Thorwaldsen
Not in the fabled influence of some star,
Benign or evil, do our fortunes lie;
We are the arbiters of destiny,
Lords of the life we either make or mar.
We are our own impediment and bar
To noble endings. With distracted eye
We let the golden moment pass us by,
Time's foolish spendthrifts, searching wide and far
For what lies close at hand. To serve our turn
We ask fair wind and favorable tide.
From the dead Danish sculptor let us learn
To make Occasion, not to be denied:
Against the sheer precipitous mountain-side
Thorwaldsen carved his Lion at Lucerne.

Waiting For Our Time
Looking up from where I stand
I see the vapor trail
Of a jet plane in the sky
Here the wheel is in my hand
But theres no wind in my sails
And life is drifting by
Still I hold on and wait
I know its not too late
And my breeze will come
Muse you satisfy my soul
Keep me warm while the
Cold world guards the gate
Im searching
Im wondering
Im yearning
Waiting for our time to come
Im searching
Im wondering
Im yearning
Waiting for our time to come
Your love has kept my dream alive
A vision of my life
With you here by my side
Every forward step I take
Every moment Im awake
I feel your love inside
So close I feel it in my bones
I know Im not alone as I climb this wall
But I, sometimes I get so high
I just want to live, love
And taste it all
Im searching
Im wondering
Im yearning
Waiting for our time to come
Im searching
Im wondering
Im yearning
Waiting for our time to come
Here tonight
I lie awake and watch you dream
Under the light of the moon
I wonder just how far weve been
And where well be
When the sun comes up
Will this be our date with destiny
Im searching
Im wondering
Im yearning
Waiting for our time to come
Im searching
Im wondering
Im yearning
Waiting for our time to come
And Im waiting

Try to come over
It is not easy to overcome short comings
At a time when you are at the end of innings
You feel weak and clipped wings
The position is reduced to that of joker in ring
It requires great courage and stand
To mould the wind with current trend
Assert in a manner fitting into your ideology
Any kind of bold reply to counter the bogey
If you have many masters then also you can
It is easy to ascertain and make them your fan
The powerful thrust from your side may make them to wonder
It will be right moment for you to make them ponder
The destiny is not created or had over night
You have to create situation favorable and fight
No one may point out what is wrong or right
But it will be noticed by them even from long sight
It is logical to be objective with aim
You have every right to move and claim
Your powerful drive may create favorable position
It will be considered as an ideal and formidable composition
You have to show up to the world that you mean business
If it is not seized at right moment than there won’t be any trace
You will leg behind in every move and opportunity may be gone
The entire labor put in may be in vain and stand as undone
It is equally possible that there might have some drawbacks
It may be lacking punch with so much at stakes
No one may willingly fall for risky enterprise
You got to prove the ability with total surprise
You may pass through hell lot of experience
It may adventurous but full of challenges hence
It got to create deep impact with so much thrust
This essential and considered as necessary and must
You should keep in mind that wind may not flow in one direction
You will watched keenly and weighed for every action
It may so happen that whole life time achievement may be threatened
You will have to maneuver it with tact and straightened
Who would not want his stand to be vindicated?
Who will commit hara-kiri and stand indicted?
It will be blot on fair name and bring shame
The achievement may disappear the way it had come
No one can claim complete mastery
Even nature is suffering from mystery
We can set the course and send the ball rolling
We can not prevent misfortune and stars from falling

Tuesdays Dead
If I make a mark in time, I cant say the mark is mine.
Im only the underline of the word.
Yes, Im like him, just like you, I cant tell you what to do.
Like everybody else Im searching thru what Ive heard.
Whoa, where do you go? when you dont want no one to know?
Who told tomorrow tuesdays dead
Oh preacher wont you paint my dream, wont you show me where youve been
Show me what I havent seen to ease my mind.
Cause I will learn to understand, if I have a helping hand.
I wouldnt make another demand all my life.
Whats my sex, whats my name, all in all its all the same.
Everybody plays a different game, that is all.
Now, man may live, man may die searching for the question why.
But if he tries to rule the sky he must fall.
Now every second on the nose, the humdrum of the city grows.
Reaching out beyond the throes of our time.
We must try to shake it down. do our best to break the ground.
Try to turn the world around one more time.
Yeah, we must try to shake it down do our best to break the ground
Try to turn the world around one more time

