Just A Little Bit
(words & music by thornton - brown - bass - washington)
I dot want much
Just want a little bit
Dont want it all
Just a little bit
Give me an eeny weeny bit
A teeny weeny bit of your love
Turn your lamps down low
Slip me a kiss
Turn your lights down low
I wont let you resist
I want an eeny weeny bit
A teeny weeny bit of your love
Early in the mornin
Well just a little bit
Around midnight
Just a little bit
I want an eeny weeny bit
A teeny weeny bit of your love
Walk with me
Just a little bit
I said talk to me
Just a little bit
I want an eeny weeny bit
A teeny weeny bit of your love
I want you to remember
To say that youll be mine
Say youll never leave me
Till the end of time
I want an eeny weeny bit
A teeny weeny bit of your love
I want an eeny weeny bit
A teeny weeny bit of your love

Just A Little Bit
I dont want it all, I just want a little bit.
No, I dont want it all, I just want a little bit,
Just a teeny weeny bit, baby, a teeny weeny bit of your love.
Turn your lights down low, baby I just want a kiss,
Honey then I know I just cant resist,
Just a teeny weeny bit, baby, a teeny weeny bit of your love.
I wanna love you forever, I just want peace of mind.
Say youll leave me never, honey be so kind,
I just want a teeny weeny bit, baby, a teeny weeny bit of your love.
Now early in the morning, yeah, I want a little bit, yeah,
And all night long, I want, I want a little bit, yeah, a little bit,
Just a teeny weeny bit, a teeny weeny bit of your love.

Just A Little Bit Of You
Just a little bit of you every day
Will surely keep the doctor away
Just a little bit of you every day
Will surely keep the doctor away
I told my mama how I feel about your power
Your love can heal, cant no doctors remedy
Ever do what you do for me
Just a little bit of you every day
Will surely keep the doctor away
Eeny weeny teeny bit of your love
Baby its all I need, its all I need
Since the day Ive been loving you
I cant catch a cold, I cant catch the flu
The sweet loving youve been giving me
Has become my daily need
Just a little o your love, every day
Its all I need, thats all I need
Just a little bit baby
Thats all I need, thats all I need
So dont send no doctor to my door
cause doctor john been here before
Dont you send him, just come yourself
Bring your loving and nothing else
Ooh just a, just a,
Just a little bit of you every day
Will surely keep the doctor away
Just a little bit of you every day
Will surely keep the doctor away

Eeny, meeny, miny, moe
Catch an Arab by the toe
If he bombs you let him go,
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe
Catch a Bush by the toe
If he bombs you too let him go,
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe
Catch a musharaff by the toe
If he shoots you let him go,
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe
Catch a GMA by the toe
If She lies you let her go,
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.
Now it is your turn
take all the fun
still take the pun
still hop and pop
and fart and dart.

Day At The Beach
Mimi is my Lolli-pop sweet heart
Me and Mimi will never set apart
We spend the day on the beach
The sky is bright and blue
The Sea is sparkling azure
As far as your eyes can see
Mimi is dressed in pink bikini
Oh' teeny weeny
Mimi is a melody
a song of happiness and cheer
We run together holding hands
We twirl around
and fall on the sand
We get closer exchanging hugs
smooches and kisses
laughs and whispers
time passes lovely as fairy tales
The Birds fly in flocks
Watching over
happily flapping wings
singing and swinging
How beautiful it is
our day on the beach

Look, I'm Not In Love!
No, you've got it wrong! I don't love her.
Yes, she's cute. Yes, she's nice. God, she's nice...
OK, OK, I admit it! Big deal!
You happy now?
Loads of lassies out there just as cute, just as nice!
Why would I pick her?
Why not the girl across the road?
Why not the girl around the corner?
I don't have to pick wossername.
Yes, I know her name! It's Lucy.
Now you're bound to want to say, I love Lucy!
It rolls off the tongue!
Then you'll start to thinking I'm having a ball...
You can't help playing the matchmaker!
Just let things be, eh?
Just try your luck with someone else. Why pick on me?
Yes, I'm single. OK, she's single... what of it?
She'll probably marry some guy!
He doesn't have to be me, does he?
What... she said she likes me?
That's natural. I'm easy-going.
She likes my eyes? What for?
They're just teeny weeny eyeballs.
She says I've got kind eyes? Well, she has, too!
They're quite blue, actually, like sapphires...
Or topaz or soft amethyst... A bit like mother of pearl...
Yes... she IS a lovely girl... and every now and then,
When she smiles, I get this warm feeling, all over...
But that can't be love, can it? Not real love?
Does she really like me? What... REALLY?

