Reflections On Nine Eleven
Within me sits a fearful mass
that seems to grow each day.
Metallic flavors poise there, on
my tongue, and plan to stay.
A pensive, panicked atmosphere
pervades my waking hours,
and agonizing nightmares flaunt
those two dissolving towers.
This morbid anniversary plays
upon my stricken soul.
A worldwide situation whirls,
and spins out of control.
I try to dwell on lighter thoughts
to scatter dreams of doom,
but overwhelming details crowd
my brain, and leave no room
for pleasant thoughts and restful dreams.
Depression drives my days.
'Why bother' seems an apt response
to life and it’s clichés.
Are these the 'End Times' that we face.
Has man made God irate
by using Him to justify
our bigotry and hate.
I want a world where we can see
the diamonds in the rough,
a world of brotherhood and peace,
but wanting’s not enough.

I pick her up outside the station
She's telling me about her spring vacation
She's not leaving much to the imagination
She's giving me way too much information

The least that you can do for me
Is keep it to yourself
I'm so sorry I don't mean to shout
It's just that I can do without

And I say well maybe he's just not all that bright
She tells me it's not his brain that she likes

Hatred
You made me hate you,
I don’t know why I dated you,
It might be too late in time that you hurt me bad,
Sad to see you disappear just like the rest,
My hatred on you still grows,
What you did to me still haunts these thoughts,
These thoughts that won’t leave,
But it still reply's in my head,
My tears turns into sorrow,
Feels like as if I have drifted away,
Rifted a part from this world cause of my hatred,
You haven’t seen the real me,
Better yet you have to deal with through our high school year,
Don’t bother with me and I won’t bother with you,
You have hurt me enough,
I still hate you,
I still want you gone,
Leave me alone,
Get away from me,
Why won’t the thoughts of you fade away,
The hatred I feel toward you still grows.

Thought Broadcasting
Silence is a silver ship
Traveling at the speed of the darkness,
Black holes are the edifices in which I
Build my thoughts-
Word by word,
Each and every syllable forms upon my lips,
And then broadcasted, aloud-
Thoughts are killers- thoughts can harm-
My thoughts can be heard from afar.
Within this room I write my thoughts
With a pen that is void of ink, or a pencil
That has no lead,
Invisible they are, but somehow,
These thoughts are broadcasted aloud.
Thoughts are killers thoughts control-
My thoughts can be heard from afar.
A silver ship with its sail to the wind,
A wild horse that canters across vast terrain, or
Pebbles that roll off of my fingertips,
That splash into the creek, one by one,
You can see, you can hear, as
My thoughts, broadcasted aloud.
My thoughts can be heard from afar.
My thoughts are a flame that only I can quench.
I am in control of what comes into my mind,
As my hands build the world from
The bricks of Time,
My thoughts control the world.
My thinking destroys those, whom I abhor,
My thoughts control the downtrodden.
Silence is a silver ship, or
The dome beneath which I dwell-
I build my edifice beneath this dome.
No one dares to enter, as
I have broadcasted a message to the world,
My eyes order the world away;
My thoughts are broadcasted aloud,
A bad thought can destroy, as good ones
Create and control,
My thoughts control the world…

What Are Dreams?
Inside my dream, everything is perfect,
As I peruse my thoughts, I am at peace,
Eternally alone my light shall shine true,
I have grown to appreciate my own company,
Able to explore the person that is I,
Alone in my dream world life makes sense,
My thoughts take flight and dreams are born,
Friends, family, loved ones do not live here
Distractions only blight the landscape of my dreams,
Yet, what are dreams without a soul to share them?
Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Nightmares and Dreams
There was a boy,
he was so young,
his life was a toy,
on a pole it hung.
He was captured,
captured by shadows,
peace has been ruptured,
chased through the barrows.
Pleading for an end,
an end to this nightmare,
these dreams do blend,
nightmares and dreams are now there.
Tell him, Tell him,
Why does this soul now fade?
Over him, Over him,
These nightmares and dreams have stayed.
Covering him, Covering him,
Death's wings are spread afar.
Killing him, Killing him,
What is hated is of him a part.
Wolves of fire
spelling his doom.
An escort he's acquired,
To a city of tombs.
This world is killing him!
This life feels so empty!
His Light has become so dim!
'Death now tempts me.'
Why is he so sad?
Stuck in a quagmire.
He's never been so glad.
Darkness has made it's empire.
He's so numb inside...
He's can't say goodbye!
His heart has fled...
His emotions are dead!
They've blended, the Twain.
Like zombies they eat him.
Till his flesh seems feigned.
The Boundary is slim.
These Dreams have won.

