Dharma Chakra
What Buddha set in motion,
The Wheel of Dharma
Was already, always in motion.
We used to discuss, with scorn,
The retired officers charging fee
To procure a meeting with us.
Now after retirement while
Doing consultancy, we charge
A higher fee for meeting officers!
I do feel sorry that I thought ill
Of them then, and so now if others
In the chair think ill of me, let them.
The circle will complete for everyone:
Only there is a season for everything,
As laid down in the Ecclesiastes.

The Navy has changed a great deal. Not that the officers of my day were bad, because I served under a lot of good officers, believe me. But there were a few bad ones, too.

World In Motion
Journalism, for the mass
Greener, than the greenest grass
Naivety, isn't what we need
Every picture wee see, every line we read
What about pollution, what about rain
What about the people suffering their pain
Criticism is the magic word
To think about rumors we have heard
World in motion, everywhere
Wake up from your dreams
Open up your eyes and see the light
World in motion, all the time
Feel it in you heart
What you wanna see with your own eyes
World in motion
We don't really care about what we see every day
From Moscow to Jo'burg, from Rio to L.A.
We pretend to be a nation of tolerance and peace
But isn't it violence which increase
Headlines are shocking, stories are brand, new
How can you be sure that everything is true
No difference between reality and show
Stimulation, overflow
It's a world in motion
Every picture we see
A part of history
World in motion
It's a world in motion
It will always last
Between future and past
World in motion
It's a world in motion
But what's going on, and what is wrong
World in motion
It's a world in motion
Against the wind
Close your eyes and let it in

Pre-Retired
Well I'm almost there ya know
that full retirement kinda place.
I'm not old enough to collect any money
can't find a job, with age lines upon my face!
So I guess I'm pre-retired?
I don't have another name, yet for it!
But if this is what retirement is like
where all you do is, just write poems and sit!
Then I'd rather be ten feet under
or something sorta like that!
I use to have a great figure
now all I am is a ball of, pre-retired FAT!
Wife still is working full time
and she looks a lot better than me!
She stays out all night after working
with her girlfriends, not me!
I'm boring I guess, and feel out of place
no real purpose felt anymore.
I use to be a manager of twelve employees
in a large, retail discount store!
So don't tell me about retirement!
and how great it is for you!
It stinks to be pre-retired
and think when my full retirement comes
It won't feel anything like you!

The Loco-motion
Everybodys doin a brand new dance now.
Come on baby, do the loco-motion.
I know youll get to like it if you give it a chance now.
Come on baby, do the loco-motion.
My little baby sister can do it with ease,
Its easier than learnin your abcs.
So, come on, come on, and do the loco-motion with me.
Youve got to swing your hips now,
Oooo ...
Come on,
Oooo ...
Come on.
Jump up,
Oooo ...
Jump up.
Jump back,
Oooo ...
Jump back.
Oh, well, I think youve got the knack.
Oooo ...
Woah ... woah.
Now that you can do it, well, lets make a chain now.
Come on baby, do the loco-motion.
A chuga-chuga motion like a railroad train, now.
Come on baby, do the loco-motion.
Do it nice and easy now, and dont lose control,
A little bit of rhythm and a lot of soul,
So, come on, come on, and do the loco-motion with me.
Woah ... woah.
Move around the floor in a loco-motion.
Come on baby, do the loco-motion.
Do it holdin hands ifn you get the notion.
Come on baby, do the loco-motion.
Theres never been a dance thats so easy to do,
It even makes you happy when youre feelin blue.
So, come on, come on, and do the loco-motion with me.
Come on baby, do the loco-motion.
So, come on, come on, and do the loco-motion with me.
Come on baby, do the loco-motion.
So, come on, come on, and do the loco-motion with me.
Come on baby, do the loco-motion.
Come on baby, do the loco-motion.
Come on baby, do the loco-motion.

