London River
Half a score o' sailormen that want to sail once more,
Cruising round the waterside with the Peter at the fore!
Half a score o' sailormen the sea will never drown -
Seven days in open boats a-drifting up and down! -
Out to find another ship and sail from London Town!
Half a score o' sailormen broke and on the rocks,
Linking down Commercial Road, tramping round the Docks,
Half a score o' sailormen, torpedoed twice before,
Once was in the Channel chops, once was off the Nore,
Last was in the open sea five hundred mile from shore!
Half a score o' sailormen that want to sail again -
And her cargo's all aboard her, and it's blowing up for rain!
Half a score o' sailormen that won't come home to tea -
For she's dropping down the river with the Duster flying free -
Down the London River on the road to the open sea!

Half The World
Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
Half the world hates
What half the world does every day
Half the world waits
While half gets on with it anyway
Half the world lives
Half the world makes
Half the world gives
While the other half takes
Half the world is
Half the world was
Half the world thinks
While the other half does
Half the world talks
With half a mind on what they say
Half the world walks
With half a mind to run away
Half the world lies
Half the world learns
Half the world flies
As half the world turns
Half the world cries
Half the world laughs
Half the world tries
To be the other half
Half of us divided like a torn-up photograph half of us are
Trying to reach the other half
Half the world cares
While half the world is wasting the day
Half the world shares
While half the world is stealing away

Half The World
Half the world lives,
Half the world makes,
Half the world gives
While the other half takes.
Half the world hates,
Half the world runs away,
Half the world's late,
Half the world praises the day.
Half the world is,
Half the world was,
Half the world thinks,
Half the world does.
Half the world lies,
Half the world burns,
Half the world cries
While the other half turns.
Half the world cares,
Half the world weeps,
Half the world shares,
Half the world keeps.
Half the world sings,
Half the world laughs,
Half the world brings,
Half the world tries to be the other half.
End.
The Old Grey Squirrel
A great while ago there was a schoolboy
who lived in a cottage by the sea,
And the very first thing he could remember
was the rigging of the schooners by the quay.
He could watch 'em from his bedroom window
with the big cranes a-hauling out the freight,
And he used to dream of shipping as a sea-cook
and a-sailing for the Golden Gate.
He used to buy the yellow penny dreadfuls,
he'd read 'em where he fished for conger eels,
As he listened to the slapping of the water
the green and oily water round the keels,
There were trawlers with their shark-mouthed flatfish
and the nets a-hanging out to dry,
And the skate the skipper kept because he liked 'em
and the landsmen never knew which ones to fry.
There were brigantines with timber out of Norway
just oozing with the syrups of the pine,
There were rusty dusty freighters out of Sunderland
and clippers of the Blue Cross Line.
To tumble down the hatch into a cabin
was better than the best of broken rules,
For the smell of 'em was like a Christmas dinner
and the feel of 'em was like a box of tools,
And before he went to sleep in the evenings
the last thing that he would ever see,
Was the sailormen a-dancing in the moonlight
by the capstan that stood beside the quay.
Now he's sitting on a high-stool in London,
the Golden Gate is far away,
For they caught him like a squirrel and they caged him,
now he's totting up accounts and turning grey,
And he'll never get to San Francisco
and the last thing that he will ever see,
Is the sailormen a-dancing in the moonlight
by the capstan that stands beside the quay.
To the tune of the old concertina
by the capstan that stands beside the quay.

I had to do this very aggressive, big score in a very short time, and knowing that in the beginning, middle, and end would be this very, very famous theme, but I still had to weave a score around it and make it work as a score was really challenging.

Even The Score
I stayed up all night long
Drinkin and thinkin bout you
Is there anything left at all
Is there anything that I can do
cause I dont know what to say anymore
I dont know how to even the score with you, with you
Starin hard at that big front door
Is it time now to find my shoes
It aint the loss of love no more
Im just tryin hard to live with you
cause I dont know what to say anymore
And I dont know how to even the score with you, with you
With you, with you
cause I dont know what to say anymore
And I dont know how to even the score with you, oh, with you
Is love a question, whos weak, whos strong
I cant see it, wheres a compromise
Its so confusin where this thing has gone
Its gotta stop, youve gotta realize
cause I dont know what to say anymore
And I dont know how to even the score with you, oh, with you
Yes, with you, oh, with you
cause I dont know what to say anymore
And I dont know how to even the score with you, oh, with you
Yes, with you, oh, with you
I dont know what to say anymore
And I dont know how to even the score with you, oh, with you
Yes, with you, oh, with you

Poem #065, Sonnet #25: Score
Now is the day, the boundary of July
The close of buoyancy, the end of play
Today my boyhood hums its elegye
To welcome ripeness, Lord! I’m score today.
Score… and the world is now a different place
A sober earth, a sky of gravity
I must inurn my years and wear the face
Of sapience… Ave fair Melancholy!
Score… and the word reechoes everywhere
I see it in the quiet of the thicket
I sense it in the stillness of the air
I feel it in the torpor of my spirit
Score… and my soul surrenders to the truth
I’m twenty now, farewell sweet days of youth!

