When I Was Young I Cried

When I was young I cried when I was sad, when I was young I cried when I was happy, when I was young I cried when I wanted something, when I was young I cried when I was lonely, when I was young I cried when I had to say goodbye, when I was young I cried when my feelings were hurt, when I was young I cried when I wasn't accepted, when I was young I cried when I was mocked, when I was young I cried for attention, when I was young I cried when I was scared, when I was young I cried when I hurt others, when I was young I cried when I felt physical pain, when I was young I cried when I was jealous, when I was young I cried when I lost someone or when I was lost somewhere, when I was young I cried when I didn't know, and now as an adult I cry because I understand.

I've Cried My Eyes Out

I've cried my eyes out
Wondering why
I've thought of every reason
Why I dont deserve you
I've made reasons why no one should get close to me

I've cried my eyes out
Wishing we could be together
Wondering why we aren't
I've cried my eyes out
Wishing I could take back everything that I have done or said that has hurt you

I've cried my eyes out
Knowing that I have made your life a living hell
I've cried my eyes out knowing nothing
I do or say will ever get me closer to you

Young William And Young April

Young William and young April
Met in the park one day.
Young William said to April,
'Why did you come this way? '

Young April said to William,
'I thought I might see you.'
Young William, then to April,
'It's funny, what you do.'

Young April gave to William
A sweet, young childhood kiss.
Young William said to April,
'Don't bother me like this.'

Young April stood in silence,
Not knowing what to do.
Then young William turned away.
Young April, torn in two.

Young William said, 'Don't follow me.'
Away from her he fled.
April then, sat down and cried,
And wished that she was dead.

William never came again.
At least, for many years.
Fearful that young April still,
Might be there shedding tears.

William walked the park again.
It seemed just like before.
Wondering if he might see her.
Young April, there once more.

Young William never noticed.
The roses hid it well.
The place they found Young April.
The place she used to dwell.

They Used Up All My Tears

They used up all my tears

I cried for the mother that left me

I cried for the man who took her away

I cried for the brothers I couldn’t see

I cried for the family that abandoned me

I cried for the people that hurt me

I cried for those that were supposed to protect me

I cried for the family I lost

I cried for the family I needed

But when I went to cry those tears of happiness

There was nothing left

The tears had all gone

We Cry

The 10th of June, passing of our Son
We Cried
9mins holding him tight, words not spoken
We cried
Time of Death given,8pm
We Cried

Just 7 doors down from home, is all we keep saying
We Cried
6 Drunken teens, drove down our son that night
We Cried
The Fifth Commandment, thou shall not kill
We Cried
Four days later, our son lays beneath the earth

We Cried
The Driver receives 3yrs, is that my sons worth
We Cried
Two years good behavior, he walks the streets
We Cried
We only had One son his name was Micheal, our son
We Cry
It shouldn't have been his NUMBER calling
Still here we Cry

The Night I Cried

The night i cried
You weren't anymore there
Tears were heavy
No one asked me to share.

The night i cried
I cried whole night
Thinking of u my love
tears didn't stop a while.

The night i cried
I didn't want to cry
But i cried all night
still didn't know why.

The night i cried
I didn't wipe out my tears
I let them flow away
With the pain i preserved for years.

The night i cried
I silently sang something
That made me miss you more
Even more than i ever did.

The night i cried
My eyes couldn't sleep
My mind was going on asking me
Why i went so deep....

The Old Man's Comforts and how he gained them

You are old, Father William, the young man cried,
The few locks which are left you are grey;
You are hale, Father William, a hearty old man,
Now tell me the reason I pray.

In the days of my youth, Father William replied,
I remember'd that youth would fly fast,
And abused not my health and my vigour at first
That I never might need them at last.

You are old, Father William, the young man cried,
And pleasures with youth pass away,
And yet you lament not the days that are gone,
Now tell me the reason I pray.

