Gold Rush
In 1848, James Wilson Marshall struck gold in California
and the gold rush was on.
Men saw nothing but shiny metal
twinkling in their eyes.
None thought of the dangers
that might well lie ahead.
Along with the good
also came the bad.
Gold fever was striking everyone,
every man and woman
wanted to get there
as fast as they could
to stake a claim
and be rich overnight.
At times, it seemed a nation
became addicted to the smell of gold.
Some got rich and others didn’t,
some lived through it
and others died before it was over.
All of them had one thing on their mind.
The mother load was somewhere
and they intended it to find
back in 1848
during the gold rush days.

Got That Feeling
Got that feeling
Luck is a little of it
I got that feeling
I cant stop winning
A to z
Look what youre missing
As we speak
Your numbers rising
Take a peak
Theres just enough to go around
Get a piece
Your own little piece of hell
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Got that feeling
Loving every minute of it
Got that feeling
I cant stop winning
Stop winning
Have a drink
A pot of coffee
Cannot think
To many friends here
Just an inch between striking out and striking rich
If thats the risk, why not take it, take it, take it
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get your gold
Got that feeling
Loving every minute of it
Got that feeling
I cant stop winning
And start living
Start winning
Start living
You cant borrow, tomorrow

Silver Is Metal Used To Kill Demon Souls

thirty pieces of silver payment

Ho For California!
Rouse ye, Yankees, from your dreaming!
See that vessel, strong and bold,
On her banner proudly streaming,
California for gold!
See a crowd around her gather,
Eager all to push from land!
They will have all sorts o' weather
Ere they reach the golden strand.
Rouse to action,
Fag and faction;
Ho, for mines of wealth untold!
Rally! Rally!
All for Cali-
Fornia in search of gold!
Away, amid the rush and racket,
Ho for the California packet!
Wake ye! O'er the surging ocean,
Loud above each coral cave,
Comes a sound of wild commotion
From the lands beyond the wave.
Riches, riches, greater--rarer,
Than Golconda's far-famed mines;
Ho for California's shores!
Where the gold so brightly shines.
O'er the ocean
All's commotion;
Ho for mines of wealth untold!
Countless treasure
Waits on pleasure;
Ho for California's gold!
Let us go the rush and racket,
On the Californian packet.
Hear the echo wildly ringing
Through our country far and wide!
Thousands leaving home and springing
Into the resistless tide.
Now our nation's roused from sleeping,
All alert and wide awake.
O, there's no such thing as keeping
Folks asleep when gold's the stake!
Old Oregon
We'll look not on;
Ho, for mines of wealth untold!
We'll take our way,
Without delay,
In search of gold--of glittering gold!
Here we go, amid the racket,
On the Californian packet!
Yankees! all who have the fever,
Go the rush without delay!
Take a spade and don your beaver;
Tell your friends you must away!
You will get a sight o' money;
Reap perhaps a hundred-fold!
O, it would be precious funny
To sit in a hall of gold!
Let's be going,
Gales are blowing,
Ho, all hands for digging gold!
Romance throwing
Colors glowing
Round these mines of wealth untold!
Ho, we go amid the racket,
On the Californian packet!

You Remind Me Of Gold
Baby, when I think about you
And thats when I think
I think about gold
You remind me of gold
And when I see the sunrise in the sky
And when I hear your brakes come squealing by
I forget
Everything Ive been told
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
Baby I always think about you
I think of the life and glory you hold
You remind me of gold
And even though there was no sun today
And though you are a thousand miles away
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold
You remind me of gold

Silver And Gold
Silver, silver and gold
Silver and gold, silver and gold
Ev'ryone wishes for silver and gold
How do you measure its worth?
Just by the pleasure it gives here on earth.
Silver and gold, silver and gold
Mean so much more when I see
Silver and gold decorations
On ev'ry Christmas tree.
Silver, silver and gold
Silver, silver and gold
Silver and gold
Silver and gold
Silver and gold
Wise men brought gifts to the mange I'm told
Mary was humble to see
Shepherds and kings there on bended knees
It's silver and gold, silver and gold
Feeling the world with their lives
Silver and gold how they shimmer on ev'ry Christmas night
On ev'ry Christmas night
Silver, silver and gold