just how right I am
I just can’t understand
how it is that
the world can’t understand
how right I am
and how wrong it is
OK, we’ll excuse the world, for the moment,
since it is far removed from my person
and my mind
so it can’t really be expected to understand my
unfailing rightness:
just how right I am and how just I am;
but the family, my family –
no, not the family of man
but the damned family of mine, my blood and bones and skin –
I can’t understand for the world of me
why my own family
that eats at the table with me
can’t understand
how right I am
and wrong they are…
just how right I am
and how just I am…
Look, I can understand about the world
but I just can’t understand
how the family….
I mean, this is where the family is important
for if the family can give me
just a little support –
just a teeny-weeny bit – I mean how much
does it take
for the family to see
how right I am
and how wrong the family is.
Is that really asking for too much?
You see, I’m sure you can see,
if only the family could agree
the world itself would see
how right I am…
But what is to be done?
prophets are never accepted
in their own home
and so in their own family too…
and so perhaps the truth lies in this cliché…
still, if one looks at it clearly,
I just can’t understand
how it is that
the world, which includes that silly family of mine,
can’t understand
how right I am
and how wrong it is

Her Heart Is Like A Rainbow!
Yes, her heart is like a rainbow God set upon the sky,
For here we see such colours flow, like twinkles in each eye!
Resplendent smiles transmit such joy that viewers stare amazed!
That's why she's liked by every boy and by each man she's praised!
When love begins to weave its spell to catch you unawares,
There's just no way that you can tell despite a million prayers...
Love strikes you like a thunderbolt - then suddenly you're caught!
Your heart is racing like a colt! She fills your every thought!
You hang upon her every word - a doting devotee!
Romance is kindled, hopes are stirred and even poetry!
They say that true love conquers all! It's friendly all the time!
You'll not find out until you fall... Like rainbows, love's sublime!
True love has secrets all its own to teach us tenderness...
One smile can melt a heart of stone, its emptiness to bless!
That's why her smile has magic, too, that only lovers sense...
To channel upbeat thoughts to you and all who are her friends...
There is no star that shines above to match her majesty!
So speaks the heart that's filled with love and knows its mystery!
Somehow she changes everything! It's magic, so it is!
Or could it be just the hoping for one teeny-weeny kiss?

Righteous Block!
With all my soul, I know in truth, a poem's on its way!
I've waited here to show the proof and I'll wait here all day!
No tea for me, no slice of cake! I'll starve till it gets done!
Yes, pretty soon, the clouds will break to share the golden sun!
Send light, o Lord, I've got my pen! The paper's here as well!
Though now it's all beyond my ken, I've got a tale to tell!
It's up to You! Just send it down! Some whimsy to amuse...
Some prose that's meant to ease a frown. Some doggerel if You choose.
'Pretty please! ' Oh, won't You tell me? I'm all ears... time to talk!
Nope, there's nothing much on telly! No need to sit and gawk!
I'm trying to be patient 'cos You're busy all the time...
Oh, go on... pleeeeze.... Believe me, Boss... I'm ready for a rhyme!
Some blessing that can be outpoured like wine straight from a cask!
A teeny weeny poem, Lord! Is that too much to ask?
You write much better than I do! I'm not in Your league yet!
Most times I haven't got a clue... You're really my best bet!
My, my, that hour sure went slow! I've tapped my fingers out!
I'm feeling lonely here below! What's Your poem about! ?
Don't hold it back! Just let it fly! Feel free to step on in...
These silences sure make me sigh! Sometimes I just can't WIN! !

The Bush Fire
Let's have a tiny little bush fire.
It's a cold, cold night tonight.
We are sick of this long session
Of the darkness of depression.
And a fire would make things bright.
Just a teeny, weeny little bushfire;
It's easily controlled.
We can sit around and watch it;
If it spreads we'll simply scotch it.
But we must keep out the cold.
Oh, let's have the smallest little bush fire;
It's a fair thing in this storm.
There are plenty here to fight it,
So just strike a match and light it. . . .
Ah! Now we'll all get warm.
Hey! Watch there! The blooming thing is spreading!
Don't let it catch those trees!
Now that clump of scrub has caught it!
Well who ever would have thought it?
There's a change, too, in the breeze.
It was only just a tiny little bushfire,
But it's leaping, roaring now
And we can't hope to defeat it,
Better grab your traps and beat it
For we must get out somehow.
It was only just a harmless little bushfire
But, gosh! How it did burn!
Now the old homestead is blazing.
Well it's certainly amazing;
But a man must live and learn.

