangee talked and talked. It talked so much it heard only itself. Not the river, not the wind, not even the Wolf. The Raven came and said The Wolf is hungry. If you stop talking, you'll hear him. The wind too. And when you hear the wind, you'll fly. So he stopped talking. And became its nature, the Eagle. The Eagle soared, and its flight said all it needed to say.

Even leaves beg me'' says Eagle
eagle, niggard and black
perched on sycomore on Nile bank
tasty fish gambolled in water
at lightening speed eagle caught
tasty fish and scrambled out
eagle flew and perched on a tree
man was under a tree
and glanced at what sat on tree
eagle and man eyes met at ninety angle
eagle flew away saying
''man may conjure him
by evil eyes''
eagle flew and perched on second tree
some birds were on that tree
Eagle and others birds eyes met at ninety angle
eagle flew away saying he
'' choke as birds watch him eating''
Eagle flew and perched on third tree
the breeze shook leaves of tree
eagle saw leaves unfolded shaking
like a begging hand
eagle flew away saying
'' everything beg me , even leaves
beg me too''
Eagle flew and perched on fourth withered tree
no birds, men and leaves around there
only exrtreme silence around there
eagle ate tasty fish
sang in loudest resounding voice
''eel fish and tasty fish are not the same
I ate tasyty fish until heart palpitated in happiness''

A street thug and a paid killer are professionals - beasts of prey, if you will, who have dissociated themselves from the rest of humanity and can now see human beings in the same way that trout fishermen see trout.

When The Eagle Cries
Another day, just like any other
out of the blue, it turned to horror
How could they? Why would they?
The innocents suffered hell's inferno
An senseless act that goes unforgotten
How could they? They will pay.
(Chorus)
When the Eagle Cries (5x)
Out of the ashes came a tempted vengeance,
but we are focused, we seek redemption
we are free, we'll stay free
All they've done, is make us stronger
The sleeping giant, is asleep no longer
If need be, we'll die free
(Chorus)
When the Eagle Cries (blood will flow)
When the Eagle Cries (for freedom's fight)
When the Eagle Cries (we love us all)
When the Eagle Cries (we'll sacrifice)
When the Eagle Cries
When the Eagle Cries (blood will flow)
When the Eagle Cries they made us stronger (for freedoms fight)
When the Eagle Cries we'll sacrifice (we love us all)
When the Eagle Cries for freedom's fight (we'll sacrifice)

The Dao Of Fishing
Does a trout know it lives in water?
A lake her own watery universe,
where survival depends on speed
and an ability to find sustenance
The trout prays to her fish god;
“Lord god I hunger…feed me”
As if magic,
a fat worm drifts down from above
Instinctively the eager trout greedily
gulps down the wiggler
She then feels something sharp
in her gullet, then something
pulling her upward
She struggles;
Twisting and writhing
She’s pulled to waters surface
where she desperately jumps
It’s no use; the pull is too strong
Giving up she relaxes,
as a green web scoops down
and roughly encircles her
She gasps for breath in this dry
hostile alien environment
She hears a strange sound;
“Dad, ain’t she a beauty”
A beefy hand grasps the trout
Something cold is thrust down her throat
She feels the sharp hook dislodge and pull free
She makes a weak attempt to wiggle free,
just as another beefy hand holding something
wooden strikes downward…
She’s losing consciousness, but fights the
looming blackness long enough to think;
“God why hast thou forsaken me”
Then silence…

The Eagle and The Bear
The eagle's strength to compare that
of the bear this is how they fair the bear
can rip apart anything standing there
yet the eagle can fly through the air
the mighty physical strength of the bear must
stay on the ground in a limited area
around yet the eagle's strength of us do share
it's in every heart and on something's we wear
it shows the strength of the eagle for all to share
the eagle and the bear.

It's summertime, and I'm back again
And went to VA, oh, got my friends

Yeah but, let's show 'em what's above the nail, Bling
A hundred thou couldn't get you one of these (Not one of these)
I guarantee it ain't a flaw on one of these (One of these)
Two hundred thou, couldn't get you in the league
Get three hundred thou, you couldn't even buy the keys
I think you need to add 50 more G's
Now, shall I proceed?
[Ladies] Yes, indeed (Ho)
I need to see you take it down to the floor
Spread your wings, if you real, ma, fly real low
Pause for a second ma, grind real slow
And if you do it right
All day we'll go (Ho)
I talk a lil' Fred Seigal girl (Seigal, girl)
Bonnie and Judy Lee with your bag all beaded, girl
Apple bottom pair underneath it
You talkin' like you don't need it
I can tell you see it
I like that in you
I don't see nothin wrong
Drop down and get your eagle on (Whoa)
[Hook]

Throw your nose up, ma, and get rude if you wanna
Ain't got nothin' to lose, nor to prove
Babygirl soaked like she just got out of the pool (Eh)
I know you're thirsty, ma
Go ahead and order whatchu want
Some call it trickin', go ahead and call it whatchu want
I came to ball, I ain't come out here to front
Cause the black caught the pick-up with the gray car warrant
Attractiveness
Got me attackin' this
I'm so fabulous
Glutious maximus
She wanna fly south for the winter (For the winter)
I might just go down south just to win her (Just to win her)
Hell naw, she ain't gone leave me alone
Makin' plans for us to be at home
Take your pants off, ma, you can leave your panties on
But, first drop down and get your eagle on (Oh)
[Hook]

