Side Stepping Trouble

oh no not upset with anyone
have learned proven wisdom
of avoiding people who would
sow troubles like proverbial
carriers of bubonic plague

Assumptions Kept

Are you the kind that gets upset...
When your assumptions kept,
Have been proven to be incorrect?

And when this is discovered,
Do you do your best to pretend to forget...
When in the presence of someone,
You hope has forgotten your disrespect?

Are you the kind that gets upset...
When your assumptions kept,
Have been proven to be incorrect?
And those assumptions had been shared,
By others also like you...
Assuming throughout their lives,
That what they hear about others is true.

Are you the kind that gets upset...
When your assumptions kept,
Have been proven to be incorrect?
And the only thing you can do is your best...
To prove to the ones you have done this to,
Is to prove to them you are not the fool...
You have shown yourself to be.

Chinese Wisdom

In crisis, wisdom growth,
And gained.
Intelligence endowed,
But wisdom is learned.

Wise men listen more,
Talk no nonsense.
Wise men may be learned
But learned men may not be wise.

A silent fool can pass for a wise man.
Silence is golden & wise,
Silence is the trusted friend of wisdom.

It is easy to blame our memory
when our judgment is at fault.
It takes a tree ten years to mature;
It takes a man one hundred years to form.

We grow old fast,
We grow wise slowly.
Youth can look only forward,
but age can also look backward.

Maturity and wisdom
take a lifetime to achieve.
Achieving maturity does not
Grow with age.

Wisdom grows when
Ones learned to avoid the wrongs.
Stand for the rights.

Biggest flaw of ones
Has a lot of flaws and
Not correcting them,
Not avoiding them.

Life is a learning journey
To discover who we are,
Learning as if life is
one continuous lesson.

Wisdom is attained by learning
when to hold one’s tongue.
Discretion is the trusted friend of wisdom.
A wise head must possess a closed mouth.

Hmph...People

Leave me alone.

'Okay,
I will.'

I'm not talking to you.

'I see.
Then...
Who ARE you talking to? '

No one in particular.
It has been a while since I've said it.
And it is refreshing to know,
You weren't offended at all.
I remember the days,
My saying that would upset you.

'Why should I feel offended?
Or upset.
I was hoping you weren't going to ask me,
Where I am going? '

What?
Where are you going?

'That's none of your business.
And I'm hoping that doesn't offend.
Now you can practice not getting upset.'

Upset?
Why should I get upset?
You're trying to get me upset.
And I'm not a child.
You can do whatever you want.
Who cares?
I don't.
Upset?
Why should I get upset?
You're trying to get me upset.
You can do whatever you want.
Who cares?
I don't.
And what are you laughing about?

'I was only teasing.
I'm not going anywhere.'

Oh yes you are!
You're going to leave me alone.

'Okay,
I will.'

People!
They will do anything to get on your nerves.
Upset?
As if I was that easily provoked!
Hmph...people!

'I heard that.'

Who cares!

The fact that political ideologies are tangible realities is not a proof of their vitally necessary character. The bubonic plague was an extraordinarily powerful social reality, but no one would have regarded it as vitally necessary.

My cousin never writes

hit by a semi and pasted on the freeway

Missi was a boy and he was a good dog
now he's a dead dog dead dog
let's go get drunk and
sing songs about Missi

Have You Forgotten?

Are my arms not strong enough,
To hold you within them...
When your times get tough?

Have I not proven I could carry the weight,
Of sharing your troubles...
Without you feeling alone embracing heartache?

Have I not been there for you,
Whenever whatever it was...
You were going through?

It was you,
Not me...
Who decided you were alone.
It was you,
Not me...
Who wanted to tackle the world on your own.

Are my arms not strong enough,
To hold you within them...
When your times get tough?

Have I not proven I could carry the weight,
Of sharing your troubles...
Without you feeling alone embracing heartache?

Have you forgotten?
When you feel rotten...
So do I?
That's why I dislike to see or hear you cry.

