While Posing.
Mr Clementon says to sit
and wait and pose and you
sit as told and watch as he
prepares the easel and sorts
his brushes and paints and
all the while he sings in a soft
humming undertone his focus
on his task and not at all on you
and you watch and see how slim
his fingers are and not at all like
most men’s fingers are and his
hands are white and his face now
turned to you is shaved clean and
unblemished like a baby’s skin
and you think how soft it must
be to be close to him and sense
his flesh on yours and try and keep
your head still Molly he says firmly
bringing you down to earth and
drawing you from your thoughts
I need you to sit still and not move
unless I say and he begins and his
eyes move from you to the canvas
and back to you again and outside
the window the beginning of rain.

Move In
Move in, move in
Move in, watch me move in
Invite me to a party
Hang some colour on the walls
It makes me feel like eighteen
Im gonna change things for us all
Sooner or later the music goes
I see a trace of sweat on your face
Move in, move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, watch me move in
Remember now the times we had
Our worlds turned round but thats okay
Yet, things still look the same
People dancing so much
Keep it pushing come what may
Sooner or later the music goes
I see a trace of sweat on your face
Move in, move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, watch me move in
Remember now the times we had
I see the lights are low now
But still the faces glow
A year thats full of zeros
Yet who knows what that holds
Sooner or later the music goes
I see a trace of sweat on your face
Move in, move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, watch me move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, watch me move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, move in
Remember now the times we had
Move in, watch me move in
Remember now the times we had
Lead on
Oh the music goes
And I feel it pushing on, baby
I feel its pushing
Push against me
Please, stop
I feel the music
Inside me

So Real
Run your fingers
Up my spine
Gently caressing
I feel fine
No, better than fine
soft and sexy
Your roaming hands
Exciting me
Turn me about as you will
Anything you do
I'll be pleased
Lips on my skin, this is new
A soft moan escapes
I want to do the same
Run my fingers through your hair
Feel my ignited flame
Reaching out
You move away
'Please don't go!
Come back! Stay! '
A cheeky smile
Across your face
'Sshh' you whisper
Let's keep a steady pace
Down you move
Your hand on my hips
Then suddenly I feel
My warmth and your lips
O sweet torture
What heavenly bliss
Please don't stop!
Never end this kiss!
But then you do
Caressing my leg
Further down you go
Please don't make me beg
Wait! Hold on!
I'm undressed? !
Is this what you did
With each caress?
Come back please
I'm starting to shiver
Your body over mine
Its the perfect cover
Where have you gone?
I can't feel your heat
Was is something I said?
Why won't our lips meet?
Tossing and turning
Moving around
Trying to feel for you
I can't hear a sound
why won't my eyes open
They're not covered
I need to see you -
Complete darkness, I'm shuttered!
Let's try again
One eye at a time
Just a peak
But what do I find
All alone tangled in sheets
It was just a dream!
Still fully clothed
I want to scream!

The Girl with the Croissant.
You watch the way the girl
Pulls apart the croissant with
Her slim fingers and licks each
Finger in turn sucking on each
With the passion of one making
Love and yet as she pulls it apart
There is that slowness oh that
Deliberate tearing open as if she
Were now opening herself for her
Latest lover as her fingers pull and
Her eyes gaze and her tongue licks
The corners of her soft mouth to
Catch escaping crumbs as if they
Were the juices of her lover’s sperm
Then she turns her head and sees
Your stare and you just wishing you
Was the croissant in her fingers there.

Baylitz's Wife And A Game Of Chess
Baylitz's wife served you snacks and booze
while you played chess in the lounge
at the small table set aside for games
and you watched her come and go
the swaying of her hips
the well crafted thighs
beneath the dress
the way her hands held the tray
her eyes green as emeralds
searching you as she laid it down
watch your bishop
Baylitz said
but in your imagination
you were already undressing his wife
for bed letting fall her dress
and bra and underwear
of flamingo pink or soft sky blue
you've left your castle well exposed
Baylitz muttered
his fingers over the piece
waiting there to pounce
you made a protective move
and he smiled and studied the board
as his wife stood by the window looking out
your eyes moved over her frame
caught in the sun's light
imagining her beneath you
in their broad bed
her lips on your chest
ah you've sacrificed your pawn too easy
Baylitz said and swooped in
for the kill of your piece
by his black bishop
you sat back in the chair
gave a sad expression
your eyes touching his wife's soft flesh
your king's in danger
Baylitz said
and your eyes moved back to the board
and studied Baylitz's fingers
lingering murderously
but too late
he moved in for the kill
checkmate
he stated
you sighed
and looked at his wife
who pulled a face
you sat
your dream of sex and love
stilled in frozen frame
another time maybe
Baylitz said
ok
you replied
unfulfilled.

