Then She Kissed Me
Well, she walked up to me
And she asked me if I wanted to dance
She looked kind of nice
And so I said I might take a chance
When we danced she held me tight
And when I walked her home that night
All the stars were shinin bright
And then she kissed me
Each time I saw her I couldnt wait to see her again
I wanted to let her know that she was more than a friend
I didnt know just what to do, so I whispered I love you

Mothers Day - To The Mother Of My Three Girls.
They were conceived inside your womb
kept safe within that cosy room.
You held them firm in your embrace
when in this world they showed their face.
They felt so loved and very blessed
when suckled there upon your breast.
You carried them upon your shoulder
and nurtured them as they grew older
laughed their laughter and cried their tears
felt their hurts and kissed away their fears.

Thanks Happenstance
I sat counting up all the blackeyes
i'd ever got
All the broken bones bloody noses
from all the battles i'd ever fought
Then I looked down at the top of my hands
With all their scars and scrapes
subway system of veins
Worn out skin from washing someone else's
greasy dish pans
And I laughed 'till I cried
cried 'till I laughed
Either way its all the same
for I was neither happy nor sad
Just thankful for all I'd ever had

I Watched
Pediatric E.R, R.I.P 11/5/09 (Volunteer work can be tough)
I watched…
A heartbreaking scene today
But I couldn’t take
my eyes away
I watched …
I feel shamed to say
I watched
a little girl die today
I watched …
an anguished EMT cry
I watched nurses drawn faces
I watched a little girl die
I watched …
Just outside the doors
The Frantic CPR applied
With frantic, futile force
I watched
Her mother fearfully enter the room
To be seated by her side
To share in her impending doom
I watched
A strange, unsettling scene
Upturned faces as if in prayer
hopefully watch the vitals screen
I watched
A life dissipate and fade
On a bed
That I had newly made
I watched…
At least a half hour they tried
With wondrous machines, marvelous medicines
Yet still, this little girl died
I watched…
Then I heard a small whimpering cry!
But It was only the mother
As she saw her child die

Her arms outspread, her mom at her side
Young staring eyes so angelicly appealing

The ocean and me
I played in the ocean,
that drowned a thousand men,
that sunk the titanic,
and many boats since then,
i played as if it was safer then safe,
as if its water,
many lives it did not take.
I sat on it's sands,
with the sun gleaming down,
and no one for miles,
could be seen,
with a frown.
I stared into it's magnificence,
it's glorious magnificence,
the kind of amazingness,
you see once in a,
lifetime.
I watched as it's tides,
fought with each other,
pulling north to south,
east to west,
with no boundaries,
knowing it could take us all down,
in one vigorous swoop.
And as i watched the ocean,
the ocean watched me,
and we looked at each other,
thinking the other,
was so free,
i held the world in my hands,
