Wedding Dance
WEDDING DANCE
Melvin Banggollay
While the gongs of golden bronze
fills the night with rhythmic music
at the beating of the beaters hands
women and men who hears the beats
sways with joy as they join the dance.
But while everyone feels glorious joy
with the rhyming beat of the night
a man and women can never enjoy
for pains of fate entwined their sight
as a man weds other woman's ploy.
Long before that wedding dance
Awiyao and Lumnay lovely glance
each other with tender romance
full of joy as they shared in a dance
a burning passion with good riddance.
But culture and birth along with fate
never let them be perfect mate
For after seven harvest never late
they can't bear a child to make
their marriage acceptable to take
according to customs they partake.
The couple were force to separate
by the dictate of the village beliefs,
That every married man must make
a child to inherit their namesake
If not, they must look another mate.
Lumnay deep in her heart can't take
such village traditions they all partake
for She loved Awiyao without mistake
only that she can't bear any child
even they had done all to appease
Kabuniyan to bless them with kids
by offering precious golden beads
and animals in rituals as they praise.
Awiyao, in his solemn voice
Said to her, if he had a choice
He prefer to share with her
a love with a love that will never
fade even beyond the grave
but He is a man of their culture
that he had to follow to explore
chance to have a child to adore
his name when he'll be no more
but if I will not bear fruit my dear
I will came back to you with cheer.
and hope that you'll still be here.
.
Go, my dear love, leave me here
Go to the dance with my love's sheer
But let me tell you this my dear
I will never love no more, I declare.
This is a reflection of the story of the wedding dance from Amador T. Daguio featuring tribal love stories of the Cordillera people.

Save This Love Passion
Dance mon amour,
Please dance for me.
show me your perfect curve,
Make me alive, make me lured.
Dance my perfect love,
Please dance for me.
Show me what you can do,
Make me sweat, Make me full.
Dance my truly queen,
Please dance for me.
Show me you are the one,
Make me real, make me whole.
Dance you beauty soul,
Please dance for me.
Show me you only for me,
Make happy, make me feel.
Dance my dear companion,
Please dance for me.
Show me you are chosen one,
Make me love you, make last.
Dance my favourite song,
Please dance for me,
Make me true, make my session.

I dance for the love
I dance for the love
I dance even when I feel pain
I dance knowing there's something to gain
I dance for the love
I dance for me
I dance for everyone to see
I dance for the love
I dance as the sunshine
I dance hoping you will be mine
I dance for the love
I dance with words to say
I dance all day
I dance for the love
I dance even when you leave
I dance and still believe
I dance for the love

Don't Dance Me To The End
Don’t dance me to the end of love, but dance
me to the place where it resumes as if beginning
anew, each time, with nothing left to chance
except the penalties that come from sinning.
Like Babylonians let me feel you moving,
but let us not, before we go to bed,
recall Egyptians with their books approving
the afterlife they dream up for the dead.
While we are dancing, let’s think only of
the here and now, and so together burn
with passion for the life and after-love
that follows us when on one bed we turn,
but when in bed, recalling Babylon
whose waters both our ancestors once drank,
let us remember times that, though bygone,
from memories of lovetimes never shrank.
Inspired by Leonard Cohen’s “Dance Mee to the End of Love”:
Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic 'til I'm gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Oh let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving like they do in Babylon
Show me slowly what I only know the limits of
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
We're both of us beneath our love, we're both of us above
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the children who are asking to be born
Dance me through the curtains that our kisses have outworn
Raise a tent of shelter now, though every thread is torn
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic till I'm gathered safely in
Touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

So I Dance
Well I met you while we were sharing stares
from motorcars
And from there it was like a dream just coming true
The you asked if I like to dance and I said
"Not at all"
So you turned away to start the search for
someone new
Then an acetate Casanova sweeps you off your feet
Cause he dances like Michael J. meets Fred Astaire
And I desperately ask for one more chance
to be with you
And you smile at me while thinking "Yeah it's only fair"
So I dance
Dance with you
From now until you say you love me
Take a chance
Take a chance
That you'll only be thinking of me
So I dance
Well you live your whole life believing silly
fairytales
Like the King of Heart's coming down to marry you
But reality's coming fast and you feel all alone
So I hope you'll let me be the one to get you thru
So I dance
Dance with you
From now until you say you love me
Take a chance
Take a chance
That you'll only be thinking of me
So I dance
Dance with you
From now until you say you love me
Take a chance
Take a chance
That you'll only be thinking of me
So I Dance
Solo
So I dance - Dance - Dance
Well you're going out ballroom dancing
almost every night
While he's blinding you with his moves
and not a word
Then you say that if I could tango
you would have it all
So I "twist" with you and pray
I don't look too absurd
So I dance - Dance
Dance with you
From now until you say you love me
Take a chance
Take a chance
That you'll only be thinking of me
So I dance
Dance with you
From now until you say you love me
Take a chance
Take a chance
That you'll only be thinking of me
So I dance oooh
So I dance
So I dance oooh
So I dance

