A Pair Of Sneakers Bemoan Never Having A Day Off
When you were a baby a sleepin in your cot
Your feet were too small to fit us all
You could barely crawl in your wee teeny socks
And so I sat qute content in the loft
enjoying the freedom of endless days off!
But now you are grown to seventeen stone
You never give me a rest
Once your tootsies are in
I don't get a look in
As your feet rarely leave me alone
Once I was the guest
Now enslaved to your feet
All day I expand and I squeak!
For fourteen hours a day
I just can't get away
From the rot and the sweat of your feet
Why not wear sandals when the Sun shines so hot?
It's not a scandal to give me a rest
When you pick up the pace
I often grimace
As you 'stroll in your shorts and your vest
Once I had a say once I was the guest
Now this smelly affair is my lot
Don't you know it's a treat to walk in bare feet
And give me a well earned day off!

Pointy Toes
Pointy toes,
Elegance shows.
A dancer's feet,
Worn and Weary,
A ballerina's feat,
Makes it look easy.
We abuse our feet,
Scrapped till it bites,
We abuse our feet,
Tie knots too tight,
We abuse our feet,
Stand till sore,
We abuse our feet,
Curl like claw.
High heels, tall.
We abuse our feet,
Bound feet small.
Abuse our feet most than rest of body?
Take care, your feet, Everybody.
Hearts Made Of Feet!
and so we struggle,
turning in the womb,
choked by the cord.
conceived in darkness,
becoming light!
we are hearts made of feet,
feet that walk the path.
feet that slip and fall,
feet that take the wrong turn.
feet that keep on walking,
sore, tired, hurting.
feet of desire, and purpose,
feet of soulful intent!
all the great philosophies
come to this...
feet that only stop walking
to bandage other feet;
then walk together,
leaving one set of prints!

Variant Form Of The Preceding Poem
COME to me, all ye that labour; I will give your spirits rest;
Here apart in starry quiet I will give you rest.
Come to me, ye heavy laden, sin defiled and care opprest,
In your father's quiet mansions, soon to prove a welcome guest.
But an hour you bear your trial, sin and suffer, bleed and die;
But an hour you toil and combat here in day's inspiring eye.
See the feet of your deliverer; lo, the hour of freedom nigh.

Wheeled Feet
The feet have wheels of young endeavor,
Their signs are numerous and weighty,
For the weeks go by to succumb to pain
As the days roll by, as the days always sigh.
My Wednesdays are Thursdays,
And their feet ache for the rest of the saying.
These toes are bitten by the cold and frost
That starts to rot with age and reasons.
My ice pertains to processions,
The avalanche of the hungry abode;
A real rest achieves much in the worst
Of crimes.
Why do feet munch at the ridges?
Many solutions are pondered over
After the doors are opened to sin.
Why do my feet retain their time to expand?
This rests the case of the oblivion
That encases us now and forever.
My legs are encumbered by the bright light
Accessing the confines of my household.

Whenever I think of you, you are alone
Whenever I think of you, you are alone,
Shut by yourself between
Great walls of stone.
There is a stool, I think, and a table there,
And a mat underneath your feet;
And the rest is bare.
I cannot stop remembering this, my own,
Seventeen hours of the day
You are alone.

Hat And Feet
Hat And Feet
Fountains Of Wayne
I'm just a hat and feet
That's all that's left of me
A spot on the sidewalk
A mark on the street
I'm just a hat and feet
I'm just a hat and feet
You dropped a bomb on me
I didn't even see
Like a falling piano
From out of the window
Now I'm just a hat and feet
I'm just a hat and feet
I'm just a sitting duck
That ran out of luck
I'm the unhappy guy
That didn't look up high
I started running when I saw it coming
It got faster and louder til I took a powder
Now
I'm just a hat and feet
That's what 's become of me
Flat on the sidewalk
Stuck in the street
I'm just a hat and feet
I'm just a hat and feet

A Song Of Riches
What will you give to a barefoot lass,
Morning with breath like wine?
Wade, bare feet! In my wide morass
Starry marigolds shine.
Alms, sweet Noon, for a barefoot lass,
With her laughing looks aglow!
Run, bare feet! In my fragrant grass
Golden buttercups blow.
Gift, a gift for a barefoot lass,
O twilight hour of dreams!
Rest, bare feet, by my lake of glass,
Where the mirrored sunset gleams.
Homeward the weary merchants pass,
With the gold bedimmed by care.
Little they wise that the barefoot lass
Is the only millionaire.

