Red Rocks
walking up the long winding stairs,
The sun is blazing hot,
and i am feverish with the warmth of it,
I feel like reading Jim morrison,
it feels like him here,
reaching the top is like touching the hand of god,
it feels like your first date,
my fingernails are raking the red rock
as my mind plunges into the only thought I have,
I am on top of the world,
I want to fly,
Winding down
off the paths,
down the mountain,
we must be still
a rattlesnake green and goddess sent
lies sunning in the dirt,
ride the snake,
Ride the snake,
dead poet in my head
you are right,
No I say I am afraid,
Suddenley I am brought back again,
and you are gone,
still through the bushes, a flicker of a tail
then no-more

there is a winding river
beside tall mountains
you must know that we have
crossed this river
ten times already
it is the same river
winding through the banks
of these foggy mountains
the tall cogon grasses
can deceive us and so
are the boulders of rocks
that lie along our paths
we are grasping for air
to reach the highest peak of these range
of mountains and valleys and
plains
at the topmost
there we can see the truth and negate
that we can never step twice
on that same river that winds through the hillsides
snake, boa, venomous circuitous foggy paths
damned, we stepped on the same river more than twice
this is the tenth, and this is the highest peak
the world is nothing but a winding snake.

The Cause of Enmity between Snake and Man
Snake, the first owner of fire.
Dog, the robber of fire.
Man the last owner of fire.
The snake gave birth first to fire.
Thus fire, the first born of snake.
Thus snake, only owner of fire long ago.
One cold evening
The man dying of coldness
The dog seen it master dying of coldness
It went to snake house and begged
The snake, the mother of fire to let
It tail get warm of fire
The snake cordially welcomed the dog
The dog twisted it tail on fire
The tail caught the fire
The dog jumped over the snake in door
Ran quickly to it master, the man
The man took the grass and wood
And lit up the fire
The fire lit up in man’s house
And it extinguished in snake’s house
The snake come to get fire back
But the man attack the snake
The hostility between man and snake
Began then

snake on the ground slithers. The plains scream out in fear, it slides onto my back and forces out my red tears. into my thought i can now see how foolishly i used to be. I remember the snake on my back and how i remember i should have fought back. The trees dance in scilence the fire now devoures the plains, the snake told me to forget my name. I threw the snake off my back with no sound forcefully it lay dead by the ground. Now i can feel the snake beneath my feet.

If I Ever Was a Snake
If I was a snake, my eyes would be green,
I would wander the land and look real mean.
If I was a snake, I'd know how to sting,
Despite all the trouble it would bring.
If I was a snake, I'd be red and gold,
I would slither and slather and eat my mice cold.
If I was a snake, I'd rattle my tail,
But I'd be polite and never go to jail.
If I was a snake, I'd slide on my tummy,
Hamsters and mice would be real yummy.
If I was a snake, I'd live on the ground,
Sleeping and snoring 'till I was found.
I would never learn how to rake,
If I ever was a snake.

Rattlesnakes look funny and... tasty.
- What a strange snake!
- Strange?
_________- It can shake
Its tail and make a loud
Noise!
_______- What are you telling about?
- A snake, it looks like a big sausage!
I shook it out of my luggage
When I heard it. It’s gorgeous!
- First of all it’s dangerous!
You’ve shaken me up because
Every rattlesnake can cause
Bad problems.
_____________- A snake with a rattle. How
Funny!
_______- Funny? Don’t be stupid. Now
Let’s think what to do with it.
_______________________- I’d
Like to taste this snake fried.

Hope The Hornblower
'Hark ye, hark to the winding horn;
Sluggards, awake, and front the morn!
Hark ye, hark to the winding horn;
The sun's on meadow and mill.
Follow me, hearts that love the chase;
Follow me, feet that keep the pace:
Stirrup to stirrup we ride, we ride,
We ride by moor and hill.'
Huntsman, huntsman, whither away?
What is the quarry afoot to-day?
Huntsman, huntsman, whither away,
And what the game ye kill?
Is it the deer, that men may dine?
Is it the wolf that tears the kine?
What is the race ye ride, ye ride,
Ye ride by moor and hill?
'Ask not yet till the day be dead
What is the game that's forward fled,
Ask not yet till the day be dead
The game we follow still.
An echo it may be, floating past;
A shadow it may be, fading fast:
Shadow or echo, we ride, we ride,
We ride by moor and hill'