In the days of my youth, Father William replied,
I remember'd that youth could not last;
I thought of the future whatever I did,
That I never might grieve for the past.

You are old, Father William, the young man cried,
And life must be hastening away;
You are chearful, and love to converse upon death!
Now tell me the reason I pray.

I am chearful, young man, Father William replied,
Let the cause thy attention engage;
In the days of my youth I remember'd my God!
And He hath not forgotten my age.

All Cried Out

(kaye / philinger)
I stayed up cryin all night (all night)
I knew the end was in sight (in sight)
And now youre walkin out on me (on me)
Youre wonderin where the little tears can be (can be)
Well, baby....

Last night I knew we were through (were through)
It hurt cause I still loved you (loved you)
Went home and couldnt fall asleep (asleep)

Mother Wept

Mother wept, and father sigh’d;
With delight a-glow
Cried the lad, “To-morrow,” cried,
“To the pit I go.”

Up and down the place he sped,
Greeted old and young,
Far and wide the tidings spread,
Clapp’d his hands and sung.

Came his cronies, some to gaze
Rapt in wonder; some
Free with counsel; some with praise;
Some with envy dumb.

“May he,” many a gossip cried,
“Be from peril kept;”
Father hid his face and sighed,
Mother turned and wept

A Year Or A Day

Seen from the height
Of a thousand miles
The earth looks the same as it did
How is it we can fly faster than day
But we cant find the things we need
Young man said the old man
Let the youth in your heart be at rest
We may all be dead
In a year or a day
When the devil is put to the test
The day of creation
Was our finest hour
Its something we ought to defend
But its been so abused
Since the first day of light
That no glory can come in the end
Young man cried the old man
There is victory in staying alive
And if you care so little
For the world were in
Why and what do you
Want to survive
Cant we try
To let the past go by
With its lessons firmly
Settled in our minds
To our children one by one
And before the darkness comes
Let us leave a world full of light
Of a different kind
In truth they should meet
And with love
Their hearts should beat
And with patience
Solve the problems of our time
It wouldnt be so hard to do
Its only up to me and you
Let us not bequeath
A life that is a crime
Young man cried the old man
Let the youth in your heart be at rest
We may all be dead
In a year or a day
When the devil is put to the test
Young man ...

My Sweet kittens

My sweet kittens
So young in heart
They cried for milk
So poor and feeble
Eyes filled with jerking tears
Mama cat left tnem alone in sphere
There eyes so red
Whole day they cried
So young they are
In cruel world they were born
Mama cat them left with scorn
Papa cat has run away
Under the apple tree
Lying helplessly yelling
In heavy storm and rain
Looking frail lying miserably
Mama cat deserted them improperly
Looking for warm lap
Mama cat fed them
The days passed by
Sun and heat they cried so loud
All Pain i feel and grim i see
Mama cat obscured them in unfathomable sea
They moaned and moaned
The days gone by
Since their mama cat left
And now they sleep there
Wait to see their mama cat badly
Mama cat disposed them of severly

Mom, When I Cried

Early morning, you make my bread,
The same with love to me you fed,
But when I cried to eat you said,
When I am with you don't need to be sad.

While walking to school, I was always red,
I would nag for you to carry me to the end,
But when I cried to walk you said,
When I am with you don't need to be sad.

From school when I come back,
With home works in my big pack,
I cried to do them, but you said,
When I am with you don't need to be sad.

At night, you put me in bed
My manners with stories you mend
But when I cried to sleep, you said
I am with you don't need to be sad.

Now all day long in loss I cry
Will you come, or at least give it a try?
But when I cried myself to sleep, in my dream you said
My child, you don't need to be sad.

