Shattered Glass

Shattered glass alias,
a broken heart from the past,
wanting to avoid the glance,
the look in your eyes,
the sadness and sighs,
we just say goodby,
as we pass each other on by.

Crash

Shattered glass
Broken dreams
A nightmare it seems
To miss a boy you loved so much
To sit at his grave and wish to hug
A shattered car is all we have
Broken hearts all around
Sit by his shattered car and frown

A cross left on the side of the road
Reminds us that time is old
Lessons learned and lessons fought
Broken dreams torn apart
Sadness holds strong in our heart.

from C.A.

bloomingbirds fall from this tree
where flower seasons pass
sweetlip & petalwing now
slain upon the grass
frost & glass
frost & broken glass
barefoot on the splinters of your heart
of frost & glass
loveblind & rippingyarns
a-slither on the vine
Snowking, with your thorny eyes
my happiness conspires
frost & glass
frost & broken glass
barefoot on the splinters of your heart
of frost & glass

I Cannot Avoid You

I cannot avoid you, keep you from my thoughts
whatever I think about; you are still clinging there
and in me you stay,
I am never free from you
and I see your eyes looking at me.

Sometimes you pass in the street
and I cannot trust my feelings,
at other times I see you driving past,
I cannot avoid you.

Sometimes it feels as if this sensation wants to abate
until somewhere again I behold you
and then I know that you are in me,
that I really want to see you again,
I cannot avoid you.

I Am Not An Anchor

Forever isn't long enough
I hope that in my dreams
I get the chance to feel as whole
As when your close to me

I am not an anchor
Time has shifted me
A shattered glass
A broken past
A life left to the breeze

But if there is a method
To mend this fractured heart
I'd travel down that broken road
And make a pain-free start

Since I have seen one thousand days
And days have never changed
I walk much sure for I adore
The change that comes my way

Forever isn't twice as bad
As living with denial
A second light
A distant hope
An angel gone for now

I am not an anchor
Time has shifted me
A shattered glass
A broken past
A life left to the breeze

Some say there is a method
To mend a fractured heart
To travel down that broken road
To make a pain-free start

Since I have seen one thousand days
And days have never changed
I walk much sure for I adore
The change that comes my way

You Are Life...
To me

Broken Windows Shattered Mirrors

Broken windows shattered mirrors
The tiny slivers fall like tears
They cut me till my arms run red
They make me wish that I was dead
And though I try to carry on
I know my time here's almost gone
Broken windows shattered mirrors

Broken windows shattered mirrors
I'm surrounded by these fears
I know I shouldn't be afraid
I feel like I'm locked up in a cage
I push and pull try to get out
I scream until I just can't shout
Broken windows shattered mirrors

Broken windows shattered mirrors
I'll have bad luck seven years
I know it's just a superstition
But I also know it's pure intuition
That made me stay not fade away
So I could live another day
Broken windows shattered mirrors

Words (A True Poet)

We speak words of wisdom
when the heart is full of sadness
sometimes thoughts of happiness
when we bless the morning sun
other times just for fun
that's where a true poet comes from

We speak these words of poetry
in a timeless past
a masterpiece so vast
where motions and emotions
rush by so fast

We are all, but only one
on a empty highway lane
frost like snowflakes
on a window payne
we hold not the anger
from within
but express our lonliness
with paper and pen

Though our days are not forever
our words will always last
in this world of reality
like hours that never pass
in pastures of green grass
we're pieces of shattered glass

Beatin With A Bat

My heart,
has no pulse,
as beatless as the dead,
and as soft as clay,
but as broken,
as shattered glass,
when will that girl come along who puts the
broken remains of my heat back together
and makes my lifeless soul breath love once more?

Strangers Of The Heart

Through the mist on the harbor
Dancing lights on the water
Shadows move I see you smiling again
When I reach out to touch you
Like a ghost looking through me
Sending chills deep into me
Shattered dreams falling like
teardrops again
As you make me remember

Strangers of the heart
Always safe with words unspoken
Strangers of the heart
Don't take chances they'll get broken
No matter where you are
Hear me tonight I don't want to be
strangers at heart

Broken glass of my mirror
Makes my eyes see much clearer
You and I only a whisper away
Never telling each other

Strangers of the heart
Always safe with words unspoken
Strangers of the heart
Don't take chances they'll get broken
No matter where you are
Hear me tonight I don't want to be
strangers at heart

Strangers of the heart
Always safe with words unspoken
Strangers of the heart
Don't take chances they'll get broken
No matter where you are
Hear me tonight I don't want to be
strangers at heart

Shattered

Darkness enveloped me
Pain and darkness filled my heart
Deepened by emotions
Tormented from the very start.

Fear left unspoken
Shattered by betrayal
Innocence is broken.
Its all just broken.

Uncontrollabler anger
Promises of pain
Burning with such heartache
And still he reigns

Painful memories so deep
Traumatic price to pay
Leaving me hurt.
And left to bear the scars.

