Fishing On The Bayou
Everyday the fishing pole called, hook smiled.
Everyday the bayous melted my eyes anew...
With watercolors vapid, vagrant, hyacinth-call.
And the bass waited, finning defiantly, smiling.
Sitting on that wharf, wanting that night's feast,
Realizing the feast was already before me...
What beauty to relish with seasoning of years.
What years to relish, already seasoned...

Your Fishing Pole
There is something about you, something in your soul
something that seems to surround your fishing pole….
You moved to the coast, now that’s no lie
And we had a hard time with that little goodbye
But no need for heartache, no need to console
You had your boat and your fishing pole.
You know everyday you go out to fish
it’s like a genie granting every little wish
every time that bobber goes out of control
we know you are happy with your fishing pole.
Now on birthdays it’s special out on the water
I hear if you’re there, they’ll jump for the slaughter
You’ll be piling them in like your lucks on a roll
Reeling them in with your fishing pole
So today of all days take heed and relax
Pack up a cooler with drinks and some snacks
put on your shoes and go take a stroll
Down to your boat with your fishing pole.

Everyday I Have To Cry
(arthur alexander)
Everyday I have to cry some
Everyday I have to cry some
Dry the water from my eyes some
Everyday I have to cry
There was a little boy I had planned to marry
This was my love I didnt want to share it
I thought that love would make my life bright and sunny
He said he couldnt love me cause he didnt have no money
So, everyday I have to cry some
Everyday I have to cry some
Dry the water from my eyes some
Everyday I have to cry
I got me a boy
I guess I really loved him
Every night now I was thinking of him
But you cant mix love with money
cause if you do its gonna hurt somebody
So, everyday I have to cry some
Everyday I have to cry some
Dry the water from my eyes some
Everyday I have to cry
Although I know that hes just a poor boy
Is it wrong to love cause hes not a rich boy?
Every time you mix love with money
Every time you hurt somebody
So, everyday I have to cry some
Everyday I have to cry some
Dry the water from my eyes some
Everyday I have to cry
Everyday I have to cry
Everyday I have to cry
Oh, oh

Men are paltry fed
All women like men’s talks,
At least in one to one talks.
The bolder ones with them walk.
They blush in incidental touches.
They relish motive touches.
It is the end of it for women
Like pudding after feast.
It is the beginning for men
Like soup ahead of feast.
Men are left starving.

Everydays The Same
It doesnt seem so long ago
That I was sitting at the edge of the desk
And now Im looking back with a smile
As I turn my back to success
And I laugh and I cry and ask myself why
Everyday they do the same
And I stop and I think for a minute each week
Do they always catch the train
Everyday, everyday, everyday seems to end this way
{ }
Everyday, everyday, everyday seems to end this way
{everday just seems the same}
It seems like only yesterday
That I was sitting at the edge of the desk
And now Im looking back with a smile
As I turn my back to success
And I laugh and I cry and ask myself why
Everyday they do the same
And I stop and I think for a minute each week

Everyday Now
I just woke up and I can see it now
Its never been this close before
Tried to tell myself I didnt care
Crying out why am I here
Theres no point in me hiding
And only now I can see
Everyday now
Everyday now
The blames gonna fall on me
Something deep inside said move away
Try to leave whats good behind
And I still ask myself
Why I let it go
All these years were wasted time
Theres no point in me hiding
And only now I can see
Everyday now
Everyday now
The blames gonna fall on me
Everyday now
Everyday now
The blames gonna fall on me
Cause I never told you
That I could never live without it
Now the blames on me
Everyday now
Everyday now
The blames gonna fall on me
Everyday now

The blames gonna fall on me

The blames gonna fall on me

This Tree -Lined Street/ I Walk Down Everyday
THE TREE –LINED STREET / I WALK DOWN EVERYDAY
The tree- lined street
I walk down everyday
Its beauty-
How long has it been this way?
Twenty? Fifty years?
How many years will it remain?
Everything goes away
A hundred years? Two – thousand years?
All is waiting
To go away forever-
And what will become of all this world?
These beauties we have seen?
Another day. Another day.

