St. Maleu sequence

Saint Maleu Sequence
I.
Once we were all tourists
seeking on foot,
by horse or boat,
by plane and camera,
some other place -
by book, museum, library,
some other time.
But now “Was it Portugal or Ponsonby? ”
we ask. “Is everything on tape? ”

I too once wandered everywhere,
by foot and thought,
in marriage and in war,
searching for other minds
and freedom from my own.
One thing only I have learned,
kneeling inhuman on and on,
hearing the soft lament
that others left for me,
at Gavrinis,
among its dreaming fingerprints
carved 5,000 years ago -
to raise this tiny index,
regard its intricate design
and ask it write a single line
to touch a silent lip
5,000 years from now.

II.
Think no more, dear mind;
the dissected brain has lost your delicate design
somewhere along its neural paths.
I loved you so for winning Plato’s praise.
But now I rise towards the Druid’s angel frame,
where your sweet categories fade and merge
into that One, through which the senses float,
receptacles of others’ dreams,
to touch the unreasoned truth,
man’s greater heritage.

III.
Where is cruelty: a bacchic diptych

Indiscriminate
Eva’s maenad dance demands
real man her lunar due.
In what dark human enthymeme
do we become her bestial sacrifice?
To satisfy her need last Adam
goose-stepped these steps before.
Carve no more his cruel glyphs
upon my disabled wrist.
The oven door swings free to Calvary,
the tortured body drifts as wraith
within the unremembering night,
to dream in the infinite stillness of death
lie shattered the knife of her desire.

No.
THERE is cruelty,
where
indiscriminate
the crashing sea demands the rock her lunar due.
In what slow dying enthymeme
do I become undeduced
the unchained sacrament?
His son was made to climb this rock before.
Its summit door swings free
beyond Calvary’s
tortured flesh
victorious
(Euoi! Euoi! The slain goat’s cry.)
man, as God,
beneath the entombed night
floods in the the light:
in the infinite stillness of love
lies shattered
the sword of human will.

Saint-Maleu

IV.
Paul’s Rule of Thumb
(Epistle to the Ephesians, ch.5)

Husband and wife, Christ and his church -
no simile or vision that, a mystery indeed
but of a busy Zionist, protecting from Gentiles
and false messiahs soil proclaimed holy
sometime, somewhere, by some poet,
now converted to a church in need of social
rules by men like him to tell men what to do.
And yet from it we learn the sacrament of married life.

No God the fatherless and celibate girl child’s dream son,
conceived in an empty temple when the usurers went home,
raised by a carpenter, a good man, Joseph,
all like you and me, all guided by and to the Christ.
I should not mistake my role, Paul’s rule of thumb,
nor make myself God’s lonely representative,
mocked and cheated by pubescent glands in flower.

Oh to learn the patience that forgave
Peter’s abnegation, Mary’s wide embrace,
Judas’ capital, John’s passion for a smile,
to understand the animal response
and thieving weka’s love of gold,
to make redemption no hard thing
and pardon no act of arrogance,
but to give inspiration a gentle breeze
and stand unshaken by the noisy waves,
asking a little service when the meat is raw,
aware crucifixion is no lasting thing
and faithlessness no token of lost faith.

V.
Saint Maleu

Some cottage in an empty field,
no special place, some cows,
a little palace in the empty woods,
a chapel too dark for aught but candles,
a rivulet en route to make a Breton port,
some barking dogs, the stench of milk
sheds in the flush of autumn rains:
a place to talk to God, alone.

Ramdas Choi Chang Poems 2

Isn't it perfect to think everyone is perfect,
Everyone is perfectly fit
to their own place!
The Great Engineer know which spare can fit,
How to fit
where to fit,
that perfect Engineer perfectly fits everything to His own purpose!

Poem2
Whoever we meet, may not be perfect,
Who ever is perfect,
We may never meet,
Life is that strange thing,
Only imperfect can fit into it,
Whether may it be one or any one around!

Poem3

A flower that looks perfect,
Insects surround it and spoil it,
Below that the frogs wait,
And snake can safely find its food there,
Even the eagle has an eye on perfect flower,
Where it can get some thing to eat!

So, is the story of perfected saint,
Some come to him for their own purpose,
Some start service and service turns to business,
And a saint can be food for thought,
Or he may be source or inspiration to worldly man's business!

