Rain
I love the rain
It causes smells to change
Washing as I walk
Urine off the sidewalk

It Smells Like Rain
It smells like rain
filling the air
before the first drops break
in quiet splashes on the river.
It smells like rain
musty and fresh at once
warning the birds
to go home.
And the rain comes
water on water
cool rush of sound
quieting insects
teasing fish
drenching boaters
surprised by the storm.
It smells like rain
It sounds like rain
It looks like rain, now
I’ll go outside
and feel the rain.
Hell. I’ll be the rain.

His Sweetness
now i know who in this office
is sweet
it is him
it is him that we suspect
his urine
it is his urine which the ants
have feasted
it is him who is sick
it is him who does not admit it
he has no reason to live
the wine takes him
the cigarettes choke him
the nights bury him with its
loud music
this early morning he lies drunk
on the sidewalk
his mouth still with froth
his eyes still tightly closed
his stomach now again
protesting....

Always Walk In The Rain With Me
Always walk in the rain with me,
Hold my hand tight so I don’t fall,
I’m so scared of slipping away,
Always walk in the rain with me.
Dance with me held close,
So I can see another days light,
Always walk in the rain with me,
For the drops are becoming heavy,
And the storm is becoming enraged,
Always walk in the rain with me,
Shield me from the man in black,
Don’t let his winds take me away,
Always walk in the rain with me,
Help me see my way,
Need my list fulfilled for time is at hand,
Always walk in the rain with me,
Stay with me for eternity,
Help me dance my way clear,
Always walk in the rain with me,
Promise to love me forever,
Guide me to my rainbow now,
Always walk in the rain with me,
Tell me your heart n soul are mine,
Always walk in the rain with me

Sidewalk Of Despair
If you chance to walk along
the sidewalk of despair
you will always find
a great many people there.
They are walking with heads bowed
as if in some great shame,
but they are only there
because their world is gone.
Some walk with money problems
so deep they figure they cannot get out;
others walk with heartaches
as their love has gone away.
Whatever the reason
they walk alone
unable to find an answer
along the sidewalk of despair.

Sidewalk University
Sidewalk University a school we all know but wouldn't ancknoweledge. The teaching of hard life and inperfect people.Sneakers hung high off of telephone wires. Crowd walk ways and disrespectful people urine filled elevators. If you graduate you may survive the streets.Language in which others try to copy ebonicis is now in the dictionary.
I may want to travel to the great wonders of the world. Will I be safe? or will you see me on the eleven oclock news.Foreign ghettos and marvelous adventures will be great to see. My neighborhood I know each alley and each person. You call it dangerous I call it safe. You call it ghetto I call it home. Sidewalk University

The Bollmanator
You sit on your desk
Starring at us like a hawk looking for food
You snd us to lunch 10 minutes late
We come back and you room smells
Smells like rat urine
You give us tons of homework because of
Of your personal problems
You are the bollmister
You make us do bellwork
You always growl at my class
You can't wait but to yell at us for causing destruction to your calculators
You are the Bollmanator
Or the cause of my horrible life
You pick either one works

I never went to the tropical island
Though everybody said they saw me there
And it wasnt me you punched a hole in
At the west german protest march

And a part is never called the whole thing
Though it bothers us to know its so

Rain Drops & Sun Showers
Rain falls on everyone
The same old rain
And I'm just trying to walk with you
Between the raindrops
I send my echo out
To get your love with poem
Obscures reflections of
My love
Rain falls on everyone
The same old rain
And I'm just trying to walk with you
Between the raindrops
I'll save a prayer for you
So lost and longing too
Bleach shared through dirty streaks
Wrapped up in clean white sheets
And if you think they'll watch you now
You should know they won't
Rain falls on everyone
The same old rain
And I'm just trying to walk with you
Between the raindrops
And I'm just trying to walk with you
Between the raindrops
I send my echo out
To get your love with poem
Obscure reflections of
Of my secret power
Force down the wings of god
To get your love with poem
Obscure reflections of my love
And I'm just trying to talk to you
Between the raindrops
Rain falls on everyone
The same old rain
And I'm just trying to walk with you
Between the raindrops
Rain falls on everyone
The same old rain
And I'm just trying to walk with you
Between the raindrops
And I'm just trying to walk with you
Between the raindrops

April Rain Song
Let the rain kiss you
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops
Let the rain sing you a lullaby
The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk
The rain makes running pools in the gutter
The rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night
And I love the rain.

Don't You Forget About Me
Won't you come see about me
I'll be alone dancing, you know it will be me
Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving me everything inside and out
Love's strange, so real in the dark
Think of the tender things
That we were working on
Slow change may pull us apart
When the light gets into your heart, baby
Don't you forget about me
Don't, don't, don't, don't
Don't you forget about me
Will you stand above me
Look my way, never love me
Rain keeps falling
Rain keeps falling
Down, down, down
Will you recognize me
Call my name
Gonna walk on fire
Rain keeps falling
Rain keeps falling
Down, down, down
Don't you try and pretend
It's my beginning
We'll win in the end
I won't harm you
Or touch your defenses
Vanity, insecurity
Don't you forget about me
I'll be alone dancing, you know it baby
Going to take you apart
I'll build us back together a heart baby
Don't you forget about me
Don't, don't, don't, don't
Don't you forget about me
As you walk on by
Will you call my name
As you walk on by
Will you call my name
When you walk away
Oh, will you walk away
Will you walk away
Oh, call my name
Will you call my name

Heavy Rain (Not Again)
Heavy rain
Not again
Washing on the line
(Not mine)
Clean the car
How brave you are
Heavy rain
What a pain
Try the beach
It's within reach
The lawn to mow
Where did the sun go
Heavy rain
What a bane
Walk today
That's the way
A bike ride
Why stay inside
Heavy rain
Not again

Come on - call my name
Come on - call my name
Will you call my name?
I say
La la la...
Will you walk on by?
Would you call my name?
As you walk on by
Would you call my name?
When you walk on by?
Oh yeah
Come on and call my name
As you walk on by
Hey baby call my name!
When you walk on by
Would you call my name
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah....

