Song. Murdering Beauty

I'LL gaze no more on her bewitching face,
Since ruin harbours there in every place ;
For my enchanted soul alike she drowns
With calms and tempests of her smiles and frowns.
I’ll love no more those cruel eyes of hers,
Which, pleased or anger’d, still are murderers :
For if she dart, like lightning, through the air
Her beams of wrath, she kills me with despair :
If she behold me with a pleasing eye,
I surfeit with excess of joy, and die.

Anger Is One Letter Short Of Danger

Anger is fire
It burns the soul
Anger is deep sea
Drowns one to death
Anger is a storm
Blows one
Out of the world
Anger is demon
Overpowers the mind
Anger is a virus
Slowly kills a person
Anger is evil
Brings one closer to hell
Anger is madness
Makes one suffer
Anger is an enemy
Destroys one slowly
Turns friendship
Into enmity
Always remember
Anger is
One letter short of
Danger
It takes its toll
Does not spare
A single soul

Delia VI: Fair is my love, and cruel as she's fair

VI
Fair is my love, and cruel as she's fair:
Her brow shades frowns although her eyes are sunny,
Her smiles are lightning though her pride despair,
And her disdains are gall, her favours honey;
A modest maid, deck'd with a blush of honour,
Whose feet do tread green paths of youth and love,
The wonder of all eyes that look upon her:
Sacred on earth, design'd a saint above.
Chastity and beauty, which were deadly foes,
Live reconciled friends within her brow;
And had she pity to conjoin with those,
Then who had heard the plaints I utter now?
For had she not been fair and thus unkind,
My muse had slept, and none had known my mind.

Love That Kills

Will you take me slowly
Will you lead me all the way
Will you sing me your songs
Until I am ready for
The love that kills
Yeah!
I have known you in the
Sheets and folds of many lifetimes
You were there when I was made
And I will speak to you in the language of dream until
Love comes my way
Love that kills
Yeah!
Hey I will ride on a dolphin, rain in my face,
Wind in all of my sails
Theres a shadow hard on my heels now,
But Im still trying to, Im still trying to...
Get to the place, were [rolling like strippers over spill]
I have come a long way and I need my cup refilled
So when you come for me slowly
When you come knocking on my door
When the soul sings
And the man is still
I will be ready
I will be ready
Yes I will be ready for the love that kills
Yeah!
The love that kills
The love that kills, kills, kills
The love that kills

Lady, when I behold the roses sprouting

Lady, when I behold the roses sprouting,
Which clad in damask mantles deck the arbours,
And then behold your lips, where sweet Love harbours,
My eyes present me with a double doubting.
For, viewing both alike, hardly my mind supposes
Whether the roses be your lips or your lips the roses.

In Mine One Monument I Lye

I.

In mine one monument I lye,
And in my self am buried;
Sure, the quick lightning of her eye
Melted my soul ith' scabberd dead;
And now like some pale ghost I walk,
And with another's spirit talk.

II.

Nor can her beams a heat convey,
That may my frozen bosome warm,
Unless her smiles have pow'r, as they,
That a cross charm can countercharm.
But this is such a pleasing pain,
I'm loth to be alive again.

An unpredictable lady, my wife

She always frowns at me
Both in anger and happiness,
In anger she grows peevish and untamed,
I have to struggle even for food and water,
She herself quits everything except anger,
Her reddish eyes and swollen cheeks
Reminds me of an angry tigress,
Anyway every time I have to surrender to make things better.
On contrary when she is in her spirits,
I am treated like a VIP by her,
She is at my beck and call,
No sooner did I ask for anything
Than it is done,
She smiles and ready to serve me
With food, breakfast and even her seducing look,
She washes my clothes, polishes my shoes,
Though I don't like it yet
I am helpless for she frowns at me,
Sometimes I think I am the luckiest person on earth
But when I remember her irritable temper,
I change my mind and call her
A lady of unpredictable nature.

When Love Kills Love

When love kills love
Suddenly I think I always knew
I had my share of mistakes made quite a few
Finally I know when that's for sure
I don't look back in anger anymore
Suddenly the sun comes up again
There's a new beginning when we pass the end
Finally I know when that's for sure
I don't look back in anger anymore
When love kills love
Will someone rescue me
When love kills love
It's cutting through so deep
Suddenly I wake up from a dream
Someone tells me I've been talking in my sleep
Finally I know when that's for sure
I don't believe in daydreams anymore
When love kills love
Will someone set me free
When love kills love
It's cutting through so deep
How can we choose when all we loose is all we have
We run away from all the pain
When love kills love
Will someone rescue me
When love kills love
It's cutting through so deep
When love kills love

Only A Moment's Hesitation

Before she place her hand in his
As he lead her to the dance floor
They sway and twirl to the enchanting music
He whispers sweet nothings in her ear
Holding her close
Look deeply into each other's eyes
Her knees weak
Enchanted in the depth of him
As she drowns in the ocean of his love

ANOTHER.

