Faith in the System
'Our age is retrospective. It builds the sepulchres of the fathers. It writes biographies, histories and criticism. The fore-going generations beheld God and nature face to face; we through their eyes. Why should not we also enjoy the original relation to the universe? Why should we not have a poetry and philosophy of insight and not of tradition, and a religion by revelation to us, and not the history of theirs...
Undoubtedly we have no questions to ask which are unanswerable. We must trust in the perfection of the creation so far as to believe that whatever curiosity the order of things has awakened in our minds, the order of things can satisfy.'
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Now that we know
For certain two main ways
Of getting exposed
Coetaneous
By merely personally
Coming into contact
With it
Inhalational
Breathing it individually
Into your
Very being
What else
Is there to know
I know we're
All going someday
I choose to go with my faith
And nature coming into direct contact
With my daily life
Breathing deeply
All the days
Of my life

Their spirituality was in nature, even though Emerson was a preacher on the pulpit, he ended up going out into nature for direct, face-to-face communication with God, if you want to call all of this creation part of God.

Back To The Old Ways
Back to the old ways
It's been days
Since pen has tasted paper
Days since soul and heart thought together
Mind on fire
Situation dire
So much falling
I hear her voice calling
Just some light
Coming from both sides... how might
I choose where to go?
I honestly don't know
Yet I do
I know which ways, but by nature and my will
I wish to go toward the false light which could kill
Me, though it's wrong I still wish to pursue
The girl who
I claim to love... yes it's her yet what do I do?
To not go after her I must against my nature
To go after her I must subvert my faith.. all for her
It's back to my old ways
It's been days
Crying
Trying to decide
I know if I choose wrong the punishment then a chide
I think I choose the pure light
Did I choose right?

This Is The Way
This.......this is the way
This is the way I wanna live
Im going through changes
This is the way I wanna live
From this day on noone is going to tell me
What I should do or what I should not
That aint the way,
The way that it shall be fight it all the way
So let them vultures prey on each other
Dont let them spoil it youve come this far
Coming out like a force of nature
This is the shape of things to come...
This.......this is the way
This is the way I wanna live
Im going through changes
( coming up, coming up )
This is the way I wanna live
So if youre feeling sort of down & out
Dont loose ya faith, wipe away the doubt
You must take a stand thats what it is about
If nothing else works just shout!
Youre no baloney homo sapien
Youre the original king of the hill again
Coming out like a force of nature
This is the shape of things to come...
This.......this is the way
This is the way I wanna live
Im going through changes
( coming up, coming up )
This is the way I wanna live

Though Much About Nature's Ways
Though much about Nature's ways some claim to know
Our wonder of her only does seem to grow
Without effort great beauty she does create
The artists and writers her does celebrate
Her beauty is everywhere all around me
The magpie larks birds known to some as pee wee
Builds a cup shaped nest of mud on branch of tree
A marvellous wonder of Nature to see
Though Nature's wonders beyond me to explain
Such marvellous insights from her we do gain
When the frogs are singing in the pond and the drain
And the swallows fly low Nature's saying it will rain
Us air breathing life forms are born to die
But Nature lives on since the facts never lie.

Certain Accuracy
Technology
Inventions that shine
Only hope and thoughts that reflects in our minds
Manmade machineries
Futuristic and advanced devices
Trying to get it right every time
Not accepting the pain of failure
When back to the starting point
Again they will try
[Chorus:]
A first
Second
And a third time
To a certain accuracy that is absurd
Creations that can bring us to an end
In different ways
[Lead]
Religion and politics
Are all overrated
Like many things in life
A human
Will never be able to control
Those situations
Whatever mankind does and builds to serve
And protect us might also send us to our graves
Our ways to fatal errors
With no turning back
[Lead]
With or without confidence
And also preparing for whatever might go wrong
Discovering is a hard task to face
And finding the solution is what instinctively
Does our face until the world reaches to a higher ground
With anxiety
Sorrow
And pain
[Lead]
[Lead]
Creation for both uses
To whom it may seem
That it can be right or wrong
Human imperfections and method of corrections
A natural reaction
From the past until now days
An endless cycle that goes on
[Repeat chorus]
In all the existing things in this world
Men will never achieve the degree of perfection
That they search for