Fingers Of Love
Can you imagine this
An itch to sensitive to scratch
The light that falls through the cracks
An insect to delicate to catch
I hear the endless murmur
Every blade of grass that shivers in the breeze
And the sound that comes to carry me
Across the land and over the sea
And I can't look up
Fingers of love move down
And I can't look back
Fingers of love move down
Colour is its own reward
Colour is its own reward
The chiming of a perfect chord
Let's go jumping overboard
Into waves of joy and clarity
Your hands come out to rescue me
And I'm playing in the shallow water
Laughing while the mad dog sleeps
And I can't look up
Fingers of love move down
And I won't be hit
Fingers of love move everywhere
There is time yet
Fall by the way
From the cradle to the grave
From a palace to the gutter
From beneath the dying waves
To the sun like fingers of love
Through waves of joy and clarity
A fallen angel walked on the sea
And I'm playing in the shallow water
Laughing while the mad dog sleeps
And I can't look up
Fingers of love move down
And I won't be hit
Fingers of love move everywhere
There is time yet
For you to find me
And all I want
Fingers of love move down

Do Not Worry
Take your right hand,
Palm facing up,
And line your fingers
With your teeth.
Hold firmly onto the roof of your mouth.
Do the same with your left hand,
But grip your chin.
Move your hands in opposite directions
Until you hear your jaw cracking
Against the pressure
You put yourself through.
Let your face relax
Back into place.
Let your elastic skin
Rubber-band back into the folds
Sagging over the shadows on your face.
Let it cover your wrinkles
And worry lines.
Then, try again.
Try to unfold your head.
Open it like a book.
Expose your throat to the wind
To let it blow the words
You couldn't speak away.
Split your lips at the seams,
So that a smile may spread its way
Across your rigid cheeks.
Do not worry when your skull
Whacks against your back
And ricochets into the air.
Do not worry when your jaw
Slaps and swings at your chest
By the light current of the breeze.
Do not worry when your blood
Spills all over,
Drenching the dirty ground
And the eyes of everyone
As they watch you
Pull yourself apart.
Do not worry.

Putting in the seed
Your body is soft and hot
where you lie,
stretched out on the bed.
Every part of your body
draws my eyes
and somehow there’s more,
than just need and lust
that awakes between us.
Two mounts with tipped peaks
rise up and down
and respond to soft touch
and your neck is slender
and slim under my lips.
You shiver as I touch your ears
and something in your eyes
make my manhood raise
and your soft fingers
lingers magically over me.
A curling patch
with tuffs of black hair
draws my fingers,
down to the hot and soft intensity
of becoming part of you.
a Hallowed moment hangs
between us
and when I enter you
there’s magic,
that envelops me
and we twist and rise
and sway
and your cries and moans
drives me wild
and I feel you shudder
under me
and the seed frizzes out.
Moments drag on and on
and I am putting the seed
into fertile ground
and I hear you breathe
and feel your heart beat
as part of me
and I am yours
and your hair brushes
soft and tickling
over my cheek
and there’s sparks
deep down in your golden eyes
and somehow I can feel God
in the love between us.

Under Apple Trees
She lay beside you
under the apple trees
the bees and butterflies overhead
the glimmer of sunlight
through the branches
and she said
I can smell the apples
from here
and if I close my eyes
I feel I'm in a foreign field
lying in some overseas orchard
and happy beneath the sun
and you turned your head
and said
Am I with you
lying in that orchard
beneath a foreign sun?
and you studied her profile
the shadows dancing
across her cheek
a butterfly just above her head
Sure
she said
As if I'd dream of anywhere
without you by my side
and she reached out a hand
and touched your fingers
with hers and it seemed
a pulse danced
between the fingers
as if love momentarily
could be felt
could be sensed
in the space
between fingers
and riding
in the hearts
and heads
and she turned
to face you
her eyes reflecting
a different sun
and your hand sliding
along her thigh
and she shaking
her head slightly
eased out
a soft sigh.

