The Dose Makes The Poison
Paracelsus meaning equal
to or greater than Celsus
a famed Swiss Renaissance
alchemist astrologer botanist
physician and general occultist
not first systematic botanist
believed certain balances
of minerals in patient bodies
and also certain illnesses
of body had chemical remedies
remedies that could cure bodies
Paracelsus knew this to be true
“All things are poison,
and nothing is without poison;
only the dose permits
something not to be poisonous.'
In layman’s terms this means
'The dose makes the poison.'
substances considered toxic
are harmless in small doses
but even an ordinarily harmless
substance can
be deadly if
over-consumed

Poison! Poison!
Poison I breathe, poison I eat,
And poison poison I do drink,
Poison are my thoughts, poison are my acts,
Poison are my sleeps, poison are my dreams,
My blood is poison, poison is my flesh,
And poison poison are my bones.
Wherever I move
I envenom my fellow beings,
And enlarge my kingdom,
This is how my life goes on,
Living in the world: all poison poison.

Poison Ivy
Nothing can compare
Two weeks I stared
Hands, hand tied
I got an itch
I call her poison ivy
It can kill
Hey hey, oh well
I've got an itch
I call her poison ivy
It can kill
Oh, well
Poison ivy
Poison ivy
Poison - hey hey hey hey
Took my youth
Everything that ever meant something
Nothing comes between me and you
Most of my friends
Most of my friends
Are dead because of you
Poison ivy
Poison ivy
Poison - hey hey hey hey
I had no choice
But to love you
Poison ivy
Poison ivy
Poison ivy
Hey hey hey hey
Hey hey hey hey
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
[fade and repeat to end]

Procrastination
Poison is my blood,
Poison is my body,
Poison are my thoughts,
They hum around my mind like flies,
Poison is my food,
Hate, jealousy and pride
Are the plants of poison;
They grow in my fertile land,
As wild weeds grow unattended,
I make venomous
Everyone whom I touch.
My existence is contagious,
Why should I be afraid of poison,
Procrastinate in front of the potion,
Now I must have a drink,
For poison will cause no impairment to me.

Poison Heart
No one ever thought this one would survive
Helpless child, gonna walk a drum beat behind
Lock you in a dream, never let you go
Never let you laugh or smile, not you.
Well, I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart
I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart.
Making friends with a homeless torn up man
He just kind of smiles, it really shakes me up.
There's danger on every corner but I'm okay
Walking down the street trying to forget yesterday.
Well, I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart.
I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart,
a poison heart, a poison heart, a poison heart ... yeah!
You know that life really takes its toll
And a poet's gut reaction is to search his very soul
So much damn confusion before my eyes,
But nothing seems to phase me and this one still survives.
I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart.
I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart,
Well, I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart.
a poison heart, a poison heart, a poison heart.
a poison heart, a poison heart, a poison heart.

Poison Ivy
She comes on like a rose
And everybody knows
She'll get you in dutch
Well you can look but you'd better not touch
Poison Ivy, Poison Ivy
Well late at night when you're sleepin'
Poison Ivy comes a creepin' all around
She's pretty as a daisy
But look out man she's crazy
She'll really do you in
if you let her get under your skin
Poison Ivy, Poison Ivy
Well late at night when you're sleepin
Poison Ivy comes a creepin' all around
Measles make mumpy
Mumps'll make you lumpy
Chicken pox will make you jump and twitch
Common cold'll cool you
Whooping cough will fool you
But Poison Ivy Lord will make you itch
You're gonna need an ocean ah
Of Calamine lotion ah
You'll be scratching like a hound
The minute you start to mess around
Poison Ivy, Poison Ivy
Well late at night when you're sleepin'
Poison Ivy comes a creepin' all around

Beautiful Poison
Beautiful poison
Savior and killer of my soul.
I wish for your name to be only mine.
Beautiful poison
I hear you saying my name and answer
Only to be denied your presence
Beautiful poison
You are slow working and sensitive
To my need for loss of pain
Yet you cause the endless agony
Beautiful poison
Another has used you
Will you still work the same for me?
Beautiful poison
Thy name shall remain unnamed

Poison and Hate
Poison is deadly,
But what does it do?
The answer is obvious,
It kills the person its given to.
Hate is called poison
But what does it mean?
For poison sickens and kills,
But the effects of hate cannot even be seen.
But oh! Hate is indeed poison,
As it sickens and plagues the mind.
And of a person who nurtures hate,
If his spirit be seen,
It would not be white
But black, with all the hate and negativity,
Which is darkening its light.