Take A Load Of Your Feet
I do them when Im down in the tub
With avocado cream theyll take a rub
They wrinkle like a-raisins if I stay too long
I wouldnt want to do it wrong
Theyll put you in the drivers seat
And to the table when you want to eat
But when you go to sit down in your chair
Something else has gotta put you there
Take good care of your feet, pete
You better watch out what you eat, pete
Better take care of your life
cause nobody else will
Theyll twinkle when you fall in love
And put you there when you jump up above
When youre on the spot, get em right under you
One, then the other too
If you want to do the right thing for em
Just take a walk in the grass
But dont you catch yourself fallin
Or steppin on a piece of glass
(ouch glass)
Pete knows all the treacherous blows
The fallen arches and the cramp in the toes
He went to h. e. l. p. and got some sandals new
And dusty old saunas too
Take a load of your feet pete
You better watch out what you eat
Better take care of your life
cause nobody else will
Do do do do do do do do do do
Petes feet are your feet oh
Do do do do do do do do do do
Petes feet are your feet oh
Do do do do do do do do do do
Oh!
Petes feet are your feet oh

Ode to My Socks
Mara Mori brought me
a pair of socks
which she knitted herself
with her sheepherder's hands,
two socks as soft as rabbits.
I slipped my feet into them
as if they were two cases
knitted with threads of twilight and goatskin,
Violent socks,
my feet were two fish made of wool,
two long sharks
sea blue, shot through
by one golden thread,
two immense blackbirds,
two cannons,
my feet were honored in this way
by these heavenly socks.
They were so handsome for the first time
my feet seemed to me unacceptable
like two decrepit firemen,
firemen unworthy of that woven fire,
of those glowing socks.
Nevertheless, I resisted the sharp temptation
to save them somewhere as schoolboys
keep fireflies,
as learned men collect
sacred texts,
I resisted the mad impulse to put them
in a golden cage and each day give them
birdseed and pieces of pink melon.
Like explorers in the jungle
who hand over the very rare green deer
to the spit and eat it with remorse,
I stretched out my feet and pulled on
the magnificent socks and then my shoes.
The moral of my ode is this:
beauty is twice beauty
and what is good is doubly good
when it is a matter of two socks
made of wool in winter.

I like feet. I definitely have a fetish. I love to see a man's bare foot, but its got to be taken care of. If they're not well manicured, you've got to wonder what the rest of him is like. I don't want to get in bed with somebody and feel his gnarly feet.

I Like You The Way You Are (Don't Change Your Love)
MICAHEL JACKSON feat. BRITNEY SPEARS
the way you make me feel
(Live at Michael Jackson's 30th Anniversary Concert Tribute)
MICHAEL:
Hey pretty baby with the high heels on
You give me fever like I've never, ever known
I feel your fever from miles around
I'll pick you up in my car and we'll paint the town
Just kiss me baby and tell me twice
That you're the one for
MICHAEL:
The way you make me feel, babe
You really turn me on
You knock me off of my feet
Hee
My lonely days are gone
Ooh
[MICHAEL] (BRITNEY):
(I like the feeling you're giving me)
(Just hold me closer baby, I'm in ecstasy)
[Oh, I'll be working from nine to five]
[To buy you things to keep you by my side]
(I never felt so in love before)
(Just promise baby, you'll love me forevermore)
[(I swear I'm keeping you satisfied)]
[(Cuz you're the one for me)]
[MICHAEL] (BRITNEY):
[The way you make me feel]
(The way you make me feel)
[You really turn me on]
(You really turn me on)
[You knock me off of my feet]

(You knock me off of my feet)
[My lonely days are gone]
(My lonely days are gone)
[Ooh]
[MICHAEL] (BRITNEY):
[Go on girl]
(I never felt so in love before)
[Promise baby, you'll love me forevermore]