Let's stop for a while
let's stop for a while and listen to the songs of the birds
wait for the bees that flaps there little wings and feel
the whisper of the wind beneath the golden sky
look up the wondering twilight star of a day they
never stop, as the stream of the creak that flows
into the sea they stay, touch the trembling baby who
face the looks as everybody is happy
open up and receive of what is life, a life that is free,
an eternity of destiny to live, open as you wish for
the purpose of life you take is what you make you to
stay
let us begin to stop for a while, many things has yet!
to be revealed, as round a round we go, we come to
know that life is clear, immortal soul is not a pointless
venture of this moment, for letting us to live is what
makes us to believe that forever the heaven is our
dear home
let our hearts move to receive the truth in our life, that to
live according to the will of God....for life is made than
what we have expected and life have just come to the
place where we are returning home
the time has to come to live this life to serve this
purpose the awaited moment of our life

We Fly So Close
we never realise just how close we come to disaster whether in love or everyday life...
My harbour lights are fading fast
Soon theyll disappear
Alone I sit in darkness
Hoping someone might come near
Though I wait, though I try
No one ever comes
And the feeling that I have flood over me
The river starts to run
We fly so close
We fly so close
Sometimes we fly too close
Every place you run to, everywhere you turn
There are places that you know you should not go
But some bridges just wont burn
All my life, though I try
I cannot change the past
And the ghosts that come back to haunt you
Make you realise at last
We fly so close
We fly so close
Sometimes we fly too close
We fly too close
My heart is racing much faster now
Life passes before my eyes
Somethings I see, they make me smile
Somethings they make me cry
So I look, so I try to find
A lesson I can learn
The passing of time hasnt changed my mind
And the ghosts I know return
You know we fly so close
We fly so close
Sometimes we fly too close
We fly too close
We fly so close, you and I sometimes
Sometimes we fly so close,
Well never know how many times
We fly so close
We fly so close

Give Me Just One Night
If you're tellin' me you want me
Hold me close all through the night
I know deep inside you need me
No one else can make it right
Don't you try to hide the secrets
I can see it ifn your eyes
You said the words without speaking
And i'm gonna make you mine
Chorus:
Give me just one night, una noche
A moment to be by your side
Give me just one night, una noche
I'll give you the time of your life
The time of your life
Oh
Give you the time of your life
Oh baby yeah
Love and passion make me crazy
Your existence makes me wild
Wanna loosen up your feelings
To see what's hiding inside
Chorus
The time of your life
Oh oh yeah
Oh baby
Ay, que rico
Oh, how good
Me pone loca
You make me crazy
Como te mueve
How you move
Como me toca
How you touch me
Tu movimiento
Your movement
Tu sentimiento
Your feeling
Si, yo te quiero
Yes, i love you
Te doy la noche
I'll give you the night
Toda la noche
All night long
Ay, vamos
Let's go
Give me just one night, just one night baby
A moment to be by your side
Give me just one night, just one night oh baby
I'll give you the time of your life
(give you the time of your life)
Give me just one night
Give me just one night, una noche
A moment to be by your side
(a moment to be by your side)
Give me just one night, una noche, oh yeah
I'll give you the time of your life
Give me just one night, una noche
A moment to be by your side
(a moment to be by your side)
Give me just one night, una noche
I'll give you the time of your life
(give you the time of your life)
The time of your life
Oh yeah

Pure And Untouched
there is the other side of the mountain
made of dessert sand
nothing interesting in there
no gems,
everything diamond-like
is just imagination
when a friend asks about this side
we tell all these lies
that at its foot is a comfortable cottage
that beside it is a river
there is a white horse,
birds often make a stop-over here
trees are fruiting
and flowers bloom all year long
to be fair
there is also something true and beautiful in that
other side
but no one knows it except you
and on that same side of the mountain
you still make lies
afraid that someone shall take it away from you
because you are weak
and cannot protect it
from the invasion of the masses
from the shallowness of their minds
their incapacity to understand that in there
everything is good and can be seen and felt
but not a bit shall be taken
it is the world where the spectator must view
the world with respect
because it is untouched because it remains
to be itself
untaken, untouchable,
pure, and hence can never be us.