I did believe I was in heav'n,
When first the heav'n her self was giv'n,
That in my heart her beams did passe
As some the sun keep in a glasse,
So that her beauties thorow me
Did hurt my rival-enemy.
But fate, alas! decreed it so,
That I was engine to my woe:
For, as a corner'd christal spot,
My heart diaphanous was not;
But solid stuffe, where her eye flings
Quick fire upon the catching strings:
Yet, as at triumphs in the night,
You see the Prince's Arms in light,
So, when I once was set on flame,
I burnt all ore the letters of her name.

Love

Whilst tracing thy visage I sink in emotion,
For no other damsel so wond'rous I see;
Thy looks are so pleasing, thy charms so amazing,
I think of no other, my true-love, but thee.

With heart-burning rapture I gaze on thy beauty,
And fly like a bird to the boughs of a tree;
Thy looks are so pleasing, thy charms so amazing,
I fancy no other, my true-love, but thee.

Thus oft in the valley I think, and I wonder
Why cannot a maid with her lover agree?
Thy looks are so pleasing, thy charms so amazing,
I pine for no other, my true-love, but thee.

I'd fly from thy frowns with a heart full of sorrow--
Return, pretty damsel, and smile thou on me;
By every endeavor, I'll try thee forever,
And languish until I am fancied by thee.

Turn The Love To Anger

Lest we forget
The speed at which the world is turning
Careering through space and time
On her fatalistic journey
It scares me half to death
That we tear ourselves apart
A war of love or religion
Close your eyes to the screaming
Now are we pleased?
How are we free?
See how this obsession
Turns the love to anger
East calling west
Falling onto stony groud
We are lost in our vision
We are primitive and fearless
We send our message of confusion
Across the great divide
With our eyes full of wonder
Still the world goes spinning by
Now are we pleased?
How are we free?
See how this obsession
Turns the love to anger
Love is where the dream should lie
It's not for us to reason why
Or to ponder over strategy
So come with us and take a ride
Somewhere in the big blue sky
Before it's too late, it's too late, it's too late
Hope you find it baby
What you're lookin' for
Doesn't really matter
If you're rich or poor
'Cause you've had your day
Yes you had your day
Now are we pleased?
How are we free?
See how this obsession?
Turns the love to anger

On Mrs Mendez' Birthday, Who Was Born On Valentine's Day

Thine is the gentle day of love,
When youths and virgins try their fate;
When, deep retiring to the grove,
Each feathered songster weds his mate.

With tempered beams the skies are bright,
Earth decks in smiles her pleasing face;
Such is the day that gave thee light,
And speaks as such thy every grace.

Love's Reveller.

Hard have you won her, and must hold as fast!
She is Love's reveller — those tawny eyes
Are up and down still in warm passion cast,
And woe betide the soul whom they surprise!
Yet is she yours — you deem not for a while.
But have you felt the fiery stress of her?
It is a woman's, yet a serpent's smile
A Cleopatra yields her worshipper.
The cruel sweetness of her beauty lurks
In all her lovers' ruin; none may dare
To toy with her but love like poison works
To madness or the sorrow of despair: —
And you — the Antony of her desire?
Her love is still as a consuming fire.

Renewal

Renewed from hatred
that strangulates the flow of love.

Renewed from anger
that bulldozes a mountain of understanding.

Renewed from pain
that shatters the windows of tomorrows.

Renewed from fear
that makes all days to dark nights.

Renewed from despair
that drowns the promise of hope.

Renew us, O Lord, from the malady
of hatred, anger, pain,
fear and despair.
And restore us to the bountiful promise
of strength, joy, faith and service
from the heart of Jesus.

Beautiful Ladies

small or tall, little or big
short to long hair, let it flow
green to brown to blue, eyes to adore
frowns to to smiles, grins from cheek to cheek
slender to chunky to heavy set, size no matter
their gentle touch, the voice so soft
their hearts so big and brains so smart
their tears so sad, cries so bad
they are all the same in side and out
spirits and souls for us to enjoy
never forget who they are
a soul mate for someone, like you and me
look be on the cover, there is more to enjoy from the soul
beauty is the eye of the beholder
blind we are for the beauty might be in our eyes
and the smiles might turn to kisses
love them who there are, not for dreams we want
before we lose the one we love

Beginning and End (Again)

faded lines, greying hair,
life spillt from a cup.
even stars fall down,
nothing ever falls up!

world changes, still the same,
or maybe getting worse.
vanity of vanities
riding in a hearse.

and the truth kills the lie
with a savage swing.
but there's a place
inside our dreams....

a door only time can open,
a peace beyond all our hoping.
where beginning and end begin again.
the home of lightning and howling wind!

faith burned, anger earned,
fists against the wall.
you cant see what can be
when you cant hear the call.

the house you built, the spirit killed,
the love that in the end devours.
when seconds turn into lifetimes
in your final hours.

and the truth kills the lie
with a savage swing.
but there's a place
inside our dreams...

a door only time can open,
a peace beyond all our hoping.
where beginning and end begin again.
the home of lightning and howling wind.