Poem4

Men wants to praise,
Woman wants to be praised,
so many write on love,
But no one yet met one's perfect love,
As perfect love is that warmth,
All are dolls made of ice,
And can only melt and flow into lap of love!

Poem5
Nothing is perfect,
No one is perfect,
Everyone can be perfect,
until one continues with a perfect thought that he himself only is imperfect,
As perfection is aim and only aim of all!

Poem6

Infinite particles infinite space,
Infinite time,
and infinite
Thoughts,

I can't find the infinite any where than in me,
When that ant climb on my legs,
Ant came to may ears and said, 'on the tip of my legs infinite bacteria lies '
Bacteria about virus and so on..
I learnt that every thing is relativistic,
Even me and my death are close relatives!

The Seven Golden Lamps***D

I. The CANDLESTICKS.
It is not so much to the light
as to the utensil or stand
for holding it that his attention is turned;
for the light of these lamps
is not from themselves,
or from any earthly source,

But from Him who is 'the light of the world,
' and who said to His disciples
as His representatives here,
'You are the light of the world.'
'Among whom you shine
as lights in the world' (Philippians 1: 15) ,

Says Paul, adding, 'holding forth the word of life.'
The individual saint is a 'light;
' a Church is a 'light holder' or 'lamp stand.
' The saint personally,
and the Church or body of saints,
is placed 'in the midst of a crooked
and perverse nation, ' and, like
'the word of prophecy' (2 Peter 1: 19) ,
'shines as a light in a dark place,
until the day dawn and the day-star arise.'

Israel, for ages, was the world's
only light—a light confined within
narrow boundaries—not diffused
over earth, nor set upon a hill.
Of this the one seven-branched
candlestick in the tabernacle
and temple was the symbol.

That lamp stand was doubly
shut in—first, by the outer curtain,
or wall of the house; and, secondly,
by the inner curtain, or wall of the holy place.
But these curtains have been
torn in pieces, these walls thrown down;
and now that lamp stands in uncurtained,
unhidden splendor, shining out over all the world.

Take the lamp as meaning,
in the first place, CHRIST Himself,
the light of Israel, and of the world.
This is true. He was 'a light to enlighten
the Gentiles; ' 'His life was the light of men.
' Take it again as meaning ISRAEL,
who was so long earth's only light.
This is true; for Israel, when her
exclusive privileges passed away,
gave forth her light around.

Take it as meaning the CHURCH,
or Churches, or saints of God.
This is also true—they shine out
as lights over all the world—not over
Israel's valleys and hills alone,
or her cities and villages,
but over all earth's wide expanse,
over all kindred's, and nations,
and tongues, and peoples.

Christ is the world's light;
the church is the world's light;
each saint is the light of the circle
where he dwells and where he moves.

For God So Loved The World

For God so loved the world He gave
His one and only Son,
His Holy Child who was so brave
He did what must be done...
He gave His life, His final breath
That He might be our King...
Behold Jesus of Nazareth,
To us, He's everything!
The God who made the Universe
Can hear us, none ignored
And spare us from Man's sinful curse
By Jesus Christ, the Lord...
For who else died to rescue us,
So many years ago?
He blesses us and lives though us,
If we let His love flow...

God calls us from the Devil's rule,
So we are born again,
To cast away the inner fool
That taunts us now and then...
Forsaking feelings, Christians live,
Past doubts of every kind,
Deciding we can not forgive,
But God helps change our mind...
God's plans for us are Heaven-bound,
Not finished here on Earth,
Where every demon thought is found
And proved to hold no worth...
Did Jesus brave the Cross of Christ,
So we could all be rich?
The Lamb of God was sacrificed,
To grant Mankind God's bridge!

Saint Paul believed God had a plan,
He preached from house-to-house,
In service to his fellow man,
His children and his spouse...
When whipped like Jesus Christ before,
Saint Paul still carried on.
Awaiting miracles in store,
Until his life was gone...
The Church continues to this day,
Blessed by the words Paul wrote,
Because in faith, with much to say,
He shared God's antidote...
The poor, the weak, the frail, the sad,
The lost and lonely, too,
Have found by faith they can be glad
And so, dear friend, can you.

But gladness comes as but a gift,
Something we have not earned,
So as it comes, look up and lift
Your arms with hopes still yearned,
Then pray for others, if you would,
To grant them God's relief,
So that they, too, learn God is good
And turn from disbelief...
For God so loved the world He gave
His one and only Son,
His Holy Child who was so brave
He did what must be done...
He gave His life, His final breath
That He might be our King...
Behold Jesus of Nazareth,
To us, He's everything!