Marie Christine

Have you seen the lighthouse shining from the rock
For the ship marie christine and all her gallant lot
Now have you seen the lighthouse
Oh we are close to land
Cried the brave young captain to his wretched band
Now have you seen the harbor cried marie christine
Have you seen the jagged rocks in the waters in between
Now have you seen the lighthouse
Oh save me if you can
For if you do I promise Ill never sail again
Now have you seen the lighthouse shining from the rock
Cried the brave young captain to his wretched lot
Now gather all your photographs
And don your coats of blue
If anyone can save us now, marie christine tis you
When I first saw marie christine the woman that she was
I ssigned aboard toman her sails and honor well her cause
I christened her with old champagne
And I drove her to the west
Of all the men who sailed on her, in truth I sailed her best
Have you seen the lighthouse shining from the rock
For the ship marie christine and all her gallant lot
Now have you seen the lighthouse
Oh we are close to land
Cried the brave young captain to his wretched band
Come all ye would be sailors
All ye would be sailors
All ye would be sailors
If anyone can save us now, marie christine tis you

Girl's Song

I went out alone
To sing a song or two,
My fancy on a man,
And you know who.

Another came in sight
That on a stick relied
To hold himself upright;
I sat and cried.

And that was all my song -
When everything is told,
Saw I an old man young
Or young man old?

I Cried Away the Tears From My Eyes

I cried away the tears from my eyes.
Trying to minimize the hurt I felt inside.
I cried until my eyes had dripped and dried...
That night you walked out and said goodbye.
Making me to feel I had been downsized.

I cried away the tears from my eyes,
Connected to your leaving with a grieving underneath!
And rode it out the rest of the night...
Alone and knowing you were gone on your own.
And wouldn't be answering your telephone.

I cried away the tears from my eyes.
Trying to minimize the hurt I felt inside.
I cried until my eyes had dripped and dried...
That night you walked out and said goodbye.
Making me to feel I had been downsized.
Hoping one day I could apologize.

I cried away the tears from my eyes.
Hoping one day I could apologize.
Since you made me feel I had been downsized.
That night you walked out and said goodbye.
And I cried my eyes until they dripped and dried.

You came and maximized my whole life.
But you hit me in the gut with a sucker punch.
And caring less I'm in a mess,
Feeling much crunched.

I cried away the tears from my eyes.
Trying to minimize the hurt I felt inside.
I cried until my eyes had dripped and dried.

I cried away the tears from my eyes.
Trying to minimize the hurt I felt inside.
I cried until my eyes had dripped and dried.
Trying to minimize the hurt I felt inside.
I cried and cried until my eyes had dried!

My man he cried today...

My man he cried today…

He looked at me all filled with fear
For he knew not what he would hear
Because believe me now when I say
My man he cried today

His face it bled from the from the beauty of his soul
This crystal clear waterfall it poured out of control
So believe me now when I say
My man he cried today

This emotion to him felt wrong
As it was forbidden for so long
But believe me now when I say
My man he cried today

He covered himself with his hands so strong
And repeatedly told me by me he’ll never do wrong
Down to the ground he knelt on one knee
And hailed me like a queen for all to see
For believe me when I say
My man he cried today

This passion he felt burning
Was released like the glory of morning
The love he felt was strong indeed
And I knew a man like him surely a rare breed
And believe me now what I say
My man he cried today

So I knelt down besides him and let him take me all in
For from here on now our lives shall begin
My soul is his now
And to my king I bow
And again I say my man he cried today

Our love so pure
All it shall cure
My man he cried
Lips upon lips
Heart upon heart
My man he cried

So I looked up filled with glee
As this man cried with me
And when I tell you this, you must believe
This man I will never leave
And now you know why when I say my man and I we cried today!

