A Courageous Battle
A courageous battle is being fought
By so many people today.
They've been stricken down with sickness
That has come their way.
Whether it's in the mind or body
It takes away their peace..
It's with them constantly, never ending
Until the pain does cease.
Those that are older seem to accept it
Better than the young.
And when it's a child, they are the strongest
For they seem to have hung
Their battle for life on a clothesline
Flowing with the breeze,
Never fearing the unknown at all
Facing their battle with ease.
This battle for life seems futile at times
But still we fight anyhow.
For that's the spirit of humanity at work

Fighting Through Life
losing patience with life,
can't handle things that are not working,
feeling frustrated every step of the way,
how do you deal?
when stuff not going your way?
i would say life just $uck$,
but that would be too easy,
life is hard,
i'm tiried of fighting through it,
it's a uphill battle,
that i seem to be losing,
don't know why?
maybe because along the way,
i gave up a fight,
i want nothing to do with,
would you agree?
life is never what it seems,
i guess only in dreams,
but fighting for what you want,
is just not that easy,
everybody strive for that peace in life,
when would the hell would i get mine! !

I'm fighting a losing battle here: I'm trying to lose some weight. I love chocolate; that's one of my biggest downfalls. I haven't gotten a whole lot of chocolate, thank goodness, because I'd probably be about 300 pounds.

My world is falling apart and i can't stop it
i just want to hide,
i don't want to face the world,
it feels like it too much,
i'm slowly slipping,
and it like nobody catching me,
i'm losing my grip,
i just want out,
i want to numb the pain,
but i know that not the answer,
i want to scream,
but it no sound comes out,
i put on a front,
like everything okay,
but inside i am falling apart,
losing all control,
i don't know where it will stop,
i feel sick,
i feel like i'm losing control,
and i must find a way to hold onto it,
nothing is easy,
but if i open up,
than i'm weak,
if i give in,
than i want attention,
it just never seem to end,
i'm hurting inside,
and i don't know how to deal,
it like i don't have permission,
permission to feel the pain,
i'm not surpose to be 'that girl'

The Subconscious Shield
Inside of each of us,
Is our own protective defense.
Providing protection from hurt (and truth) ,
By means of isolation and separation,
From others, that we deep down,
Know will only cause us pain.
So should I fight my own shield?
Why do I need to be protected,
From one whom I truly love?
They say, sometimes the hardest battle,
Is within yourself.
So how do you fight when your against yourself?
What weapon do I use to combat myself?
Isolation and separation of course
But not people, instead form these thoughts and my mind
Distractions and illusions are my weapon of choice

Soldier
The soldier, he has many battle scars.
But there's only a few, others can see.
The wounds, they did not kill him,
They made him who he was called to be.
Although some of his battles were easy,
Through each of his battles he died.
The pieces, which were his true enemy.
Were the pieces that did not survive.
When the soldier, he goes into battle,
He must know who his enemies are.
They are the ones that would harm another,
And make the soldier, seem like he, was the star.
It is only once you discover the enemy,
The march to victory, then can begin.
For the war that the soldier is fighting.

In each of us there is a soldier.

The Danger Of Depression
Be not depressed. Depression, is the thief of happiness.
Like all thieves', he must be combated and defeated.
Like all thieves', depression must be fought with great
vigor and resolve.
Depression, the dark cloak of reason, that blocks most
rational thought and any chance of happiness.
Depression, an emotional straight jacket, confining the
depressed to an infusion of negativity and haplessness.
Depression, withdrawal of social
interaction and an elongated state of sadness.
Depression, a disease that like a
cancer, eats away at your very being.
Depression, a desperate battle between
living...and merely existing.
Depression, an enemy, that one must seek help
to do battle with.
Do not stand ideally by, for depression,
will steal your very soul.
The enemies of depression, are social
interaction, happiness, love, understanding
and seeking medication or help in some form.