Empty time, empty place. Empty heart, empty space.

Empty time, empty place.
Empty heart, empty space.
Give a little, fight a war
Take a lot, there is more.

Left to die, all alone.
Blackened sins to atone.
In a place by a stream,
in a dark, empty dream.

In a room candles glow.
Truth prevails if you know.
Something sweet and something blue.
Something with a natural hue.

Here And Now

As the light continues to go out, we need to be vigilant, not pout,
Or get angry about a dark time, as this isn’t for us, God’s design,
For that window soon may close, for God to use those He chose,
As God’s Light to pierce the dark, or used by Him as just a spark.

That spark that others may need, when The Truth is what we heed,
Letting the Spirit to channel concern, while others listen and learn,
To The Truth, God has taught us, as His Spirit we follow and trust,
Living our days solely for Him, as His Light in the darkness of sin.

There is plenty to get angry about, but, The Truth we must get out,
While things get darker my friend, for we are approaching the end,
The end of the time we live in, to share the Truth we’ve been given,
Being Christ’s Light of this world, His Truth is what we must herald.

Not man’s empty ways anymore, but, Truth that leads to The Door,
With that Door being Jesus Christ, Who offers all men Eternal Life,
Where darkness won’t have a part, when from this earth we depart,
To reign forever with the only King, who rules far above everything.

So as dark men seem to prevail, it’s The Eternal King, who we hail,
Who will cause darkness to cease, as He brings us Eternal Peace,
And our only duty here and now, isn’t to know every why and how,
But, point lost men to the place, so God’s Truth they too embrace.

End Of A Dream

Dream.....
End of a dream.....
Where do you stand
at the end of
a dream..

All is behind; 'round in your
head
Splinters of sound, words that
were said;

Broken like toys, days that were
planned
Gone into mist, sunk into sand

There's no place to stand
At the end of a dream.....

End.....
End of a dream.....

Where do you go

At the end of a dream.....

Where is another way
where on this earth
Some thing of value
some thing of worth

A burned over land
Blackened by fire

No eager glee now
No hearts desire.....

END OF A DREAM

There's no place to go
At the end of a dream.....

End.....
End of a dream.....
What do you do

At the end of a dream....

Nothings ahead now.....
Something like lead

Lies where your heart lay:
Something is dead.....

An empty glass......to turn in
the hand
Wine is no more now,
you can't understand.....

There's nothing to do
At the end of a dream.....

Dream.....
End of a dream......
What do you learn
at the end of a dream.....

There's some little glow; more
than you know
Something that someday will
burst into flame

Flame into joy......
you'll understand

Green trees will grow again on
burnt-over land.....

END OF A DREAM

There's something to learn
at the of a dream....

End of a dream....
End of a dream.....

There's something to learn

If Only More

If only more people could see, Jesus Christ, and be set free,
Of all that bondage they’re in; the dark chains caused by sin;
Or freed from bonds of religion, for that way causes derision,
As freedom is in Christ alone, declared to all from His Throne.

If only more will see His Truth, and by faith, avoid His reproof,
God’s Judgment on this world, that wrath His prophets herald,
Wrath only avoided through Christ, who, for men gave His life,
When He was God’s Sacrifice, to pay in full, sin’s eternal price.

If only more could understand, all The Truth on which we stand,
Truth not built on man’s theology, but, on the Blood of Calvary,
Blood that flowed from the Rock, not of earth but eternal stock,
The Rock not cut by human hands, on which one falls or stands.

If only more could see the need, to share Truths, which we read,
In God’s Holy, Eternal Word, Truth, many may have never heard,
And it’s the believer’s obligation, to point all to God’s Salvation,
Being sent by Christ to proclaim, Salvation in our Savior’s Name.

Then more would truly be free, not just now, but through Eternity,
When through Truth they believe, and eternal life they will receive,
Then, they’d understand by faith, God’s Salvation is all of Grace,
Then they could join in with us, to point the world to Christ Jesus.

It Has Come To The Time (Chiasmus)

It has come to the time
where everyone that follows Jesus Christ
must ask not
what can my faith, my church,
God do for me;
rather must ask what I can do as a follower
of Jesus Christ
for my faith, my church,
in service of Jesus Christ?