Sadness has engulfed me
Bitter to the end
Pieces of my innocence
Shattered by a friend.

Shattered

My dreams are like my realms I live in,
Everything I have touched has shattered,
When I see you smiling with another girl,
I have become shattered into million pieces,
Somehow you manage not to notice that I am broken,
No more looking at you,
You make me sad,
Yet I get mad,
Glad to know I can be jealous,
Not enough to know that I wasn’t the one you liked after all these years,
I have open up my thoughts, my ears, my eyes,
To know that you weren’t nothing but a nobody to me now,
So now before you go and shatter my heart let me know what did I do to deserve this hate from you,
Is it to late for you know its too late to date me and that I am more happier then I can be,
Lets get the facts that you were just another guy with no brain at all,
You just drain my thoughts to think that you weren’t my boyfriend began with,
Theses rain shall fall when I cry,
Burst into tears of hate, and broken yet shattered heart of mine.

Rainbow Eyes

Shes been gone since yesterday
Oh I didnt care
Never cared for yesterdays
Fancies in the air
No sighs or mysteries
She lay golden in the sun
No broken harmonies
But Ive lost my way
She had rainbow eyes
Rainbow eyes
Rainbow eyes
Love should be a simple blend
A whispering on the shore
No clever words you cant defend
They lead to never more
No sighs or mysteries
She lay golden in the sun
No broken harmonies
But Ive lost my way
She had rainbow eyes
Rainbow eyes
Rainbow eyes
Summer nights are colder now
Theyve taken down the fair
And all the lights have died somehow
Or were they ever there
No sighs or mysteries
She lay golden in the sun
No broken harmonies
But Ive lost my way
She had rainbow eyes
Uuuuh, uuh

The Risk

Lonely tears upon my face dried
My broken heart replied
Will my shattered heart mend
For time does a broken heart tend
Days dissolve into endless time
Tender memories play across my mind
The bitter and the sweet do blend
For the passing of love does end
My heart keeps asking why
My soul does ache to try
Will love bloom again
Past the fear, past the pain
Does one dare to risk it all
To let the heart take a fall
To take one's heart off the shelf
To totally risk one's own self
Will my heart not want to flee
Can I think of more than me
But I will anxiously await
For love to walk thru my garden gate

Shattered

It was in the virgin snow
Of many a winter's past
Where memory grew some wings
It was in the form of Snow Angels**
And the winter airs crisp sting
It was a total recall of sorts
Of a broken friendships shards
It cut like glass, as it came to pass
But the snow still covers the yard
It never melted from an apology
As none ever came to pass
And so the snow remains
Along with the pain
And the shards are still sharp as glass

Heart of Glass

What would it take,
To make you believe?
My life's an open book.
My glass heart on my sleeve.

But it keeps getting broken,
And I keep getting hurt.
Your knife cuts very deep,
And you treat me like dirt.

My heart it has changed.
A new me was born.
He has given me strength,
And sewn what was torn.

My heart made of glass,
Now shattered and broke.
But again He does fix it,
And He gives me His yoke.

Then he carries my burden,
And takes my glass heart.
Gives it back to me mended.
So again I must start.

I'm here with my heart,
To give her once more.
And the heart made of glass,
She smashed on the floor.

And then He returns.
He gathered the shards.
I can't do it again.
The pain is too hard.

But he puts it together.
He makes me return.
I ask, “How many times more? ”
“Til her love you have earned.”

So back I do go,
Humble and meek.
To fight for my love.
My heart is so weak.

Here it is my love.
Please take my glass heart.
It is yours for the breaking.
You can break it apart.
She took it from me,
And held it so tight.
And she gave me a smile,
That shone very bright.

She gave me a kiss.
Then her heart I did get.
I had earned back her love.
I had paid back my debt

My heart made of glass,
Found the heart made of gold.
I am glad that I listened.
And did just what He told.

I am glad that He told me,
To fight for my friend.
Because Love conquers all,
And never will end.

Good bye sadness

Good bye Sadness
She is so happy now
That you are out of her mind
You finally vanished
Good bye Sadness
Why are you called Sadness?
Because that’s the name they given you
You make people cry
You even made her cry too many times
There was a dark cloud hanging in her eyes
For a long tine
And now it is gone
Good bye sadness
She doesn’t need to see you again
You are also painful
Good bye sadness
You belong in the sad Sea
Where the pain lays
Among the dead fishes
In that sad Sea
The oil from that big ship and vessels
Pollutes this sad Sea
She doesn’t want to be a part of the Sad Sea either
Because it is sad to see
All that wild life dies
Good bye sadness
You never had anything good to offer her anyway
Pain and more pain you brought her all through those years
But the truth is that she had to go through it
To appreciate the good stuff
Yes sadness I can tell you she went through with it
For a long time
Good bye sadness
Please stay away from her forever
She doesn’t need you in her life
Sadness breaks everybody’s hearts
Her heart was broken too many times
By you sadness
Good bye sadness