The Reckoning
(Chorus)
Destiny spawned us, it's the reckoning
This time it's our blood, don't tread on me
Revenge is not justice, it's the reckoning
This time it's our blood, yeah don't tread on me
You went too far this time, for this heinous crime
You will know defeat, begging on your knees
One by one you'll fall, your back against the wall
Nowhere to turn, your sure to burn
(Chorus)
Destiny spawned us, it's the reckoning
This time it's our blood, don't tread on me
The hours close at hand, I'll make my final stand
Justice shall be done, nowhere to run
True evil grows in you, you're just a brainwashed fool
The coward close that hides, spewing forth his lies
(Chorus)
Revenge is not justice, it's the reckoning
This time it's our blood, yeah don't tread on me
Born of destruction, bred in agony
Is this my salvation?
From these ashes of your devastation
If it was up to me, eye for an eye I say
With a hammer we will take, Lady Justice is asleep
The Judgement has been made, in blood it shall be paid
Death knows what to do, the horseman comes for you.
(Chorus)
Destiny spawned us, it's the reckoning
This time it's our blood, don't tread on me
Revenge is not justice, it's the reckoning
This time it's our blood, yeah don't tread on me

Perhaps
perhaps an evil thorn
could stop the bleeding pain
wherever it were born
for those mad and sane
perhaps those evil hours
could stop the sandy moments
or maybe make the flowers
out of thorn like torments
perhaps some blissful hands
could touch the golden skies
for whoever understands
the why of all the whys
perhaps the longest hair
could make a silent nest
perhaps it could pair
the worst and the best
perhaps the waters wide
could spill when all time lapses
to make an ocean's side
say no to all perhapses

Cry Again
its difficult to love you
when you do the things you do
time and time again
and when i try to play it wrong
you turn from smooth
you play it rough once again
you make me cry
you make me cry again
you make me cry
you make me cry again
you make me cry
you make me cry
saturday, same old story
Sunday mornings wounded glory repeats again
and every day a dream is born
is counted by a love thats torn, deep again
you make me cry
you make me cry again
and the tears roll by
you make me cry again
you make me cry
and you make me cry
you make me cry
you make me cry again
tide? that turns me into this ocean
subsides again
so high and so dry
with this bitter emotion lies again
you make me cry
you make me cry
and you make me cry
stop making me cry
stop making me cry
and you make me cry
you make me cry

The Three Kings [1]
The East is dead and the West is done, and again our course lies thus
South-east by Fate and the Rising Sun where the Three Kings wait for us.
When our hearts are young and the world is wide, and the heights seem grand to climb—
We are off and away to the Sydney-side; but the Three Kings bide their time.
‘I’ve been to the West,’ the digger said: he was bearded, bronzed and old;
Ah, the smothering curse of the East is wool, and the curse of the West is gold.
I went to the West in the golden boom, with Hope and a life-long mate,
‘They sleep in the sand by the Boulder Soak, and long may the Three Kings wait.’
‘I’ve had my fling on the Sydney-side,’ said a blacksheep to the sea,
Let the young fool learn when he can’t be taught: I’ve learnt what’s good for me.’
And he gazed ahead on the sea-line dim—grown dim in his softened eyes—
With a pain in his heart that was good for him—as he saw the Three Kings rise.
A pale girl sits on the foc’sle head—she is back, Three Kings! so soon;
But it seems to her like a life-time dead since she fled with him ‘saloon.’
There is refuge still in the old folks’ arms for the child that loved too well;
They will hide her shame on the Southern farm—and the Three Kings will not tell.
’Twas a restless heart on the tide of life, and a false star in the skies
That led me on to the deadly strife where the Southern London lies;
But I dream in peace of a home for me, by a glorious southern sound,
As the sunset fades from a moonlit sea, and the Three Kings show us round.
Our hearts are young and the old hearts old, and life, on the farms is slow,
And away in the world there is fame and gold—and the Three Kings watch us go.
Our heads seem wise and the world seems wide, and its heights are ours to climb,
So it’s off and away in our youthful pride—but the Three Kings bide our time.