Move Over Ms. L.
One, two, a one, two, three, four
Well now the underground and overjoyed they come on just the same
Don't wanna get too real man, just wanna play the game
I guess ya knew it all along we were just singing in the rain
Can't get hipped to the down trip, the ship is sailing yet
And if it sinks, you know that all you really get is wet!
Move over ms. l.
You know i wish you well
Move over ms. l. you know i wish you well
Move over ms. l.
Well now to err is something human and forgiving so divine
I'll forgive your trespasses, if you forgive me mine
Life's a deal, you knew it, when you signed the dotted line
They nail you to the paper, put a rope around your neck
And so we sing along, the boy stood on the burning deck!
Move over ms. l.
You know i wish you well
Move over ms. l. you know i wish you well
Move over ms. l.
Well now momma poppa told me son you better watch your head
Your head is fulla snakes boy, you're better red than dead
They're starving back in china, that's what they always said!
Can't get head in the head shop, yer jeans are fulla crap
You're full of beans, you're in your teens, you lost your momma's road map!
Move over ms. l.
You know i wish you well
Move over ms. l. you know i wish you well
Move over ms. l.

Shadows
There are two of me
One does the right thing,
One cannot see.
Standing back to back,
Who is the strong one
In the last act?
Every path I take,
Roads I go down,
Choices I make,
Take me right between
Patches of light and
Darkness in me.
Oh, we have to keep
A watch on our shadows--
Every move
They secretly make.
We try to be
So close to heaven,
But then our shadows,
They run away.
They pull away.
Oh....
And the shadows prove,
Falling behind,
Tracing each move, oh,
When I do some wrong,
There is no hiding;
Shadows are long.
So we have to keep
A watch on our shadows--
Every move (every move)
They secret make, yeah, yeah,
We try to be
So close to heaven, (mmmm....)
But then our shadows,
Pull us away.
They pull away....
We have to keep
A watch on our shadows--
Every move (ooooh....)
They secretly make, yeah,
We try to be
So close to heaven,
But then our shadows,
They pull us away.
Oh, we have to keep
A watch on our shadows--
Every move (oooh....) they secretly make, yeah,
We try to be
So close to heaven,
But then our shadows
Pull us away.
Pull us away.
Pull us away.
(ha, hu ha, oh no, cha cha.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
Keepin it under my shadow.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
On my shadow.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
Keepin it under my shadow.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
Keepin it under my shadow.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
Keepin it under my shadow.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
On my shadow.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
Keepin it under my shadow.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
Keepin it under my shadow.)

Ivory and Rose
Here in this moonlit room, I watch you slip
One shoulder from your dress and turn to me;
A polished statue, flushing to the tip
Of marble fingers gradually.
And, like a ripe moon out of flimsy clouds,
Blossoms the shining fulness of your breast.
These curves conceal, this dear perfection shrouds
A soft, miraculous nest.
Your ivory body pulses as the white
Flesh catches flame and rosy tremblings move
Over this sanctuary of delight,
The last asylum of our love.

I Could Have Told You More
i could have told you more
about love about us
about everything within me
but in your indifference
i decided to shut up
and close my fingers
back to the fold of my hands
i see it in the looks of your eyes
there is no us
there was never us from the
very beginning when i extended
my hand for a shake and
told you my very first name.
some flowers simply shy away
from darker clouds
and fear the coming of the rain
for petals to open up and bloom
the sun must first promise to shine