Sidewalk Talk
Watch where you walk 'cause the sidewalks talk
And you can't keep a secret from the ground beneath you
Step very lightly on the earth below
Or before you know it everyone will know
Streets were paved with a thousand eyes
And try as you may you can't disguise
There's only two things that you can't hide from
That's you and the ground you're walking on
Chorus:
Watch where you walk, 'cause the sidewalks talk
You better watch what you do, what you do
'cause the sidewalk talk can get carried away
You better watch what you say, what you say
Think when you speak 'cause you gotta 'long the street
They can read what you say so you gotta stay away
From words that sting, words are not true
And the things you say make a fool of you
Little white lies make the sidewalk cry
And you can betray with the things you say
Words won't last when you say 'em too fast
And you've been mislead by the things you've said
(chorus)
Intermediate:
When you're living on the street
Life can be full of misery
Find a place to call your own
Make your heart into a home
You can do it, uh huh
(repeat 3 times)
You can do it
After every word there's a place that heard
Every time your shoe hits the avenue
And when you've gone they'll sing a song
Of the stories you told when you felt so bold
You better think twice when you cross the ice
Everything you do comes back to you
When you're shedding a tear sidewalks will hear
When your laughter's true they'll run with you
(chorus)
(intermediate)
You can do it, uh huh
(repeat 3 times)
You can do it
(repeat 3 times)
(chorus)
Sidewalk talk
(repeat 3 times)
Let me tell ya 'bout sidewalk talk
Sidewalk talk
Sidewalk talk
Sidewalk talk
(repeat)
Watch out for sidewalk talk
Sidewalk talk
Sidewalk talk
Sidewalk talk
Let me tell ya 'bout
Let me tell ya 'bout
Let me tell ya 'bout
Let me tell ya 'bout sidewalk talk

Rain Love
Rain Rain Love
Rain Rain Love
Rain Rain Love
Rain Rain Love
Threw out my old raincoat
Set sail without a boat
For places somewhere far beyond my dreams
As the sky came pouring down
I lay down on the ground
Like I was dreaming, I let the feeling wash all over me
Rain Love Covered around me
Rain Rain Love Finally found me
This time you're gonna recognise
One drop will open up your eyes
Rain Love
It's the colour of every sky
It's the way to change the tide
When the world is crumbling down on you and me
It's the calm that lifts the storm
It's the promise that keeps you warm
When you don't understand, just touch the guiding hand that comforts me
Rain Love...
Takes this lot to make you realise
No greater love could ever fill the sky
Rain Love....

The Sun & The Rain
Its raining again,
Im hearing its pitter patter down.
Its wet in the street
Reflecting the lights and splashing feet,
Nowhere to go,
And nothing I have to do, have to do.
Its raining again,
I follow the christmas lights down town.
Im leaving the flow
Of people walking all around,
Round and round,
I hear the sound of rain falling in my ears
Washing away the weariness like tears.
I can feel my troubles running down,
Disappear into the silent sound.
Just walking along,
My clothes are soaked right through to the skin,
I havent a doubt, that this is what life is all about,
The sun and the rain.
Scraps of paper(? ? ? ) washing down the drain.
I feel the rain falling on my face
I can say there is no better place
Than standing up in the falling down
In so much rain I could almost drown.
Its raining again
A crack in the clouds reveals blue skies
Ive been feeling so low(low)
But now everything is on my side
The sun and the rain.
Walk with me fill my heart again
I hear the rain falling in my ears
Washing away the weariness like tears.
I can feel my troubles running down,
Disappear into the silent sound.
I feel the rain falling on my face
I can say there is no better place
Than standing up in the falling down
In so much rain I could almost drown.

Louisiana Rain
Well it was out in california by the san diego sea
That was when i was taken in by an aging boardwalk queen
Yeah she nearly drove me crazy with all those china toys
And i know she really didn't mean a thing to any of those sailor boys
Louisiana rain is falling at my feet
Baby i'm noticing a change as i move down the street
Louisiana rain is soaking through my shoes
I may never be the same when i reach baton rouge
South carolina put out its arms for me
Right up until everything went black somewhere on baker street
And it was just some mean old poison, that i took up my nose
Thank god for a love that follows the angels and the whores
Louisiana rain is falling just like tears
Running down my face, washing out the years
Louisiana rain is soaking through my shoes
I may never be the same when i reach baton rouge
Well i never will get over this english refugee
Singing to the jukebox in the all night beanery
Yeah he was eating pills like candy and chasing them with tea
You should have seen him lick his lips, that old black muddied beak
Louisiana rain is falling at my feet
Baby i'm noticing the change as i move down the street
Louisiana rain is soaking through my shoes
I may never be the same when i reach baton rouge
Louisiana rain is falling just like tears
Running down my face, washing out the years
Louisiana rain is soaking through my shoes
I may never be the same when i reach baton rouge