Freak Out

The sun opens its eyes
Upon the distant horizon
Nature plays its peace harp as
I look into the dawning-
Petals of the glass rose blooming inside of my heart,
Tremulous as they fall
To my feet, splinter and are carried away-
A fallen foundation,
Shattered tranquility,
I would become a pilot in my solitude
In control of my own destiny,
A hurricane or none less than a
Whole gale in its full force,
With ammunition to kill and
The fury of the rage of a winter’s storm-
My soul, swept away,
My heart, frozen as
My fondest reverie has been
Dissipated, hurled and carried away
By the force of as that of a tornado-
I am now in control of my senses and
Have the power to
Manipulate the thoughts of this world’s strangers-
I stand alone envisioning
Broken shards of a glass rose
Strewn about that unsteady pathway once
Paved before me, as the hands of my intruders
Toy with the essence of my thoughts?
With every step I take upon
That fallen foundation, I would cry no tears.
My world has just crashed and fallen before me,
But as my heart has been pilfered,
I do not feel sadness but only
Unrelenting rage, which has
Assassinated the hearts and minds of the strangers
Who disrespected my boundaries-?
When the sun rises I shall be dead and gone, but
A glass rose shall grow by my grave site, and
I shall find peace here
Knowing that I am in control…

Theres The Girl

Youre a polished diamond
Now youre feeling kinda rough
Yes I know how long you been searching
For the perfect touch
You better hear what I say
I can tell your eyes are just about to
Give you away
Cause theres the girl
That you were after
Feel your heart beating faster now
Theres the girl that you were after
Can you say that you dont
Want her anymore
Just take my word now
Cause you know its true
She aint good enough
For the likes of you
You better hear what I say
I can tell your eyes are just about
To give you away
Cause theres the girl
That you were after
Feel your heart beating faster now
Theres the girl that you were after
And all the time you cant get past her
Theres the girl that you were after
Broken glass, complete disaster
Theres the girl that you were after
Can you say that you dont
Want her anymore
I believed you once
When you explained
That it wasnt to tough
To forget her name
Cause theres the girl
That you were after
Feel your heart beating faster now
Theres the girl that you were after
And all the time you cant get past her
Theres the girl that you were after
Broken glass, complete disaster
Theres the girl that you were after
Can you say that you dont

His heart is broken

His heart is broken,
broken like pieces of glass
which nobody
can fit together again
and he has lost his own worthiness,
the meaning behind his existence
a long time ago

and the days fly past
as if time has escaped somewhere
along the road
and nothing still has meaning

and even bright days
turn grey to him,
with a greyness
which disconcerts and makes every thing dull
and there are spider webs and a lot of dust
where he keeps his compact discs
which he doesn’t play anymore

and still loyally he prays,
tries to keep his integrity intact
but has lost trust
in a God, who sees everything and who understands
and it feels as if that God
does not exist for him
and as if he is fighting alone against destiny,
stands alone on this earth
without anybody caring
or wanting to know something about him
and the past lies just too deep,
too deep inside him
so that he cannot forget it
and never gets to a new future.

Born Of A Broken Man

My fears hunt me down
Capturing my memories
The frontier of loss
They try to escape across the street where
Jesus stripped bare
And raped the spirit he was supposed to nurture
In the name of my in the name of my

Born of a broken man
But not a broken man
Born of a broken man
But not a broken man

Like autumn leaves
His sense fell from him
An empty glass of himself
Shattered somewhere within
His thoughts like a hundred moths
Trapped in a lampshade
Somewhere within
Their wings banging and burning
On through endless nights
Forever awake he lies shaking and starving
Praying for someone to turn off the light

Born of a broken man
But not a broken man
Born of a broken man
But not a broken man

One On One With An Empty Glass

the final confrontation is finally set on the table
the mantel still pretends to be clean
the morsels are polite and the empty glass is civil

just a while ago, it was filled with water
up to the brim and now it is thirsty again
and it stares at me begging for more
but i give it silence hoping that it shall remember
what origin it has
from the department store

it stares at me and threatens me with the pain of emptiness
it does not move
giving me the semblance of an earth that stops to spin
nothing falls and the possibility of freezing is pestering me

i lay my hand on the chest telling it that i am not at all disturbed
i listen to the rhythmic beatings of my heart
i bite my lips like bread using my teeth
i close my eyes and begin my journey inward
my gut

i remember the sound of the broken glass
i recall how i sweep the shattered pieces
i still picture myself digging a hole and burying what should be forgotten

i do not sleep and i do not dream much
i breathe more air and then i awaken all my senses
the glass is empty still and it is there to manifest a surrender

i have learned to fill my lungs with air
the moments pass away taking all that i have and now
i am full.