Where we must not only ask
where can I make a contribution
to them who are poor and unemployed,
but by our goodwill give food,
clothes and encouragement
to those who are poor and unemployed.

It has come to the time and place where Jesus Christ
must be the centre point of my life,
where I as a mere human being
must have Jesus Christ as the centre of everything.

This is the time where we
as followers of Jesus Christ
and of every good thing
not only must praise
integrity, honesty and sincerity as a way of life
and follow those whose lives are indicating to Him
like the compass to the pole,
like the pastor,
but where we in our own lives,
we must come to the full right,
where we as men and women must stand firmly
to that which is right, which is honest and good
like the compass needle to the pole
and by ourselves indicate the way
to Jesus Christ.

Church

The Church is Church my brother, a place to meet with one another,
A place to meet with our Lord, where grace and mercy are implored,
That place for worship and praise, lifted up to The Ancient of Days,
Men gathering, to bring glory to, The One Who created me and you.

Church is a body of those, who know, The Lord and desire to grow,
In the knowledge of Christ our Lord, as Christ's Body in one accord,
A place to encourage others in Christ, while living in this present life,
Support, that we can only receive, from men in life who also believe.

Church is more than a gathering, of men together to praise and sing,
As it's a place to seek The Lord, who, by love makes us one accord,
As believers are in the presence of, Jesus Christ, Who reigns above,
As Christ builds us together in unity, through the power from Calvary.

The local Church is the very heart, of The Savior's mission, to impart,
The very Truth of God's Salvation, in reaching each and every nation,
The Lord scattered His early Church, for His mission of greater worth,
So that as His Church, we could herald, God's Truth into all the world.

Today's Mission, is still the same, when Believers gather in His Name,
To focus upon our Lord God first, while The Savior builds His Church,
As The Lord grants direction to, His Living Stones, that's me and you,
To finish God's purpose, through us, all, for the glory of Christ Jesus.

That Old Rugged Cross

That cross so simple in design, spans throughout all of time.
As simple as that cross may be, it reaches well into eternity.
A wooden beam upon a tree, lifted high on Mount Calvary.
For all the saints of the past, it capped a hope that will last.
As that hope they waited for, was fulfilled through our Lord.

For the saints of latter years, it would conquer all our fears,
As death was swallowed in victory, on that cross at Calvary.
Today the cross of Jesus Christ, can grant victory to any life.
From that single horrific place, God began this age of Grace.
While many were dismayed, the Love of God was displayed.

By God, Christ was shunned, as wrath was sent on His Son.
Wrath meant for you and me, which was poured at Calvary.
God’s own Son bearing disgrace; a sinless lamb in our place.
In agony Christ was seized, until God’s anger was appeased,
As Christ paid the ultimate price, becoming for all a sacrifice.

He died and bled on the cross, washing away our sinful dross.
The sinless man bearing the cost, to bring to God, sinners lost.
And all who come to Jesus Christ, by the cross gain New Life,
As that bloody cross of Calvary, leads all men towards Eternity.
That rugged, yet simple design, has truly stood the test of time.

The Sacrament

I hear you breathe so far from me
I feel your touch so close and real
And I know
My church is not of silver and gold,
Its glory lies beyond judgement of souls
The commandments are of consolation oh
You know our sacred dream wont fail
The sanctuary tender and so frail
The sacrament of love
The sacrament of warmth is true
The sacrament is you
I hear you weep so far from me
I taste your tears like youre next to me
And I know
That our prayers are not enough to give
Oh the ancient runes so deep and so dear
The revelation is our patron fear
You know our sacred dream wont fail
The sanctuary tender and so frail
The sacrament of love

Love Not Judge

The Lord wants not to judge us; God simply desires to love us.
He sent His Son for you and me, to a bloody hill called Calvary.
God had sent Jesus to that cross, for sinful men who were lost,
Where Jesus Christ died for all, taking the judgment for our fall.

He wants not to take your life, but give you one in Jesus Christ,
Who didn’t come to punish you, but to give you a life that’s new.
The reason why Christ was sent, was to receive our punishment.
On the cross Christ’s punishment, was in place of our judgment.

The Lord above is a Loving God, but His justice demands a rod,
One against the darkness of sin, and all enemies opposing Him.
Christ left His Eternal Light, to oppose the darkness of the night.
Christ had died for you and me, for us to live with God eternally.