Morning thoughts
Morning thoughts
~
A sun rises over roof tops
Greeting the cold morning air
A wind blows heavy, swaying trees
The branches stripped bare by winter
The world is slowly waking
And the picture beyond my window
Emerges to life once more
I lay motionless in silence
Nursing warm coffee in my hands
Early thoughts begin to stir
My pen yet to be put to paper
I think back to dreams
The night passed what they brought
I think to the day ahead
What will it bring
Thoughts of love and romance
What could I write of them
I watch a world waking
A sun rising over rooftops
And I listen to my thoughts

Duet In Harmony
Wanting it more to stay.
This feeling I have and prayed for.
If it should leave,
My needs would feed
Off misery
And pain I made.
Escapade days.
This is one I would save.
Caught in between...
A love I daydream,
And past thoughts I can not free
From me.
Who is that one in a crowd?
That one that looks at me now!
With a smile that seems just for me,
And a nod or two.
Who is that one in a crowd?
That one that looks at me now!
With a smile that seems just for me,
And a nod or two.
Not knowing one nod would do!
Sitting with thoughts.
My heart with memories brought.
To give me reason to sigh...
And wonder why,
I deny I'm all alone!
If only...
You were with me,
To see the way I can be.
Wishing...
More for romance.
And just once more chance...
To duet in harmony,
When greeted!

Give Me Permission To Go
Death is knocking on my door, i scream as i can't take it no more, i consume alcohol to numb my thoughts, thoughts i can't stop neither control or put on hold.
Still in this mist of the storm i try with no success to form a greater goal not for me alone but for those that fought those that i leave behind to tremble and moarn over a lost soul, believe me i was that soul, but just somehow lost control of it all.
i sometimes wish i could fall never to recover of be reborn, i feel lost i just simply can't hold on to dreams never to evolve or become true do that, so i can involve other souls,
I am going home never to return so please world, do not i repeat do not clone or revive me or make me reborn, i can't take this world so let me leave me alone to GO, i hope never to become this cold or ignored, hope u remeber as a pure soul, cause that was my only Goal...

After Love Is Gone!
Quiet mornings without love,
too many evenings without tenderness,
too many days without a kiss,
no one to share success with.
Love songs just refresh the pain,
memory clouds will bring the rain,
at times like these,
I wish the breeze,
would shine the sun again.
No love to ease a failure,
as if no where to go,
no one to give the sympathy,
that a heart must have to grow.
A future without dreams,
no more goals to meet tomorrow,
only thoughts of times gone by,
and thoughts of recent sorrow.
' Farewell and please be careful ',
is what she said to me,
I bid farewell and closed that door,
... not wanting to be free,
... not wanting to believe.
Here I stand ; free anyhow,
there isn't much for me to do,
except to go ahead with life,
and wait for something new.

The Reality Of These All
at night she tiptoes to the doors of
our waking thoughts
we are amazed at the images of light
eaten by the mouth of darkness
the Muse stares at the interplay of
good and evil
there is simply no word for who shall win
and then we are tired
our eyes begin to fail and our body gives in
buried in the darkness of the night
then we are taken in the world of dreams
where everything becomes possible
what we were not in those waking days
the dreams hand them all
broken hearts mended
fortunes flow
luck is abundant as the fish in the oceans
there is a crowd of success and bliss
but you know the limits of all these
soundless worlds
and those who refuse to wake up
simply die.

Bridge
The bridge I walk every morning plays games with my fantasies-
The water that runs beneath could be some magical ocean-
Leading to a place unknown-
When I look upwards towards the sky
My imagination carries me to some distant island in the heavens
Where I can be myself and there is nobody there to
Plan my life or to rule my thoughts-
To live my life as I please has always been my fondest dream-
And if only this bridge I walk every morning
Would take me to that place of my utmost reverie-
Spring shall arrive in less than two days- I can think of tales in books about
The arrival of spring- longer days to come, and
The awakening of the supernatural- although
Sad to say that this bridge I walk everyday
Takes me to the same familiar place-
Though I can find beauty in blossoming crocuses, daffodils and forsythia,
I find myself living in the same world, place and time- though
In my thoughts I live in another realm,
And travel across a different bridge that shall take me to that kingdom in the sky-
There I can live with the saints and angels everybody speaks of, in this place where I
Become my own person and can just be myself-
With no one present to control my destiny-
The bridge I walk every morning takes me to a place I have deemed as
Nowhere land- although I do not intimately know the people there
I see them every day passing by, knowing
That they are none but ordinary beings
With ordinary thoughts and minds-
I have built a bridge inside of the territory of my mind
That leads me towards my own magical “land of oz”-
And that is where I live every time I find myself in solitude-
Inside of a world unreal to all but very real to me- until that time of day when
I must return to civilization and reality- here I tell myself
I shall die one day and cross that bridge of my fantasies and
Become a saint or an angel myself looking down from the heavens
Upon this world where I once lived and can now laugh and sigh happily- because
Nobody shall ever control my thoughts again –
I have won my battle against veracity- good dreams are known to be
The essence of everyone’s bliss and I have left all of my nightmares behind-
Happy to call myself a dreamer as I have crossed that bridge from
Past to present and then journeyed to a future free from fear and apprehension-
And I have become free to know there will never be any turning back…

My Past Life
When you look down upon my face;
And you see the sadness and also the disgrace,
Please remember, they were not always there;
But think of me in your thoughts and your prayer.
As it was not really that long ago;
When happiness and joy in my face did show,
When love and peace had also occupied my heart;
But then from me, those emotions did part.
A smile and a laugh was the first to leave;
Then next were my dreams and the need to believe,
My feelings and words of compassion would disappear;
Then stronger grew my hate, and also my fear.
The world that I knew it was no longer my friend;
The hope that I had I would no longer send,
My life and my home it became a different place;
And it is all there when you look down, upon my face.