Wonderland
Would you come and look around
See the motion and circle round
Feel it whirl through the fields
All the years we wandered about
And let our youth strip us out
Now lock up the door to indignation
As all appears to recover
(would you come-look around-see the motion-circle round)
All appears to recover
(all the years we wandered about-let our youth-strip us out-come with me)
Here we are in wonder left with all left to discover
Will you stay watch by me
As all appears to recover
(would you come-look around-see the motion-circle round)
All appears to recover
(all the years we wandered about-let our youth-strip us out-come with me-break out)
As all appears to recover
(would you come-look around-see the motion-circle round)
All appears to recover
(all the years we wandered about-let our youth-strip us out-come with me-break out)

Very Little Time To Spend Socializing
It takes much more than talk...
To produce results.
And more than taking notes,
At a meeting.
It takes much more,
Than asking questions...
To define a reason,
That might combine with one's whine!
In the process of 'doing'...
And getting that achieved,
Is a process not too many...
Are disciplined enough to accomplish.
Many people would rather socialize,
And discuss what should be on an agenda.
Than to acknowledge what they've done,
To set their deeds in motion.
The ones pursuing those missions,
Find very little time to spend socializing.
With or without,
Embellishing what they've done.
About to do...or plan!
'You can't expect everyone,
To feel the same way you do...
About what it is you do! '
That seems to be more your campaign than mine.
I don't have time to expect anything from anyone!
I guess that's why I call it,
My business!
You know...
Like stay out of it!

We Live So Fast
Please dont ask me to stay
Im leaving this town
Dont worry now
Believe me as I believe that
Luck is on my side
The future is mine
If I can find
A way through these strange days of my life
We live so fast
Motion, motion
No time to waste
Use it, use it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Make the first step and reach out for tomorrow
We live so fast
Motion, motion
We cant stand still
Move it, move it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Move out of my way its time to make it happen
The streets deserted and cold
Theyre not paved with gold
But I dont care
For those who think young will still survive
Making their move
Hoping to prove
That they can face
This big city, small world, big time
We live so fast
Motion, motion
No time to waste
Use it, use it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Make the first step and reach out for tomorrow
We live so fast
Motion, motion
We cant stand still
Move it, move it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Move out of my way its time to make it happen
But now I know their ways
I found my place
Saw their true face
Theres nothing to stay for so Ill go
Ill pick up the phone
Still searching for home
We life so fast
Alone but not lonely I move on
We live so fast
Motion, motion
No time to waste
Use it, use it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Make the first step and reach out for tomorrow
We live so fast
Motion, motion
We cant stand still
Move it, move it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Move out of my way its time to make it happen

Just A Motion Away
Sometimes you win sometimes you lose
Aint turnin back for me and you
Dont look over your shoulder
No time for regrets
You got your demons I got mine
Our paths have crossed at a crucial time
Suddenly were older
Scared of whats ahead
We were looking for the answers in all the wrong places
But now the chance is knocking on our door
To grab hold of what we been readin for
Its just a motion away
Its just a motion away
Its just a motion away
No need to wonder where the future lies
Its right before our very eyes
Dont even think it over
Just say yes
We were clinging to some old cliches and old familar faces
But now theyre only shattered dreams
So lets dry our eyes and start away clean
Its just a motion away
Its just a motion away
Its just a motion away
We were lookin for the answers in all the wrong places
But now the chance is knocking on our door
To open up our aliing hearts once more
Its just a motion away
Its just a motion away
Its just a motion away

Shes Got Motion
Words and music by rick nielsen & m. radice
Met the girl said to me
What is it you wanna see?
See the world a different view
Trip around the world with you
See it all, special view
Over, under, sideways with you
Took a chance, ummm some romance
It was good for me was it good for you?
Shes got motion, motion, motion
A love potion (for me)
Yeah, shes got it (I like it a lot)
Ive got the motion
She likes it hot
Then I touched her on the spot
On the trigger, it was hot
She said dont stop. dont stop, dont stop
Shes got motion, motion, motion
A love potion (for me)
Yeah, shes got it (I like it a lot)
I got the notion
She likes it hot
So hot
So hot
Hot, hot, hot, hot
It was good
No,it was great
It was wonderful
Bravo!
Congratulations go out to her
My feet never touched the ground
Shes got motion, motion, motion
A love potion (for me)
Yeah, shes got it (I like it a lot)
I got the notion
She likes it hot
(repeat and fade with ad lib)
