You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.

The Subconscious Shield
Inside of each of us,
Is our own protective defense.
Providing protection from hurt (and truth) ,
By means of isolation and separation,
From others, that we deep down,
Know will only cause us pain.
So should I fight my own shield?
Why do I need to be protected,
From one whom I truly love?
They say, sometimes the hardest battle,
Is within yourself.
So how do you fight when your against yourself?
What weapon do I use to combat myself?
Isolation and separation of course
But not people, instead form these thoughts and my mind
Distractions and illusions are my weapon of choice
In this war of mine
There is no way to study the battle
When you're what the battle is raging for
So who will win in a battle of clashing shields?

You Gotta Fight (For What You Want)
Little girl in these changing times
You got to move on or left behind
Every day is a battle again
And the state of future looks so damned
... ... allright
And if you get it right
...
...
...
Well you just got to fight for what you want
You got to fight for what you want 2x
For what you want
...
Every guide (or better guy? ) leaves you so confused
... which way to turn
...
Oh yeah ...
All night ...
... ... with that stone
Remember that
You got to fight for what you want 3x
For what you want
...
Got to fight for what you want
You got to fight for what you want

Every soldier must know, before he goes into battle, how the little battle he is to fight fits into the larger picture, and how the success of his fighting will influence the battle as a whole.

When my time comes again
When my time comes again
I will not fight it anymore
For I am too weak to carry on the battle.
When my time comes again
I will surrender.
My cold pale, heart cannot take such endoors
I am too weak to fight such a hatred battle.
And I am getting weaker by the second
Soon my time will come again
I shall not fight no more

A Courageous Battle
A courageous battle is being fought
By so many people today.
They've been stricken down with sickness
That has come their way.
Whether it's in the mind or body
It takes away their peace..
It's with them constantly, never ending
Until the pain does cease.
Those that are older seem to accept it
Better than the young.
And when it's a child, they are the strongest
For they seem to have hung
Their battle for life on a clothesline
Flowing with the breeze,
Never fearing the unknown at all
Facing their battle with ease.
This battle for life seems futile at times
But still we fight anyhow.
For that's the spirit of humanity at work
In its battle before its bow.

Life Is A Battle Within
O wild and cruel hatred
fleeing the battle inside my head
i was brought up
to be put down
i was found to be pushed around
let us take a toast
to the passing of a ghost
let us drink our viens red
till we have forgotten the battle we fight in our head
rise against the hypocracy
rage against the system
fight for crazy
and make life listen
make it see your not so stale
prove to people you are not frail
do we know the battle
understand what it is
while we are all locked in shackles
trying to figure out why we live
Seasons
One heart can make a difference
One choice can change it all
One voice can travel the distance
And be heard all around the world
Would you make a sacrifice
If you knew that it was right?
Well the answers there if you look inside
Will you run and hide or will you fight the fight?
Cause there's a power inside you
And there's a battle to be won
And every victory has a beginning
The way it always has begun
With the power of one
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
One day, you'll realize it
That one hope is all you need
One dream that we can all share
One dream we all believe
And we will make that sacrifice
Just becasue we know it's right
And we will face the answer that's there inside
We won't run and hide
We're gonna fight the fight
There's a power inside you (inside you)
There's a battle to be won (be won, be won)
Every victory has a beginning
The way it always has begun
With the power of one
With the power of one
Yeah
We'll look inside
We won't run and hide
No, we'll fight the fight
There's a power inside you (can you feel the power,
can you feel it, feel it)
There's a battle to be one (battle to be won)
Every victory has a beginning
The way it always has begun
With the power of one

Fighting a losing battle
I'm fighting a losing battle
Of one Im not to win.
Deprresion depression#
And other lifes troubles.
This battle one day soon
I shall lose
I shall give up the fight
The battle I am losing
I may as well give in
And accept my fate
Now suicide shall take me
Take me out of this world

Soldier
The soldier, he has many battle scars.
But there's only a few, others can see.
The wounds, they did not kill him,
They made him who he was called to be.
Although some of his battles were easy,
Through each of his battles he died.
The pieces, which were his true enemy.
Were the pieces that did not survive.
When the soldier, he goes into battle,
He must know who his enemies are.
They are the ones that would harm another,
And make the soldier, seem like he, was the star.
It is only once you discover the enemy,
The march to victory, then can begin.
For the war that the soldier is fighting.
Is the battle he fights from within.
In each of us there is a soldier.
And each day, we fight the good fight.
For the ones who walk into victory,
Are the ones who find their true light.