Prayer
Pardon me for being sinner,
Conscious awake from inner,
Not miss you with lunch or dinner,
Never consider looser or winner,
Sailing a boat with fear to capsize,
Express faith and energy organize,
Not a worry for life and death,
Always with your sacred name and oath,
Lead me to success and glory,
Bow head down with no worry,
No more sin to feel guilty and sorry,
Father like you and mother like Mary,
Want to lead life and live very simple,
Waste not life and time very ample,
Message of peace and love to people,
Woke up to an idea late in life,
Still not lost and now it is rife,
So to say O, Lord, be on my side,
Afford me a chance with area so wide,
Whole my life work and ideals,
Have your bless and look always real,
If I succeed to make wound heal,
Offer to hungry hard earned meal,
Give me courage to serve the poor,
Open passage with no lock on door,
If I can solve woes they narrate,
Offer of be longings, property to donate,
Landed I cloth less with beautiful smile,
Happiness all over for brief and while,
So nothing on hand when ready depart,
Strong attachment with no feeling apart,
I wish to be humble with life so noble,
Pray with both hands to work and able,
Grace with occasion and feel capable,
Path not easy as to walk on marble,
I want no heaven but service to land,
Help to needy with bare tow hands,
No pomp and show with playing of band,
Forehead to be rubbed with holy sand,
Sea may wash shore with her waves,
Lion may roar with fear in caves,
I may surrender with holy words,
Prayer at heart with praise for lords

Time Stand Still
Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
I turn my back to the wind
To catch my breath,
Before I start off again
Driven on,
Without a moment to spend
To pass an evening
With a drink and a friend
I let my skin get too thin
Id like to pause,
No matter what I pretend
Like some pilgrim --
Who learns to transcend --
Learns to live
As if each step was the end
Time stand still --
Im not looking back
But I want to look around me now
See more of the people
And the places that surround me now
Freeze this moment
A little bit longer
Make each sensation
A little bit stronger
Experience slips away...
I turn my face to the sun
Close my eyes,
Let my defences down --
All those wounds
That I cant get unwound
I let my past go too fast
No time to pause --
If I could slow it all down
Like some captain,
Whose ship runs aground --
I can wait until the tide
Comes around
Make each impression
A little bit stronger
Freeze this motion
A little bit longer
The innocence slips away...
Summers going fast --
Nights growing colder
Children growing up --
Old friends growing older
Experience slips away...

See You On The Other Side
Voices, a thousand, thousand voices
Whispering, the time has passed for choices
Golden days are passing over, yeah
I cant seem to see you baby
Although my eyes are open wide
But I know Ill see you once more
When I see you, Ill see you on the other side
Yes, Ill see you, Ill see you on the other side
Leaving, I hate to see you cry
Grieving, I hate to say goodbye
Dust and ash forever, yeah
Though I know we mus be parted
As sure as stars are in the sky
Im gonna see when it comes to glory
And Ill see you, Ill see you on the other side
Yes Ill see you, Ill see you on the other side
Never thought Id feel like this
Strange to be alone, yeah
But well be together
Carved in stone, carved in stone, carved in stone
Hold me, hold me thight, Im falling
Far away. distant voices calling
Im so cold. I need you darling, yeah
I was down, but now Im flying
Straight across the great divide
I know youre crying, but Ill stop you crying
When I see you, I see you on the other side
Yes. Ill see you. see you on the othe side
Im gonna see you. see you on the other side
God knows Ill see you, see you on the other side, yeah
Ill see you. see you on the othe side
Im gonna see you. see you on the other side
God knows Ill see you, see you on the other side, yeah
I wanna see you, yeah, yeah, yeah, see you on the other side
God knows Ill see you, see you on the other side, yeah
Im gonna see you. see you on the other side

Briefs 2
Time is an illusion
devised by taskmasters
To urge their agendas on others
for the sake of cheap labor
In hopes of obtaining riches.
Time-a necessary evil:
how necessary, how evil
depends on your needs
And the extant to which you rely on others
To make you a fortune
Even though they find sustainence in the process.
But paying little to make big fortunes
(even if in the end you are called a philanthropist)
Is always evil.

Sheer Comfort
The lion cub was awfully glad,
So was his mother, too...
Reflecting on the life they had,
Affection grew and grew...
The sun was shining on the trees,
The mountains and the plains...
And there was such a gentle breeze...
Life had no stress or strains...
Of course they knew this wouldn't last,
Yet this would do for now!
Sheer comfort till the moment passed,
Till God would disallow...
They both breathed gently side-by-side,
Contentment shared in time...
At peace, they stared, eyes opened wide,
Recalling sights sublime...
They shared no silver, owned no gold,
They wore no jewellry...
Yet they had wealth and love untold
To last eternity...

