My Fridge

My fridge has a life of it's own

It's own

Why don't I have a life of my own?

I, plug it in, [that is the fridge]

And still it has a life of it's own

As it whines and sings

It's broken sonatas

So 'postmodern' for a fridge!

I, on the other hand only moan

Sometimes I think it is haunted

Possessed by the ghost of a fridge long dead

Do fridges have souls? , they are too cold

Full of white glossed metal

How can a fridge really feel?

This is getting surreal

But at night all alone

I hear it weeping

Could it be speaking

In 'fridge morse code? '

Filling in the gaps

Between sleeping

And waking

Wondering if life is there for the taking

What it would be like to have a life of my own

Livin In The Fridge

Theres something weird in the fridge today
I dont know what it is
Food I cant recognize
My roommate wont throw a thing away
I guess its probably his
It looks like its alive...
And livin in the fridge... livin in the fridge
Livin in the fridge... livin in the fridge
Theres something dross in the fridge today
Its green and growin hair
Its been there since july
If you can name the object
In that baggie over there
Then mister, youre a better man than i
Its livin in the fridge
You cant stop (dysentary) the mold from growin (dysentary)
Livin in the fridge
Cant tell what (dysentary) it is at all (dysentary)
Livin in the fridge
You cant stop (dysentary) the mold from growin (dysentary)
Livin in the fridge
Tell me, do you think it should be carbon dated
Fumigated or creamated and buried at sea?
You try to save a little bit of youre home cookin
Couple weeks later, got a scary-lookin specimen
It always happens my friend
Again & again & again & again
Somethin stinks in the fridge today
And its been rottin there all week
It could be liver cake or wooly mammoth steak
Well, maybe I should another peek...
Livin in the fridge
You cant stop (dysentary) the mold from growin (dysentary)
Livin in the fridge
Cant tell what (dysentary) it is at all (dysentary)
Livin in the fridge
You cant stop (dysentary) the mold from growin (dysentary)
Livin in the fridge
Livin in the fridge
Dont know what it is, dont know what it is
Livin in the fridge
Dont know what it is, dont know what it is
Livin in the fridge
Dont know what it is at all
Livin in the fridge, yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

Fridge Love.

Sighs...
The anticipation of beloveds fridge door opens with an oh so sigh-worthy.....
PING! ! ! followed by her own generous....
Sigh
She knows i shall ravish her
She really does not mind

The heart pitter patters as the eyes forage
Bounty hunter.... bessie bunters
Eyes dance as bambi's legs
Through the forest of cheese and things that please
And the odd banana dregs

Then
Chocolate... Coca-cola, all things that
Doth so.... tease
(but im on... yet another diet) so not permitted to eat as i do so please

I hate my skinny family the ones for which i dote
For whom i loving fill said fridge
With things I'd so love to munch
but wont

My mind is starved my stomaches gutted
My soul is crushed and spat
Ill walk away with just
A
Lettuce leaf
Convince my self... that
It is tasty its just devine
It is my just dessert
And watch my child with a big ice-cream
Boy it dunn arf hurt.....

..............................

im a fridge stalker
a fridge stalker
with a well rounded bum
but after three kids and a few happy mo's
i look just like my mum

A Child's Amaze

amaze, cold amazement
those faces i saw as a child
those faces that can still trap
me between the lines of their
scowls with mere recollections

those cold cold faces that seemed
to have come out of er somewhere
a torture chamber? a lonely prison?
disappointment land?

i did not know hell, too young to know
wonder who first coined cold as hell
could hell be cold anyway?

well then i did not know
much about fridge either
in backward borneo 40 years back
the coldness of people's faces
racked the mind and dissettled
a budding heart mored used to
cajoles and warm embraces

i still see men with
cold cold faces, demeanor
hell, ice, fridge have become
overused, redundant words
to describe such poor souls

i picture them as homo sapiens
who carry an arctic with them
and wonder how they could make
friends and warm them up
cold cold people with cold cold faces
who could cut deeper to the bone
than ice and snow

inspired by

A Child's Amaze
SILENT and amazed, even when a little boy,
I remember I heard the preacher every Sunday put God in his
statements,
As contending against some being or influence.

Food

There's a ghost in my fridge I hear a hum
When I open the door there is no one
No matter how hard I look
There's nothing there except some food long time cooked
Happiness can come in many ways
Mine's a cold beer on the second tray.
For I daren't touch the food you see
Its got hair all over it and growls at me.

Zebras Crossing The Street

Leaving the whole week behind
Stop the trouble, open your mind.
Is it the life you want to live?
Clear up your mind, zebras crossing the street,
Loosing control, everything is in your hand!
Running around, down the street,
Buying some frozen food, put it in a fridge.
Turn up the music louder.
Thank god it's friday ...