Missing You
Sitting here thinking about you
And all the things we used to do
I never thought that I would lose you
Cause you were always my boo
Sitting here wondering where we
Wonderin where we went wrong
Cause now Im here all alone
Wishing youd come back home, so tell me
Why, why, whyd you have to go away
Got me missing you everyday
Baby tell me why, why, whyd you have to go away
Got me missing you everyday
Everyday Im missing you
I dont understand why you left, baby what didnt I do?
Wasnt I always there for you and wasnt I good to you?
How was I to know something was wrong,
Baby I cant read minds
All you had to do was tell me
But you kept it all inside
Tell me why, why, whyd you have to go away got me missing you everyday
Baby, tell me why, why, whyd you have to go away got me missing you everyday
Everyday Im missing you
Girl Ill never find another,
Another one to take your place
Cause you were so, so good to me baby
And you kept the smile upon my face
And Im on my bended knee and Im crying, crying wont you come back to me
To me cause you mean the world to me
Why, why, whyd you have to go away got me missing you everyday
Oh tell me why, why, whyd you have to go away got me missing you everyday
Im missing you
Why, why, go away everyday
Why, why, go away everyday Im missing you
Why, why, go away everyday

I Know You're There and Listening
Everyday I will say,
I am glad to walk beside You.
Come what may everyday,
I am glad to know You're here!
And when I look up to the sky I feel,
Your eyes upon me near.
Everyday when I pray,
I know You're there and listening.
Everyday when I pray,
I'm listening to You too!
And no matter if gray clouds appear.
Or thunder in my mind...
Brings tears.
I find You there protecting.
I find safe shelter here.
It's very clear
I find You near me...
Everyday.
Everyday I will say,
I am glad to walk beside You.
Come what may everyday,
I am glad to know You are so near.
And when I look up to the sky I feel,
Your eyes upon me close...
To watch.
And chase away those fears that come.
To let me know I'm not just one with You.
You prove this everyday that I go through.
Everyday I know I'm not alone.
And with You I'll never be...
To question where You are.
You are never from me far,
Away.
I know You're there,
With me...
As always.
I know You're there!
To comfort me.
Eternally...
You're there.
Inside of me.
And in my heart,
To believe.
Everyday I know I'm not alone.
And with You I'll never be...
To question where You are.
You're never from me far,
Away.
You're here with me.
Kept faithfully to believe.
Everyday as I pray,
With faith and believe.

Want You
It's just the way I want you baby
Oh so bad
It's just the feeling that comes over me
I had a crush on you
Painstakingly I
Would conceal the truth
You probably always knew
But I was timid like a child
Inhibited and way too shy
I'd glance but then avert my eyes
All twisted up in my desire
But I am not that girl today
Ain't a lot of time for games
I've waited and I've waited now
It's time for me to tell you
'Bout the way
It's just they way I want you baby
Oh so bad
Every night and everyday
Must we hesitate
It's just the feeling that comes over me
I cannot alleviate
Please don't make me wait
It's just the way I want you baby
Oh so bad
Every night and everyday
Baby I
Was so into you
Now I wonder why
I never pursued
You the way I wanted to
Kiss me and touch me and
I'mmerse your love in mine
I'll keep unraveling
As we explore our fantasies tonight
(Tell me what you like)
(Now show me what you like)
It's just the way I want you baby
So bad
Every night and everyday
Must we hesitate
It's just the feeling that comes over me
I cannot alleviate
Please don't make me wait

Look Around You
Sometimes we have to stop
look around at what we got
step back and look
through someone else’s eyes.
Everyday we pass things
without giving them a second glance,
and then a stranger comes
and just gasps at the beauty
around where we come from.
We see it everyday
and not once does it register
the wonders that surround us.
It’s only when we step back
and look, at things through someone else’s eyes
we see the beauty we ignore everyday.

The Reason And Cause For Their Pain
Everyday!
Everyday as if a ritual,
Someone is complaining...
About being misunderstood.
Everyday as if a ritual,
Fault is being made...
About someone else.
Everyday as if a ritual,
People are accused...
For something they didn't do.
Everyday!
Everyday as if a ritual,
Some believes they have the right...
To excuse themselves of responsibility.
And everyday,
Someone is left to feel alone...
Still not getting the connection,
Between their misdeeds...
Aches and pains.
And those heartbreaks they receive,
They have come to perceive...
No one else has known!
And everyday without fail,
As sure as the ticking of a clock is heard...
These people will not see themselves,
The reason and cause for their pain.

