Vampires

Warning: the thematic persona of this poem may offend some readers?

There exists
a certain class
comprising
preying people.

Who strive
emotionally
earnestly endeavour
to enlarge
personified problems.

Using optical illusions
to promote increase
strife awareness.

To stimulate
desired sympathy.

Dug in staunch
chronic sympathy seekers
sell a perverse mixture
comprising bullshit
chickenshit
fish boned gut
seaweed and fresh
horse manure.

Neglected apathetically
chronic sympathy seekers
do indeed ripen
copiously
unless lanced
with indigenous
frost flaming fortitude.

Being listless emotion leeches
sucking compassion
chronic sympathy seekers
tend to leave sought
languid victims drained.

Such spiritually void people
regularly sinuate schemes
to make common misfortune
magnified problems larger.

Carry poverty
with dignity.
No pretence
no attempt to hide.

Look it squarely
straight in sickly eye.
When faced with vigour
adversary will often flinch.

Accept my sympathy

In all sincerity
It is a pathetic pity
I merely offer sympathy
With such velocity
This sadness born out of the blue
That decides to levy itself on you

In your fixed stillness
I sense your illness
Accept my sympathy

You lost a pet
Somebody made you upset
Accept my sympathy

You lost a friend
Your broken heart is yet to mend
Accept my sympathy

You were once abused
Possibly at times wrongly accused
Accept my sympathy

You marriage is on the rocks
You got divorced, left without a buck
Accept my sympathy

You lost a fortune
Your voice can't sing a decent tune
Accept my sympathy

You lost in love or lost your job
Or perhaps at one stage got robbed
Accept my sympathy

Your life is a mess
Everything around you depresses

Whatever the circumstances
Accept my sympathy
And if I happen to show no sympathy
Please accept my sympathy!

I Am Channeling Poe

Once upon a midnight dreary
'I've heard that before.'
I am channeling Poe.

'You don't have to channel po' no 'mo.
I think you have been very successful.
I make a suggestion you channel some dough,
So you can pay me back the money you owe.'

You have no sympathy for artists at all,
Do you?

'Why should I have sympathy,
For somebody channeling po'?
Do you know how many people
Right outside that door,
That have painted that picture too long.
Now...
IF you can channel up some fish and grits,
I'll give you all the sympathy you want.'

Are you here to bug me or what?

'You go right ahead.
Channel up all the 'po' you want.
I aint into it.
I know a few folks,
Who are not painting those kinds of pictures.
You told me earlier
You were home alone writing! '

A Pocketful of Sympathy

A pocketful of sympathy
Is really rather wonderful
To stop a scratch from stinging
Or a bruise from black and bluing

A pocketful of sympathy
Can stop a heart from hurting
Or catch a tear that's falling
Like a raindropp down a cheek

A pocketful of sympathy
Costs absolutely nothing
It's the cheapest kind of plaster
That you'll ever ever find

And a pocketful of sympathy
Is like Lindsay's Magic Pudding
'Cos the more of it you give away
The more you leave behind

Fate Accompli

Fate Accompli

the old man of seventy five
next to my bed
is trying to solve the unsolved ones
in his un-decipherable murmurs

he seems to be of high stature
in his hey days
the wife and son left him alone
for medical care

he looks for the control key
dangled for so many years
longed for sympathy compassion
he solicited their assistance
to unmask the unsolved mysteries
but with no avail

will it be the fate of all of us
can't go back to my desired time and place
to sort out problems created by us

no second chance to amend our misdeeds
no return of sympathy from them
for whom we spent our youth and thereafter

Sympathy

So you've seen the sunrise on the Nile
solved the mystery of the mona lisa's smile
you proclaim your innocence
what you saying
makes no sense to me at all
So you help the needy and the sick
heard confessions of a lunatic
my eyes are growing dim
ghost shadows closing in
around me now
and there ain't no sympathy at all
just a sea of angry faces
staring at me
there ain't no sympathy at all
I gotta find someone
to make me happy
so you've scattered roses at Versailles
wiped a teardrop from an old man's eye
seeing you in such distress
I'm afraid I must confess
that boys don't cry
and there ain't no sympathy at all
just a sea of angry faces
staring at me
there ain't no sympathy at all
I gotta find someone
to make me happy
Solo
and there ain't no sympathy at all
just a sea of angry faces
staring at me
there ain't no sympathy at all
I gotta find someone,
gotta find someone,
gotta find someone

Sympathy

I don't want nothing
Cause nothing's all you give
I don't need your touch
That could be too much for me
I don't want your lies
Burning deep inside of me
Look into my eyes
I don't want your sympathy

Should've known it was over
Can we still bring back before
As the love is certainly colder
You don't need me any more
Now nothing lasts forever like I said before
I don't want your sympathy no more