I wish I lived back in the Old West days, because I'd save up my money for about twenty years so I could buy a solid-gold pick. Then I'd go out west and start digging for gold. When someone came up and asked what I was doing, I'd say, 'Looking for gold, ya durn fool.' He'd say, 'Your pick is gold.' And I'd say, 'well, that was easy.' Good joke, huh

Stay Gold
Seize upon that moment long ago
One breath away and there you will be
So young and carefree
Again you will see
That place in time...so gold
Steal away into that way back when
You thought that all would last forever
But like the weather
Nothing can ever...and be in time
Stay gold
But can it be
When we can see
So vividly
A memory
And yes you say
So must the day
Too, fade away
And leave a ray of sun
So gold
Life is but a twinkling of an eye
Yet filled with sorrow and compassion
Though not imagined
All things that happen
Will age too old
Though gold

Train Of Gold
I saw her there from across the street, she was dressed in black
And when she moved she moved to a beat, like a cadillac
She rode a train, train train train, a train of gold
She was a woman of suspicious ways, never saw daylight
And in her room she sat and passed the days
And shed creep out at night
She rode a train, train train train, a train of gold
Chorus: train of gold, train of gold
It took me so long to find out I was wrong
Now I wait for her in the night
Looked through a window saw a velvet sky, a shade of green
A violin was playing soft and sweet, like it was a dream
She rode a train, train train train, a train of gold
Train of gold, train of gold
It took me so long to find out I was wrong
Now I wait for her in the night
Train of gold, train of gold
I dont believe her, it just couldnt be her
I cant get it out of my mind

Golden
There is gold, there is solid gold,
That warns and is proud of itself.
I am shining with love at this metal,
A great implement, a wonderful weapon
That never dies, nor does it brighten
To our eyes, like the light as it grows.
The sun is golden, forming weather
And leaving us at the end to hot feeling.
Gold may strive for more, but our Sun
Is more golden than gold.

Adonis
1.
Each of us like you
has died once,
has passed through drift of wood-leaves,
cracked and bent
and tortured and unbent
in the winter-frost,
the burnt into gold points,
lighted afresh,
crisp amber, scales of gold-leaf,
gold turned and re-welded
in the sun;
each of us like you
has died once,
each of us has crossed an old wood-path
and found the winter-leaves
so golden in the sun-fire
that even the live wood-flowers
were dark.
2.
Not the gold on the temple-front
where you stand
is as gold as this,
not the gold that fastens your sandals,
nor thee gold reft
through your chiselled locks,
is as gold as this last year's leaf,
not all the gold hammered and wrought
and beaten
on your lover's face.
brow and bare breast
is as golden as this:
each of us like you
has died once,
each of us like you
stands apart, like you
fit to be worshipped.

Gold And Silver
Gold and silver has always been sought.
But to some it's just a thought.
They don't think of it
and they don't know
how it shines and how it does glow.
The jewelry they wear turns their skin green.
Then they scrub it to make it come clean.
And what does this say about the fairness of things?
Some with nothing and some with gold rings.
It says there's division between rich and poor.
It says the rich have made a detour
to avoid facing the fact that it's wrong.
And it says to the poor, 'You don't belong.'
Gold and silver, you belong to the earth
but they've stripped you of it for its worth.
When we finally learn the lessons we need
we'll put back your metals so you won't bleed.

Because, you know, resilience - if you think of it in terms of the Gold Rush, then you'd be pretty depressed right now because the last nugget of gold would be gone. But the good thing is, with innovation, there isn't a last nugget. Every new thing creates two new questions and two new opportunities.