Roll Another Joint
Let me run with you tonight
and i'll take you on a moonlight ride
There's someone i used to see
but she don't give a damn for me
But let me get to the point
Let's roll another joint
And turn the radio loud
I'm too alone to be proud
You don't know how it feels
You don't know how it feels
to be me...
People come People go
Some grow young Some grow cold
I woke up in between
A memory and a dream
So let's get to the point
Let's roll another joint
Let's head on down the road
There's somewhere I gotta go
And you don't know how it feels
You don't know how it feels
to be me...
My old man was born to rock
He's still tryin to beat the clock
Think of me what you will
I got a little space to fill
So let's get to the point
Let's roll another joint
Let's head on down the road
There's somewhere i gotta go
And you don't know how it feels
You don't know how it feels
No you don't know how it feels
to be me...
And you don't know how it feels
You don't know how it feels
No you don't know how it feels
to be me...

Dirt Bike
Here comes the dirt bike
Beware of the dirt bike
Because I hear theyre coming to our town
Theyve got plans for everyone
And now I hear theyre over their sophomore jinx, so you had better check it out
All hail the dirt bike
Philosopher dirt bike
Silence as we gathered round
We saw the word and were on our way
Now its
Brain washing dirt bike
Ground shaking dirt bike
Mind bending dirt bike
In control
Soul crushing dirt bike
Self propelled dirt bike
You see I never thought Id understand
til that bike took me by the hand
Now I ride
Ride
Ride

The Winding Roads
the white innova runs
for hours on this winding road
climbing mountains
we see the green forest
beside us
we are on rocky cliffs
we see the rivers wind
down the mountains
we are inside this silence
awed
overlooking the world
somehow this break
shall make us ponder
how we wasted time
on some nooks
of depression
and unnecessary worries
about tomorrow
the winding roads
still climb up this mountain
we look back seeing
the same winding roads
you say
there is no use going back
we look forward
the thrill up there
we do not discount
there is a valley somewhere
where we soon stop
and relax
then we shall talk
about this life
about these winding roads
that seem endless
to our gazes

Kissing the Fang
Snake biting once biting dead
Snake biting twice biting life
Walking in the sorghum stalk
The oldest foe- the snake heard my feet
The snake raised the neck and hissed
As our eyes met at equilibrium
I stopped and drew my spear
The hateful send boiled to the brim
The brawl commenced I speared it back fatefully
The snake bitten my right feet fatefully
The biting bit me dead I fell down breathing not
The snake bitten my left feet again.
The biting bit me life I raised up breathing lively
The snake snaked away
The venom paralyzed me but
I giddily crawled after the snake
I gasped and kissed the snake fang
I spate the healing saliva in the snake wound
We departed in peace-indeed peace in death

Snake; an oracle of oath
The godless men worship the snake
The godless men take oath in name of snake
And the curse comes upon wrongdoer
The godless men take oath in the name of snake
And blessing rains upon the innocent
The godless men take oath in the name of snake
And snake bitten dead the lair
And snake spare life of the truer
Despite snake answers to godless men
No votive or thank given to snake, the god
So the stopped the men to swear
By it name, snake said men used
Thunder and fire for swearing instead of it name
As snake disowned the godless men
Hex fallen upon

Silver Dime
(ian hunter/earl slick)
Alice was a drunken mona lisa
Arching up some american wall
She said i really want to please you
I said that's easy let yourself fall
All you got to do is go
Ride on down rock and roll
Shine on miss silver dime
Ride on down rock and roll
Blow my sweet mind
Blow my sweet mind
As i was posing down some empty broken street
Said the world is coming to an end
She screamed out loudly
I'm so lonely i'm so lonely
I'm so lonely i'm so lonely
I said on me you can depend
All you got to do is go
Ride on down rock and roll
Shine on miss silver dime
Ride on down rock and roll
Blow my sweet mind
Blow my sweet mind
She sucked so sadly on this feather tail
She got me up when i was down
She plays the music and when the music fades
I want her to get me up i want her to get me up
I want her to get me up i want her to get me up
I want her to get me up get me up
Get me up get me up get me up get me up
Get me up get me up get me up get me up
All you got to do is go

A Funeral In The Barrio
it is a long line of people
like a snake
winding itself on a
hill towards the spot
where a big tree
stands
the snake's mouth
opens and
spits you
right in the hole
six feet below
the ground
and then the women
wail.and then the clouds
pay its tribute
with a little rain.
and then you are
forgotten. another boy
wears your name
and starts life all over
again.