It was God who loved us first, and in Christ offered us New Birth,
When we were but sinful dust, He had sent His Son to die for us.
And through His Son Jesus Christ, sinners go from death to life,
For at the time that God sent Him, we were still dead in our sin.

God will save you from all your sin, if you will only let Christ in,
If you let Christ into your heart, you will have a brand new start.
Then you will not fear His Rod, when you make Him your God,
You will instead reign with Him, when He judges death and sin.

Searching For a Church?

After your long and weary search, have you found the perfect church?
A simple church ruled by men; the perfect church you can’t condemn.
Or do they all appear the same, just another building with His Name?
And once inside you’re not sure, if you feel the presence of The Lord.

There’s only one true Church of God, upon this earth that all men trod.
That is The Church of Jesus Christ, and bought by Jesus, with His life.
God’s Church has no denomination, for in Christ is only one Salvation.
His Church has no walls my friend; it has a beginning but has no end.

Christ’s Church began at Pentecost, not for the righteous, but the lost.
His Church is made of sinful men, whom by God were all condemned.
But redeemed with a special price, when His Son became a sacrifice.
Then dipped into a cleansing flood; sinners purified by Christ’s Blood.

Are you looking to men to find, God’s forgiveness and peace of mind?
My friend, are you truly not that sure, where you can go to be secure?
Christ’s first Church had no steeple, and was filled with humble people.
Humble people who gave their life, to reach the world for Jesus Christ.

If you’re still searching for a church, you should end your weary search.
The Church is men like you and me, saved by Christ’s work on Calvary.
Nothing’s been added to the cross, except sinners who once were lost,
Since, they’ve entered in The Door, and now belong to Christ The Lord.

From History We've Not Learned

Men crucified the one millions now worship more than two thousand years ago
Yet many men they are as cruel today and any compassion towards others they never seem to show
And the gifts of compassion and empathy to the special few belong
And many far too many seemingly cannot tell right from wrong
Two thousand and seven years ago Jesus Christ was crucified
And nailed to a timber cross on Calvary slowly and painfully he died
Yet we have not learned from human history and it does seem sad to say
That nowadays many decent people die in the foulest way,
The war supposed to end all wars did not live up to it's tag
Young people dying in war zones every day for God and Land and Flag
Before we learn the lesson of history how many more must die
War men mock the sacredness of human life and many wars based on a lie
It has been more than two thousand years since Christ died on Calvary
And from history we've not learned a thing that's how 'twould seem to be.

St. Peter Julian Eymard, ‘The Apostle of the Eucharist’

Founder, Societas Sanctissimi Sacramenti (SSS)
And Third Order of Mary (Feb 4,1811- Aug 1,1868)

The saint exhorted:

‘Go set the world afire,
For love of Eucharist!
Adore the Lord Jesus
In the Blessed Sacrament.’

‘Glorify God always;
Let Eucharist reign world;
Go often to Jesus,
Alive in Eucharist.’

‘The Holy Eucharist
Is the fountain of life;
Receive the Lord Jesus,
Often into your heart! ’

The cross appeared before mind’s eyes,
And beckoned him to follow it;
‘Give up all worldly, carnal ties, ’
Said Jesus Christ. ‘Follow, grace-lit! ’

The call was loud and clarion;
The Lord had plans for Julian;
There was never much confusion;
God gave him divine fore-vision!

The teenager from country France
Was born when dawned art, music, dance;
His poor physique and poverty,
Delayed life in Seminary.

He tried again when twenty-three,
And was ordained a priest at last;
For the Grenoble Diocese;
His service done became too vast.

Eymard believed in confession,
Repentance and reparation;
This was the soul’s preparation,
For a life of Lord’s adoration.

The spirit grows stronger in Christ,
With frequent communion athirst;
The Marist years made him good priest;
His love of Jesus never ceased.

He practiced vows of chastity,
Obedience and poverty;
His Eucharistic piety,
Engulfed the French Church freely.

Despite his poor physical health,
He grew in Lord Jesus Christ’s wealth.
His love of Christ seized upon him;
He gifted his whole self to Him!

‘The Apostle of the Eucharist’
Spread devotion to Jesus Christ;
To him, Jesus was always first –
That was why he became a priest.

‘O Sacrament, most Holy!
O Sacrament divine;
All praise and thanks-giving,
Be every moment, Thine! ’

The Book of Romans

Romans was written for us by Paul, as he would heed The Lord’s call,
To be a light to each Gentile nation, beaming light of God’s Salvation,
Romans, was from Paul an epistle, to show to the Romans God’s will.
Paul wrote about God’s Righteousness, far exceeding man’s holiness,
A righteousness that men receive, when in the Savior, we truly believe.