Cold Feet
There was a little boy once upon a time
Who in spite of his young age and small size knew his mind
For every copper penny and clover he would find
Make a wish for better days the end of hard times
For no more cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
His clothes were always clean
His face was always scrubbed
There was food on the table enough to fill him up
His house was full of life - his house was full of love
But when winter days arrived
There was never money enough to shod his cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He grew up to be a worker determined to succeed
He made a life for himself, free from worldly wants or needs
But with nobody to share the life hed made
No body to keep him warm at night
When hed go to sleep hed sleep alone with his cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
One night he walked the street looking to the heavens above
Searching for a shooting star a benevolent god
When a woman passing by brushed his arm
He turned and found love
He then wished for the courage to ask this stranger
Who she was to not have cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He thought shed like the party life and want the finer things
So he promised more than he could buy
And he promised her the sun and moon to not have cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He worked day and night his fingers to the bone
Hi worried mind guilty conscience drive him on
He cant give her what she needs
He wants to give her what he thinks she wants
Her sad-eyed face, his empty pockets drive him on and his cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
Hed struggled all his life to be an honest man
Proud that the dirt on his palms was the soil of the land
But some guys he knew from high school days
Said they had a plan to get rich quick
And they could count him in if he dont have cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He thought about their offer accepted it without qualms
Dreamt about the life hed buy
The comfort that would come without cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He decided to tell his wife things would soon turn around
He said the little boy is dead
A man stands with you now without cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
Without cold feet - cold cold cold cold feet
He thought hed set his clock right - he though hed read his watch
He left in such a hurry he didnt think to wish for luck
Makes no difference if youre early - no difference if youre late
When youre out of time - the flowers have been laid
Youre six feet underground
With cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet

Under My Feet
Its a hard life
Never let yourself get down
You may never get back
You may never ever turn it round
You may say it took you by surprise
Never ending
Never changing
I didnt see through your disguise
It took my breath away
Under my feet
The earth shook
Under my feet
The earth just fell away
Under my feet
Gave way
Did you ever want to take a chance
Never thought the time would come round
Quite so fast
Would you walk right thro that wall
And keep on walking till you
Couldnt stand on your feet no more
But you came and took me by surprise
When you stole up on me
I didnt see thro your disguise
It took my breath away
Under my feet
The earth shook
Under my feet
The earth just fell away
Under my feet - gave way
Where were you
When I needed you
Where were you
When I needed you
Where were you
Where were you - Im holding on
Under my feet
The earth shook
Under my feet
The earth just fell away
Under my feet - gave way
Under my feet
The earth shook
Right under my feet
Gave way

Bound Feet
Ancient Chinese oddities were
As myriad as its people.
One of these were bound feet.
A Chinese gentleman judged his woman
By the feet in those days.
Her face mattered but more were her
Feet which had to be as small
As three-inches, a society gauge for
Her breeding and status.
Confucius needs to take part of the
Blame for saying women are born to
Serve their men and no other
Which spawned the bound feet tradition.
Years of pains, tears and sleepless
Nights went into making these
Chinese women walk in little gaits as
Required of a lady, a sign that she was
Not a product of household chores.
Big feet equalled slavery and low births.
An ego trip, it was, for the adherents.

Trouble In Mind
(you know right now Ive got trouble in mind)
Shes a special girl who wants to treat me right
I can tell by the way that she walks
A woman of the world who likes the city lights
I can tell by the way that she talks
I cant remember where it happened all too fast
I dont know what you really want me to say
But when she walked on by there was no turning back
I knew shed steal my emotions away
Oh all this talk about whats wrong or right
We gotta get to the bottom of this tonight
Chorus:
And if I ever get back on my feet again
I wont give you up oh-no
And we can always look back on what should have been
But honey right now Ive got trouble in mind (little trouble)
The word will get around thats just the way it is
But dont believe everything that you hear
Cos when it all comes down to a love like this
All the rumors will soon disappear
Oh love can travel on a broken line
But baby everybody has to take a chance sometime
And if I ever get back on my feet again
I wont give you up oh-no
And we can always look back on what should have been
But honey right now Ive got some, some trouble in mind
Somehow theres something that Im missin
I cant let you know oh-no
(right now) I gotta try and make you listen
Ill be back in time
Waiting at the end of the line
(guitar solo)
Love can travel on a broken line
Everybody has to take a chance sometime
And if I ever get back on my feet again
I wont give you up oh-no
Cos we can always look back on what should have been
Cos you know honey right now Ive got trouble in mind
And if I ever get back on my feet again
I wont give you up oh-no
And we can always look back on what should have been
But baby right now Ive got trouble in mind
Nothin but trouble
(you know right now Ive got trouble in mind)
(you know right now Ive got trouble in mind)
Lock me up and throw away the key
(you know right now Ive got trouble in mind)
Ive got it bad
(you know right now Ive got trouble in mind)...