Tricked To Be Fooled By Minds Out To Lunch
Anyone that has made attempts
To take it upon themselves to choose or decide
They are going to direct someone's destiny
By using methods to destroy a life as it should be
From places dark from which they hide
Has begun to do many things to themselves
Without knowing they have chosen their own poison
With a creating of their own back to back obstacles
They will never be able to eliminate
Since the order of nature will show with proof
It is not meant to be disturbed when in its natural process
Or tricked to be fooled by minds out to lunch

Never a burden
Life was never a burden
Something may occur all of sudden
We continue despite all that even
Life cart is always to be driven
One may be lost or bogged down
It may be wrong on his part or fault of his own
You reap for what you have sown
The tree may also be same way grown
What do we expect then in coming days?
Wait for something unexpected and stay
Or face the challenge in whichever way
It comes and pushes our destination away
Despite all odds we have to maintain
Balance with way of life to sustain
Relation with nature and people around
New bonds with sweet relation is to be found
In each day there is something new
New hope with beautiful eyes to view
Only some art lovers can find and see
Otherwise it is always there and for free
We find everything very near
In our support without any fear
To take a new leaf and start the carrier
Scale the new heights without any barrier
Let us strive for new thinking
Let our ship never face sinking
It must float on the water to time to come
Daily new passengers in it to greet and welcome
Life shall move with some ups and down
We may wear sometimes lovely crown
But mind first it will be our own efforts
We shall be the one sailing boat to the port

Where I'm In FAITH!
Within a place that creates completeness in oneself,
a place that needs no obstacles,
a place that needs positive reaction,
negative resolution, and stressful elimination:
powers within oneself to have faith
in the faith G-d has for me.
Seeking a miracle is a waste of my time
for the miracles that come to my life
are truly the miracles of creation,
creation of a strong black woman
who can make all things happen,
who can provide for her family,
who can live without the idea of dying
due to destruction seen before her.
I am a miracle in itself as are you,
our faith in ourselves will benefit us
more than the faith we have in what can be done by prayer;
having faith in what we can do to make our prayers reality,
many of our questions have answers,
having faith, and the courage to know the answers are a given,
we are from the breath of the almighty,
we are the world, we are what he has faith in.
Looking for an easy fix is the thought of an addict,
for I am not an addict for life, I am a solution for living.
Look within my eyes and see the miracle of creation,
copyrighted by God himself,
the creation of perfection in his eyes;
Life was given to us as a gift, as a lesson,
a learning experience
with that gift
we were given the ability to survive,
some survive some just live;
I am a survivor, a creation that makes me full,
full of complete joy for I am a gift to this world,
to myself, to nature, as the world,
and nature is a gift to me;
I am a child of God
with that I know my prayers have answers,
before I ask he gives,
he gives me the ability to be the strength
that you seek,
the power that you need,
the fullness of the empty glass,
the waters that flow, the air that blows,
the rain that pours, the heat that warms
I am a miracle, as are you,
see within your reflection
as your creator seen when he gave you life,
be strong, don’t blame, don’t worry,
do all that you can to make your life the best you can
for the faith that he has in you
can never be measured by numbers
the faith he has is you is much greater
than the faith you have in him,
for he is the almighty,
you are simply the creation!