I don't want my love
It's been misunderstood
So I think I'm giving up
I can never give it up fair way

I don't want your lies
Burning deep inside of me
Look into my eyes
I don't want your sympathy

I don't want your sympathy
I don't need you here with me
I don't want your sympathy
I can't take it anymore
Because I'm hurt enough before

Musings By Sea: Country

My hallowed land needs
Not muscles alone but manliness
Not passion but patience:
More than sympathy she needs sacrifice.
Not idle-worship but industry
Not words but willingness:
More than people, participants.
Not knowledge but action
Not admirers but administrators:
More than faith she needs faithfulness.
Not speakers but truth-seekers
Not intellect but initiative:
More than hands she needs hearts.
Not caste-ity but chastity
Not lives but love:
More than gods, godliness.

Sympathy

(mark ashton, graham stansfield, david kaffinetti, stephen gould)
Now when you climb into your bed tonight
And when you lock and bolt the door
Just think about those out in the cold and dark
cause theres not enough love to go round
No theres not enough love to go round
And sympathy is what we need my friends
And sympathy is what we need
And sympathy is what we need my friends
cause theres not enough love to go round
No theres not enough love to go round
Now half the world hates the other half
And half the world has all the food
And half the world lies down and quietly starves
cause theres not enough love to go round
No theres not enough love to go round
No theres not enough love to go round
No theres not enough love to go round
And sympathy is what we need my friends
And sympathy is what we need
And sympathy is what we need my friends
cause theres not enough love to go round
No theres not enough love
No theres not enough love to go round

Sympathies dry

Poverty is not mother of grief.
The mother is disparity.
Prosperity cannot drive out grief.
Prosperity eliminates poverty.
With poverty elopes sympathy.
Suicides grow not from poverty
But from want of sympathy.

Sympathy for what's Lost

What cant be fixed will always be broken, so I don’t waste my time with silliness and joking
I don’t sit on the wall but I stand on my word, i'm shy like a turtle but I speak to be
heard,
If you make a decision you must always pay the cost, I don’t feel sad for what’s gone or have sympathy for what’s lost,
My days come and go, my happiness leaves with it, darkness was cold but now I forget
it,
My conscience don’t faze me, my eyes never lie, but people don’t care about the feelings I hide,
So I say screw the people, and whoever’s the boss, my trust for it is gone and my sympathy is lost.

Dont Break This Rhythm

Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
All this momentum keeps stealing through
Across the cornfields, through all the marshland
Theres nothing gonna stop this thing
Clear the trees, burn the brushwood
Bring the diggers in, Im gonna move this earth
Lay the big stones, put down the sleepers
Haul the steel in, I will beat this land
Dont care how but, Im coming through here
Whatever it takes, oh
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Right through these fences, cut through the stone walls
Dig out the tunnels from a solid stone
There she is, but so surrounded
All those fancy men with soft white hands
Come all this distance, that should be me there
Whatever it takes (whatever it takes), oh
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy

The empathy

To give alms is compassion.
To feel for one’s sufferings is sympathy.
To share one’s sufferings is empathy.
What you do to parents is compassion,
What you do to siblings is sympathy.
Your doings to offspring is empathy.
Shows empathy to others to be great.

Never Alone

You were like a lost kid looking for home
You found what you wanted right in my arms
If you walk out on me
Just leave your memory
Just take my sympathy and go
I love you so youre never alone
If you find another one turns your head
And you cant understand why it hurts so bad
If you walk out on me
Just leave your memory
Just take my sympathy and go
If you walk out on me
Just leave your memory
Just take my sympathy and go
I love you so youre never alone
Girl youre never alone
Never alone

Compassion Seekers

Admitted compassion seekers,
Seem to be on the rise...
In increasing numbers these days.
And with a quiet desperate reaching,
To justify why they have dissatisfactions.
With hearts so unhappy,
In times when any happiness felt...
Has a desire to be freed,
Of those traps...
Carried too long on burdened backs.

Admitted compassion seekers,
Are on the increase with wishes to be released...
From unending debates.
And those rat races chasing,
Fixations to taste a piece of expensive cheese.
A higher consciousness has come to enlighten.
An insight for a wider diet 'speaks'.
And an addiction to 'things'...
Many are finding,
Is diminishing from them to decrease.

Giving to receive to reciprocate the act of that,
Are those advocating to be touched!

Going First To Come Last

There are a lot of players
within this world of ours
trying for the sympathy vote.
Wherever they may go,
they do it in the most fascinating way
by going first to come last.
It is not that they cannot do it
whatever it may be;
it is just that they want
someone else to do it for them
and shower them with sympathy.