Love The Way You Do
I've loved you all my life in all my dreams
So why am I surprised here with me
That's how it should be
But you look in my eyes, turn away
You can see inside, I'm afraid
Afraid of feeling.
I don't know what to say
I don't understand
It's not the way I planned.
I can't stay, I can't leave
I'm torn between two people I need
One of them is you, the other is me
We come from different world, different stars
But when you're lying here in my arms
All I wanna do is love the way you do
All I wanna do is love the way you do.
How can I go on but nothing's changed
You and I both know the choice was made
When I first touched you
Now if I stay or leave it's all the same
Awake or in my dreams I see your face
I will love you.
I'm always in control now here I stand
A heart is in my hand.
I can't stay, I can't leave
I'm torn between two people I need
One of them is you, the other is me
We come from different world, different stars
But when you're lying here in my arms
All I wanna do is love the way you do.
All I wanna do is love the way you do.

Hard Times
I vaguely recall some of my childhood days, although
If I had to relive those days I do remember
I would have chosen to be born under a different star-
Lying upon the cold tiled bathroom floor dying was
My father on a warm early spring day and
Lying unconscious in the intensive care ward dying
Just five months later, lay my mother.
Sunlight would be creeping through the bedroom window,
Some twenty years later, as I stood by the bathroom door,
Screaming out in utter frustration and despair,
Trying to discern what was real from the shadows inside of my mind,
While all of the anger of my past and present days
Flooded my thoughts as would a raging storm on a summer’s eve-
I stood as still as the broken lamppost leaning upon the living room wall,
Trapped inside a tenement of anger and mistrust,
Fighting the tears that were flowing as rapidly as a downhill stream,
All of the rage tearing my soul apart as my heart was locked
Inside of a metal vault as my thoughts were weaving in and out of veracity.
If I could I would release my heart from that vault as
The feelings it contained were agonizing as if
A sword had stabbed and was twisting back and forth, with no relief
From the pain of past memories, as vague as they were-
Nearly fifty years have passed since I walked on the beach
Beneath the shade of palm trees, kicking the sand on the shore,
watching the sun set and then rise over the mountains and
Those nights when the full moon illuminated the sky-
I recall roses in full bloom in my father’s garden, and those days I
Walked along the wooded trail,
watching the deer running through the forest-
Recollections were overshadowed by nightmares,
visions and threatening voices
That plagued my mind with monotonous regularity-
It was only a week ago I lay upon a cold metal table
Breathing oxygen from a rubber mask as I drifted off to sleep,
An electric current passed through my brain
Sending me to some other realm into which I would awaken an hour later-
Seemingly in a different place and time I could not recall
The details of my childhood’s pain,
as my heart remained locked and keyed
Inside that iron vault-
Inside of my phantasmal space, I keep a key that
Could unlock many doors, one being the door to that magical world
Inside which I once lived to escape all of the pain of reality
That has torn my spirit to pieces-
My screams have been silenced and nobody has heard
My cry for help, and now I am alone inside of the world of my thoughts,
Singing the words to my favorite song-
“Stay alive and hold onto your dreams”-
I hold my dreams close to my heart, soul and mind because
My dreams are all that I have left-

Depression Hurts
Depression hurts when you grow old
And life has passed you by
No more dreams to think about
Or even wishes to come true
You lose a friend and then another and
There's no past to talk about
No laughter, only tears to shed
That others cannot see
Depression hurts no matter what you try
It breaks you down till nothing matters
Life doesn't matter either
You come or go, who cares
No one that really cares too much
No friend thats left to tell your troubles to
No love that puts its arms around you
And holds you close.
Why stay and sit in this old chair
With nothing to do day after day
Smoke cigarettes, why not
Its too late now to care
Goodbye to this life I would gladly say
Why God won't take me now
I do not know because he knows I want to go
Home with others that I love
There's more up there than down here
More love from friends in heaven
No friends do I count down here
Depression hurts, it hurts down deep inside
It breaks your heart and destroys your mind
Your thoughts are eratic and blown
Until the thoughts that used to come
Are gone forever, depression hurts
Dreams
When then a child I had brave dreams of things that might just be
As I grow older so it seems those dreams are part of me
The longing and the wistfulness that out of dreams are made
Are by life's beauty lesser things and fall into the shade
Of what is real and what is not and so our dreams become
The hope that lies inside of us and forever drives us on
For dreams are dreams when all is said and dreams are wafer thin
And the magic that we have in life comes only from within.

Houses of Dreams
You took my empty dreams
And filled them every one
With tenderness and nobleness,
April and the sun.
The old empty dreams
Where my thoughts would throng
Are far too full of happiness
To even hold a song.
Oh, the empty dreams were dim
And the empty dreams were wide,
They were sweet and shadowy houses
Where my thoughts could hide.
But you took my dreams away
And you made them all come true --
My thoughts have no place now to play,
And nothing now to do.