Eeny Meeny Miney Mo
Eeny meeny miney mo
Catch your troubles by the toe
If it hollers let it go
Let it fly away
Eeny meeny miney mo
It's the saying high and low
Hear it everywhere you go
Every time of day
Big Ben rings it
Vallee sings it
Whitewood swings it
Even Mr. Crosby bings it

The Kick
First I tried a Dry Martini;
But found not one teeny-weeny
Semblance of a kick in any kind of this.
Then I sampled a Manhattan;
But 'twas much the same with that 'un;
And as impotent I found an Angel's Kiss.
So I drank the menu thro';
Side-car, Bronx and Gin-and-Two.
Such innocuous concoctions left me sad.
And I yearned with eager yearning
For a cocktail, sudden, burning,
That might give a man a jolt and make him glad.
Then a fellow, somewhat seedy,
Down at heel and seeming needy,
said, 'If it's a kick you're seeking, come with me.'
So we went into a garden
That to me seemed partly Arden,
Partly, Eden; and we sat beneath a tree.
Here my friend produced a bottle,
Drew the stopper from its throttle,
And, pouring out a nip, said, 'Drink this, quick!'
No least hesitation followed;
I threw back my head and swallowed.
Oh, boy! Oh, res and furies! What a kick!
Green lightnings and blue blazes!
Fierce stars in fiery hazes!
Pink elephants that flapped about the sky! ...
When I woke, some five hours later,
Feeling queer at the equator,
'Great Scott! How do you make that stuff?' said I.
'First of all,' he proudly stated,
'Take a pint of methylated,
Stir in varnish, an' some 'air oil, just a drop.
Then, if pep should still be lackin',
Add turps, an' a tin of blackin'.
Me own invention, called the Fitzcray Flop.'

Mighty Mum!
As Mighty Mum prepared her day,
Her little list grew long,
But she cast all her doubts away,
My word, she's really strong!
Her faith was but a mustard seed,
A teeny-weeny thing,
Yet she knew where such faith could lead,
What wonders God could bring!
As Mighty Mum, with kids in tow,
Drove onwards to their school,
She prayed their minds would someday know
That love's the Golden Rule...
If not for love, she'd stand no chance!
Her powers soon would fade...
She knew God's powers would enhance
To help her make the grade...
As Mighty Mum kissed kids bye-bye,
She waved then bid farewell,
To speed along, morale still high,
As if saved by the bell...
Now orf to work! So orf she went
Intent to do her best,
Where every one was like a friend
By whom she was impressed...
As Mighty Mum arrived on time,
She organised each task,
As if each mountain meant to climb
And folks had but to ask...
She toiled and toiled and toiled and toiled,
Yet teamwork worked O.K.
Such that each setback had been foiled!
Yeah, praise the Lord! Hoorah!
As Mighty Mum left work once more,
The shopping must be done!
She'd saved a fortune that's for sure!
In fact, she thought it fun!
Then she drove home, then made the tea,
Then heard the mobile phone...
'Hey, Mighty Mum! It's half-past-three!
We're still at school alone! '
As Mighty Mum left home again,
She made her way to school,
She knew kids don't forget this when
Their Mum thinks she's so cool...
But Mighty Mum had come this far!
She prayed that she'd improve...
'God help me be their Superstar! '
And that's the Gospel Truth...

At Halloween
At Halloween, when nightmares start
And all things go awry
And there come strains upon the heart
Such that we're prone to die
And all at once a startling sound
Leaps like a lion's pounce,
It's then hobgoblins come around
And when your courage counts!
At Halloween, when ghoulies go
About the business here
And howling storms begin to grow
And growl as if with fear
And lightning strikes both Man and tree
And beast that's in the field,
It's then the ghosts are plain to see
With nothing left concealed!
At Halloween, when witches fly
On broomsticks high above
And brave old dogs begin to cry
When they've all seen enough
And little girls and little boys
Are told to go to sleep,
It's then the vampires steal their toys
And all their trinkets keep!
At Halloween, when warlocks scheme
To bring all kinds of hells
And sorcerers join as a team
As wizards cast their spells
And leprechauns protect their gold
And to the death they'll fight,
It's then policemen aren't so bold
And won't go out at night!
At Halloween, when mortals pray
For sunshine once again
And for the moon to pass away
Till noon's struck by Big Ben
And scaredy cats are mortified
By teeny weeny mice,
It's then your eyes are open wide
If you're touched by surprise!
At Halloween, I stay in bed!
I won't go out at all!
The blankets hide my trembling head!
I can't stand, walk or crawl!
The lights stay on all through the night!
I play the music loud!
Of course, I know I look a sight...
But so would you, no doubt!

