Kookamundo is a little animal who roamed the forest
He got his tail cut off in a trapper's trap
After that, all Kookamundos had no tails

Logic
'Tis strange, but true, that a common cat
Has got ten tails, — just think of that!
Don't see it, eh? The fact is plain:
To prove it so I rise t'explain.
We say a cat has but one tail:
Behold how logic lifts the veil!
No cat has nine tails: don't you see

Furred, Feathered, Finned
What is the difference
between a leghold trap
which catches an animal's
fragile fingers... or slamming
your hand in a car door?
The animal can never remove
his hand.. unless he chews off
his paw.
Unlike the car door the trap
has sharp teeth each of which
grabs onto his flesh.
The animal dies of thirst
or has his eyes pecked out by
birds of prey.

The marsh
Barefoot at times I walk through the marsh,
having to dodge plovers
diving down at me,
widow-birds are trying to draw my attention
with long tails that looks
as if they are too heavy to fly
and in the reeds something is moving
as if some animal is hiding there
and when I come closer
a water monitor
comes out hissing
hitting challenging with its tail
and everywhere yellow and read finches
are flying around
the oaks are full of wooing doves
and there’s a wild cat
looking down from a tree.

Those bare forests
When I was young, I had gone to this forest,
It was dark, deep and wild,
Like my youth it was full of resources,
I had spent few days there and had learned how the forest life is?
Forest life means survival of the fittest,
I could not find difference between city and forest,
In city too only the fittest can survive else the human who have wore the leather of lethal animal will not let the herbivore animal like us to live.
After twenty years struggling in the city and being tortured by children,
I returned back to the same forest to see its growth,
I could see it was bare, cut by poacher, deforesters,
It had not followed its own rule and the trees which it holds were all ageing like me,
We both were thrown out of the society it was thrown by cutting and I by my own sons.
I and it had the same fate bare with few more ageing hair and trees to be removed.