Policeman
Everyday he wakes up
As his bare feet hit the floor
Grabs a cup of coffee
Straps his magnum on once more
Feeds the cat he lives with
Since his wife walked out the door
In nine years hell retire with a pension
Everyday he suffers
cause he sees all kinds of pain
Sometimes feels helpless
In a world thats gone insane
Then he wins a battle
It restores his faith again
Its only human kindness he is after
He is a policeman, you know
All the years and nothing to show
He is a policeman, you know
Every night he comes home
With a sixpack all alone
Feeds the cat he lives with
He picks up the telephone
Needs to talk with someone
But the only love hes known
Was lost forever, he is a policeman
He is a policeman, you know
All the years and nothing to show
He is a policeman, you know
All the years and nothing to show

Everyday You
Everyday you make my sun smile
In warm and tender feelings
At night dreams of you brighten as
the milky moon
All i can think about is when i will
see you soon
You the reason why my heart sails in
passionate flames
Why my heart beats with such delightful
claims
Everyday your image eclipses my heart
Everyday your embers are warmth in my soul
Everyday you paint my within
with feelings strong
Everyday with you is a sweet song
And under the romantic sun we do belong
Everyday thoughts of you erupt
through my crater and lava fills my skies
Everyday thoughts of you deep within
gentle arise

Doubting Thomas
For years I've fed this feral cat at 4 a.m.,
a crouching mound of fur, Satanic black, with yellow eyes
that never blink. I call him 'Doubting Thomas.'
I place his can of Fancy Feast five feet or so from him.
He doesn't stir till I go in the house
and douse the porch light.
Then he leaps and cleans the can
and saunters off till 4 a.m. the following morning
when he's back again, eyes ablaze, crouching.
This pact I have with Doubting Thomas
helps me realize how God must feel
eons after the Big Bang.
Some folks, you see, aren't certain God lit that match.
Some believe the Big Bang just happened.
Out of nothing they believe something came to be.
I think the cat I feed at 4 a.m. agrees with them.
I'm sure he'd tell you Fancy Feast always was,
always will be and always will remain the same.
I wonder what that cat will do the day I die
when he arrives at 4 a.m. and finds the can
from yesterday empty where he left it.
There's no mystery as to what he'll do.
He'll find another porch like mine where every morning
without a bang Fancy Feast just happens.

Ravenous
The Panda cub was ravenous!
His eyes looked everywhere!
The bamboo shoots caused quite a fuss!
He didn't stop to stare!
He pounced upon them one-by-one
And sometimes two-by-two!
His feeding frenzy had begun,
Like it was something new!
He chomped and chomped upon each shoot,
With relish and delight!
As if each was a tough old boot
Deserving every bite!
I pity fools who intervened,
When he was in his stride...
He'd fight them off as if a fiend!
He'd never run and hide!
He saw them first! He owned them all!
The feast was his alone...
So he sat down and had a ball...
That's why he looks full grown!
The poem is based on the magnificent painting
by Stephen Gayford called 'Ravenous'.

Because Of God
Because of God
The sun will
Always shine
Everyday
And that is true
Because of God
I have some tears in
My eyes
Because of God
There will always
Be light
And I will never walk
In the dark
Because of God
My eyes healed
After he put some
Eye drops into them
When they burned
From the air pollution
My vision was gone
I couldn't see.
Because of God
I have learned to enjoy every minute of my life
- I am living each day
Because of God
I am smiling everyday

Hook, Line And Sinker
I have always wondered what it means
when someone using oral means
says something so colloquial
that it is understood by all
except us foreigners of course
yes language, it is such a force!
A lady fishing from the bridge
her husband though had climbed a ridge
they were in heated competition
and liked the thought of going fishing.
A tug was felt along her line
at first she felt she should recline
and pull until the fish came out
it probably would be a trout.
It did not work and hubby yelled
about the way his sweetheart held
the fishing pole, she called him 'stinker'
then she fell in, hook, line and sinker.

Flower to Flower
I came across one flower
While walking in a garden
It saw me and gave a smile
I too smiled and walked
Each day in garden I smiled
One day I gazed at flower
At its plant and roots closely
I observed its dance in wind
And its dance made me sing
It made me smile all my time
Everyday I went to flower
Smiled with it and came back
My days went like seconds
Nights passed like years
Flower made me its lover
So I wrote songs on its dance
On its lovely beautiful smile
All about its charming beauty
And my state of dying slowly
In which I am smiling daily
One day I saw flower singing
In the garden while jogging
Song reveled its moving off
From my garden to a house
Of loved one from its past
I smiled on all my songs
While writing a new song
Its song of flower to flower
Which I gave to my flower
When departing from my lover