Misery n

Ive been misery n,
Ever since my daddy gone, yeah.
Ive been, honey, Ive been misery n, yes I have, now.
Ever since my, since my daddy gone, gone, gone.
But I believe that it wont,
Baby, it wont be too long,
If I just could hang on,
Yeah, until my, till my misery
Will all be gone.
Whoa, I said my rooms, you know,
Theyre so empty, empty, empty, empty, empty.
Filled up with sadness, sometimes, yeah.
My rooms are so empty, empty, empty, empty.
Child, filled up with sadness, honey, sometimes, sometimes.
Oh well it just, it just moves in,
Like the fog rolls in.
And I find i, well I cant see you, baby,
For my tears.
But Ive tried.
Dont you know Ive tried.
Cried, cried, cried, cried, cried.
Baby now, Ive been missin you.
Oh, Ive been missin you, babe!
Yeah, and it all seems to bother me
Much more that it seems it should be.
So, baby, now, now,
Baby, now, now,
Baby, tell me why,
Does it have to be
Oh, so wrong for me ?
I never thought I could ever want anybody,
No, no, no, never did, I never did.
Why am I feelin so strange ? ? ?
Whoaaaaa, I never, never, never needed nobody, no, no,
But maybe you could help me
Why am I feelin so strange ?
Yeah, an Ive got me a great,
An Ive got a great big bed
With two pillows for my head.
Hey, but lately I been sleepin, sleepin alone.
But Ive tried,
Dont you know Ive tried.
Cried, cried,
You know how Ive cried.
An, an baby, Ive been missin you.
Tried,
Dont you know Ive tried.
Cried,
Cried, cried, cried, cried,
Baby now, Ive been missin you.
Tried,
Dont you know Ive tried.
Cried, cried,
You know how Ive cried.

Tell me why you cried, and why you lied to me
Tell me why you cried, and why you lied to me
Well I gave you everything I had
But you left me sittin on my own
Did you have to treat me oh so bad?
All I do is hang my head and moan
Tell me why you cried, and why you lied to me
Tell me why you cried, and why you lied to me
If theres something I have said or done
Tell me what and Ill apologize
If you dont, I really cant go on
Holding back these tears in my eyes
Tell me why you cried, and why you lied to me
Tell me why you cried, and why you lied to me
(hey!)
Well Im begging on my bended knees
If youll only listen to my pleas
If theres anything I can do
cos I really cant stand it, Im so in love with you
Ohhhhhh!

Mom And Dad

If my Mom and Dad had not died
When I was young
What would my life have been like?

Would my Mom had showed me
How to use make-up;
And tell me, “not too much,
Or it will cake-up.”

What about the Father and Daughter dance;
Would my Dad had taken me,
If he had the chance.

I wonder if my Mom
Would have talked to me
About my little monthly friend;

And bring me a hot cup of tea
Every month that it began,
And let me lie in bed
With a warm heating pad.

Would my Dad had talked
To me about boys;
The one’s I should date,
The one’s to avoid.

I wonder what it would be like
To have living parents when you’re grown
Would your Mom still hold you;
And hum a happy song.

If you had a day
That didn’t go right;
Would your Dad take you out,
For a Father and Daughter night.

I wonder if I would have
Asked my Dad for money;
Would he just reach in his wallet,
And say “here you go honey.”

I wonder if my Mom and Dad
Would have cried at my first wedding.
What emotion at my divorce?
Cried at my second wedding.
At the birth of my child rejoice.

Would my Mom be in the room
When I had my first baby;
Would she had held my hand,
And said “it’s part of being a lady.”

If my parents had not died
When I was young;
Would they be proud of me?
What I grew-up to be.

He Cried

I need you
Simple words
But words which had never been heard
By the soul
Stoned to death
But still living
And so he froze where he stood
And he looked to the ground
And he cried
He cried
Ride our minds
If you must
But theres always a line you dont cross
Time is short
Dont be cruel
Oh you dont know the power
In what youre saying
Oh ...
And so he froze where he stood
And he looked to the ground
And he cried
He cried
People where
I come from
They survive without feelings or blood
I never could
Was stoned to death
But Im still living
So he froze where he stood
And he looked to the ground
And he cried
He cried
So he froze
And he looked, and he looked
To the ground
And he cried
He cried