On A Daily Basis
I am often humbled,
By those expressions made
Regarding my thoughts...
With any impressions,
They have laid to stay in minds.
I find I am fascinated.
Whether appreciated or not,
I have to stop sometimes to wonder.
This I've been doing for such a while now.
And I try to maintain a comprehension about life,
With curiosity.
And that isn't easy to express at times.
Especially when my feelings,
Are not heightened by a respect I should let show.
Finding a pinch given gets more attention,
Than a peck on the cheek with cheesiness.
And I ain't that kind of a writer.
And I've been attacked for being black.
Not because I express that!
But...
Because my comments offend,
Those pretending I should not notice bigotry displayed.
Or that I have not been in contact with racism.
I am aware of Disneyland but I've never been.
I can only elaborate on my own personal encounters.
Especially regarding my own life.
With obstacles, strife and tribulations.
Like others who write and many who do not,
There are things I dislike.
There are aches and pains and sufferings I've gained,
From this experience.
But...
Do I choose to dwell on them?
Sure I do.
When it feels good to do it!
But what purpose is being achieved?
A bonding with agony?
Please.
I was in the military,
With guys who bragged about their wounds.
And displayed scars like badges.
On the regular.
So many people carry and share their frustrations.
As if life is an experience only known to a few who live it!
And I've learned life is to be enjoyed!
With as much happiness one allows.
And I say allow!
Since so many choose not to do that!
Many have chosen to be victims.
Listen to them.
This is not denied.
When I discovered peace of mind...
I did not realize I had to pay for it!
Yes!
It ain't free.
And I did with tears, heartache...
And emotional investments!
With lost dignity too.
I held onto my identity.
I knew early it was precious.
One day my faith awakened me with sunlight so bright!
And nature awaiting my acceptance to share it.
I felt at one with the Earth.
I felt I had to thank it
For allowing me to leech upon its goodness.
And not to my surprise the Earth complied.
I expressed a gratefulness to God,
For all the gifts I received that came unwrapped.
I felt a release from entrapments.
And I rid myself of limitations.
Knowing if I was to be ignorant about anything...
Affecting my experience.
There was a lot of misunderstanding I refused to admit.
I had to let that go.
It showed on my face too much.
Today I choose to be naive.
About many things.
With a clarity that there is so much I'd like to learn.
On a daily basis.
I choose to have my life to live it.
Carrying around bitterness is such a waste of time.
Especially when time, as we know it...
IS for the most part,
A human illusion!
Made to market and appease frustrations.
And shopping can frustrate more than constipation.

A Change Of Time!
A change of time changes everything in life!
Glorious poetry turned into prose for use earlier;
Stories, novels and articles ruled prominent;
With the coming of computer poetry resurrected!
Now everybody enjoys indulging in poetry for fun;
Articles, stories and novels are superseded by poetry!
Many poetry websites entertain new poets daily;
Many enjoy poetry reading and writing at anytime!
Poetry has become cheap product for all to use;
Nobody thought that such a thing could happen!
Nobody buys poetry books but novels and magazines;
Is poetry a use and throw material only in market now?
The things that cannot be expressed in stories, novels
Are done in poetry to satisfy heart, thought and spirit!

Sonnet: Nature Is Beautiful
While Wordsworth worshipped Nature; Keats, Beauty;
To them, each was his art, life, religion;
With senses exalted, did their duty;
Imagination adding perfection.
When God made Nature, He gave it beauty;
All things He made with purpose, perfectly;
He made with man a covenant-treaty;
To enjoy it with his ability.
And Man invented words and syllables;
He used them to describe Mother Nature;
The latter found use in all Parables;
Revealing God's love for man in rapture.
Beauty's zenith of words is Poetry;
Divine love takes us to Eternity.

The Lords of Life
The lords of life, the lords of life,-
I saw them pass,
In their own guise,
Like and unlike,
Portly and grim,
Use and Surprise,
Surface and Dream,
Succession swift, and spectral Wrong,
Temperament without a tongue,
And the inventor of the game
Omnipresent without name;-
Some to see, some to be guessed,
They marched from east to west:
Little man, least of all,
Among the legs of his guardians tall,
Walked about with puzzled look:-
Him by the hand dear nature took;
Dearest nature, strong and kind,
Whispered, 'Darling, never mind!
Tomorrow they will wear another face,
The founder thou! these are thy race!'

An Open Secret!
Can you unfold rose bud as naturally as it is?
Sun flower blooms by the sight of Sun all days;
Lily flower blooms by the sight of Moon all days.
Is it possible to do so by me or your presence?
Nature does wonder we cannot even imagine!
Seeing Nature many things are created often;
But all delicate things can man do as Nature?
Natural expression has a value of its own sure;
Learning and doing things are different matter;
Same thing happens in the creativity of poetry.
All things happening in Nature are great wonders;
But who does care to note things of beauty in Nature?
Divine spirit present in all things of Nature is clear; but
Ignorance of man fails him to realize this open secret!

Requirement
We live by Faith; but Faith is not the slave
Of text and legend. Reason's voice and God's,
Nature's and Duty's, never are at odds.
What asks our Father of His children, save
Justice and mercy and humility,
A reasonable service of good deeds,
Pure living, tenderness to human needs,
Reverence and trust, and prayer for light to see
The Master's footprints in our daily ways?
No knotted scourge nor sacrificial knife,
But the calm beauty of an ordered life
Whose very breathing is unworded praise!--
A life that stands as all true lives have stood,
Firm-rooted in the faith that God is Good.
