When I was a teenager
my younger brother

Toast the New Year
Have a toast and drink to me
and taste the sweetened drink.
And I, myself shall have a sip
before I sit and think.
And though you're there
and I am here
the drinks will slowly disappear
and once again in separation
we begin another year.
Oh to start the year anew
and not know what it will bring
will have me go from day to day
always wondering.
Shall it be filled with agony
or will the toast I make come true?
Only time will answer that
or the toast that was made by you.

It Was Autumn Night
Hear the yell at front the door
Knock! Knock! In there!
The beating of my heart pounds
Thump! Do you have any care!
It was Autumn night
Out the door we leave our way
The long winding dusty road ahead
Crunch! Crunch! Crunch!
Atumn leaves sit in a piled bed
It was Autumn night
Here we are just the two of us alone
Clink! Clink! Clink! raise our glass
Smiles, laughter, and thrills
As we toast to today and for the past!

Through tears, do we see rainbows in the desert.
Like tempered glass that's been shattered inside,
I still maintain my shape.
Heal the wounds between the cracks
and time will feed your heart.
Of pain and memories time retains,
but one day it will be a small friend.
Sad smiles on your face replaced with laughter and tears,
of joy and happiness.
For one day in the future beyond the days of rope,
will one day have you unbound.
Smile, rejoice and be glad.
God will bring you home.
Life and love shall be yours.
Rejoice, believe, trust, love, and be glad.
There is joy,
even in fears.
Through my eyes and fears
Through my eyes come an ocean of tears.
Like the ocean they have no end.
Trembling like a shakey tomb.
And singing like a statue.
My blind eyes match my hart.
With the silence screams.
So this internal hurt may just be known.
Im shattered inside.
Shattered like a pane of glass.
Darkness is now my daylight.
And my ghosts come from the shadows.
With nothing shineing as it once did.
I imagine unconusiously.
And am pretending to sleep.
But I still hurt as ever.
As I realise.