Dance Quickly Now

Dance, I said to the boy in the glass
Staring back at me with a darkening mask
Dance, I begged, with love and pain
Dance, please dance, oh dance again

Dance with the moon in the child’s eye
Circling the middle as black as coal
Dance quickly now, its leaving soon
Light of the moon and the child’s soul
Dance with the sun in the child’s laugh
Bouncing round off sinister things
Dance quickly now, with crystal prism
Scattering wisdom, melting wings
Dance with the rain in the child’s tear
Watching the clouds attack then stop
Dance quickly now, the storm has shattered
All that mattered, with a single drop
Dance with the hope in his stuttered speech
Holding it close for a later year
Dance quickly now, before he serves
Nonsense words, in a busted mirror
-
Though the moon may spin and the sun revolve
Though love still waits and the rain still falls
Though the child may laugh he glares inside
Exhaling life with a sudden sigh

Of Words And Dance...
Do you dance? Will you dance with me for
the rest of our lives?
I shall dance with you, through trouble times.
I shall dance with you in the dark of night.
We shall dance and skate on a rainy day.
We shall skip and dance our worries away.
We will dance with our children, and our friends,
through life.
Dance, yes we will, in laughter or tears.
Dance, on the stage of life, that we live.
Dance, through the hardships and troubles of life.
And will you dance with me, thou I am sad?
For I know that dance, will make me glad.
And when you weep, fear not my love,
I'll dance you to a happy place.
We'll dance among a field of flowers,
as the stars above, become our shower.
And the moon shall smile as it sees us dance,
two in love...twirling a ballet of life.
And do you say, will we tire of our dance? Na,
for with you as my love...life is a ball. Life is a dance
of love and that shall never end
Dance With Me...

We'll dance among a field of flowers,
as the stars above, become our shower.
And the moon shall smile as it sees us dance,

And do you say, will we tire of our dance? Na,
for with you as my love...life is a ball. Life is a dance

Pow Wow
Christopher columbus discovered america
Found he had a cornucopia
Gave love to the indians, they gave it back
A pow wow in the teepee is where its at
I want to dance with you
I want to dance with you
I want to dance with you
I want to dance with you
The indian fought with his arrow and bow
Till general custer lost to sitting bull
Scalped all day and scalped all night
Give me fire water, gonna buy me a wife
I want to dance with you
I want to dance with you
I want to dance with you
I want to dance with you
When your people first moved to our block
Our ancestors met with culture shock
Two different monkeys from two different trees
Come on lets stop our fightin and come dance with me
Come on dance with me
Come on and dance with me
cause I really wanna dance with you
I want to dance with you
Come on and dance with me

Dance dance dance
Dance in the moon light with,
All the stars in sight
Dance to the smiles
Dance in the shadows my love
Dance dance dance.
You may think I'm crazy
I'd dance in the moonlight
I'll dance when I want to
Please let me dance
Dance dance dance
Dancer take my hand to your,
Hand
I need to dance
Close your blue eyes,
Hold me in your arms and,
Dance dance dance.

Harvest Moon (live)
Come a little bit closer, hear what I have to say
Just like the children sleeping, we could dance the sun away
But there's a full moon risin', let's go dancin' in the night
We know where the music's playin', let's go out and feel the night
Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon
When we were strangers, I watched you from afar
Then we were lovers, I love you with all my heart
But now it's getting late, and the moon is climbing high
I want to celabrate, see it shining in your eyes
Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon
Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon

Dance with Me in The Key of Life
Holding the strings of vibes
We move to dance of life
When I look I see your essence
In space now empty
Quiet where the shout of whisper
Voice unheard in heart beats
Come here and dance
Hear the song of my mind
Dance to my beat in life
Let me hold you close to me
I feel my song is you
I want to sing you play to you
My beautiful song you be
Let me turn you
In step with my life
Move with me to music of life
Dance to pain of life
To joy of reality
The song for us to dance
Your moans of pleasure
Move me to love you
I now want to dance with you
Our finger touch our lip meet
Kissing to beats of jazz before
The blue come down on my soul
On I am coming to be true
To need what you be for me
Let just dance to our song
What the matter I’m the same as
Before your beats is my beat
Come dance with me come need me
I wait for you to know
I am for you only
Dance come dance your story with me
Move to life up and down
Dance with me I need you to dance
The dance of life in song of love