Luck

It's cold outside in the middle of the winter and my brain's in
the fridge
Would you know what shape I'm in
Point things in the better I'm lucky if I even give in to the sin
Would you know what shape I'm in
Chorus:
And it's all been luck until now
Caught in the race of up to down
Photography mixed in the monogamy keepin' my world happenin'
Would you know what shape I'm in
I know that I'm better when I know that you're better and I'll hold you again
Would you know what shape I'm in
(Chorus)
And it's all been luck until now
I only hope that you'll still want me now
And it's gonna rage it's gonna stay with you always
Every second counts on you to prove you're off the ground
It's cold outside in the middle of winter and my brains in
the fridge
Point things in the better I'm lucky if I even give in to the sin
And it's all been luck until now
And it's all been luck until now
And it's all been luck until now
Caught in the race of up to down now
It's all been luck until now
Caught in the race of up to down
It's all been luck until now
I only hope that you'll still want me
Forever want me now
Still want me now
Still want me now
Still want me now

Busy Day

Plans for Today

Listen to the doves cooing
Have coffee on the patio
Solve the Mideast crisis
Devise ingenious scheme to make millions
from working out of my home
Stare into the fridge a while
Take a nap
Solve the oil shortage
Come up with that clever comeback, that I couldn’t
Come up with years ago
Study for world lit. exam
Take a nap
Try to remember what it was I forgot to do
Travel back in time a bit
Lament the fact that birds won’t let you pet them
Wonder why people act the way they do
Figure out how the Egyptians built the pyramids
Figure out why
Think about doing some vigorous exercise
Take a nap
Do some serious scratchin’ of a wide assortment of itches
Take a walk and think about jogging
Forget about jogging
Remember how to get back home
Take a nap
Rummage through the fridge
Eat a piece of cheese (after scraping off the blue and green mold)
Decide to vote for the independent candidate next election
Wonder where the heck the day went
Wonder why so many people are fat
Think about good food
Look in fridge again
Pet and praise the pup for poo-ing outside
Eat some sardines and crackers
Remember pleasant people, happy times and warm places
Annoy the parakeets by whistling back at them
Play some tennis (at least in my mind)
Nod off for a bit
Wonder why I have hundreds of channels… and nothing to watch
Escape reality in the comfort of a book
Make up lives for the people I watch at McDonalds and walmart
Push the future as far off into the future as I can
Spend some time feeling sorry for myself
Look in the fridge
Try to write something meaningful
Read it later… delet it
Write something trivial, post it…regret it
Look in the mirror and sigh
Go to bed and read for awhile
Then lie wide awake stare at the ceiling and worry
Make plans for tomorrow..
And sigh

Submission To A Badly Writ Poem

There is a theory about single women [of a certain age]

That like the freudian slip up

They are one cat owners

Some inhabit a single room

Some have a one bed flat

[They are hidden in basements]

They have bad hair and teeth

They have kept their secret behind old photographs

They keep friends to the past

At the back of the fridge shelf with the old vegetation

Taking up residence

Wearing the same out of date dress

Dancing alone

Out of time

Who told them this?

When did this happen?

Who wrote the expiry date on the label

'marked woman thirty and upward going nowhere?

Some people [they are always on mass and nameless]

Believe in labels and counting calories

They live on green salad and french fries

And old movies? did I say 'old'

Who told them this?

Who took away their names?

Took up residence in their minds

A Primera Luz

you wake up only to find out
that at this hour you are confused with
what to do first

you rise put on propriety
you walk towards the fridge
you open it to
have a cold glass of water
to drink and feel
the coldness of this
still gray hour

there is no difference
it is the same cold moment
like last night's
old temperament
when you had problems about
what to do
with your life when you took off
propriety
and lay your self naked against
light of the ceiling's
indifference

there is simply no one that fits
the one that you dream: so sweet
and enduring
the eternal goodness that you
still hope for

there is no one,
no one

perhaps there could be good news
on a primera luz.

Chaste the Whip

Chaste the Whip

Try to refrain and rebuild that Erosbridge
cold is the love moving from the flog
all someone adds moves into this fridge
harsh is this streetlife for a strayed dog
Many people are at contradiction
when they say they for love crave
their vita sexualis at damnation
when not hitted or hurt then they rave
Only the drive at will they lack
the first of social codes and rules
they seem to like it all to sack
in loneliness which makes them fools
An answer not mirrored is in sway
a feeling not responded to a lost
and every tick that time just nods away
just seems a pebble more this pond of cost
All someone else does is compensation
a mere attempt to avoid beloved to fail
not a boosting up your selfrelation
then, this love and friendship just another jail
Try to refrain and rebuild that Erosbridge
cold is the love moving from the flog
all someone adds moves into this fridge
harsh is this streetlife for a strayed dog

042211I please try it

i box food i wasn't able to eat
which i usually throw it away
after watching documentaries
in far away land where food
is scarce that sometimes
riots occur just for buying

situation; sometimes i forget
in my fridge and i feel guilty
i write date on it; sometimes
i color code those boxes
most are meats and fruits
please try it, conserve food

From within the Unlit Fridge

If I were asked to name a god,
I'd invent one for chocolate.
For this is the substance,
That puts an end to all sadness.

Late at night, out of the unlit fridge,
I pull a very chocolatey, chocolate cake –
Nothing else in the world could sooth me now.
