As the new spirituality begins to become the pervasive spirituality of the planet, we'll find that we have abandoned our philosophy of contradictions in which we say we're all one but continue to try to win.

I think the new spirituality will be a spirituality that's not based on a particular dogma. And that steps away from the old spiritual paradigm that we have created on this planet, which comes from a thought that there is such a thing as being better.

Ah late Grandma Is Back
last night late grandma showed her face
on the screen of my mind
perhaps that's her way to say
she had received the merits sent her
from the supplications
at the Mahavira buddhist temple
the temple where new year candles flicker
in little red cuplets filled with oil
through the night on festive occasions
on grandma's face is a spirituality
i had never seen before
she looked a different person
after so many years, she has been to somewhere
and yes she has put on weight
like before not a word was spoken
but who needs words when one's face itself
can tell a story more profound than a thousand words
who needs those lengthy descriptions when a mere look
at a face is able to show us the spirituality of another realm,
and hers tells me the spirituality she has imbibed is thicker
than the one i am in
sure she has been to places all these nine years or so
you know through her ace there is a religion somewhere
governing us all, a spirituality that carries us through
each realm, each day
a God can be seen through the face of those
who have journeyed into eternity
if you have the blessings to have them back to you
for a split second or two, right on the screen of your mind
a spirit keen to share with us the graces they have imbibed
since the day they left, a holiness no words can tell
a face treasured for the all the stories it can tell
without the need of words

An attempt to understand spirituality
An attempt to understand spirituality
The term “spirit” could mean
The soul that gives life to your body
And keeps it alive and active
The term could also mean
The spark or inspiration
That keeps you enthused
And help you stay active,
Creative and contribute
Spirituality may mean
Understanding the former or
Keeping the latter
Nourished and nurtured
Oriental scriptures do not
See the former separate
According to these scriptures
The soul is always
In association with the
Natural environment,
The body (where it is housed)
With a set of physical and emotional qualities
Designed by the nature
And in link with the super soul, the God
All religions, in some way
Or the other
Aim at understanding the spirit
Its stance in the middle of natural environment
And its link with the super soul
All rituals aid in this understanding.
So, spirituality can be the outcome
Of the combination of the terms
“Spirit” and “rituality”
The message is clear
Keep always linking the understanding
Of the spirit with rituals and
Thus become spiritual
Stay not just ritual
Nurturing the spark of
Your enthusiasm is the other way
Of your being in the spiritual path
How to go about
Realizing your desires keeps
You enthusiastic
If the desires are selfish
And thoroughly materialistic,
Though you get initially enthused on achieving them,
You get frustrated and exhausted
On either others’ better progresses
Or your failing short of your own scales
If the chase is after
Selfless and altruistic ends
Your spirit of enthusiasm
Never dies and it keeps its glow
In fact, enhances it
As while on that chase
You do not see others
And you mind not failing
What nourishes your spirit
Is the effort and
Not the results thereof
You choose the spiritual path of your liking
Understanding the soul or
Upkeeping your enthusiastic selfless efforts

In the true sense…
A true scientist is not for spirituality.
An honest man is not for loyalty.
A virtuous woman is not for glamour.
Else they aren’t for they are known for.

Living witnesses
do we ever die?
the planets and suns
were all once - living beings
they found an alternative way
to live and we are the living witnesses
one day we will too be able to
give up this physique to let the
fire in us be the sun
our spirituality the mountains and the universe
our intelligence the moon
breathe the breeze
our veins and arteries
the rivers and streams
our nature the four seasons
and our love - running creatures
who too would live to share our destiny
rewritten version
do we ever die?
a question gawking
at us like a million stars
are they harbingers
of good news? glittering
with promises of a life beyond?
that the planets and suns
were all once - living beings?
who have scored high with
an alternative way to live?
are we the living witnesses
of their love, waiting only
to be inspired? so that one day
we too will be able to give up
a cumbersome physique to let the
fire in us be the sun
our spirituality the mountains
and the universe
our intelligence the moon
veins and arteries
the rivers and streams
our nature the four seasons
and our love - running creatures
who too would live to share our destiny?

A brother
A Brother
Born to be at service to the Church and to her people, as
Reflection of God’s love, faith, charity to all peoples, thus,
Opt to live in poverty, chastity and obedience –the total yes;
To be equipped both in academic and in spiritual discipline,
Holistic to promote Jesus Christ –the human and the divine
Endeavor, therefore, the spirituality of maturity and growth
Reality as such, he is a brother, a friend who bears to truth

For truth, justice, renounced spirituality
Knows that only love can quench her fire
Only first, must defeat her mind’s duality