Sweet Baby
Baby, sweet baby, with tears in your eyes
Rest your head gently, there's no need to cry,
Come let me sing you a soft lullaby
The sandman is coming and dreamland is nigh;
Baby, sweet baby, with skin soft and fair
And little pink ribbons done up in your hair,
In your tiny world there should not be a care
May angels surround you and send you a prayer;
Baby, sweet baby, your cute button nose
Your soft tiny fingers and sweet baby toes
Have truly bewitched me and nobody knows
How the depth of my love for you just grows and grows;
So precious and tender your love is to me,
Until I first held you, I never could see
How wonderfully magical my life could be -
You've opened my heart and my spirit is free!
For my sweet little angel Shelby Lynn
Big, Wide, White Soft Pillow On My Bed Tonight
big, wide, white soft pillows
on my bed tonight
my head rests for a while
as i wait for you
on this kind of lovely game
my fingers are tired and there they
are fainting with my hands
my eyes are closing like the windows
of the houses in the village
lights turning off like fireflies
getting some sleep on treetops
some locks of my hair fall on the the white
linens where my body lies
like a mountain on the grasy plain
white soft pillows on my bed
my conscience sleeps like a fat man drunk and dead asleep
on the thick warm pastel blue mattress
not hearing the loudness of his snores

I Begin Again
and so i begin again
from the cold winds of my desert nights
where there is no moon where there are no stars in the skies
i rest on the sands and lay my head there
waiting for tomorrow
tonight i must again think of you
the face that makes my blood move like running water
on dried river beds
on emptied wells
on fields cracked by too much dryness
tonight i recall again
the first kiss from your innocent lips
your soft hands holding my body
your words of love comforting me to always move on
and always be strong and confident
deep in this lonely night
i close my eyes
i enter another world before tomorrow comes
this world of dreams
where we kiss and make love again for
another beginning
it is dark and so silent and then the desert begins to sing

The Assasin
Now the contracts out
Theyve out the word about
Im coming after you
Its not the money I make
Its the thrill of the chase
And Im coming after you
I watch you every move
Study the things you do
And the pattern of your ways
I watch you walk you walk
I hear your telephone talk
I want to understand the way you think
Better watch out cos Im the assassin
Better watch out better watch out
Better watch out cos Im the assassin
Better watch out better watch out
Im in a cold sweat
I taste the smell of death
I know the moments getting closer
And as you walk to the light
I feel my hands go tight
Excitement running through my veins
Ive got you in my sights
Ive got you dead to rights
The triggers waiting for my fingers
I feel adrenalin rush
Its just the final touch
You can kiss your arse goodbye

Water and Me
swimming is the like the moon and the sun for me
the water's smooth fingers of bubbles dance on my summer tanned skin
the slashes of the water ring in my ear
the smell of chlorine awakens my soul
the water likes like a newly ice covered pound in the harsh winter weather but can quickly change with one move creating a wave of life braking all peace
the blue color so strong that no one can brake it's bond of beauty
so powerful it can eat though rock and tackle you with one wave but soft enough to wash a new born’s skin to a shin
my body cuts though the water like knife on ripe fruit
the main part of life
we live on the water and water lives in us
swimming for me is like the sun and the moon

Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
Packaged like a rebel or a hero
Target mass appeal
To make an audience feel
He really means it
Package the illusion of persona
Careful to conceal
The fact that shes only too real
Shes got to screen it
Hit you in a soft place
A melody so sweet
A strong and simple beat
That you can dance to
Watch his every move
Superconductor
Orchestrate illusions
Superconductor
Watch his every move
Superconductor
Hoping youll believe
Designing to deceive
Thats entertainment
He can put a target on the market
Bask in your applause
Reality withdraws
Now he believes it
The role becomes the actor
Shes addicted to applause
The stage a world because
She never leaves it
Hit you in a soft place
With sentimental ease
They know the fantasies
That you romance to
Watch her every move

She can manipulate reactions

Watch her every move

Pin the donkeys on her tail
Fantasy for sale
Thats entertainment...

Ode To Boy
When he moves I watch him from behind
He turns and laughter flickers in his eyes
Intent and direct when he speaks, I watch his lips
And when he drives I love to watch his hand
White and smooth almost feminine, almost american, I have to watch him.
(chorus)
In his face age descends on youth, exaggeration on the truth
He caught me looking then but soon his eyes forgot
And everything he seems to do reflects just another shade of blue
I saw him searching into you and ached a while
I watch his lips caress the glass,
His fingers stroke its stem and pass
To lift a cigarette at last, he dries his eyes
From a shadow by the stair
I watch as he weeps unaware
That Im in awe of his despair, but I am there
(chorus repeat)