Sign Of The Times
When the word is out from the other side
She turns around
Cause day and night shes waited patiently
Now a diferent kind of world out there
Is to be found
Its over now for everyone to see
This is the way its meant to be
Its the way that we make things right
Its the way that we hold on tight
I know, its the sign of the times
Its the way that we make things turn
Its the way that we live and learn
I know, its the sign of the times
It wakes him up, he turns around
And now hes gone
Hes been waitin for this moment desperately
Now the time is right, hes turnin back
Hes going home
Yeah its over now for everyone to see
This is the way its meant to be
Its the way that we make things right
Its the way that we hold on tight
I know, its the sign of the times
Its the way that we make things turn
Its the way that we live and learn
I know, its the sign of the times
And every time its on my mind
I feel so insecure it worries me
To end up here alone
But everytime I realize I need her more and more
Id never make it on my own

Ballad Of The Mad Ladye
The rowan tree grows by the tower foot,
(_Flotsam and jetsam from over the sea,
Can the dead feel joy or pain?_)
And the owls in the ivy blink and hoot,
And the sea-waves bubble around its root,
Where kelp and tangle and sea-shells be,
When the bat in the dark flies silently.
(_Hark to the wind and the rain._)
The ladye sits in the turret alone,
(_Flotsam and jetsam from over the sea,
The dead--can they complain?_)
And her long hair down to her knee has grown,
And her hand is cold as a hand of stone,
And wan as a band of flesh may be,
While the bird in the bower sings merrily.
(_Hark to the wind and the rain._)
Sadly she leans by her casement side
(_Flotsam and jetsam from over the sea,
Can the dead arise again?_)
And watcheth the ebbing and flowing tide,
But her eye is dim, and the sea is wide;
The fisherman's sail and the cloud flies free
And the bird is mute in the rowan tree.
(_Hark to the wind and the rain._)
The moon shone in on the turret stair
(_Flotsam and jetsam from over the sea,
The dead are bound with a chain._)
And touched her cheek and brightened her hair,
And found naught else in the world so fair,
So ghostly fair as the mad ladye,
While the bird in the bower sang lonesomely.
(_Hark to the wind and the rain._)
The weary days and the months crept on,
(_Flotsam and jetsam from over the sea,
The words of the dead are vain_)
At last the summer was over and gone,
And still she sat in her turret alone,
Her white hands clasping about her knee,
And the bird was mute in the rowan tree.
(_Hark to the wind and the rain._)
Wild was the sound of the wind and the sleet,
(_Flotsam and jetsam from over the sea.
The dead--do they walk again?_)
Wilder the roar of the surf that beat;
Whose was the form that it bore to her feet
Swayed with the swell of the unquiet sea,
While the raven croaked in the rowan tree.
(_Hark to the wind and the rain._)
Oh Lady, strange is the silent guest--
(_Flotsam and jetsam cast up by the sea,
Can the dead feel sorrow or pain?_)
With the sea-drenched locks and the pulseless breast
And the close-shut lips which thine have pressed
And the wide sad eyes that heed not thee,
While the raven croaks in the rowan tree.
(_Hark to the wind and the rain._)
The tower is dark, and the doors are wide,
(_Flotsam and jetsam cast up by the sea,
The dead are at peace again._)
Into the harbour the fisher boats ride,
But two went out with the ebbing tide,
Without sail, without oar, full fast and free,
And the raven croaks in the rowan tree.
(_Hark to the wind and the rain._)

Bias
even when the lion
smiles at us
we still withhold
confidence
even if the lion is
sincere
and does not think of
evil
like eating all of us
as prey
we always think of
the worst
even if it is just a picture
of the lion
smiling at us
we still suspect
that this can be a trap
another deception
a lion is a lion is a lion
and will always be lion
no matter what
as simple as that

My Hero
The lion cub was mighty proud
As he stared up above
And heard his father roar so loud,
For he was truly tough!
Adorned with wondrous golden mane
That circled like a ring
With all his coat like golden grain
And every inch a king...
The lion cub looked at his jaw,
Like granite, chiselled stone,
Commanding solemn silent awe,
For he was fully grown...
Yet there he stayed, composed, serene,
As if the world was his.
The alpha male, the sovereign,
No greater dream than this...
The lion cub would grow in time...
His father knew it well.
Their destiny was so sublime,
It caused his heart to swell.
That's why he let the cub stay close,
To learn what must be done...
For who knows all the lion knows,
How best to love his son?