Come here!
Put your head on my shoulder.
We can get through whatever it is you wish!

Unfamiliar With It

The most difficult thing to do,
For one in a leadership position...
And is capable to lead,
Is to show an accountability witnessed...
But not from this one is it believed!

With aptitude to accept responsibility.
And the people represented are so unfamiliar with it.
They denounce the ability of this leader.
Since he performing duties of one...
They had never before seen.
So assured of himself...
They feel demeaned.

Incredible!
And they are stunned.
The people represented are so unfamiliar with it.
Especially coming from someone,
Labelled 'this one'.

And believe they do with false perceptions,
A true leader should be waving a magic wand.
Since then from them...
All their troubles would be gone.

And the one chosen in their hour of need...
Has not proven worthy,
To produce the magic they expect.
Not the magic they perceive.

So blame and accuse him they do,
For being human too!
Having his feet to get wet.
And not showing a sign,
Of being able to walk on water.
They turn their backs on him to shun in regret.

This has left them disgruntled and vocally upset!
They protest his leadership.
With claims he doesn't represent what they should get!
And he knows if he should leave...
They would be left to profusely bleed.

Proverbs Witty Bits Of Wisdom

Proverbs popularly
defined as short
expressions of
popular wisdom.

Efforts to improve
on the popular
definition

have not led
to a more
precise definition.

The proverbial
wisdom
is in the form
of a general

observation
about
the world
or a bit

of advice,
sometimes
more nearly
an attitude

toward a situation
stereotypical.

When It Rains, It Really Pours

(words & music by w. emmerson)
You know what it takes,
Youve got it, baby.
You are the only one I chose.
Dont leave me here with all these heartaches,
Only you and heaven knows
About my troubles troubles troubles.
When it rains, it really pours...
You shouldnt have took away my loving
You know you thrill me from head to toe.
I got a feeling for you baby
And youre the only one who knows
About my troubles, troubles, troubles.
When it rains, it really pours...
You know what you did to make me love you
You really opened up my nose.
You got what you wanted, now you left me.
Thats the way the story goes.
Well, I got troubles, troubles, troubles.
When it rains, it really pours.

Time For Wisdom

Of many curches springing up like mushrooms in Africa,
But how many souls are they able to save? !
And this is the time for wisdom,
For the churches had been more than the congregations around.
There are so much troubles in this world but,
Who really brought about them?
And like a treacherous quagmire road with no footing at all,
For we have created the troubles for our own selves on this earth.
Of many churches and of newly grounds for more!
And like a severe invasion of extreme importance;
But let wisdom be your better-half on this earth,
For we have more to learn than hiding the truth.

Since Yesterday

I am sleeping with the proverbial flying carpet of love,
And i am drinking the proverbial fire balls from heaven;
But life has come a very long way to me,
And i have been thinking of you since yesterday.
I am eating from the proverbial iron horse of fame,
And like two wave loaves of bread baked with salt;
But i am now like a forgotten sheaf from a field.
Love is just like that at times and,
I have to get this water away from my side;
And to reap the harvest with an ox and a donkey!
The odds have taken m eso long on this love and,
I want to keep this vision going all the time;
But like the owner and his son who required a test,
For i have been thinking of you since yesterday.

Chorus Of Women

They're always abusing the women,
As a terrible plague to men:
They say we're the root of all evil,
And repeat it again and again;
Of war, and quarrels, and bloodshed,
All mischief, be what it may!
And pray, then, why do you marry us,
If we're all the plagues you say?
And why do you take such care of us,
And keep us so safe at home,
And are never easy a moment
If ever we chance to roam?
When you ought to be thanking heaven
That your Plague is out of the way,
You all keep fussing and fretting--
'Where is _my_ Plague to-day?'
If a Plague peeps out of the window,
Up go the eyes of men;
If she hides, then they all keep staring
Until she looks out again.

An action is proven right
Only after its effects.
