Sonnet: My Wealth- Poetry
The wealth that God has given me is one!
One in a million earthlings may possess;
A gift that few dream of under the sun;
In such short time, He has given excess.
Maybe, the wealth is not in silver/ gold;
Immeasurable, priceless and unsurpassed;
In centuries, it cannot become old;
And God gave it though I had never asked.
This wealth will do miracles on readers;
Good deeds will happen ev’n after I die;
It will produce good men and good leaders,
And help earthlings to shun evil/ defy!
God will reward me in Heaven again;
On earth, temptations will be on the wane!

Gold Rush
In 1848, James Wilson Marshall struck gold in California
and the gold rush was on.
Men saw nothing but shiny metal
twinkling in their eyes.
None thought of the dangers
that might well lie ahead.
Along with the good
also came the bad.
Gold fever was striking everyone,
every man and woman
wanted to get there
as fast as they could
to stake a claim
and be rich overnight.
At times, it seemed a nation
became addicted to the smell of gold.
Some got rich and others didn’t,
some lived through it
and others died before it was over.
All of them had one thing on their mind.
The mother load was somewhere
and they intended it to find
back in 1848
during the gold rush days.

Pussycat Perfect
Utterly feline first of all,
With all that this entails,
As if one merely had to call,
As if that never fails...
Companionship came at a price
This heart was urged to pay,
Not willing for the sacrifice,
I had to bid good-day...
So off she went to seek fresh meat,
Like candy on a stick,
Pussycat perfect, looking sweet,
She simply took her pick...
I sighed to think I played the pawn,
As if she were my queen,
But then there came the light of dawn,
The brightest light I've seen...
Of course, I've met her kind before,
The sort that's up for fun,
Yet how could I this truth ignore?
Gold-diggers every one...
They seek the house before the home,
They seek the car as well.
While they've sweet lips like honeycomb,
These hide the fangs of Hell...
Pussycat perfect stole my heart,
With pursed lips and a purr...
I think I'd rather live apart,
Than trust the likes of her...
Yet my heart's healed a hundred times,
Perhaps no more again,
Because I've seen such cats have crimes
They hide their best from men...
Both young and old are merely prey,
Perchance to feed upon,
Till all their purchases would pay
Gold-diggers till they're gone...
Purloined by stealth and flattery,
They persevere with spite...
Pernicious pets aren't meant to be
The ones to kiss good-night...

Dreaming the Perfect Imperfect Dream
She said:
'I have made you up
and now I believe in you more
than my reality
and my dependence is complete
