The Golden Hour
Only time will tell when my cross
joins the thousands upon the side of this road
I've traveled a thousand times before
and a tousand more will follow
for tomorrow does not exist.
Rain upon my back is nothing
but a track to set thoughts into motion.
The kind of motion that steps in time and place
yet with a pace killing heart beats and silent speaks.
Black marks upon ourselves
we roll with thunderous hellhounds on our tails.
Forward is the only notion needed when
Death beats at the door with a
house warming gift fit for a losing king.
Those lost,
who had their youthful loom snipped
by the three shrews of fate;
their final hour dressed in thoughts of lavender
or gal,
now hangs in the form of a tear on the cheeks of loved ones
who won't accept the setting of another sun.
These White Crosses,
a sea of White Crosses,
a living testimony
of the dead in our wake.
May their names be writ in stone upon
our memories and live on until we too
join their elegy.

Hidden by walls
Hidden from fear, quiet beats quiet yells!
Beats like betrayal, beats like confusion! Back and forth inside my head.
It wonders and wonders and finally opens.
You laugh and say no words no thoughts no kindness comes out! Questions and questions no answers at all. Lie after lie bring the walls up! Water fluids burns like acid rain! Another Year Has Gone By
Today’s pleasures have no motion
Life’s delights are lacking emotion
The air is still…there is no flow
Each minute of time awkwardly slows
I have no appetite for my favorite food
Emptiness invades my uncertain mood
Performances that entertained now bore
A silent presence opens a closed door
Three years ago, on this date…time stopped

White Crosses
Well I packed all of my things into this blanket
To call this year to earn coyotes fill
Kiss my wife and kids goodbye choke back the quiver in my breath
And took my first steps into this corridor of death
If Im lucky I will make it to a drain
With 500 of my brothers, I would share the strain
Of standing in this boxcar praying for rain
Its the only the way we will quench our thirst

Spackling
While there are many roads
I have traveled
and random ones
where I had no control;
who I travel with
is one decision
I did have some say with.
Even as I have been swept
ahead unpredictability
I have held your hand
with which to steady myself with.
So much of life
I now realize
is not the road you take
but who you travel with.

through
tumult and stickering
held my hand tight
and always
loved me
sometimes more
that I was able
to muster
for myself.
So if my courage faltered

Smile as a brand new day approaches o'er the horizon the and one by one the stars in the sky slowly fade to nothing and the once black sky replaced by white clouds and bluer skies as young hearts beats wiiild and full of passion in these eyes in your eyes looks of beauty and sweetness as seconds tick away and the rest of an hours go by like the soft winds as birds fly by that sun rises getting bri

Black and White (Stream XV)
I have black thoughts,
It is a black day,
A day when the black dog
Coal black, hovers at my shoulder.
I shoulder the burden.
Deep in the black hole.
Black as a black hearted night.
Negative.
Stark.
Black and white.
I do not call my good days white days.
Why?
Or have white thoughts
On a white day,
When the white dog
Pure white sits upon my shoulder.
Which is unburdened.
Out of the pit,
Luxuriating in the bright white light;
White as the purest snow.
Positive.
For we live in a too white world
Maybe we should have grey days,
And light days.
Why should Black be negative and White poitive?
For me then, today is a grey day.
Maybe tomorrow will be a light day.

Stage Three
no one enters the house using the door.
The doors close without the use of hinges and locks.
The living room is turned upside down.
The traces of my steps are a myriad labyrinths of
puzzles, cross, crescent, moon, sun, stars, and
dead leaves just below the body of a rotting log.
Log on. Say some more. This is freedom.
The railings are roses. The stairs are rivers.
The walls are faces of the one you make love.
The roofs are ideas. Theories live there and metaphors
Abound in the living room.There is an old piano and you
Begin to play: Vienna woods. You dance the waltz with her.
Whispers mossy on the carpets. The toilet is kept empty
And shiny white tiles, glossy to the feel of your fingers.
The bedroom is bare. You too complete the picture.
An hour of sex. Gracious! This house is the most beautiful
House of our neighborhood.
It is not our home yet. Tomorrow we unpack.
The distance is our journey. And it is somewhere else
With someone you still love. It is not I.

Th' White, Stone Crosses O' Donnegal
The today's begin- as the yesterday's,
frosted dew from th' nights cold mist
blanketing acres of serrate damp soil,
grassblades wear th' sun on their tips,
a peacefully warm white burst o' light,
perhaps, Mother Natures kinder side,
accomodations for they dwelling here,
boxed below th' sod, forever sleeping-
th' many souls of unfinished business,
far-long beyond injustice an' sacrifice,
taken young, for love of country, and-
buried in a sea of white stone crosses;
real names attached to dates and war,
the dates not nearly far enough apart,
an' their stories..... would pale a ghost.
'n, from th' Lowlands to th' Highlands,
past th' scarlett shores.....of Donnegal,
there be scant sod, for the future dead
as th' green turf, lo, has turned to sage
from th' souls asleep, numbered large;
th' red nascent sunset eclipsing arches,
shadows creep, gradually....hauntingly
o'er th' etchings.... of each white Cross
An' we visit.....lay down a silent prayer
that peace be found...within this yard
keep mem'ries warm in their eversleep