Sonnet-My Food-Allergy
And now and then, I taste the foods I shouldn't;
So stupidly in utter disregard;
The things I loved to eat, some now I couldn't;
My allergy too has made me a Bard.
The sufferings that follow are so great;
I take the drugs to combat Allergy;
Of course, the symptoms do promptly abate;
But side-effects do steal my energy;
1 wish I had avoided the mistake;
I can’t be careful, all the time in life;
By miracle, if God-could only take,
Away the poison that adds to my strife.
Yet, blame I will myself for my sad plight;
How can a poison turn harmless o'er-night?

Toxic
Baby, can't you see
I'm calling
A guy like you
Should wear a warning
It's dangerous
I'm falling
There's no escape
I can't wait
I need a hit
Baby, give me it
You're dangerous
I'm loving it
Too high
Can't come down
Losing my head
Spinning round and round
do you feel me now?
with a taste of your lips
I'm on a ride
You're toxic
I'm slipping under..
With a taste of a poison paradise
I'm addicted to you
Don't you know that you're toxic?
And I love what you do
Don't you know that you're toxic?
It's getting late
To give you up
I took a sip
From a devil's cup
Slowly
It's taking over me
Too high
Can't come down
It's in the air
And it's all around
Can you feel me now?
With a taste of your lips
I'm on a ride
You're toxic
I'm slipping under..
With a taste of a poison paradise
I'm addicted to you
Don't you know that you're toxic?
And I love what you do
Don't you know that you're toxic?
Don't you know that you're toxic?
Taste of your lips, I'm on a ride
You're Toxic
I'm slipping under
With a taste of a poison paradise
I'm addicted to you
Don't you know that you're toxic?
With a taste of your lips
I'm on a ride
You're toxic
I'm slipping under...
With a taste of a poison paradise
I'm addicted to you
Don't you know that you're toxic
Intoxicate me now
With your loving now
I think I'm ready now
(I think I'm ready now)
Intoxicate me now
With your loving now
I think I'm ready now

The Poison Frog
The poison frog looks at sky
He croaks in joyous sound;
The storm gathers
The rain gathers
The typhoon adds additional
Clouds at brim
The poison frog looks at sky
He laughs and asks;
Where will amphibians
With no houses
And many toads
Go for shelter?
I, the poison frog, the rough,
The hairy and the stingy
Shall the toad of anyone
Touch me in my house
I shall poison it, it, it, it
It, it..............................
......the poison frog sings

Poison Girl
I did it all just for her
I did it all just for her
And love's heart is death
For me and my poison girl
A prey she was for the cruelty of love
While its serpent inside crawled straight towards her heart
The coldest kiss love ceased to exist
While we grew apart like never before
I did it all just for her
I did it all just for her
And love wants us dead
Just me and my poison girl
I did it all just for her
I did it all just for her
And love's heart is death
For me and my poison girl
The fire in her eyes
Grew dim and then died
As the poison inside
Reached her heart
And the coldest kiss
Faith ceased to exist
As we grew apart
Like never before
I did it all just for her
I did it all just for her
And love wants us dead
Just me and my poison girl
I did it all just for her
I did it all just for her
And love's heart is death
For me and my poison girl
And the taste of the poison on her lips is of a tomb
I did it all just for her
I did it all just for her
And love wants us dead
Just me and my poison girl
I did it all just for her
I did it all just for her
And love's heart is death
For me and my poison girl

Poison Ivy League
(words & music by giant - baum - kaye)
Hail to thee old ivy league
Poison ivy league
The ra-ra boys are sitting round the table tonight
The ra-ra boys have lots of plans in view
Theyre gonna have panty raids
And make their own lemonade
Theyll live it up just like the big boys do
Poison ivy league, boys in that ivy league
Give me an itch, those sons of the rich
That poison ivy league
The ra-ra boys will go to bed so early tonight
Before exams they need a lot of rest
They gotta make good for dad
They gotta make good so bad
Theyll even pay someone to take that test
Poison ivy league, boys in that ivy league
How can they flunk, theyre so full of bunk
That poison ivy league
The ra-ra boys are being groomed for business some day
For better things to college they were sent
And you can bet theyll be the head of the company
As long as dear old daddys president
Poison ivy league, boys in that ivy league
So loaded with cash, they give me a rash
That poison ivy league
So let it be told
I wont touch them with a ten foot pole
That poison ivy league

A Losing Hand Of Poker
A poison text...
A poison flower...
In a poison, heart...
'How can we draw blood?
And say that we - belong
Together as just good friends
And remain forever in a storm
Looking for a rainbows-end:
How can we pretend…?
We haven't vented such pain;
And anger - now the drug is over
Like a losing hand of poker'.

Drink it all down
Drink your poison
Sip it all down
Beat your wife
Molest your child
Rape the woman next door
So drink your poison
Drink it all down
Smash the bottle
Against the bedroom wall
Smack the whore in your bed
Kill her then feel guilty
The very next day
When you wake up
And see the blood
So drink the poison
That brings doubt and insanity
To the mind
Thats right
Drink your poison
Drink it all down