From the girls with skinny waists to girls heavy set
Come on
Flap your wings
Come on
Flap your wings
To the girls with extensions to the girls with dreads
Come on
Flap your wings
Come on
Flap your wings
From the girls got it good livin' in the suburbs
Come on
Flap your wings
Come on
Flap your wings
To the ones in the ghetto with their hands on their curves
Come on
Flap your wings
Come on
Flap your wings

An Old Eagle.
An Eagle Stands on the top of cliff,
Waiting for a way West Wind,
It stands so long in waiting,
Just for the wind to come.
The right wind comes,
This eagle feels so lonely to start flying,
It is ready to fly six thousand miles away,
How a long and lonely journey to go?
Suddenly it wants to give up a great dream.
How a great eagle will struggle on its way?
Why it did not do it earlier and younger?
The right wind passes vainly with no use.
The pitiful eagle is growing older and older.
What will be the next great job for this eagle?
Oh poor eagle, take it easy don’t look up so high.
You are not the new hero at nowadays.
Suddenly a way west wind blows pass,
that only brings you a loneliness.

Gravitational Defiance
Flying like an eagle
Every day of my life
Not like a chicken
Just to avoid strife
Defying gravity
Refusing to lose
Not by luck or chance
But because I Choose
I am bold and brave
Mounting in the sky
Ever Conquering
Until the day I die
Like an eagle

Illegal
I put my money on love again
At a hundred to one
I dealt my losing out
Ill just try til I win
Or see how close I can come
Oh it should be illegal
It gets me so high
I can fly like an eagle
Night after night
Ive known people who have thrown in the towel
Just cause theyve lost once or twice
But it takes a believer to put all this faith
In the toss of the dice
Oh it should be illegal
It gets me so high
I can fly like an eagle
Night after night
Oh it should be illegal
It gets me so high
I can fly like an eagle
Night after night

Links
The little and the great are joined in one
By God's great force. The wondrous golden sun
Is linked unto the glow-worm's tiny spark;
The eagle soars to heaven in his flight;
And in those realms of space, all bathed in light,
Soar none except the eagle and the lark.

Eagle When She Flies
Shes been there, God knows, shes been there
She has seen and done it all
Shes a woman, she know how to
Dish it out or take it all
Her hearts as soft as feathers
Still she weathers stormy skies
And shes a sparrow when shes broken
But shes an eagle when she flies
A kaleidoscope of colors
You can toss her around and round
You can keep her in you vision
But youll never keep her down
Shes a lover, shes a mother
Shes a friend and shes a wife
And shes a sparrow when shes broken
But shes an eagle when she flies
Gentle as the sweet magnolia
Strong as steel, her faith and pride
Shes an everlasting shoulder
Shes the leaning post of life
She hurts deep and when she weeps
Shes just as fragile as a child
And shes a sparrow when shes broken
But shes an eagle when she flies

Stealer Of Dreams
here comes
the stealer of dreams!
why do you steal dreams
by night by day?
my dreams are like
exhilarating rapids
at rivers turn in
mighty majestic gorge
my dreams are like trout
fighting their way up river
fighting for every inch gained
against fast flowing current
trout rests swims leaps
impossibly into the air
to traverse rocks they
cannot swim over air bound
their dreams are sky born
colours dance water shimmers
sun reflected upon flashing
scales radiant in gleaming sunlight
trout must answer spawning
instinct failure is not an option
dreams require return to riverbeds
creeks original creative conception
dreamers must sow dreams eggs
creative potential others may fertilize
bears birds fisher people cast spears
use nets to catch us feed upon our flesh
never forget our flesh is gift giving
bounty mother nature plentifully provides
in cycles chains of linked life sustaining
ecosystems all life dependent interlocked links
receive gift of life with respect dedication
do not squander resources waste take
more than is needed let life breed renew
when all dreamers are killed greed chokes

First Flight
The eagle teetered on the ledge,
Its first flight dead ahead!
Surveying all, next to the edge,
Its young heart filled with dread!
But Nature whispered on the wind,
'Just take your time, my friend...'
And though the eagle's brain still spinned,
Its fears came to an end...
Then all at once, its heart was brave
And with one single bound,
It raised itself as if by faith,
Its wings above the ground!
And off it swooped, the maiden flight,
With courage fate decreed...
And gravity soon lost the fight
With thermals to succeed!
So up it flew the thermal swirl,
Cascading now and then...
Then onward, upward, twist and twirl,
Till coasting once again...
But, oh, the flying! That's first rate!
Although it feels so rash...
Of course, the landing's not that great,
First time it's with a crash!
To think, each eagle's forced to learn,
To wing-it, as it were...
And just like others, take its turn,
So miracles occur!
Who knows how high the eagles fly?
I'm jealous as can be!
But I'm no angel, just a guy...
I'll stick to poetry...

Gone Fishin
When good ole spring comes rollin’ round
And the trout are in the brook,
A longing comes over me with a bound
To cast my feathered hook.
Then I get all my tackle out
My rods and reels and roundabouts
To go fishing for those trout
That I’ve read so much about.
There’s monsters here the circulars say
But every cursed day
That I go fishing out that way
Those monsters all go in to stay.
I never saw the sun once
During all my stay
But I’ll go home and tell everyone
‘Bout the big ones that got away.

Magnificent Eagles
I'd like to share
these magnificent pair.
Black eagles, mid-air
in battle,
One eagle's about to tackle,
Wings spread, sharp talons dread.
Tears up the skies, an eagle dies,
on mountains highs.
Victor flies, to a new sunrise.