His Saint Feet
The feet of our Lord walked
Along the dusty roads,
Scratched by the stones.
Along the narrow paths,
Cared by the green grasses.
Those Saint Feet were not aware of tiredness,
He walked His way with worthiness.
Beyond an ordinary strength those feet walked.
Days and nights,
Proclaiming to avoid the fights.
Those feet were washed by tears,
Those feet didn’t know any fears.
People knew those feet,
They didn’t want them to bleed.
Those who brought their sin to His feet
Were blessed and greeted.
That’s how he treated everyone.
But a betrayal was done.
His body was crucified.
Some people cried,
Some stood aside.
The same happens today.
And here I would like to say:
If you don’t trust
You will stay in dust.
And if you are a sinner,
Looking for salvation
Or wishing to get rid of temptation
Kneel before His feet,
Pray and ask for forgiveness
And you will go up to fineness.

Never Say Die
You look so sad - like you lost your only friend
Dont feel so bad - you can always try again
So dont hide, go seek, dont let the grass grow
Under your feet
Get out, get up, get on, get moving out
Dont surrender - dont give up the fight
You give a little bit more
If you want her back - its a full attack
You give a little bit more
And if you wanna win you dont give in you
Give a little bit more
When you think youre through what you gotta do is
Give a little bit more
She said goodbye
So tell yourself thats all
(thats all, shes gone)
But your hands aint tied
Why you make yourself so small (dont think so small)
So dont hide - go seek - dont let the grass grow
Under your feet
Get out - get up - get on - get moving out
Dont surrender - dont give up the fight
You give a little bit more
If you want her back - its a full attack
You give a little bit more
And if you wanna win you dont give in
Give a little bit more
When you think youre through what you gotta do you
Give a little bit more
Dont give up the fight - you gotta keep on
Going with all you might
Try hard dont stop - gotta keep on giving it
All you got
Never give up - never give up - never say die
Believe in, can reach the top
Gotta give it a shot dont say no gotta
Get in the flow
So dont hide go seek
Dont runaway - get back on your feet
Get out - get up - get on - get moving out
Dont surrender - dont give up the fight
You give a little bit more
If you want her back - its a full attack
You give a little bit more
And if you wanna win you dont give in
Give a little bit more
When you think youre through what you gotta do
Give a little bit more

Feet
Your feet:
Dirt road walkers
Mud squeezers
Street passers
Bike riders
and Caressers
My feet:
In frailty
accepts time’s cruelty
and age with beauty.
Hardly four feet climb
hills and mountains
Can crawl up legs
Wind calf,
inch round
hard thigh
Feet winds up in bed.

I Could Feel The Whole World Turn Around Underneath Me
When I first saw you this strange kind of feeling set my head a-reeling
Like I hit the ceiling.
The same thing happened to me then, baby.
Something kind of crazy and everything went hazy.
Lightning and thunder shook the ground.
And I could feet the whole world turn round underneath me.
I could feet the whole world turn round.
My, have you never been set on fire?
Burning with desire growing higher and higher.
Like on a funny fair big wheel stopping when you are to topping,
The you feel it dropping
Rising and heaven falling down.
And I could feet the whole world turn round underneath me.
I could feet the whole world turn round.
I took my breath as though Ive been running.
Quite completely stunning, holy, overcoming.
And in a funny way it seemed frightening.
Tension and a hardening
Thunder and the lightning
And Ive grown the singer who wrote that song.
And I could feet the whole world turn round underneath me.
I could feet the whole world turn round when youre near me.
I could feet the whole world turn round.
I could feet the whole world turn round underneath me.
I could feet the whole world turn round when youre near me.
I could feet the whole world turn round.