Paul had made a personal choice, and by obedience he would rejoice,
Choosing to be a servant to Him, our Lord who saved him from all sin,
Through the Spirit, he’d receive, a letter he wrote, for all who’d believe,
The Good News of God’s Gospel, was explained by Paul the Apostle,
So the epistle was written to all, for inspiration, as we heed God’s call.

Written to the early Roman Church, some, maybe on a spiritual search,
Even for those who Paul had heard, were living a new life in The Word.
A church that truly found their place, as believers in this Age of Grace,
Living for God, they all had grown, and their faith by many was known,
And that great change in their life, was understood, to be Jesus Christ.

Written for encouragement to us, who in Christ, have placed their trust,
Penned to strengthen our foundation, and our knowledge of Salvation.
A challenge meant for you and me, men saved at the Cross of Calvary,
To be like those believers of Rome, pointing others to an eternal home,
Reaching out until all have heard, the Gospel Truth, out of God’s Word.

Helping believers to be zealous for, The Lord, Who reigns forevermore,
Who came into this world of strife, to grant all who believe Eternal Life,
Equipping all of the saints of God, to live out their faith upon this sod,
Living out everything that we learn, while we await Jesus Christ’s return,
When He will change believers instantly, to live with their God Eternally.

Does His Love Show?

Is there one you may know, to whom God’s Love you can show?
It could be a friend or two, of who God’s Truth, they never knew.
Is there something you can do, to show how He loves them too?
Maybe you could share with one, a gentle truth about God’s Son.

Maybe God would have you share, in a way that shows you care,
By helping one in a special way, when having a very troubled day.
Maybe taking the time to sacrifice, this in the love of Jesus Christ.
Making the most of an opportunity, to show God’s love of Calvary.

Has Christ’s Love showed that day, changed your life in any way?
By filling you with Christ like love, that only comes from God above.
Christ sheds a love within a heart, love from God that won’t depart.
Are you using Christ’s love within, to love other men just like Him?

Do you think of the others first, even when they are at their worst?
Relying upon Christ’s love within, not hindered by the person’s sin.
Remember God loved me and you, when we were lost sinners too,
And yet Christ died on the cross, to save us when we still were lost.

Friend, will Christ’s love override, the natural feelings deep inside?
Instead of judging, love every day, that friend, in a Christ like way,
If you share Christ, in love and zeal, making Christ’s love very real,
Do you really think that anyone, would deny the love of God’s Son?

What Beauties?

Though I lament the passing years, what treasures have I left?
What vivid verse to soothe the fears of those who feel bereft?
For life's not sweet to all Mankind! Some feast while others starve!
And there are those whose souls are blind who seek no higher path!
What beauties and what dainty treats have I been privy to?
And what was told of noble feats that only angels knew?
What has God granted to these ears that others should be told?
Though I lament the passing years, at least God gave me gold!
I do not mean the kind that shines and sparkles like the sun!
I speak of wisdom that refines the soul in everyone...
I speak of light beyond this Earth, beyond the sun and stars!
I speak of truth that shows its worth, that cannot fade or pass!
This treasure fills the empty heart with faith that overflows!
This measure given can impart true beauty, like the rose!
This blessing surges like a storm to help you rise on high!
It cannot harm, deface, deform, disgrace or make you sigh!
It's like God's Spirit floated down from Heaven's Throne of Grace!
It's like He put a holy crown upon a human face!
It's like He said, 'I love you, child! Forgiveness, now, is yours! '
It's like all sin is reconciled and peace has stopped all wars!
This vision I extend today... and each new tomorrow...
By faith, what beauties come your way, overcome life's sorrow!
Yet not just yours, but others, too! Let God unfold His plan!
Each has a duty left to do: to help one's fellow man!
I once sought beauty just like wealth and only thought of me...
Then came the vision: Christ Himself was crowned... for Calvary!
If God's own Son must face His Fate, then we must claim our own...
Else none of us can celebrate what beauties can be known...
What angel hates the wings he bears? What angel hates to fly?
Yet wings help him ascend with prayers, for even poets cry...
Would that I could depart this realm, transported by Christ's love!
Though I am rooted like the elm, what beauties wait above!