A Red Dirt Life
I went for a ride the other day
Sun shown bright as could be
Shining right on the red dirt road
There is nothing more cheerful to me
Past the red dirt farmhouses
Down the valley so red
A smile was on my face
For I knew what was ahead
The green trees stood out starkly
With the wonderful red color
Huge red rock and plateau’s
Nothing like any other
It was a ride that I take often
For I have a great red dirt time
Perhaps you too would enjoy
A red dirt life like mine!

0318 Five
Five fingers touching
in the warmth of night;
five toes walking you
when your back feels tight;
five senses yearning
in the half-filled bed;
five times memory
both alive and dead.

The 13th
'everyone feels good in a room' she swings
'two chord cool in a haze' she sings
'a-buzz a-buzz a-buzzing like them killer bees...'
tell me this is not for real
please tell me this is not for real...
from time to time her eyes get wide
she's always got them stuck on me
i'm surprised at how hot honey-covered and hungry she looks
and I have to turn away to keep from bursting
yeah I feel that good!
she slips from the stage
a foot no more
but it seems to take an hour for her to reach the floor
and the two chord cool still grooves
as she slides to us as smooth as a snake
i can't smile, I just start to shake
and I just know this is a big mistake
yeah but it feels good
do it to me! ...
'if you want I can take you on another kind of ride...'
'believe me I would but...'
deep inside the 'but' is 'please'
i am yearning for another taste
and my shaking is 'yes'
'you will be all the things in the world you've never been
see all the things in a world you've never seen
dream all the things in a world you'll never dreamed...'
but I think I get a bit confused...
am I seducing or being seduced?
oh I know that tomorrow I'll feel bad
but I really couldn't care about that
she's grinning, singing, spinning me round and round
smiling as I start to fall
her face gets big, her face gets small
it's like tonight I'm really not me at all
and it feels good!
do it to me! ...
it feels good!

Feels Like Home
something in your eyes
makes me wanna lose myself
makes me wanna lose myself
in your heart
something in your voice
makes my heart beat fast
hope this feeling will last
the rest of my life
if you knew
how lonely my life has been
and how low i've felt for so long
if you knew
i wanted someone to some along
and change my world
the way you've done
it feels like home
feels like home to me
feels like i'm on my way back
where i come from
feels like home
feels like home to me
feels like i'm on my wayback
where i'm from
with your embrace
down a long dark street
and a sigh of wind in the night
it's alright
cause i have you here with me
and i can almost see
the dark feels light
if you knew
how much this moment means to me
and how long i've waited for your touch
if you knew
i wanted someone to come along
i never thought i'd love anyone
so much
feels like home
feels like home to me
feels like i'm on my way to where i come from
feels like home to me
feels like home to me
feels like i'm on my way back to where i belong
feels like i'm on my way back to where i belong

the winding road to Diongan
the winding road to Diongan
leads me to all of you
your teeth are grinding
your feet stamping
your mouths shouting
your tongues hissing
the winding road to Diongan
leads me all to you
you ask for justice and they have nothing to give
you ask for food and the make promises as always
the road to Diongan had always been winding and winding
leading me to all of you and when we finally meet
we go somewhere at the summit of the mountain
a volcano erupts and those who are not with us shall be dead.

Sandy Thoughts
'Ride this wave with me and know,
That every wave leads to a beach
But every beach is different.
The beach I seek is one where
The sand fits perfectly between my toes
Like your fingers between my hand.
Where the water embraces my skin in warmth,
To remind me how it feels to hold you.
A beach where me and you are the only ones,
To let you know, you are my only one.
I am not afraid of where this wave will take us,
I am afraid that you and I will never see the beach I seek.
That when I look back and think, what could have been,
Should have been, will never be.'