The Higher Mathematics
Twice one is two,
Twice two is four,
But twice two is ninety-six if you know the way to score.
Half of two is one,
Half of four is two,
But half of four is forty per cent. if your name is Montagu:
For everything else is on the square
If done by the best quadratics;
And nothing is low in High Finance
Or the Higher Mathematics.
A straight line is straight
And a square mile is flat:
But you learn in trigonometrics a trick worth two of that.
Two straight lines
Can't enclose a Space,
But they can enclose a Corner to support the Chosen Race:
For you never know what Dynamics do
With the lower truths of Statics;
And half of two is a touring car
In the Higher Mathematics.
There is a place apart
Beyond the solar ray,
Where parallel straight lines can meet in an unofficial way.
There is a room that holds
The examiner or his clerks,
Where you can square the circle or the man that gives the marks.
Where you hide in the cellar and then look down
On the poets that live in the attics;
For the whole of the house is upside down
In the Higher Mathematics.

Duna
WHEN I was a little lad
With folly on my lips,
Fain was I for journeying
All the seas in ships.
But now across the southern swell,
Every dawn I hear
The little streams of Duna
Running clear.
When I was a young man,
Before my beard was gray,
All to ships and sailormen
I gave my heart away.
But I'm weary of the sea-wind,
I'm weary of the foam,
And the little stars of Duna
Call me home.

No free passage
The long grey furrows of the sea
which switch and change incessantly
Conceal the graves of fishermen
who trusted her, once too often.
The sea is not trustworthy
her mood can change so easily.
She is a kind and cruel bitch.
The trouble is you don’t know which
side of her she’s going to show
Something that you can never know.
Until one day she will decide
her needs can’t go unsatisfied.
This is the day she turns on you
and there is nothing you can do.
You are the chosen sacrifice
and only your death will suffice.
Each year the sea demands her toll
and she will take it forcibly.
She will select some simple soul
and drown him quite remorselessly.
The sea, the sea, the cruel sea.
She fascinates all sailormen
who travel on her hopefully
She sometimes brings them home again.

All We Ever Look For
Just look at your father
And youll see how you took after him.
Me, Im just another
Like my brothers
Of my mothers genes.
All they ever want for you
Are the things they didnt do.
All they ever wanted--a little clue.
All they ever wanted--the truth.
All they ever wanted--a little bit of you.
All they ever wanted,
But they never did get.
The whims that were weeping for
Our parents would be beaten for
Leave the breast
And then the rest
And then regret you ever left.
All were ever looking for
Is another open door.
All we ever look for--another womb.
All we ever look for--our own tomb.
All we ever look for--ooh, la lune.
All we ever look for--a little bit of you, too.
All we ever look for,
But we never do score.
All we ever look for--a god.
All we ever look for--ooh, a drug.
All we ever look for--a great big hug.
All we ever look for--a little bit of you.
All we ever look for--a little bit of you, too.
All we ever look for,
But we never do score.

I Am Waiting For An Answer
Hello my friend!
If you can't score from a penalty spot,
Then, what goal again can you score in your life? !
Tell me if you can;
For, i am waiting for an answer.

Come Sail Away
Written by dennis deyoung
Lead vocals by dennis deyoung
Im sailing away, set an open course for the virgin sea
Ive got to be free, free to face the life thats ahead of me
On board, Im the captain, so climb aboard
Well search for tomorrow on every shore
And Ill try, oh lord, Ill try to carry on
I look to the sea, reflections in the waves spark my memory
Some happy, some sad
I think of childhood friends and the dreams we had
We live happily forever, so the story goes
But somehow we missed out on that pot of gold
But well try best that we can to carry on
A gathering of angels appeared above my head
They sang to me this song of hope, and this is what they said
They said come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
I thought that they were angels, but to my surprise
They climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skies
Singing come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me

I KNOW What The Score Is
If I've known for years,
My credit has been sad...
So sad that saying it's bad,
Would put a smile on many faces.
Why are people calling me,
To convince I should know what the score is?
I KNOW what the score is!
That's why I don't play the game anymore!