Let’s Dance
Let me take you by the hand
And lead you to the dance floor
Once more
Let’s embrace to the rhythm
Sway to the melody
And let the music set us free
Set us free
Let me take you by the hand
And spin you round and round
Let’s get lost in the mystery of the sound
So let’s dance
If we ever get the chance
Let’s dance
Whatever the circumstance
Let’s dance
It’s the formula for romance
Let’s dance
So take my hand and get up on your feet
Wrap your arms around me and feel the heat
Our hearts are pounding to the loud drum beat
Let’s make this night of love complete
So let’s dance
If we ever get the chance
Let’s dance
Whatever the circumstance
Let’s dance
It’s the formula to romance
Let’s dance

Last Dance
(wally bryson)
Wont you let me get to know you?
Given the time I could show you
How good it feels to be in love
Nice to have someone thinking of you
If I had the chance with you
Id ask for the last dance with you
Wed dance away into the night
Know that you shouldnt be sharing
All of those nights with your mother
Staring at you staring at her
Thinking of places you wish you were
If I had the chance with you
Id ask for the last dance with you
Wed dance away into the night
Couldnt you give me a chance for a while?
Given the time I know I could make you smile
And once you let me get to know you
And give me the time and I show you
How good it feels to be in love
At night youll have someone thinking of you
If I had the chance with you
Id ask for the last dance with you
Wed dance away into the night
When I get my chance with you
Ill make enough romance for two
Well dance away into the night

Dance With Me Tonight
Love in my heart is in motion, love in my thoughts are devotion
To find someone like you is a melody that comes true...
And now all I have to say is I want you...
Love is wonders of the universe running ramped like a current so lost in you.
Love like words a million times I want you here by my side, hold me, kiss me, touch me,
Like the ocean free I just want you to me.
Tell me we will be in love my girl.
Dance with me tonight we see the starry night.
Dance with me Dance with me I want to make you mine.
This hour, this minute, this second I give my soul to you.
Dance with me hold me tight.
I want to dance with you I want to see you through.
Kiss you forever.
Dreaming many nights praying for your love in my sight
I don’t know what to say to you,
But I know how to love you.
I want to be your kiss, I want to be your tear like a rainy day Dance away come back to me, like a candle waving bye I sigh I cry to be a part of you.
Wondering about the days that lay ahead is said to be the best thoughts of you and me.
I want you I need you.
Now before I met you the world was just a fantasy made up in my own world now I met you and you make me complete,
So lost in to a heart you built upon me.
Dance with me tonight we see the starry night.
Dance with me Dance with me I want to make you mine.
This hour, this minute, this second I give my soul to you.
Dance with me hold me tight.
I want to dance with you I want to see you through.
Kiss you forever.
You know how long I waited to see that day you and I like
Crystal diamonds glitter in the sky,
I never want to make you cry.
I wonder some days as I sigh about how to sweetly hold you near, to kiss my love on to you dear,
Deep in my mind I sing to you, bold is my love a desire in my Soul makes me flames higher.
A fire that burns I want to know, your love all I have
You’re the one I love for true, I want you.
Now soon to be with you I want it all, the world I give if I could to you
Dance with me my desire I admire my thoughts are high on you.
Dance with me tonight we see the starry night.
Dance with me Dance with me I want to make you mine.
This hour, this minute, this second I give my soul to you.
Dance with me hold me tight.
I want to dance with you I want to see you through.
Kiss you forever.
You now make dreams complete sing to me I sing to you
Let us be as one my girl your words heavenly
Hold me near be with me I want to be that soul mate
Say to me we shall be never apart but love every day a brand New start.
Love me now kiss me there touch me how dance with me…
Dance with me tonight we see the starry night.
Dance with me Dance with me I want to make you mine.
This hour, this minute, this second I give my soul to you.
Dance with me hold me tight.
I want to dance with you I want to see you through.
Kiss you forever.

Dance Between Two Women
Thank you for the flowers you brought me today
And thank you for the kindness you showed me today
No love can be stronger than between two strong women
No man can ever know the dance between two women
We can dance... my lady... may I have this dance?
Thank you for the wisdom the knowing from inside
And thank you for the comfort only a woman can provide
No man can ever know the dance between two women
Love cant be stronger than between two strong women
We can dance... my lady... may I have this dance?
Thank you for the strength without a need for power
And thank you for the rhythym, the sacred circle
Love cant be stronger than between two strong women
No man can ever know the dance between two women
Like you and i

Transmission
Radio, live transmission.
Radio, live transmission.
Listen to the silence, let it ring on.
Eyes, dark grey lenses frightened of the sun.
We would have a fine time living in the night,
Left to blind destruction,
Waiting for our sight.
And we would go on as though nothing was wrong.
And hide from these days we remained all alone.
Staying in the same place, just staying out the time.
Touching from a distance,
Further all the time.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Well I could call out when the going gets tough.
The things that we've learnt are no longer enough.
of the show
And we could dance.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio.
