A naked body
bronze as the sun
poises against the sky
to dive,
then flings his form
into the tide,
parting waters
without a splash,
like the day sliding
beneath the sky.

The day is sliding
beneath the sky,
slipping away soundlessly,
like a diver

The bronze that tanned his body
slips below the lip of earth,
as bit by bit blue turns to gray;
And the sea darkens as it swallows
the single diver and the sun.

The day drains

as the lip of earth
fuses with and enters
the blue-gray parted waters
of the eastern sky,
and stars bit by bit
find their light.

The sun beneath the sky
so silently sank away,
I had not noticed its descent,
until I rubbed my eyed from strain

Surface gliders,
Desire to prove...

A Story To Tell....
the images of light
like needles from the sun this morning
actually, there are no threads
and nothing to sew
actually, there are no significances
except some few
every word must have a story for you
and you may ask me
but always i agree to disagree with you
words have their own lives their own existence
i am only a vehicle
i am only a body to this ghost
for we are nothing but wings of some black birds
that hover on our backs
when they are through they all leave us
and they take all the wings they have given us in our imagination
we fall asleep and when when we wake up
we check if we are still us mirrored in the pond of still waters
our hands touch our faces

then we say, goodbye black bird

Never Ask Twice Aka Airplane
Please observe my continental alligator skin line shoulder bag
Ive covered it in stickers from far and wide
And stuffed it full of suits and matching ties
Ive travelled on the seas and Ive travelled on the land
And theres not a single person I cant understand
Ive forgotten the languages and wave my cash
Ive enjoyed every minute of it with a splash
I wear a panama on my brilcremed hair
I think I carry it with a certain flair
When travelling abroad I know the score
With the voice of authority from the first a-world war
I went all through to congo on a magic pleasure knock
Staving off disease with hallucinogenic drugs
With a mind-bending root from a local native source
Made my mind and my body have a premature divorce
I felt like I was sliding from a massive height
It seemed like it was morning in the middle of the night
My eyes were open, though theres nothing much to see

The seas are my friend and the skies my home

of white herons, and
hawks, and
even gray fish on stones

amaze me, i am silenced
by their beauty, and