She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
Plowin' these fields in the hot summer sun
Over by the gate lordy here she comes
With a basket full of chicken and a big cold jug of sweet tea
I make a little room and she climbs on up
Open up a throttle and stir a little dust
Just look at her face she ain't a foolin' me
She thinks my tractor's sexy
It really turns her on
She's always starin' at me
While I'm chuggin' along
She likes the way it's pullin' while we're tillin' up the land
She's even kind of crazy 'bout my farmer's tan
She's the only one who really understands what gets me
She thinks my tractor's sexy
We ride back and forth 'til we run out of light
Take it to the barn put it up for the night
Climb up in the loft sit and talk with the radio on
She said she's got a dream and I asked what it is
She wants a little farm and a yard full of kids
One more teeny weeny ride before take her home
She thinks my tractor's sexy
It really turns her on
She's always starin' at me
While I'm chuggin' along
She likes the way it's pullin' while we're tillin' up the land
She's even kind of crazy 'bout my farmer's tan

She thinks my tractor's sexy
Well she ain't into cars or pickup trucks
But if it runs like a Deere man her eyes light up

The Mouse and the Grouse
The teeny, tiny mouse said to the finely feathered grouse
“I’d like to come and visit you in your lofty, lovely house.”
The finely feathered grouse smiled at the teeny, tiny mouse
And said, “You can’t since I'm saving it for my future spouse.”
The sad teeny, tiny mouse said, as tears started to douse,
“I’m lonely and just wanted to say hello, finely feathered grouse.”
Well, the finely feathered grouse with his lofty, lovely house
Was lonely too since he hadn’t yet found his future spouse.
But how could a mouse so teeny, tiny and a grouse so fine of feather
Ever visit each other and have a talk together?
They had nothing in common and their lives had different starts.
Although one thing was the same; they both had hurting hearts.
No one had ever visited the finely feathered grouse
And he did like friendly words uttered by the teeny, tiny mouse.
As mister mouse gazed aloft, sir grouse returned that smile
And suddenly blurted out, “Come on up and we’ll chat for awhile.”
Overjoyed, the teeny, tiny mouse jumped, but just bumped the tree.
Then tears wet ears to tail as teeny tiny moaned mournfully,
“You can fly free through the air, but alas, I’m earthbound.
There’s no hope since you live in a tree, but my house is on the ground.”
Suddenly, a star from the heavens flashed an idea for these two.
Perhaps they could visit together if both tried something new.
The finely feathered grouse left his lofty, lovely house
And eagerly landed in a bush near the star struck tiny mouse.
In one hop teeny, tiny leapt toward the bush, and I’ve heard tell
That the friendship of grouse and mouse has been doing very well.

Better Slow Down
(steve segal/myles goodwyn)
Published by mfg sing sing music/deeny weeny publishing/socan - ascap
Aint no time to fool around
Man I gotta hit this town tonight, I feel alright
Ive been standing in one place too long
Listening to that same old song
And you know, baby I gotta go, yeah
Bright lights, comin up real fast
All night, I gotta make this moment last
Headlights, pullin up beside me
A man pulled me over, gets out of his car
And he said, you better slow down
Busy pumpin of the feet
Bodies movin in the heat all night, and thats alright
Im lookin at the way she moves
Cookin up and turnin grooves
As she does, could this be love
Bright lights, shes comin up real close
All night, I gotta make the most of it
So nice, shes rubbin up beside me
Then she pulls back a little, looks to me in the eye
To say, you better slow down
Drinkin wine and movin fast
I dont know if Im gonna last the night, and that aint right
The guy who stopped mes puffin smoke
Asked me if I want a toke
Hey whats this baby, you know that aint right
Bright lights, spinnin all around
All night, Im goin up and down
So i, stop right here, aint botherin me
Better split before Im history, huh
Alright, the man keeps comin, the lights keep spinnin
All night, its time I head for home
Alright, I gotta turn and get away from here, cause the
Bright lights, you know they just dont work for me
I gotta split from here before Im history
