Moral Instransigence

Wide-gaping gaps
between moral intransigence that’s sterile
and intelligence, which good scholars abhor
but fanatics totally ignore,
can’t be bridged by bigots, causing peril
to everyone, perhaps.

Richard Bernstein reviews 'The Burden of responsibility: Blum, Camus, Aron and the French 20th Century, ' by Tony Judt (University of Chicago Press) in the the NYT, January 6,1999. Judt writes that to Aron the French revolutionary myth was to “bridge the gap between moral intransigence and intelligence”.

That's what causing problems in our world

That's what causing problems in our world
people without the moral on the board

I wish there was a university with moral degree
everybody has to have it from the boss to employee

All they teach our children is profit and more profit
do it even you have to legally or ilegally cheat

Use your knowledge to make money
you deserve to be rich, hell with everybody

So what if we have so many professionals graduate from best university
If they are insensitive to the poverty and enviromental problems in our society

We human like to blame problems on everybody around us
Even though we are part of the problems, so stop making so much fuss

A university degree without moral back up graduates a monster
who goes to the society and rub the people like a gangster

Mystic Chord

Memory, whose mystic chord
suggests existence of the Lord,
draws some to Gustav's music, Mahler,
many others to Kabbalah,
and even when agnostic, mystics
responsive to Pascal’s statistics,
find Leon’s Moses, sephirotic,
believable, because erotic.
Castilian writings that they dust off
appeal to me far less than Gustav.
Who’s right we may find out in olam
haba, but surely not from Scholem.

Richard Bernstein reviews “American Culture, American Tastes: Social Tastes: Social Changes and the 20th Century, ” by Michael Kammen (Alfred A. Knopf) (“Lowbrow? Highbrow? Culture Raises an Eyebrow, ' the NYT, August 25,1999) . Kammen, the author of 'Mystic Chords of Memory, ” pointing out that since the dominant role of television around 1960 cultural stratification and the existence of distinct brow levels have become blurred where they haven't been overtly blended. He traces the decline of traditional cultural authority and its eclipse by mass culture: “The entrepreneurial power of commerce totally crushed the recommendations of such cultural authorities as John Crosby, Jack Gould and Gilbert Seldes–– prominent television critics who pleaded for diversity.”

New Years Eve 1999

Written by gretchen peters
Baby, lets make a date for a night on the town
How does the turn of the century sound
I guarantee that well have a good time
New years eve 1999
Now I know it sounds a bit premature
But Im askin you now cause I want to be sure
Do you have anything else in mind
New years eve 1999
Well drink pink champagne from a plastic cup
Dance all night til the sun comes up
Well say its been a pretty good century
Except for that weekend in 93
Then well go home to our warn winter bed
And tuck in the kids with a kiss on the head
And sing one more chorus of auld lang syne
New years eve 1999
Ill be your sweetheart if youll be mine
New years eve 1999, new years eve 1999

Ang Bag-ong Pagsugod

Gihakot ko ang mga parte
Sa akong lawas. Una, gitagoan ko
Ang akong ulo sa ilalom sa katre

Ni lolo. Sunod ang akong mga tiil
Akong gilubong sa daplin sa suba

Aron dili kini anoron kon magbaha.
Sunod ang akong dughan diin
Ang akong kasingkasing naghago,

Akong gisang-at sa atop aron makakita
Sa bulan ug bituon. Bisag wala na ako.
Ang akong mga kamot akong gitapad
Sa salag sa mga langgam aron
Makat-on kini puhon sa paglupad.

Ang ubang parte sa hamubong
Pagkasulti akong giapod-
Apod sa kawanangan aron
Dili na nimo mailhan,
Makit-an ug mapuslan.

Karon mobalik ako kanimo
Nga walay pulos. Kanang dili mo na
Ako mahimong magamit.
Higugmaon mo pa ba kaha ako?

Kon dili ka katubag niini
Sabton ko gihapon ikaw.

Ug ako mopalayo kanimo
Balik sa akong kaugalingon,
Sugod sa uno, balik
sa akong pagkawala yamo.

Dinha baya ako gikan
Sa dihang nakit-an ko ikaw.

Mimimus Explains The Pluribus Unum Thing

And now come poets each century heavier than
before, heavier than the other few, this new one, too,
only bards, a real few, to bar, board up the big gaps,
O great light gaping torn, oft thee sung,
slung over shoulder, hauled, the burden,
o the load
it is now become.

Burdens Are Not Eased

Those burdens are not eased,
With an increase of intelligence.
There is a sense of responsibility,
One of wisdom can not resist.

Eyes that begin to open,
See more not less.
And the wider that they open...
Everything begins to connect.

Those burdens are not eased,
With an increase of intelligence.
There is a sense of responsibility,
One of wisdom can not resist.

Or,
Wish away something witnessed...
That a heart can not forget!

Those burdens are not eased,
With an increase of intelligence.

The mind just finds another way,
To have these burdens appear...
As if they don't exist!

With other burdens to carry,
Those not carrying them would not expect.
Or accept!
One can hear them whine,
About everything they reject.

Agn Bikil Sa Atong Kinabuhi

magpadayag ang wala nato makita
sukad-sukad sa sulod
sa atong kasing-kasing

ug dayon ibuka nato
ang atong mga mata aron makita
pag-usab ang mga dayag
nga nakapabuta kanato
sa dugay na kaayong higayon
diha sa tunga sa kusog kaayo

The Constancy Of A Noble Purpose

how must i tell you again
it is not the intelligence but the
constancy of purpose
at first and then
you either do not listen when you
heard me clear or
you simply cannot accept it and
change
you believe always on intelligence
and so i watch you risk everything upon it
trying to explain every grain of sand
and there too many of them
and they invade your intelligence and
they bury it
then
finally killing you
suffocating you because the sands in their
constancy of purpose
never believe what intelligence
preaches and
bragged.

On The Verge Of

Though alchemists in every continent worked hard,
to change the cheap metals into the precious gold,
they had never succeeded as it was not the truth,
hidden in the electronic configuration and a myth,
myth of mummy's resurrection from the pyramids and a cave,
myth of witch's spell and poor women's haunted look,
myth of piped piper and the following of the rats loot,
myth of the split ocean that paved the way for the joy walk,
myth of human intelligence and its relation to the races,
myth of ether that found in the space,
myth of flat earth, myth of spirit,
all are not lies, but steps taken to find the truth,
truth hidden in nature, that has hundred more elements,
everything derived from these, even the love and lust,
even the diseases and wellness,
concept and convenience of communication,
We have found something to explore other things,
we cloned the new things to produce substitute organs,
We are one step backward to find that God,
Who controls us to be happy and sad,
Creation of life in a cell, then,
Man will be the creator, until then,
Would we be alive or would we be destroyed,
if Gods of religions like to keep the secret or,
the intelligence of human dig its own grave.