Fight
Sometimes there's nothing to feel
Sometimes there's nothing to hold
Sometimes there's no time to run away
Sometimes you just feel so old
The times it hurts when you cry
The times it hurts just to breathe
And then it all seems like there's no-one left
And all you want is to sleep
Fight fight fight
Just push it away
Fight fight fight
Just push until it breaks
Fight fight fight
Don't cry at the pain
Fight fight fight
Or watch yourself burn again
Fight fight fight
Don't howl like a dog
Fight fight
Just fill up the sky
Fight fight fight
Fight til you drop
Fight fight fight
And never never
Never stop
Fight fight fight
Fight fight fight
So when the hurting starts
And when the nightmares begin
Remember you can fill up the sky
You don't have to give in
You don't have to give in
Never give in
Never give in
Never give in

The great Chinese classics have always said that it's better not to fight; that the clever man achieves his ends without violence; that a battle delayed is better than a battle fought.

The Gash
Is that gash in your leg
Really why you have stopped?
?Cause I've noticed all the others
Though they're gashed, they're still going
?Cause I feel like the real reason
That you're quitting, that you're admitting
That you've lost all the will to battle on
Will the fight for our sanity
Be the fight of our lives?
Now that we've lost all the reasons
That we thought that we had
Still the battle that we're in
Rages on till the end
With explosions, wounds are open
Sights and smells, eyes and noses
But the thought that went unspoken
Was understanding that you're broken
Still the last volunteer battles on
Battles on
Battles on

One Heart
One heart

One day
Youll realize that and one heart is all you need.
One dream that we can all share.
One dream we all believe.
And well make that sacrifice.
Just because we know its right.
And well face the answers
Thats buried inside.
We wont run and hide.
We gonna fight the fight.
Theres a power inside you.
Theres a battle to be won.
Every victory has a beginning.
The way it always has begun.
With the power of one.
With the power of one.
Yeeeeeaaaaah
Well look inside.
We wont run and hide.
No, well find the fight.
Theres a power inside you.
Theres a battle to be won.

The Battle Is The Lords
Written by michael mckay
There is no pain jesus cant feel
No hurt he can not heal
All things work according to his perfect will
No matter what youre going through
Remember God is using you
For the battle is not yours
Its the lords
Theres no sadness jesus cant feel
And there is no sorrow
That he can not heal
For all things work
According to the masters holy will
No matter what youre going through
Remember that God is only using you
For the battle is not yours
Its the lords
Its the lords
Yes its the lords
Hold your head up high
Dont you fright
Its the lords
Its the lords
Yes its the lords
No matter what
Youre going through
Remember that god
Only wants to use you
For the battle is not yours
Its the lords
No matter what
You happen to go through right now
Remember that in the midst of it all
God only wants to use you
No matter what youre going through
For the battle is not yours
Its the lords
No matter what it is
That youre going through
Hold your head up, stick your chest out
And remember hes using you
No matter what youre going through
God is only using you
For this battle is not yours alone
This battle is not yours, no
You can not handle it all by yourself
No, no, no, no, no, no
Its not yours
This battle is not yours
Its the lords, not yours
This battle is not yours
The lord is the only one who can fight it
He wants to use you as his vessel
So be open to him
Its not yours
No its not yours
Its the lords, not yours
The battle is not yours
Its the lords
Hallelujah
Yeah!

We must fight and win the battle against terror overseas so we never have to fight it here at home.
To be nobody but yourself, in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else, means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.
