When one door opens, another closes.
this is the eternity's circle,
mistakes belongs to us, but not all,
the fate mapped out for us to follow,
but does not define our choices,
beings of necessity and randomness,
we're rattling over the abyss
in the vicinity of dying.

When The Lord Closes The Door
(kinky friedman & jeff shelby)
When i find myself alone in my house and in my head
And i blow the candles out and i take myself to bed
And i'm old enough to realize, ah, young enough to know
When the lord closes the door, he opens a little window.
When sleep closes my eyes and sends me searching for you
And i'm feelin' blue as the sky without your love to carry me through
And i'm weak enough to be afraid but strong enough to let it show.
When the lord closes the door, he opens a little window.
Baby i'm a gypsy boy, i'll ride the night until
I come to you like moonlight through your raggle-taggle window sill.
When you find yourself alone in your house and in your head
And you blow the candles out and you take yourself to bed
And you're old enough to realize, ah, young enough to know
When the lord closes the door, he opens a little window.

What Do You Believe?
we cannot say that we believe
in something, and then by our
actions, or even worse, inaction,
contradict it!
we are what we do, what we give,
and where we are standing at the
end of the day...
we all make mistakes, we all fail
on occasion, (i may be the worst!) ...
but the mistakes and failures dont
define us... how we react to them,
whether we take ownership of them,
and what we do to rectify them does!
the concept that anyone can reach
their dreams at the expense of anyone
else is false...
in order to restore integrity and dignity
to our lives, we have to have purpose...
and we have to have a deep level of
commitment...
we, and even our children, and their children,
are and will be governed by the results
of choices, choices already made, choices
being made, and future choices!
nothing happens by chance. we have no one
else to blame... and we cant put it on a
higher power... we cannot expect instant
redemption, or divine intervention...
it is up to us, as individuals, and as
community!
what do you believe? show me!

Lighting Crashes
Lightning crashes a new mother cries
Her placenta falls to the floor
The angel opens her eyes
The confusion sets in
Before the doctor can even close the door
Lightning crashes an old mother dies
Her intentions fall to the floor
The angel closes her eyes
The confusion that was hers
Belongs now to the baby down the hall
1-Oh now feel it, comin' back again
Like a rollin', thunder chasing the wind
Forces pullin' from
The center of the earth again
I can feel it.
Lightning crashes a new mother cries
This moment she's been waiting for
The angel opens her eyes
Pale blue colored iris
Presents the circle
And puts the glory out to hide, hide
(repeat 1, 1, 1)

There Is Something In Us Always
there is something in us always
that closes and opens like fingers
there is something inside that watches
for love, and waits, and anticipates,
something that feels home, and
goggles for familiarity, and when it
finds it, it opens so confidently,
unmindful of any pain, expectant
of the excitement, promised and
betrayed, and mourning, and then
there is something in us that closes,
no matter what, it is still closed,
despite the death of time, it still
closes upon itself, curling, thickening
unwilling, wanting to die, but couldn't.

Automatic Door
No mantra to utter
No knob to turn
No button to touch
Mere presence
In the vicinity
Opens to eternity
Automatic door.
Sensor for each sense
Motor for the move
Timer for the delay
Logic and software
Embedded in the hardware
Hidden from the view
Automation at service
Comfort and convenience
Man's many inventions
Holding their ground
Life's little pleasures
Spring out and abound.
End of my shopping
Both hands full
I walk to the door
It slides open
A great wonder
Of modern world.

Busy With Dying
we spend all of our lives,
busy with dying...
making final preperations,
for a trip across the room!
the prisoner makes preperations,
anxious for days...
anticipating his release.
almost afraid of freedom,
afraid of the unknown...
yet when the cell door opens,
the weight is lifted!
so busy with dying,
that we forget about living...
and so miss eternity,
in each moment!
the cell door is open!

When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.

R. M. a revelation
when he opens up
the world closes in on him
the headman closed the window
the woman with the white long gown
closes the door
they will change his name
the one that fits his revelation of who he really is
then he moves on
to a new life
this now he is as brave as a lion
carrying the truth of his sharp teeth
his strong legs and claws
make the great leap
from one cliff to the other
below him the abyss
between him
the invisible bridge of his connection
to the the truth long hidden
he is silent now
but free
his solitude becomes a tree with long leaves
full of flowers are the branches
now the butterflies like him are free
like a chameleon tired of changing hues
he sticks to the color of the wind
the warmth of the sun
on the lush grasses of the plains

The Black Bird Winging Its Way Inward
that early morning
the door opens and you
hear the rush of steps
going out of the house
the gate opens and
closes once again
and you
find yourself enclosed
in your freedom
of thought again
transforms into a black
bird
stretching its wings
to the breasts of dawn
and then
without so much hesitation
fly away again.

The Silent Hardworker
he arrives
one hour before the desired time
opens the door himself
without his aide
opens his computer
and tunes in for
some jazzy music
then to something
classical
he goes to the sofa
takes the pillow
and lays his head and
then he closes his eyes
this he does
privately inside
his office.

Human Nature
Why dose human nature
make life a misery
Never really knowing
the paths you chose to lead
For some their lives are easy
for others not so good
The consequences of actions
often blind the good
At times in life you feel
right choices you have made
But then you start to see
those choices weren't meant to be
The regrets that often stem
From bad choices in one's life
Makes you feel unworthy
to live a better life
So how does one learn
to forgive one self's mistakes
That has hurt so many beings
and made them weary of your plight
Is it true what people say
You learn from your mistakes
are you careful not to make
another foolish mistake
So now I take a step
Towards healing all my regrets
and hope that one day
I'll be a better human being

A Need For Redemption
the world opens a door
lets you in
makes you feel at home
and gives you love
and you give it children
it wants itself
populated and that is
what it only
wants from you and once
the progeny are
there the reality comes
in batches of
sorrows and
regrets and then the world
having taken what it
wants from you, soon,
excludes you
it closes the door
takes away air, chokes you
and then
you are gone for good
the world opens its doors
again
to populate itself with
innocent people
fooled into desire and lust
and then
finally expurgated into
the depths of
hell.

If God closes one door, He opens a thousand others.
Pay Before You Eat
Pay before you eat!
For the door opens automatically for you to enter;
And then closes up automatically after you've entered in! !
But when coming out of it, it is also difficult at times because,
There are well laid down rules for you to follow.
Pay before you eat! !
For there are rules everywhere in this life;
And many have fallen because they were not ready for them!
However, the road of life is now always straight as we do think.

Your grief....
Your grief for what youve lost holds a mirror
up to where you're bravely working.
Expecting the worst, you look and instead,
here's the joyful face youve been wanting to see.
Your hand opens and closes and opens and closes.
If it were always a fist or always stretched open,
you would be paralyzed.
Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expand
the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated
as birdwings.