Gold!
Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold!
Bright and yellow, hard and cold
Molten, graven, hammered and rolled,
Heavy to get and light to hold,
Hoarded, bartered, bought and sold,
Stolen, borrowed, squandered, doled,
Spurned by young, but hung by old
To the verge of a church yard mold;
Price of many a crime untold.
Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold!
Good or bad a thousand fold!
How widely it agencies vary,
To save - to ruin - to curse - to bless -
As even its minted coins express :
Now stamped with the image of Queen Bess,
And now of a bloody Mary.

You Got Gold
Is there ever enough space between us
To keep us both honest and true?
Why is it so hard just to sit in the yard
And stare at the sky so blue?
Ive got a new way of walking and a new way of talking
Honey when Im around you,
But it gives me the blues when Ive got some good news
And youre not there to bring it to.
Life is a blessing, its a delicatessen
Of all the little favors you do.
All wrapped up together no matter the weather,
Baby you always come through.
Its a measure of treasure that gives me the pleasure
Of loving you the way I do
And you know I would gladly say I need your love badly
And bring these little things to you.
Cause you got gold
Gold inside of you
You got gold
Gold inside of you
Well I got some
Gold inside me too
Well Im thinking Im knowing that I gotta be going
You know I hate to say so long.
It gives me an ocean of mixed up emotion
Ill have to work it out in a song.
Well Im leaving a lot for the little I got
But you know a lot a little will do
And if you give me your love
Ill let it shine up above
And light my way back home to you.
Cause you got gold
Gold inside of you
Cause you got gold
Gold inside of you
Well I got some
Gold inside me too
You got wheels
Turning inside of you
You got wheels
Turning inside of you
Well I got wheels
Turning inside me too

A Friendship
Gold is a metal that glints in the sun,
a precious metal that everyone wants some,
but gold can also be more special
when friendship looms on you.
Friendship is something special
and worth more than the metal gold.
For once, it’s wrapped around you,
you will never feel the cold.
It maybe invisible to the touch,
but can still be felt.
For when you are in need,
a friend is always there.
Their words melt the coldness
that comes from despair
and turn your frown
from an upside down smile around.
There is an old saying
that goes just like this,
with one friend you’ll never need
to ever be lonely again.
So when you have a friendship
take care of it with all your might,
for if you let it go
it may disappear out of sight.

Pocket Full Of Gold
He slipped the ring off his finger
When he walked in the room
And he found him some stranger
And promised her the moon
How many lies you must have told
You think youre a rich man
With your pocket full of gold
For another mans treasure
Youd say anything
But is one night of pleasure
Worth the trouble youll bring
Dont look so surprised
cause son I should know
I once was a rich man
With my pocket full of gold
Some night youre gonna wind up
On the wrong end of a gun
Some jealous guys gonna show up
And youll pay for what youve done
What will it say on your tombstone
Here lies a rich man
With his pocket full of gold
Yeah, here lies a rich man
With his pocket full of gold

After The Gold Rush
After the gold rush is over
and you’ve collected your precious store
always keep it close for safekeeping
and remember to guard the door.
There is always someone
who wants whatever you have got,
always beware of strangers
no matter how innocent they look
there will always be one among them
who will want whatever you got.
After the gold rush is over
before you settle into peace and harmony
always beware, my friend
as there will always be one
who wants whatever you have got.

Gold In Them Hills
I know it doesn't seem that way
But maybe it's the perfect day
Even though the bills are piling
And maybe Lady Luck ain't smiling
But if we'd only open our eyes
We'd see the blessings in disguise
That all the rain clouds are fountains
Though our troubles seem like mountains
There's gold in them hills
There's gold in them hills
So don't lose heart
Give the day a chance to start
Every now and then life says
Where do you think you're going so fast
We're apt to think it cruel but sometimes
It's a case of cruel to be kind
And if we'd get up off our knees
Why then we'd see the forest for the trees
And we'd see the new sun rising
Over the hills on the horizon
There's gold in them hills
There's gold in them hills
So don't lose faith
Give the world a chance to say...
A word or two, my friend
There's no telling how the day might end
And we'll never know until we see
That there's gold in them hills
There's gold in them hills
So don't lose heart
Give the day a chance to start
There's gold in them hills...
There's gold in them hills...
